Joan M. Geraghty

Mrs. Joan M. Geraghty, 77, of Atlanta, formerly of Dubuque, died Friday, Oct. 25, 2002, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Atlanta.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church, Atlanta. The Sandy Springs Chapel Funeral Directors, Atlanta, is in charge of arrangements.

Surviving are a daughter, Mary G. McGinn, of Atlanta; two sons, David P. Geraghty, of Whitefish Bay, Wis., and Timothy J. Geraghty, of Tiburon, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Goodwin Peacock, of Balboa Island, Calif., and Mrs. Maurna Donovan, of St. Paul, Minn.; and eight grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph C. Geraghty.

Memorials may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society.

William J. Skow

SAVANNA, Ill. - William James "Bill" Skow, 77, of Savanna, died Friday, Nov. 1, 2002, at Mercy Medical Center, Clinton, Iowa.

Eleanor M. Ryan

Eleanor M. Ryan, 81, of Stonehill Care Center, Dubuque, died Saturday morning, Nov. 2, 2002, at the care center.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph's Church, LeMars, Iowa, where friends may call after 1 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Calvary-St. Joseph's Cemetery , Le Mars.

The Hoffmann-Schneider Funeral Home, 1640 Main St., Dubuque, is in charge of arrangements.

Rose M. Imhoff

Rose Mary Imhoff, 88, of Baltimore, formerly of Dubuque, died Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2002, at St. Elizabeth Nursing Home, Baltimore, of natural causes.

Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. John the Baptist Church, Peosta, Iowa. Burial of the cremated remains will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery , Key West, Iowa.

She was born on March 14, 1914, in Dubuque, daughter of George and Rose Luke.

She married A.A. "Ollie" Imhoff on June 22, 1938. They moved from Dubuque to Waterloo, Iowa, in 1947, returning to Dubuque frequently to visit family and friends. She moved to Baltimore in 1995 to be closer to her daughter.

Rose and Ollie were active participants in both St. Mary's and St. Edward's Parishes in Waterloo. They were active members of the Elks, Knights of Columbus and St. Vincent de Paul Society. Rose also was a member of the St. Francis Auxiliary.

Surviving are three children, Tod Imhoff, of Omaha, Neb., Pam Kelly, of Baltimore, and Jeff Imhoff, of Phoenix, Ariz.; three grandsons; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Carol Salz, of Tempe, Ariz., and Lida Kremer, of Lansing, Ill.

She was preceded in death by Ollie Imhoff, her beloved husband of 48 years; two sisters, Gertrude Clemens and Jane Bisanz; and a brother, George Luke.

The family wishes any memorials be directed to a charity of giver's choice in her name and condolences sent to Pam Kelly, 2927 N. Charles St., Baltimore, Md. 21218.

Robert G. Tuegel

Robert Gerald Tuegel, 65, of Desert Hot Springs, Calif., formerly of Dubuque, died of lung cancer at 3:15 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2002, at home.

Ruth A. Anger

GALENA, Ill. - Ruth A. Anger, 67, of 6021 Council Hill Road, rural Galena, died after a courageous battle with cancer Thursday, Oct. 26, 2000, at the Galena-Stauss Hospital.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Galena, with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Furlong Funeral Chapel, Galena, where there will be a scripture wake service at 6:30 p.m.

Mrs. Anger worked at the former Burgess Battery Factory, The Grant Hills Motel and McDonalds.

She was born on April 26, 1933, in Galena, daughter of Elmer and Viola (Temperly) Soat. She married Clarence Anger on Aug. 3, 1957, at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Galena; he died on Jan. 17, 1997.

She spent all of her life in this area. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church.

Surviving are three children, Mark J. (and his friend, Eileen), of Elizabeth, Michael J. (Dana) Anger, of Galena, and Vickie Anger (and her friend, Jeff), of Elizabeth; two grandchildren, Joshua and Jordan Anger, and a special friend, Lindsay; two sisters, Carol Soat, of Galena, and Helen (Wesley) Richard, of Galena; and two brothers, Robert (Mary) Soat, of Galena, and Richard (Carol) Soat, of rural Galena.

She also was preceded in death by her parents; and an infant sister, Betty.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Hospice of Dubuque and the Galena Ambulance.

Marie L. Becker

DYERSVILLE, Iowa - Marie L. Becker, 84, of Dyersville, died after a brief illness Thursday, Oct. 26, 2000, at Stonehill Care Center, Dubuque.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Francis Xavier Ba-silica, Dyersville, with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Kramer Funeral Home, Dyersville, where there will be a parish scripture service at 4 p.m.

She was a secretary for Dr. Griffin in Dyersville for a number of years. She later worked for Dr. Skelly in Dubuque.

She was born on Nov. 28, 1915, in Dyersville, daughter of Herman and Anna (Wente) Becker.

She was a member of the St. Francis Xavier Basilica choir.

Surviving are five nieces and nephews, Joyce (Frank) Steindl, of Stillwater, Okla., John (Joyce) Becker, of Dyersville, Gary (Barbara) Becker, of West Seneca, N.Y., Paul (Linda) Becker, of Dyersville, and Kathy (Joe) Schoening, of Rockford, Ill.; 15 great-nieces and nephews; and a sister-in-law, Eleanor Becker, of Elkader.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, the Rev. Msgr. Edmund J. Becker and Bernard Becker; and two sisters, Sister Rita Clare and Leona M. Osterhaus.

Velda I. Bills

SHULLSBURG, Wis. - Velda I. Bills, 86, of Shullsburg, died Friday, Oct. 27, 2000, at Lafayette Manor Nursing Home, Darlington.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Centenary United Methodist Church, Shullsburg. Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Furlong Funeral Home, Shullsburg, and after 10 a.m. Monday at the church.

She was born on Nov. 11, 1913, in New Diggings, daughter of John and Jennie (Hall) Edge.

She married Leonard Bills on Oct. 17, 1936. They farmed most of their lives and retired and moved to Shullsburg. Mr. Bills died on June 24, 1969.

She was a graduate of the New Diggings High School in 1931. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and baby-sitting.

Surviving are a sister, Eileen Laird, of Oconomowoc; a brother, Bill Edge, of New Diggings; a sister, Jean Edge, of Shullsburg; many nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and nephews; great-great-nieces and nephews; a sister-in-law, Jen Edge; and a brother-in-law, Arthur Hancock.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Lyle Edge; two sisters, Dorothy Edge and Audery Hancock; and two nephews, Jack Laird and Ron Hancock; and a brother-in-law, Allen Laird.

Jane A. Conner

Mrs. Vincent G. (Jane A.) Conner, 43, of 884 Berkley Place, died at 7:15 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, 2000, at home after a lengthy illness.

Gayle M. Duggan

Gayle M. (LeVan) Duggan, 95, of Heritage Manor, formerly of 2045 Chaney Road, died at 11:45 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2000, at Heritage Manor.
Private family services will be at a later date. The Egelhof, Siegert & Casper Westview Funeral Home, 2659 Kennedy Road, is in charge of arrangements.

Ralph R. Furry

Ralph R. "Mike" Furry, 75, of 2635 Kerper Blvd., died at 7:05 a.m. Friday, Oct. 27, 2000, at The Finley Hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Mueller Memorial Chapel at Linwood Cemetery . Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery , where military rites will be accorded by the American Legion Post 6 of Dubuque. Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main St.

Mr. Furry worked as a machine repairman at John Deere Dubuque Works for 37 years until his retirement.

He was born on Aug. 20, 1925, in Dubuque, son of Roy and Ellen (Orcutt) Furry. He married Bernadine Grimstad on Jan. 29, 1951, in Dubuque; she died on May 16, 1999.

He was a World War II Navy veteran, having served on an LSM. He was a member of Third Presbyterian Church, Local 94 Retirees, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Alligator Alley LSM Veteran's Group. He also was a member of the Skilled Trades Committee at John Deere.

Mike enjoyed repairing anything and woodworking. He also was a commercial fisherman for many years.

Surviving are two daughters, Judie L. Erschen, of Bettendorf, Iowa, and Janice K. Delks, of Dubuque; three sons, Edward R. (Tonia) Furry, of Epworth, Iowa, James J. Furry, of Dubuque, and William T. (Deena) Furry, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Betty Strickland, of Dubuque; two brothers, Elmer (Ruth) Furry and Dale (Marge) Furry, both of Dubuque.

He also was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Gary Erschen, on Dec. 7, 1999.

Memorials may be given to Third Presbyterian Church, 3100 Windsor Ave., Dubuque, Iowa.

Dorothy A. Hayes

Mrs. Clem J. (Dorothy A.) Hayes, 84, of 353 Edith St., died at 2:17 a.m. Friday, Oct. 27, 2000, at The Finley Hospital.
There will be no services or visitation. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery.

The Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main St., is in charge of arrangements.

Sister Mary Pierce Joyce, OP HAZEL GREEN, Wis. - Sister Mary Pierce Joyce, OP, 92, of St. Dominic Villa, Hazel Green, died at 10:50 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, 2000, at St. Dominic Villa.

Lena M. Kirschbaum

BLOOMINGTON, Wis. - Lena M. Kirschbaum, 84, of Bloomington, died Thursday, Oct. 26, 2000, at Orchard Manor Nursing Home, South Lancaster Township.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Bloomington, with the Rev. Steve Steele officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Metcalfe-Kuenster-Page Funeral Home, Bloomington, where there will be a Catholic Daughters of the Americas rosary at 3:15 p.m.

Mrs. Kirschbaum worked in the farmhouse at Stonefield Village, near Cassville, for eight years.

She was born on Dec. 12, 1915, in Bloomington, daughter of George and Ella (Ahasey) Neis. She married Edward Kirschbaum on Feb. 21, 1933, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Bloomington; he died on March 10, 1979.

She loved quilting and playing cards. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas and the St. Jane Frances Study Club.

Surviving are 10 children, Pete (Delores) Kirschbaum, of Bloomington, Jim (Toni) Kirschbaum, of Bloomington, Mary (Dave) Bausch, of Cassville, Norma "Janie" (Jim) Smith, of Milton, Margaret (Dale) Baumler, of Anamosa, Iowa, Rose (Jerry) Trautsch, of Prairie du Chien, Joe (Jean) Kirschbaum, of Bloomington, Jerry (Pam) Kirschbaum, of Cassville, Gene Kirschbaum, of Prairie du Chien, and Darlene "Suze" (Randy) Gutknecht, of Glen Haven; 40 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Catherine Myers, of Lancaster.

She also was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son; and two brothers, Raymond and Earl Neis.

Robert W. Marcure

STOCKTON, Ill. - Robert W. Marcure, 60, of Stockton, died Friday, Oct. 27, 2000, at Morgan Memorial Home, Stockton.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Hermann Funeral Home, Stockton, where friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday.

Burial will be in Lost Mound Cemetery , Hanover.

Urban Pottebaum

EAST DUBUQUE, Ill. - Urban Pottebaum, 74, of East Dubuque, died at 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, 2000, at The Finley Hospital, Dubuque.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Siegert-Didesch Colonial Funeral Home, 390 N. Grandview Ave., where friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday. Arrangements are pending.

Alyce Seidel

WYOMING, Iowa - Alyce Seidel, 72, of Wyoming, died Thursday, Oct. 26, 2000, at home.
Arrangements are pending at Carson & Son Funeral and Cremation Services, Maquoketa.
