Funeral Services were held 11 a.m., Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at St. John’s United Church of Christ in rural Newell. Burial was Tuesday, May 6, 2008 in Immanuel E&R Cemetery in rural Schaller under the direction of the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake.

Marilyn Warriner, 72, of Schaller, passed away Monday, May 5, 2008 at Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City.
Services for Mrs. Warriner wer held on Thursday, May 8, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. at Schaller Methodist Church. Rev. Terry Pollard officiated. Burial followed in Schaller Cemetery, under the direction of Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Schaller.
Howard Bayse
Howard Bayse, age 89, of Springfield, Mo., formerly of Bolivar, Mo., passed away at 7 p.m. on Sunday, May 4, 2008 at Cox South Medical Center in Springfield, Mo., after a long illness.
He was born
Sept. 13, 1918 in Newton to Luther and Arminta (McKenzie) Bayse.
Norma Miller
Norma J. Miller, age 76 of Alta, passed away Friday, May 2, 2008 at Horn Memorial Hospital of Ida Grove.
A memorial service was held on Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at 10:30 A.M. at Alta United Methodist Church with Pastor Terry Pollard officiating. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery. The Nicklas D. Jensen Funeral Home of Alta was in charge of the arrangements.
Carter Brock
Carter W. Brock, age 91, of Sioux Rapids, died on Friday, April 25, 2008, at Buena Vista Regional Medical Center at Storm Lake.
Services for Mr. Brock were held Monday, April 28, 2008 at Sliefert Funeral Home in Sioux Rapids at 1 p.m. Rev. Leela Prince officiated and burial followed in Lone Tree Cemetery in Sioux Rapids. Sliefert Funeral Home in Storm Lake was in charge of the arrangements.

Tina L. Young, age 52, of Galva, died on Sunday, June 1, 2008, at Buena Vista Regional Medical Center at Storm Lake.
Tina Louise Willeford, the daughter of R.W. and Shirley (Ensley) Willeford, was born
at Sioux Rapids on Feb. 10, 1956. Tina lived her youth and received her education in the Sioux Rapids and Storm Lake communities.
Lois Mack
Lois Mack, age 90, of Wall Lake, and formerly of Storm Lake, died Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at Twilight Acres in Wall Lake.
Funeral services for Mrs. Mack will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2008 at Lakeside Presbyterian Church in Storm Lake with Reverend David Koehler officiating. Burial will be in Storm Lake Cemetery. Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements. No visitation will be held.
Hailey Foell
Hailey Deborah Foell, infant daughter of Nick and Kim Foell of Storm Lake, was born
Thursday, May 29, 2008 at Methodist Hospital in Omaha, Neb. She died the same day.
Private family services for Hailey were held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Storm Lake. Rev. Bruce Lawler celebrated the Mass of the Angels. Burial is in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Herman Engebretson
Herman Engebretson, age 97, of Linn Grove, died Sunday, Sept. 14, 2008 at St. Luke’s Lutheran Home in Spencer.
Services for Mr. Engebretson will be held Wedneseday, Sept. 17, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Linn Grove. Burial will follow at Barnes Township Cemetery in Linn Grove.

Glenice Robinson
Glenice Robinson, age 81, of Tucson, Ariz., and formerly of Storm Lake, died Aug. 31, 2008 in Tucson.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Sept. 20 at 10:30 a.m. at Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Schaller. Burial will be in Schaller Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Schaller is in charge of the arrangements.
Ira ‘Bud’ Haag
Ira “Bud” Haag, age 92, of Newell, died Sunday, Sept. 14, 2008, at Newell Good Samaritan Center.
Services for Mr. Haag will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 20, 2008, at Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Newell. Burial will be in Varina Cemetery in Varina.
A time of visitation will be held Saturday at the funeral home beginning at 1 p.m. and continuing for one hour prior to the start of services. Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Newell is in charge of the arrangements.

Gail F. Toomer, age 88, of Storm Lake, died Monday, Sept. 15, 2008 at Buena Vista Regional Medical Center.
Services for Mrs. Toomer will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 18, 2008 at United Methodist Church, Storm Lake. Burial will be in Newell Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 17, at Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake, with the family will be present from 5-7 p.m.

Irene D. Larson, age 101, of Albert City, died Sunday, Dec. 21, 2008 at the Pleasant View Home in Albert City.
Funeral Services will be held on Dec. 29 at 1:30 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in rural Albert City. Interment will be in the St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery. Sliefert Funeral Home of Albert City is in charge of the arrangements.

Ernest “Ernie” Porath, age 83, of Newell, died Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2008 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.
Funeral services for Mr. Porath were held Dec. 20 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Newell. Burial was in the Newell Cemetery with full military rites by American Legion Post 193. Fratzke and Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake was in charge of arrangements.

Catherine Francis Brown, age 85, passed away Sunday, Dec. 14, 2008 at Avera Holy Family Hospital in Estherville.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Dec. 17 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Graettinger. Burial was in St. Jacob’s Cemetery. Joyce-Alesch Funeral Home of Graettinger handled the arrangements.
