BOSCOBEL, Wis. - James W. Seeley, 69, of Boscobel, died on Sunday, Sept. 29, 2002, at Boscobel Area Health Care.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at United Methodist Church, Boscobel. Burial will be in Boscobel Cemetery.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the church. Kendall Funeral Service, Boscobel, is in charge of arrangements.

Patricia A. Zinkle

BOSCOBEL, Wis. - Patricia A. Zinkle, 67, of Steuben, died on Sunday, Sept. 29, 2002, at Boscobel Area Health Care.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Boscobel. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Church Cemetery , Seneca.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Kendall Funeral Home, Boscobel.

Frank J. Stevens

PRAIRIE DU CHIEN, Wis. - Frank J. Stevens, 83, of Prairie du Chien, died Saturday, Sept. 28, 2002, at home.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. John's Catholic Church, with burial in Calvary Cemetery , both in Prairie du Chien.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Garrity Funeral Home, Prairie du Chien.

Helen N. Timmerman

CUBA CITY, Wis. - Helen Norene Timmerman, 93, of Southwest Health Center Nursing Home, Cuba City, formerly of 1770 HyView Road, Cuba City, East Dubuque, Ill., and Windsor Park, Dubuque, died at 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 29, 2002, at the nursing home.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Sinsinawa, with the Rev. Bart Timmerman and the Rev. Dave Timmerman officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery . Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. today at Miller Funeral Home, East Dubuque, Ill., where there will be a parish rosary service at 2 p.m.

She was born on Nov. 7, 1908, in Jamestown Township, Grant County, daughter of James and Bridget (Ryan) Cullen. She married Joseph E. Timmerman on July 4, 1934, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, East Dubuque, Ill., with the Rev. LaVerne Timmerman officiating.

She graduated from St. Joseph's Academy, Dubuque, and later from Bayliss Business College in 1928. She dedicated her life to God and her family as a homemaker on the farm. She was quick with a laugh and a smile. She enjoyed visits from her grandchildren, playing cards and praying the rosary. She was a member of St. Joseph's parish, Sinsinawa, and a member of the Christian Mother's Sodality.

Surviving are six children, Robert (Ann) Timmerman, of Dickeyville, Eunice (Larry) Zenz, of Parks, Ark., James (Alice) Timmerman, of Eldridge, Iowa, Richard (Judy) Timmerman, of Cuba City, Ellen (Herb) Westemeier, of Galena, Ill., and Daniel (Karen) Timmerman, of Kieler; 29 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph, in 1978; a grandson, Gary Timmerman, in 1984; a daughter-in-law, Doris (Hinderman) Timmerman, in 1972; her parents; three sisters; and three brothers.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Joseph's Endowment Fund, Sinsinawa.

The family would like to thank the nursing staff at Southwest Health Center Nursing Home for their care and to the priests, especially Fr. Bart Timmerman, a grandson who visited and prayed with her.

Mary K. Odefey

PLACID, Iowa - Mary K. Odefey, 84, of Corpus Christi, Texas, formerly of Placid, died on Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2002, in Corpus Christi.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Seaside Memorial Park and Funeral Home, Corpus Christi.

There will be no visitation.

Olivia Marie Pisch

BALDWIN, Iowa - Olivia Marie Pisch, daughter of Brian and Kathryn (Reuter) Pisch, was stillborn on Thursday, Sept. 26, 2002, at Mercy Hospital, Cedar Rapids.

Private graveside services and burial were held on Monday, Sept. 30, 2002, in Lost Nation (Iowa) Cemetery.

There was no visitation. The Carson & Son Funeral and Cremation Services, Maquoketa, was in charge of arrangements.

Earl E. Stendel

CASTALIA, Iowa - Earl E. Stendel, 63, of Castalia, died Saturday evening, Sept. 28, 2002, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, following a brief illness.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Zion Lutheran Church, Castalia. Burial will be in Greenfield-Centennial Cemetery , rural Ossian.

Friends may call from 3 to 8:30 p.m. today, Schutte Funeral Home, Postville.

Elgie E. Eastman

LANCASTER, Wis. - Elgie E. Eastman, 93, of Lancaster, died Sunday, Sept. 29, 2002, at Walnut Acres Adult Family Home, Potosi.

Graveside services and burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Hillside Cemetery , Lancaster, with the Rev. Tom Callahan officiating. The Martin Page Funeral Home, Lancaster, is in charge of arrangements.

He was born on Nov. 20, 1908, in rural Lancaster, son of Otto and Ocea (Bass) Eastman.

He attended the Badger Grade School in Little Grant Township and Lancaster's South High School. Then, he enrolled in electrical correspondence at L. L. Cook Electric School, Chicago, which was under the supervision of the late Thomas Edison. On Jan. 15, 1930, he received his license in applied electricity. He also received a diploma from the American Extension School of Law, Chicago.

He farmed with his parents in Little Grant Township and did electrical work for many people.

Surviving are a brother-in-law, Daniel J. Harris, of Prairie du Chien; a niece, Marcia (Earl) Wilkins, of Virginia, Minn.; three great-nephews; and a great-niece.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Lela Harris; and a nephew, Ross D. Harris.

Allen Bruehahn

Allen "Sonny" Bruehahn, 63, of 10378 Boleyn Road, Dubuque, died Saturday, Sept. 28, 2002, at The Finley Hospital, Dubuque.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Egelhof, Siegert & Casper Westview Funeral Home, 2659 Kennedy Road, Dubuque. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery , Shullsburg, Wis., with military rites accorded by the American Legion Post 105 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10533, both of Shullsburg, Wis. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

He was born on June 30, 1939, in Monona, Iowa, son of Paul L. and Virginia (Kloke) Bruehahn. He married Edith L. Moore on Nov. 11, 1961, at Centenary United Methodist Church, Shullsburg, Wis. They shared 40 years together.

He was employed at John Deere Dubuque Works as a supervisor, before retiring in 1992. Allan served our country in the Navy from 1957 to 1960. He was known as "Papa" to his grandchildren and enjoyed woodworking. He will be dearly missed.

Surviving are his wife, Edith, of Dubuque; daughters, Beth (Chris) Munson and their children, Ben and Sam, of Loveland, Colo., and Lisa (Charlie) Propernick and their children, Cortney, Emma, Erika and Jake, of Highlands Ranch, Colo.; and a sister, Carol (Dean) Gress, of McGregor.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Janice Stokes.

An Allen "Sonny" Bruehahn Memorial Fund has been established.

Tina J. Soride

POSTVILLE, Iowa - Tina Jo Soride, 24, of rural Postville, died Friday morning, Sept. 27, 2002, at Mercy Medical Center-Dubuque, following a lengthy illness.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Community Presbyterian Church, Postville. Burial will be in the Postville Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Schutte Funeral Home, Postville.

Shirley Anne Molitor

GALENA, Ill. - Shirley Anne Molitor, 54, of Galena, passed away peacefully Monday morning, Sept. 9, 2002, at home.

Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Furlong Funeral Chapel, Galena.

She was born on Dec. 22, 1947, in Hillsdale, Mich., the only child of Harold L. and Betty J. (Dagon) Baker.

She was devoted to her family and friends. Animals were a large part of her life. She took great pleasure and pride in caring for her horses. She was a friend to all who crossed her path.

Surviving are her husband of 22 years, Bob; two children, Chris (Kirsten) Lambert, of Chicago, and Amy (Mark) Conklin, of Rockford; five stepchildren, Bob (Marge) Molitor, of Vancouver, Wash., Dionne (Jeff) Otto, of Normal, Jennifer (Jeff) Tracy, of Indianapolis, Dan Molitor, of Chicago, and Nancy Molitor, of Chicago. She also was the proud grandmother of 10 grandchildren.

Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society.

Thomas J. Gurklis

STOCKTON, Ill. - Thomas J. Gurklis, 53, of rural Stockton, died early Saturday morning, Sept. 6, 2003, at home, of a malignant brain tumor.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Hermann Funeral Home, Stockton, where friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.

Burial will be in Morseville Cemetery , Stockton.

Charles J. Eastman

HANOVER, Ill. - Charles J. "Chuck" Eastman, 85, of Hanover, died Saturday, Sept. 6, 2003, at the Elizabeth (Ill.) Nursing Home.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Hanover United Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery , Hanover.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Law-Jones Funeral Home, Hanover.

Evelyn S. Gerardy

BELLEVUE, Iowa - Evelyn S. Gerardy, 89, of Bellevue, died Friday morning, Sept. 5, 2003, at Mercy Medical Center- Dubuque.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Bellevue, with the Rev. Stephen Meyer officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday at Kingery Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bellevue.

She was born on May 4, 1914, in Guttenberg, daughter of Mathias and Anna (Portz) Junk.

She married John Gerardy on Aug. 18, 1931, in Springbrook; he preceded her in death on Jan. 13, 1974. They farmed four miles east of Springbrook, until moving to Bellevue in 1965.

She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and its Rosary Society. She also was a member of the Bellevue Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary and the Bellevue Senior Citizens.

Surviving are three sons, Roger (Lois) Gerardy, of Dubuque, Gene (Joan) Gerardy, of Bellevue, and John (Rosina) Gerardy, of Eldridge; three daughters, Lorraine (Lloyd) Ruff, of Bellevue, Betty (Joseph) Michels, of Dubuque, and Janis Jackson, of Bettendorf; 45 grandchildren, 73 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Audrey Heim, of Maquoketa, and La Verne Watters and Algean Steines, both of Bellevue; and a brother, Dwain (Marcella) Junk, of Bellevue.

She also was preceded in death by a son, David; a daughter, Shirley Fuegen; a granddaughter, Mary Ann; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ardo and Marvin Junk; and three sisters, Julitta Reistroffer, Marie Kilburg and Vivian Manders.
