Karla Katherine Hammervold

Miss Karla Katherine Hammervold, 75, of Mason City,
Iowa, formerly of Fertile, Iowa, died Wednesday, Nov. 9, 1994,
at the Good Shepherd Care Center, Mason City.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 12, at the
Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, Clear Lake, with Major Jack Lindsey
of The Salvation Army Church, Mason City, officiating. Interment
was in the Grant Center Township Cemetery, rural Fertile, Iowa.

The family suggests memorials in her name.

Karla was born Dec. 24, 1918, in Haugesund, Norway,
the daughter of Edward Hammervold and Sophie (nee) Knutson
Hammervold. In the year of 1919 they left for the United States.
She lived with her parents in Joice, Iowa, then moved to Lanyon, Iowa.
From there, the family moved to Fertile, Iowa, where they lived for
40 years. She graduated from Fertile High School in 1937. In
1955 she began working at the Ritters Lake Rest Home and worked
there until 1979.

In 1975 she and her mother moved to the Manor in Mason
City. She lived there until 1984, when she moed to Shalom Towers.
In 1992 she moved to Good Shepherd Care Center, Mason City.

She loved to do scrap books for nursing homes and raising
flowers. She attended the Salvation Army Church in Mason City
and was a member of Salvation Army Ladies League.

Karla is survived by her sister-in-law, Marlett Hammervold,
Mason City; one nephew, Michael Hammervold and his wife, Molly,
Mason City; one great-nephew, and one great niece, Travis and
Trisha Hammervold, both of Mason City.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers,
William, John and John Hammervold; and one sister, Edith Schroeder.

Organist Carol Miller accompanied soloist Catherine
Lindsey.

Harley Joy Bonner

Harley Joy Bonner, infant daughter of Chad Bonner and
Moira Mitchell, Clear Lake, died Wednesday, Nov. 9, 1994, at
the North Iowa Mercy Health Center....(Wednesday), Nov. 16, at the
Wells United Methodist Church, Wells, Minn. The Rev. Kenneth
Haack will officiate. Burial will be at the Rice Lake Cemetery,
rural Wells, Minn.

Funeral services were held Friday, Nov. 11, at the Ward-Van
Slyke Colonial Chapel, Clear Lake, with the Rev. David Gobeli
of the United Methodist Church, Ventura, Iowa, officiated. Interment
was in the Ventura Cemetery, Ventura.

Harley was born Wednesday, Nov. 9, 1994, at the North
Iowa Mercy Health Center East Campus, Mason City, Iowa, the daughter
of Chad Bonner and Moira Mitchell.

She is survived by her parents, Clear Lake; maternal
grandparents David and Olivia Mitchell, Britt, Iowa, and
Dale and Melany Simonson, Parker, S.D.; maternal great-grandparents
Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Mitchell, Estherville, Iowa, and Mr. and
Mrs. Simonson, S.D.; paternal grandparents Robert and Deanna Bonner,
Clear Lake; paternal great-grandmother Amanda (Flo) Bonner,
Clear Lake; several aunts and uncles.

Edward John Courrier

Edward John Courrier, 49, of Clear Lake ... died Sunday, Nov.
13, 1994, at North Iowa Mercy Health Center East campus, Mason
City, Iowa.

Funeral services will be held....

He graduated from Wells High School in 1963. On Sept. 4, 1964
he married Shirley Newville in Winnebago, Minn.

For the past 30 years he was involved in the wholesale
vending business in southern Minnesota and northern Iowa.

Edward enjoyed the out of doors, especially pheasant,
deer and elk hunting.

He was past president of the Iowa Automatic Merchandiser
Association and a member of the National Riflemans Association.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley, Clear Lake; a son,
Dirk Courrier, Rochester, Minn.

Funeral services will be held today ... Heitner Funeral
Home, Wells, Minn., will be in charge of arrangements.

The family suggests memorials be made to the American
Heart Association.

Edward John Courrier was born March 1, 1945 in Albert
Lea, Minn., the son of Harold Courrier and Alice (nee) Beyer Courrier.

... a daughter, Cathi Courrier, Clear Lake; his mother,
Alice Hagemann, Wells, Minn.; two sisters,
Grace Niebuhr and her husband, Ben, Wells, and Donna Tveit and
her husband, Orv, Mossy Rock, Wash.; and one grandson,
Aaron Courrier, Minneapolis, Minn.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Organist Rosamond Miller accompanied soloist Jody Henning.

Honorary pallbearers were Jeff Beyer, Mike Beyer,
Tim Beyer, Brad Kraywinkel, Mark Kraywinkel, Brad Niebuhr.

Pallbearers were Dave Parks, Jerry Young, Mark Doebel,
Darrel Belville, Ron Blomstrom, Denny Enser, Dave Hermel.

Al Budolfson

Mr. Al Budolfson, 74, Clear Lake, died Sunday, Nov.
13, 1994, at theenter East Campus, Mason City, Iowa.

Memorial services will be held today (Wednesday), Nov.
16, at 1 North Iowa Mercy Health Center East Campus, Mason City,
Iowa.

Memorial services will be held today (Wednesday), Nov.
16, at 11 a.m. at the United Methodist Church, Clear Lake,
with the Rev. Fred Lewis officiating. Inurnment will be in
the Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City.

The family suggest memorials in his name.

Al was born Aug. 1, 1920, in Rolfe, Iowa, the son of
Budolf Christian and Martha Idella (nee) Twigg Budolfson. He
graduated from Rolfe High School in 1938. He graduated from Iowa State
University, Ames, Iowa, with a degree in Dairy Industry. While
attending the university, Al was co-captain of the 1941 basketball
team which won the Big 6 Basketball Conference.

Al was awarded the Iowa High School Basketball Hall
of Fame Award in 1970 and the Iowa State University Cyclone Legends
Award in 1993.

He served in the Marine Corps during World War II in
the South Pacific.

Al married his grade school sweetheart Mary Ives on
Nov. 22, 1945, in Rolfe, Iowa. They lived in Clear Lake their
entire married life. He worked as Quality Control Manager for
State Brand Creamery (later called AMPI) in Mason City. He retired
in 1982. He was a member of United Methodist Church, Clear Lake and
Clear Lake V.F.W.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Budolfson, Clear Lake;
three children, Linda Emerson and her husband, Ray, Mason City,
Bob Budolfson and his wife, Patti, Bull Shoals, Ark., and
Martha Hornaday and her husband, Bill, Phoenix, Ariz.; two brothers,
Ed Budolfson, Eau Claire, Wis., and Chris Budolfson and his wife,
Dorothy, Ames, Iowa; two sisters, Marie Budolfson, Ames, Iowa,
and Doris Sharp, Vincent, Iowa; eleven grandchildren, Erin Emerson,
Kara Emerson, Ryan Emerson, Brad Budolfson, Brett Budolfson,
Brent Budolfson, Matthew Leclercq, Manny Leclercq,
Christian Leclercq, Bill Hornaday and Curtis Hornaday.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one daughter-in-law,
Bonnie Budolfson.

Bennie E. Tull

Bennie E. Tull, 53, of Clear Lake, died Monday, November
14, 1994, at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mason City,
Iowa.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Nov. 17, at the
Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, Clear Lake, with the Rev. Dean
Hess of Zion Lutheran Church officiating. He was cremated after
the services.

Bennie Tull was born Nov. 29, 1940, in Humboldt, Iowa,
the son of Lloyd Lessie Tull and Flossie Revena (nee) Fish Tull.
He attended school in Mason City, Iowa.

He served in the United States Navy. After the service
he moved back to Mason City where he worked with his father in
the concrete business. He did various construction jobs in the
Mason City area. In 1988 he started working for the Surf Ballroom
in the maintenance department.

Bennie loved to play pool and cards, and he was everybodys'
friend.

He is survived by his mother Flossie Tull, Mason City;
a son Bobby Joe Loftis and his wife, Kim, Mason City; special
friends, Phyllis Hughes and David Hughes, both of Clear Lake;
three brothers Lloyd W. Tull and his wife, Joyce, Virginia Beach,
Virg., Robert Tull and his wife, Joyce, Swan, Iowa, and
Larry Tull and his wife, Becky, Sheffield, Iowa; one sister
Beverly Platts and her husband, Glen, Mason City.

He was preceded in death by his father; an infant son,
Troy Dean Tull; and one sister Helen Askeland.
