Susan M. Bausch

CASSVILLE, Wis. - Susan M. Bausch, 90, of Cassville, died Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2002, at Mercy Medical Center-Dubuque.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Charles Catholic Church, Cassville, with the Rev. John Norder officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. today at Martin Page Funeral Home, Cassville, where there will be a parish scripture service at 3:15 p.m.

She was born on March 27, 1912, in Cassville Township, daughter of Peter and Elizabeth (Esser) Bausch.

She enjoyed playing cards, gardening and loved cooking and baking, especially pies.

Surviving are a sister, Margaret (Thomas) Hubbard, of Cassville; a nephew; two nieces; two great-nieces; five great-nephews; and two great-great nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Reiner Bausch; and two sisters, Exine Bausch and Marie Bausch.

Raymond L. Dunne

EAST DUBUQUE, Ill. - Raymond L. Dunne, 63, of 99 Buckskin Lane, East Dubuque, died at 3:45 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2002, at home.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, East Dubuque. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery , Key West, Iowa. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Miller Funeral Home, East Dubuque, where there will be a parish scripture service at 4 p.m.

He was born on Nov. 19, 1938, in Cascade, Iowa, son of Gerald and Margaret (Moran) Dunne. He married Shirley Rasque on Feb. 29, 1991, in Dubuque.

He was a 1957 graduate of the former Loras Academy, Dubuque. He was formerly employed at John Deere Dubuque Works for 33 years. He later worked at Value Independent Parts, a division of Rainbo Oil Co. until his recent illness.

He was a member of United Automobile Workers Local 94 and St. Mary's Parish. He loved his family, friends and his dog, J.R. He enjoyed traveling south in the winter with his wife and friends. He also enjoyed walking with his friend, Pat.

Surviving are his wife, Shirley Dunne; children, Susan Marie Cogbill, of Galveston, Texas, Greg (Janelle) Dunne, of Coppell, Texas, Linda (Wayne) Henderson, of Denton, Texas, Nancy Carlson, of Flower Mound, Texas, Dan (Angie) Kalloway, of Dubuque, and Mary (Jeff) Connolly, of East Dubuque; 16 grandchildren; seven brothers and sisters, Madeline (Ray) Wall, of Platteville, Wis., Marv (Marilyn) Dunne, of Davenport, Iowa, Helen (Jack) Lyons, of Key West, Iowa, Jeanette Wampler, of Farley, Iowa, Doris Laughlin, of Key West, Iowa, and Tom (Janice) Dunne and Carolyn (Tom) Oeth, both of Dubuque.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Kenneth Dunne, in 1963, and Howard, in infancy.

A Raymond L. Dunne Memorial Fund has been established.

The family would like to thank Hospice of Dubuque and many thanks for the support from Dr. Joseph Compton and nurse Jodi.

Maude E. Wilkinson

CUBA CITY, Wis. - Maude Evelyn Wilkinson, 89, of Madison, Wis., formerly of Cuba City, Merrimac, Platteville and Winter, died Sunday, Oct. 13, 2002, at the University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics, Madison.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at United Methodist Church, Cuba City, with Pastor Rob McClintock officiating. Burial will be in Big Patch Cemetery . Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Haudenshield Funeral Home, Cuba City.

Mrs. Wilkinson taught third grade at the Cuba City Grade School until her retirement.

She was born on Sept. 22, 1913, in Platteville, daughter of John and Mary Jane (Waters) Baker.

She married Joseph P. Wilkinson on Sept. 24, 1940, in Platteville. They farmed in the Platteville area for many years prior to moving to Cuba City. Upon her retirement, they moved to Winter to enjoy the north woods. After Joe's death in 1986, she moved to the Lake, Wis., area and later to Madison.

She loved people, going places and cooking, especially favorite desserts for her family and friends. She also loved the Packers and watched her last game on Sunday, Oct. 13, with her family.

Surviving are her son, Gregory (Laurie), of Middleton; a granddaughter, Angela (Jeff) Grim; three great-granddaughters, Ashley, Autumn and Amber; a daughter-in-law, Norma Wilkinson; a special nephew, Robert Baker, of Mineral Point; and many nieces and nephews.

She also was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Carlton, in 1984; four sisters, Bessie, Laura, Mary and Ruth; and two brothers, Donald and Edward.

In lieu of flowers, the family plans to establish a Maude E. Wilkinson Scholarship for Cuba City High School graduates interested in the education field.

Cora E. Haverland

LOUISBURG, Wis. - Cora E. Haverland, 77, of 2111 Louisburg Road, Cuba City, died Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2002, at Mercy Medical Center-Dubuque.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Kieler, with the Rev. Jim Bartylla officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Casey Funeral Home, Cuba City, where there will be a parish rosary at 4 p.m.

She was born on Sept. 4, 1925, in Lost Nation, Iowa, daughter of Edward and Viola (Litts) Mohr.

She married Alfred "Alfie" Haverland on July 10, 1944, at Immaculate Conception Church. Cora farmed with her husband in Louisburg for a few years. In 1964, they opened Jim's Corral with Alfie's brother, Jim, and were there until 1978.

Cora loved to cook and quilt. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Council of Catholic Women. Her pride and joy were her grandsons.

Surviving are a daughter, Kathleen Haverland, of La Crosse; two sons, Kevin (Judy) Haverland, of Cuba City, and Keith (Rebecca) Haverland, of Arthur; two sisters, Dolores Wright, of Dubuque, and Mary Koen, of Superior; three brothers, Albert "Bud" (Rita) Mohr, of Dubuque, Lester Mohr, of Apple River, Ill., and Larry (Nancy) Mohr, DeWitt, Iowa; and three grandchildren, Nick, Matt and Logan.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred "Alfie," on Feb. 10, 2002; two sisters, Edna and Betty; and a brother, Wesley.

Donald R. Nauman

SHERRILL, Iowa - Donald R. Nauman, 72, of 5191 Sherrill Road, Sherrill, died at 10:40 a.m. Monday, Oct. 14, 2002, at The Finley Hospital.

Chapel services will be at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main St., Dubuque, where friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Arrangements are pending.

Miriam H. Runde

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. - Miriam H. Runde, 75, of Platteville, died Monday, Oct. 14, 2002, at Southwest Health Center Hospital, Platteville.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, with burial in Calvary Cemetery , both in Platteville.

Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Bendorf Funeral Home, Platteville, where arrangements are pending.

Julia P. Foltz

MAQUOKETA, Iowa - Julia P. Foltz, 80, of Iowa City, formerly of Maquoketa, died Saturday, Oct. 12, 2002, at Iowa City Rehabilitation and Care Center, after a brief illness.

Private family graveside services and burial were held Oct. 14, in the Andrew (Iowa) Cemetery . There was no public visitation.

The Carson & Son Funeral and Cremation Services, Maquoketa, is in charge of arrangements.

Mae E. Wieters

GALENA, Ill. - Mae E. Wieters, 96, of Galena, died Saturday, Oct. 12, 2002, at Southwest Health Center Nursing Home, Cuba City, Wis.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Furlong Funeral Chapel, Galena, where friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.

She was born on Nov. 16, 1905, in Sioux City, Iowa, daughter of Orville and Elona (Van Natta) Harvey. She married Albert Wieters in 1922, in Sioux City, Iowa; he died in 1978.

She spent her early life in the Platteville, Wis., area before moving to Galena. She was a homemaker and loved caring for her plants and flowers.

Surviving are a son, Floyd (Irene) Wieters, of Galena, a daughter, Carol (Peter) Keller, of Sebring, Fla.; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She also was preceded in death by her parents; and a daughter, Nancy Hamilton.

The family would like to extend a sincere thank-you to the Southwest Health Center Nursing Home staff for their love and care of Mae.

Danielle N. Skatrud

LODI, Wis. - Danielle N. Skatrud, 16, of Lodi, died Saturday, Oct. 12, 2002, as the result of injuries sustained in a traffic accident.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Lodi, with the Rev. Mitchell Falk, of Lodi, and the Rev. Terry Bemis, of the Dubuque Assembly of God, officiating. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Hamre Funeral Home, Lodi.

She was born on Dec. 12, 1985, in Monroe, Wis., daughter of Dan and Mary Ellen (Lenstra) Skatrud.

She was a student at Lodi High School and enjoyed sports.

Surviving are her parents, Jeff and Mary Ellen (Lenstra) Falk, of Lodi, and Dan and Ann Skatrud, of Monroe; a brother, Mitchell Falk, at home; grandparents, Gloria (Mitchell) Lenstra, of Dubuque, and Glen and Lois Skatrud, of Merlin; uncles and aunts, Brian and Paula (Lenstra) Kuhlmann, of Rothschild, Dan and Lisa Lenstra-Norman, Terry (Julie) Lenstra, and Tim Lenstra, all of Dubuque; and other uncles, aunts and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Marvin Lenstra.

Jack H. Stuart

HANOVER, Ill. - Jack H. Stuart, 88, of Hanover, died Sunday, Oct. 13, 2002, at Galena-Stauss Hospital.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Law-Jones Funeral Home, Hanover, where friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today.

Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery , Hanover.

Raymond L. Dunne

EAST DUBUQUE, Ill. - Raymond L. Dunne, 63, of 99 Buckskin Lane, East Dubuque, died at 3:45 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2002, at home, following a lengthy battle with cancer.

Arrangements are pending at Miller Funeral Home, 1185 Route 35 North, East Dubuque.

Keith Michael Parker Newberry

PATCH GROVE, Wis. - Keith Michael Parker Newberry, infant son of Tina Parker (Salmon), of Dodgeville, formerly of Patch Grove; and Michael Newberry, of Dodgeville, died Sunday, Oct. 13, 2002, at St. Mary's Hospital Medical Center, Madison.

Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Union Nagle Cemetery , Patch Grove Township. The Martin Page Funeral Home, Bloomington, is in charge of arrangements.

Among survivors are his maternal grandparents, Rick and Carol Parker, of Prairie du Chien; and his maternal great-grandparents, Ralph Reuter, of Bloomington, and Arden Parker, of Prairie du Chien.
