Edwin P. Larson, 86, a resident of rural Potlatch died Thursday at the Gritman Medical Center in Moscow from causes related to age. Cremation will take place and his ashes will be buried at the Rock Creek Cemetery at a later date. A celebration of life will be announced later. Kramer Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

OBITUARY: Lewis Tribble
Lewis Tribble, age 86, of Moscow passed away due to age-related causes on Jan. 15, 2007, at Aspen Park Healthcare. Lewis was born on Aug. 14, 1920, to Hershiel and Lolah Benge Tribble in Princeton, Idaho. He graduated from Potlatch High School in 1939. Lewis married Helen Jensen on June 8, 1941, in Gifford, Idaho. Shortly after high school he was employed as a welder at Oregon Shipyard in Portland, Ore. Following that he worked at Bagott Motors in Palouse, Wash., before starting Moscow Body and Glass in 1954. He owned and managed that business until his retirement. Besides his deep love for family and friends he also enjoyed outdoor activities. He loved hunting, fishing, going on trail rides, training horses and cow cutting. He went on numerous trail rides including 25 years of riding with “Glover’s Gentlemen on Horseback,” “The Chief Joseph Appaloosa Ride,” which he rode several legs of, the Sheriff’s Posse Rides and the annual family trail ride. Lewis was also known for his sense of humor, love of people and was a friend to all.

Angelina Fransisca “Angie” Cabrera, 19, of Payette, Idaho, passed away Thursday, Jan. 4, 2007. Mass of a Christian Burial will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 10, at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Holy Family Chapel, Payette, with Father Calvin Blankinship as celebrant. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Payette. A visitation for family and friends will be from 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 9, at the Holy Family Chapel, Payette, with a rosary service starting at 7 p.m. Condolences may be made to the family at www.shaffer-jensenchapel.com. Angie was born Dec. 1, 1987, to Andres and Connie Cabrera in Ontario, Ore. She attended the Payette schools, graduating from Payette High School in May of 2006. Angie participated in basketball, softball, swimming, tennis and cross country. She was a cheerleading captain and was voted “most unforgettable” her senior year. She was attending the University of Idaho and was a member of the spirit squad.

Funeral services for Margaret A. Heustis, 79, a resident of Potlatch, Idaho, will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2007, at 11 a.m. at Kramer Funeral Home in Palouse, Wash., with Pastor Kathy L. Kramer officiating. Burian will follow at the Pinecrest Cemetery at Deary, Idaho. Mrs. Heustis died early Thursday morning at Gritman Medical Center in Moscow.
Barry William Hughes

Barry William Hughes, age 56, of Atlanta, Ga., passed away June 2.
Barry was born on March 2, 1950 and grew up in Viola, Idaho, the son of William H. Hughes and Jeanette Pearce. He graduated from Moscow High School in 1969. After school he went to work for Bell Telephone and his job took him to work in Texas and eventually in Atlanta where he retired in 2002.
He is survived by his children, Tuesday Hughes and Kolton Hughes of Atlanta and Dustin Hughes of Waco, Texas; his father, William (Mary) Hughes of Spokane; his mother, Jeanette (Walter) Campbell of Spokane; brothers Jim (Susan) Hughes and David Hughes of Oldtown, Idaho, and Lanny (Susan) Hughes and Randy Hughes of Spokane; sisters Debra (Del) Haynes and Diane (Frank) Lukas of Spokane; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was a great father, brother, and son. He was deeply loved and will be sorely missed by his children, family, and friends.
A graveside service will be held on June 13 at noon at the Viola Rock Creek Cemetery in Viola.
OBITUARY: Wilma Leaton
Wilma Leaton, age 74, of Deary, Idaho, passed away at home on Friday, Dec. 15, 2006. Wilma was born to Michael and Eva Jahner on Dec. 3, 1932, at Selfridge, N.D. She was the eighth of 12 children. Wilma married Richard Young on April 21, 1949, and had seven children. They remained married until 1967. Wilma met Ralph Leaton and they were married in 1974. They made their home in Deary, Idaho.
OBITUARY: Marion Johnson
Marion Johnson, 89, passed away Nov. 22, 2006 of natural causes with his family at his side. He was born in Twin Falls, Idaho, on April 15, 1917, to Jesse and Amy Johnson. Marion graduated from Spokane’s Lewis and Clark High School in 1936. In July 1941, Marion married Lois Kirkeby, also of Spokane, and the couple had two children. They moved to Pullman in 1944 and opened a sheet metal and heating business. After recovering from an injury, Marion went to work for Washington State College, now WSU, working in the Engineering Research Department. He retired in 1979 after 25 years of service.

Kathleen L. Trotter, 86, a resident of Plummer, Idaho, died early Thursday at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix, Ariz., from injuries received in an automobile accident near there. A memorial service will be announced by Kramer Funeral Home of Palouse, Wash., at a later date. Kramer Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

Earl Dean Hall
78, Longmont, Colo.

Earl D. Hall of Longmont, Colo., passed away March 18, surrounded by his family. He was 78.
Earl — born June 30, 1927, in Plummer, Idaho — was the eldest of five children born to Earl Dean Hall Sr. and Mary Whitsett Hall. The children were sent to an orphanage in 1938. Earl’s brother and two sisters were adopted from there and his brother, Allen, died there at the age of 9.
Enlisting in the U.S. Navy at age 17, Earl served four years in that branch of the military. In 1950, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. He earned the World War II Victory Medal, China Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal and National Defense Service Medal.
Earl married his wife, Alverta, in 1951 and became father to her four children from a previous marriage. Assigned to an Air Force base in northeast England, Earl was joined by the family. They lived in England for two years during the time the Queen of England was crowned. They had a wonderful experience in England, from living in a tiny, thatched-roof cottage to living a second year in a large, converted monastery.
Earl graduated from the University of Idaho in 1960, returning to school after many years and earning a General Motors scholarship for excellence in his academic work. Working at General Motors in Detroit for one year, Earl and his family were returning to the Idaho mountains when they traveled through Longmont and decided to stay. Earl worked at the Daily Times-Call for several years in the business office, was assistant manager at Longmont Lanes bowling alley and then began a long career with several construction firms as a cost estimator. He retired in 1988 after many years as cost estimator and vice president at Yocum Plastering Co. in Longmont.
An avid reader, bowler and member of American Legion Post 32, Earl — along with his beloved Alverta — welcomed friends and family to their Longmont home in the years after his retirement.
Earl is survived by his wife, Alverta, of Longmont; his daughters and sons-in-law, Jana Mendez and Max Dondiotti of Longmont, and Lana and Rich Lathrop of Boulder; his sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Molly Wells of Boise and Pat and Sheila Wells of Moscow; a brother, Vern Pelton of Moscow; a sister, Kay Widner of Port Orchard, Wash.; 12 grandchildren, Jeff and Jim Wells and Teresa Rebillet of Boise, Amy Mendez of Houston, Jennifer Mendez of Longmont, Christopher Mendez of Edgewater, Jason Lathrop of Longmont, Jamie Lathrop of Longmont, Jon Lathrop of Los Alamos, N.M., Greg Wells of Coeur d’Alene, Joanie Salisbury of Redding, Calif., and Jeanne Lindhorst of Moscow.
He was delighted to have 30 great-grandchildren. Pictures of them lined the walls, shelves and albums of his home. He was preceded in death by two great-granddaughters, Ashli Salisbury and Jada Halsey-Mendez; a brother, Allen; and a sister, Connie Shaw.
Private family memorial services will be held. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Mountain State Children’s Home, 14780 N. 107th St., Longmont 80504.
Robert H. Jobb
72, Genesee resident

Robert (Bob) Henry Jobb, 72, of Genesee, Idaho, passed away Wednesday at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center due to complications from a fall.
Bob was born on June 16, 1933, in Spokane, Wash., to Thomas W. Jobb and Hattie Heimbigner Jobb O’Donnell. He grew up in Spokane and graduated from North Central High School in 1951. He joined and served proudly in the United States Marine Corps for 28 years. The “Best Years of His Life” as he would say. Bob married his first wife, Betty L. Welch, and had four children, they later divorced. He married Mert Geltz in 1963 and they had three children. They also divorced. He worked for the U. S. Department of Agriculture as a grain inspector for 25 years, working in Moscow, Seattle and Sacramento where he retired. After retiring, he moved back to Genesee where he remained until his death.
Bob’s hobbies and interests included the outdoors, hunting, trap shooting, and “chasing greyhounds.” He was very active and retired as a First Sergeant from the Marine Corps Reserves 5th 155 Howitzer Battery and continued to be active in the American Legion Post #58 in Genesee. He was also a life member of the Knights of Columbus.
Bob is survived by his brother, William Jobb, and wife Maureen of Spokane and seven children, Bob Rhea, of Kendrick, Idaho, Casey Rhea of Spokane, Bo and Gail Rhea of Spokane, Cindy and Bruce Yenni of Kendrick, Craig Jobb of Honolulu, Hawaii, Bill Jobb of Coeur d’Alene, and Malynda Ray of Uniontown, Wash. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; four great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends. He was a loving father and friend and will be greatly missed by all. SEMPER FI!!!
Bob was preceded in death by his father, Thomas W. Jobb; mother, Hattie Heimbigner Jobb O’Donnell; Aunt Nellie Heimbigner; and several other aunts and uncles.
Arrangements are being provided by Malcom’s Brower-Wann Funeral Home in Lewiston. Services will be conducted at 11 a.m., Tuesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, with grave side service at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery to follow. A reception will follow at the Genesee Senior Center, 140 E. Walnut.
