Norma Jene Garrison

Mrs. Norma Jene Garrison, 71, of Clear Lake, died Thursday,
June 8, 1995, at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit,
Mason City, Iowa.

Funeral services were held Monday, June 11, at
Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Mason City, with the
Rev. Frederick J. Wood officiating. Interment was in the
Clear Lake Cemetery, Clear Lake. The family suggests memorials
to the Jene Garrison Memorial Fund.

Jene was born Jan. 18, 1924, in Beatrice, Neb., the daughter
of Albert Laurence Chamberlain and Flossie Elizabeth (nee) Coyle.
She graduated from Beatrice High School.

On Sept. 6, 1945, she married D.V. "Duffy" Garrison in Pasadena,
Calif. They moved to Clear Lake, in November of 1945. Jene worked
for Ray Pauley in Mason City for 12 years as a secretary.
Jene enjoyed bowling, fishing, music, sewing, traveling and
being with people. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church,
Mason City.

She is survived by her husband, D.V. "Duffy" Garrison, Clear Lake;
two sisters, Cordys Rolfe and her husband, Robert E., Kernville,
Calif., and Dorothy Graves and her husband, Jerry, Daurte,
Calif.; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and one infant brother.

Organist Sharon Djuren accompanied soloist Dorothy Kahl.

Pallbearers were James Roseland, Steve Garrison, Tim Garrison,
Dan Djuren, Randy Garrison, Dusty Garrison.

Douglas Reeve Eldridge

Douglas Reeve Eldridge, 45, son of Reeve and Maxine Eldridge,
rural Clear Lake, died in a two vehicle accident at Manning,
S. Car., June 9, 1995. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.

113 W. Mareland, Summerville, S. Car. 29483.

Douglas retired from the Navy in March of 1994, serving 26 and
one-half years. He was employed with a telecommunication
company out of Dallas, Texas...

Agnes Kathryn Larson (nee) Johnson

Agnes K. Larson, 84, Garner, died Wednesday, June 14, 1995, at
the Concord Care Center, Garner.

Funeral services were held Saturday, June 17, at Faith Lutheran
Church, Miller, with the Rev. Owen Gaasedelen officiating. Interment was
in ...

...ton Township School #6. After graduating from Ventura High School in
1927, she worked in Forest City for the families of Mr. and Mrs. Leon
Eyman and Dr. T. J. Irish.

On Oct. 24, 1930, she was united in marriage to Clifford E. Larson
at Fort Dodge. The couple made their home at the Larson home place in
Ellington Township. Agnes worked as a cook for the Concord Care
Center for 20 years. Following her husband's death on April 24, 1989,
she continued to live on the home place until moving to Concord Care
Centllington Prairie Cemetery, rural Garner.

Agnes Kathryn Larson was born Aug. 25, 1910, on a farm in
Ellington Township, the daughter of Peter Johnson and
Julia Johnson (nee) Halverson. She was baptized and confirmed
at the Ellington Lutheran Church and attended Ellinger in February of 1995.

She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, where she was active
in the Church Circle and the Ladies Aid. She was also involved in TOPS
and the Birthday Club.

Agnes loved to cook and spend time with her family. She also
enjoyed embroidering and crocheting.

She is survived by a son, Richard D. Larson and his wife, Deloris,
Garner; a daughter, Marlys Ennis and her husband, Richard, Mason City;
a daughter-in-law, Merry Stroud, Indianola; 16 grandchildren, Pat Goerner
and her husband, John, of Austin, Texas, Betty Jo Gustafson and her
husband, Tim, of Minneapolis, Sally Larson of Forest City, Chuck Larson
of Clear Lake, Bob Larson and his wife, Renee, of Memphis, Tenn., Julie,
Cooper and her husband, Dave, of Mason City, Nancy Lee and her
husband, Bert, of Mason City, Kathy Bracken and her husband, Rob, of
Placerville, Calif., Peggy Pitzenberger and her husband, Rick, of Mason
City, Mary Miller and her husband, Jay, of Mason City, Jodi Ennis and
her fiance, Brent Fisher, of Minneapolis, ...ian Larson of Pittsburgh, Penn.,
and Helen Larson of Frankfurt, Ind.; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son,
LeRoy Larson in 1983; three brothers, Leonard Johnson, Ernest Johnson
and Orville Johnson; and four sisters, Tillie Severson,
Selma Strand, Lorene Oakland and Geneva Anderson. ... John Larson
and his wife, Diane, of Indianola, Mark Larson of Indiana, Brett Larson
and his wife, Charlene, of Cedar Rapids, Kirk Larson and his wife,
Carla, Cedar Rapids, and Doug Larson of I... and his wife, Carla,
Cedar Rapids, and Doug Larson of Indianola; 16 great-grandchildren;
an aunt, Ella Pederson, Clear Lake; a brother-in-law, Otto Anderson,
Ventura; two sisters-in-law, Vive Severson....[??]

Organist Gail Reese accompanied Pastor Orville Anderson, soloist.

Pallbearers were Brett Larson, Charles Larson, Kirk Larson, Robert
Larson, Bert Lee and Rick Pitzenberger. Ushers were Arno Olson and
Merle Hall.

Violet L. Rasmusson (nee) Hoff

Violet L. Rasmusson, 65, of Clear Lake, died Friday, June 23, 1995,
at Oakwood Care Center, Clear Lake.

A memorial service will be held Friday, June 30, at Hogan-Bremer
Colonial Chapel, 126 3rd St. NE, Mason City, with Rev. Dean Hess, of Zion
Lutheran Church, Clear Lake, officiating.

Violet donated her body to the University of Iowa to further medical
science. No visitation will be held. Interment will be in Memorial Park
Cemetery, Mason City, at a later date.

Memorials may be given to the Violet Rasmusson Memorial Fund.

Violet was born Nov. 7, 1929, at Mason City, the daughter of
George Hoff and Mabel (nee) Slattum Hoff. She attended Mason City
schools, and was a graduate of Mason City High School.

Violet was an excellent cook. She worked at the Coffee Cup Cafe,
Black and White Cafe, Schwann's Ice Cream Shop, and for several years
she cooked at the former Buehler's Cafe, all of Mason City. Later she
was a cook at the Country Kitchen in Mason City, retiring in 1982, for
health reasons.

She enjoyed sewing, reading, completing crossword puzzles, and
listening to KGLO radio. Violet was a member of the Moose, Mason City
and PTA at the former Lincoln School, Mason City, having served as its
president.

She is survived by four daughters, Penny Allen and her husband,
James, Des Moines, Wendy Anderson and her husband, Ross, Oxford
Mills, Ontario, Canada, Susan Nickerson and her husband, Allen, Clear
Lake, Kimberly Tapp and her husband, Dave, Mason City; one son,
Mark Rasmusson, Mason City; four grandchildren, Stacy Allen and his wife,
Sheri, Shelly Radcliff and her husband, Brian, Andrew Nickerson, Katy
Nickerson; one great-granddaughter, Samantha Radcliff; two brothers,
Bernard Hoff, Belmond, Merlyn Heimdal, Arizona.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother,
Marion Hoff.

Robert Wayne Olinger

Robert Wayne Olinger, 54, of Mason City, Iowa, died Wednesday,
June 21, 1995, at the North Iowa Mercy Health Center East Campus,
Mason City, Iowa.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 27, at the United
Methodist Church, Clear Lake, with the Rev. Fred Lewis officiating.
Following services he was cremated and inurnment will take place at a
later time in Clear Lake Cemetery. The family suggests memorials to the
Robert W. Olinger memorial fund.

Robert was born Jan. 19, 1941, in Mt. Vernon Township, Rural
Route Clear Lake, the son of Kenneth Olinger and Ruth Blickenderfer
Olinger. Robert attended Mt. Vernon #2 Country School, Swaledale High
School and then graduated from Clear Lake High School in 1960. Robert
attended Oklahoma State Tech. College, Okmulgee, Okla., where he
obtained a degree in drafting. He worked for Wallace Holland Kastler
Schmitz and Co. in Mason City, Iowa, for over 35 years.

On Nov. 14, 1970, he married Judy McMurray in Swaledale, Iowa.
Robert enjoyed riding the tractor, being in the country, fishing, playing
cards, taking his grandson and feeding the ducks. He really ennjoyed
watching his children play in sports.

Robert was a member of the Clear Lake United Methodist Church,
National Hemophilic Foundation Midwest Chapter.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Olinger, Mason City; two children,
Carrie Olinger and Robert Olinger, both of Mason City; a grandson,
Anthony Mathew Johnson, Mason City; his father Kenneth Olinger,
Meservey, Iowa; a step-mother, Janice Olinger, Meservey; two brothers,
Ellery Olinger and his wife, Carolyn, Clear Lake, and William Olinger
and his wife, Sharren, Mason City; several aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his mother in 1989; and grandparents.

Arthur Dorance Bussa

Mr. Arthur Dorance Bussa, 85, of Clear Lake, died Saturday, June
24, 1995, at North Iowa Mercy Health Center East Campus, Mason City,
Iowa.

Funeral services will be held today (Wednesday), June 28, at 1:30
p.m. at the United Methodist Church, Clear Lake, with the Rev. Fred Lewis
officiating. Interment will be in the Clear Lake Cemetery, Clear Lake.

Art was born Oct. 16, 1909 in Calhoun County, Lake City, Iowa, the
son of Fred Bussa and Charlotte (nee) Rushton Bussa.
He attended rural schools in Cerro Gordo County. He worked for
many farmers before coming to Clear Lake.

On Nov. 24, 1943 he married Elsie Miller south of Clear Lake at the
brides home. He worked in Robert Nichols gas station, then at Larry Deyo
station. Later he worked for Ted Sauke Hardware and then the City of
Clear Lake in the street and Cemetery departments for over 12 years
retiring in 1972.

Art was a square dance caller at the Surf on Friday nights for 12
years. He loved to collect little nick nacks and old farm pictures. Art was
a member of Clear Lake United Methodist Church, Clear Lake, I.O.O.F.
Lodge, Clear Lake, and the Clear Lake Fishing Club.

He is survived by his wife, Elsie Bussa, Clear Lake; one sister, Mrs.
Doris Barlow, Clear Lake; one brother, Everett Bussa and his wife,
Margaret, Melrose Park, Ill.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Walter Bussa
and Herbert Bussa; two infant sisters, Fern and Irene Bussa;
and one step-sister, Leta Johnson.
