FENNIMORE, Wis. - Lloyd R. "Sonny" Wagner Jr., 85, of Fennimore, formerly of Livingston, died Monday afternoon, Sept. 30, 2002, at the Fennimore Good Samaritan Center.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Soman-Larson Funeral Home, Montfort, with burial in Rock Church Cemetery , Clifton Township, Grant County.
Friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

ACKLEY, Iowa - Arlene M. Homan, 78, of Ackley, passed away Monday, Sept. 30, 2002, at Ellsworth Municipal Hospital, Iowa Falls.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Ackley, with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 2:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Sietsema Funeral Home, Ackley.
She was born on Sept. 28, 1924, in rural Ackley, daughter of Arend and Engelena Bonk. She married Donald Homan on Jan. 23, 1945.
Surviving are a daughter, Joan (Pat) Gallagher, of Salem, Ore.; a son, Craig (Char) Homan, of Kieler, Wis.; and four granddaughters, Catherine and Erin Gallagher and Lynne and Ann Homan.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald, on Dec. 1, 1987; her parents; and a sister, Elnora Windecker.

Dorothy G. Snodell, 79, of Bethany Home, formerly of St. Louis, died at 10:45 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2002, at The Finley Hospital.

PLACID, Iowa - Mary Kay Odefey, 84, of Corpus Christi, Texas, formerly of Placid, rural Epworth, Iowa, died Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2002, in Corpus Christi.
Services were held Sept. 25 at Seaside Memorial Park and Funeral Home, Corpus Christi. There was no visitation.
Kay was born in Placid, daughter of Joseph and Alice (Sweeney) McDermott. She married Ardale Odefey, of Dubuque.
Surviving are a daughter, Darlene Thiltgen, of Corpus Christi; a sister, Lilian Callahan, of Dubuque; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Dale "Bud"; four brothers; and a grandchild.

Bernard Miller
Bernard "Bernie" Miller, 76, of ManorCare Health Services, formerly of 3205 St. Anne, died Sunday, Sept. 29, 2002, at ManorCare.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery , Livermore, Iowa, with military rites accorded by the Livermore American Legion Post. He was born on Feb. 1, 1926, in Williams, son of Edward and Mary (Staeler) Miller. He married Deloris Hinz on Jan. 8, 1956, in Des Moines.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the Army.
He graduated from Williams High School. He was associated with the Williams Bank, Williams, for several years. From 1956 to 1968, he lived in Fort Dodge, where he traveled with the Federal Deposit of Insurance Corp. throughout the state of Iowa.
From 1968 to 1977, he was associated with the Drover's Bank of Chicago as vice-president of correspondent banking. From 1977 to 1985, he served at vice-president of correspondent banking for American Trust and Saving Bank, Dubuque. From 1985 until his retirement in 1998, he served as vice-president of correspondent banking at Dubuque Bank and Trust, Dubuque.
He was a former member of the Independent Banking Association of Iowa, where in 1998, he received recognition for 50 years of banking service in Iowa. He was a member of the American Legion Post 6 of Dubuque, the Benevolent Protective Order of Elks Lodge 294 of Dubuque, the Iowa Hawkeye club since 1956 and a former member of the West Side Kiwanis Club.
Surviving are his wife, Deloris (Hinz) Miller; a daughter, Shelley Molidor, of Marion; two sons, Bruce Miller, of Blair, Neb., and Scott (Renee) Miller, of Cedar Rapids; seven grandchildren, Jeff, Natalie, Laura, Melanie, Jennifer, and Andrew Miller and Max Molidor; a daughter-in-law, Paulatte Miller, of Scottsdale, Ariz.; and a brother, Richard (Doris) Miller, of Iowa Falls.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Mark Miller, in 1997; two sisters, Pat Claude and Dee Logue; and two brothers, John and Gerald Miller.

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. - Guy S. Rawson, 92, of Platteville, died on Sunday, Sept. 29, 2002, at Southwest Health Center Hospital, Platteville.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Westview Methodist Church, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery , both in Platteville. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Bendorf Funeral Home, Platteville.
He was born on Feb. 16, 1910, in Smelser Township, son of Lupton and Stella (Shilliam) Rawson. He married Eleanor Bratton on June 3, 1936, at Primitive Methodist Church, Platteville.
He farmed his entire life in Smelser Township, until moving to Platteville on Sept. 12, 2001.
Surviving are his wife of 66 years, Eleanor; two children, Arnold (JoAnn) Rawson, of Platteville, and Elaine (Jerry) Sherwin, of Cuba City; five grandchildren, JoDean (Jeff) Wendorf, of Viola, Jeanice (David) Stephens, of Aurora, Ill., Bradley (Tracey) Sherwin, of Algona, Iowa, Burdette (Jody) Rawson, of Platteville, and Kimberly (Mark) Gehrke, of Schaumburg, Ill.; seven great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Charlton (Elaine) Bratton, of Mineral Point; and a sister-in-law, Phyllis Bratton, of Platteville.
Carl W. Kieffer
BELLEVUE, Iowa - Carl W. Kieffer, 69, of 600 Park St., Bellevue, died Sunday morning, Sept. 29, 2002, at Mercy Medical Center-Dubuque.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Bellevue. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery , where military rites will be accorded by the American Legion Reveille Post 273 of Bellevue. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Kingery Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bellevue.
He was born on Jan. 18, 1933, in Bellevue, son of Harvey and Amelia (Norpel) Kieffer. He graduated from St. Joseph's High School, Bellevue, in 1950. He married Leona Cleary on April 27, 1957, in Petersville.
He was an Army veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict. He was a plumber and contractor at Kieffer Plumbing and Heating Co., Bellevue. He was very active in his retirement and enjoyed rebuilding cars and trucks.
He was a member of the American Legion Reveille Post 273 of Bellevue and the Bellevue Knights of Columbus Council 1354. He served on the Board of Directors for Mill Valley Care Center and had been a volunteer with the Bellevue Fire Department for 30 years, serving as fire chief for 10 years. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Surviving are his wife, Leona; four sons, Dennis, John (Suzanne), Joe and friend Shelly, of Bellevue, and Tom, of Indianapolis; two daughters, Mary (Loras) Sieverding, of La Motte, and Kathy (Tom) Davis, of Bellevue; 10 grandchildren; two sisters, Lois Roeder, of St. Louis, and Rita Herting, of Dubuque; two brothers, Robert Kieffer, of Bellevue, and Larry Kieffer SVD, of Papua, New Guinea.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Donald Kieffer; and a sister, Norma Gibbs.
Paul F. Loeffelholz
REWEY, Wis. - Paul F. Loeffelholz, 78, of Rewey, died Saturday, Sept. 28, 2002, at Southwest Health Center Hospital, Platteville.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Philomena Catholic Church, Belmont, with the Rev. Monte Robinson officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery . Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Bendorf Funeral Home, Platteville, where there will be a parish wake service at 4 p.m. Friends also may call after 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
He was born on July 14, 1924, on the family farm in Dickeyville, son of Charles and Amelia (Salzman) Loeffelholz.
As a young boy, he was a Mass server for 18 years, which he did until a week before his marriage. On Oct. 1, 1949, he married Alice Scheckel at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Dubuque.
He farmed on the family farm in Dickeyville, retiring in 1971. After his retirement, he and Alice moved to Rewey, where he drove trucks. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and doing woodwork. He was a member of St. Philomena Catholic Church, Belmont; and while he farmed, he was a member of the National Farmers Organization.
He loved spending time with his dog, Spot, and also going to "Green Acres," his son Dan's farm, where he enjoyed helping with farm work. Most important, he had a great love for his children and grandchildren.
Surviving are his wife, Alice Loeffelholz, of Rewey; seven children, David (Joan) Loeffelholz, of Waunakee, Eileen (Roger) Udelhofen, of Kieler, Louella "Lou" Loeffelholz, of Rewey, Juliana Bishop, of Menasha, Alan (Donna) Loeffelholz, of Wild Rose, and Daniel Loeffelholz and Jean (Kevin) Wehrspann, both of Platteville; 10 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; and a brother, Linus Loeffelholz, of Brooklyn.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Mary Kieler and Margaret Richter; and a brother, Sylvester Loeffelholz.

Gregory Bussan
GALENA, Ill. - Gregory Bussan, 81, of 4621 NW Miner Road, Galena, died at 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 29, 2002, at home, from cancer.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Galena. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery , Galena, with military rites accorded by the Galena Veterans of Foreign Wars Legion Post. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Furlong Funeral Chapel, Galena, where there will be a scripture wake service at 7:30 p.m. The Forth Degree Knights of Columbus also will hold a service.
He was born on Aug. 5, 1921, in Galena, son of Clement and Anna (Kieffer) Bussan. He graduated from Galena High School in 1939. He married Margaret Dempsey on Feb. 4, 1947, at St. Mary's Church, Galena.
He served in the Army from Oct. 23, 1939 to Sept. 28, 1945. He farmed all his life in the Galena area. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, the Galena Forth Degree Knights of Columbus, the Eagles Club, the Veterans of Foreign Wars club, and St. Mary's Holy Name Society.
He was a devoted husband and a kind and loving father and grandfather. He dearly loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The love of his life was his farming and being with his family. He loved a good game of cards, especially euchre.
Surviving are his wife, Margaret; three daughters, Rita (John) Curtis, Rose (Glenn) Casper and Jean (Larry) Wienen, all of Galena; three sons, Edward (Jan) Bussan, of Gratiot, Wis., Dorrance (Janet) Bussan and Steven (Linda) Bussan, both of Galena; 20 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three brothers, Joseph, Louis and Phillip (Ann), all of Galena; five sisters, Eleanor Froschauer and Marion Barzycki, both of Chicago, Mercedas Lynch, of Dubuque, Ruth Brashaw, of Stockton, and Ann (Jim) Schreck, of Platteville, Wis.; two sisters-in-law, Ann Bussan and Mary Ellen Bussan, both of Galena.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Cyril, Nicholas and Clement; a sister, Pauline Dillon; a brother, Herbert, in infancy; and a sister, Rosamond, in infancy.
