Ella May Head
Rupert
Ella May Head, a 74-year-old Rupert resident, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2004, at Minidoka Memorial Hospital.
Ella was born Nov. 4, 1929, in Rupert, Idaho, the daughter of Mary Jane West and James Royal Miller. She attended schools in Rupert and graduated from Rupert High School. She married Dick May in September 1948 in Elko, Nev., they later divorced. She moved to Washington in 1949 and later moved back to Rupert in 1997 where she has since resided with her sister and brother-in-law, Ruth Ann and Marvin Fletcher. While she was in Washington she was a member of the Moose Club. Ella enjoyed reading, playing cards and loved being with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by four children, Lynda Hancock of Kelso, Wash., Larry May of Woodland, Wash., Terri Lawlis of Tacoma, Wash., and Robert May of Longview, Wash.; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Johnny Miller and Tommy Joe Miller; three sisters, Ruth Ann Fletcher, Marilie Trollinger and Sally Bullock.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Roxann Anderson; her parents; and one brother, Charles Miller.
A gathering for friends and family will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. today, Saturday, Nov. 6, 2004, at Herbert and Sally Bullock's home, 506 S. D St. in Rupert. Local arrangements are under the direction of Hansen Mortuary Rupert Chapel, 710 Sixth St., Rupert, ID 83350.

Virginue Patsy Journey Albertson
Twin Falls
Virginue Patsy Journey Albertson, age 98, died peacefully on Nov. 4, 2004, in Twin Falls, Idaho, at a retirement home with her family by her side.
Virginue was born in Clinton, Mo., on Feb. 9, 1906, and she was the youngest of six children born to Jerome and Ella Journey. They moved to Gooding, Idaho, in 1909 where she was raised and graduated from Gooding High School in 1924. She attended college at Albion Normal School and was married to Sharon H. Albertson in Gooding on Dec. 28, 1927. Virginue touched the lives of many children and families in the Magic Valley as a second-grade school teacher for 28 years.
Surviving Virginue is a daughter, Pat (Phil) Kinnison of Twin Falls; and a son, Max (Lorraine) Albertson of Pocatello, Idaho; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Her parents, her husband and five siblings preceded her in death.
Virginue was a member of Chapter BP of PEO and the Twin Falls First Presbyterian Church.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 27, 2004, at the Twin Falls First Presbyterian Church with Pastor Al Fry officiating. All services and arrangements are under the direction of the Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home of Twin Falls, Idaho.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Twin Falls First Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund in her name.

Donzel Jack "Skip" Runyan
Gooding
Donzel Jack "Skip" Runyan, age 46, passed away Friday morning, Nov. 5, 2004 at Magic Valley Regional Medical Center with his family at his side.
Skip was born at Nevada, Mo. on July 11, 1958, the oldest of four children born to Billy Jack and Bonnie Runyan. He graduated from high school in El Dorado Springs, Mo. in 1976 and that same year moved to Gooding, Idaho. Skip moved to Illinois in 1977 working as a welder's helper on a nuclear power plant, later becoming a welding inspector. He returned to Idaho in 1983 with the love of his life, Connie Jean.
Skip began working in public service for the City of Gooding in various labor jobs, including part time as a police officer. He graduated from the Idaho Police Academy in 1987. His career as a Police Sergeant ended Nov. 5, succumbing to melanoma cancer. It was a courageous 30 month battle.
Surviving Skip is his wife, Connie; four children, Michele, Michael, Melissa and Melinda; his parents of Gooding; his brother, Danny (Lisa) of Twin Falls; two sisters, Anita (Pat) Bourner of Twin Falls and Shauna (Greg) Huerta of Pocatello; four nieces, Stephanie, Brandie, and Allison Runyan and Danielle Huerta, and one nephew, Gabriel Huerta; two aunts, Wilma Craft of Kansas City, Kan. and Minnie Watts of Jerome; two uncles, Frank Runyan of Sheldon, Mo. and Evert Runyan of Wheeling, W. Va.; and many cousins and friends.
Viewing will be Tuesday evening Nov. 9 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Demaray's Funeral Chapel in Gooding.
Funeral services will be conducted 3:30 p.m Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2004 at the Gooding High School. Burial will follow in Elmwood cemetery, Gooding.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your favorite charity or the Skip Runyan Benefit Fund at Bank of America, Gooding, Idaho.

Geraldine Marie Fields
Wendell
Geraldine Marie Fields passed away at her home with her family on Nov. 5, 2004, at the age of 76.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2004, at the United Methodist Church in Wendell.
Geraldine was born on March 19, 1928, in North Dakota to Emil and Viola Taasevigen. She attended schools in Fairview and went on to beauty school in Billings, Mont. She moved to Tacoma, Wash., where she met and married Elmer Fields, a merchant seamen. They had six children. After divorcing many years later, she relocated to Wendell, Idaho, where she met Dean Sisson who remained by her side until her death.
She had a zeal for life and overcame many obstacles, always finding the positive in any situation. She enjoyed chariot racing with Dean and doing crossword puzzles.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, three brothers, a half sister, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
She is survived by the love of her life, Dean Sisson; her children and their spouses, Linda Lewis (Gary), Cynthia Strickland (Fletcher), Edward Fields, Robert Fields (Jackie), Kenneth Fields and Steven Fields (Julie); 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are under the direction of Demaray's Funeral Chapel at 164 Main St., Wendell.

Ida Belle Rickey
Twin Falls
Ida Belle Rickey died Nov. 5, 2004, three days short of her 85th birthday, at BridgeView Estates in Twin Falls, Idaho, following a brief illness.
Ida was born Nov. 8, 1919, at Strasburg, Colo., to Ida Bell Whitson Vieths and LeRoy Vieths. She and Lloyd W. Rickey married Oct. 26, 1940, in Taos, N.M. They had three children, Kenneth Rickey (Charlene) of Twin Falls, Judith Norman of Las Vegas and Linda Muffley of Emmett.
Ida and Lloyd lived during World War II in Buffalo, N.Y., where Lloyd worked building airplanes, and where Kenneth and Judith were born. The family later moved to Cheyenne, Wyo., where Lloyd worked in United Airlines' maintenance shops, and where Linda was born. Lloyd and Ida realized their dream of owning a farm when, in 1948, they moved to a place along the Big Wood River northeast of Gooding. There, they raised their children, with Ida a full partner in the often grueling work of farming rocky ground, and helping to make ends meet by raising chickens, eggs, turkeys, raspberries and strawberries for sale.
After retiring from farming, they enjoyed traveling, golfing and bowling during the winters in the warmth of Yuma, Ariz. Summers were spent at the "home place" at Gooding. After Lloyd died in 1990, Ida continued that semi-annual pilgrimage and her active lifestyle, until settling in full time at a seniors condo complex in Filer. She enjoyed her time there in the company of her many neighbors and friends.
Ida was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Leola Gullion of Granger, Wash.; her husband; and a grandson, Sean Rickey.
She is survived by her three children, five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
At Ida's request, there will be no service or memorial gathering. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Reynolds Funeral Chapel in Twin Falls.

DeAnne F. Thomas
Hagerman
DeAnne F. Thomas, age 46, of Hagerman, died Saturday, Nov. 6, 2004, at her home surrounded by family and friends.
Dee was born on Oct. 5, 1958, in Brush, Colo., the daughter of Floyd and Jessie Hunt. She attended school in Idaho Falls and Eden. It was on Dec. 1, 1979, that she married Robert W. Thomas in Jerome, Idaho. The couple made their home in Hagerman.
They were blessed with two children and many friends.
Dee is survived by her husband, Robert W. Thomas of Hagerman; son, Jeremy L. (Ancela) Thomas with the USAF in Ramstine, Germany; daughter, Amanda E. Thomas of Hagerman; aunt, Loretta Hunt of Jerome; sister, Roberta (Steve) Rutherford of Buhl; brothers, Robert (Lennie) Hunt, Rodney (Beth) LaCuran, Floyd (Maria) Hunt Jr. and Leonard Hunt all of Colorado, Dennis (Connie) Hunt of Jerome, Kenneth "Buck" (Jodie) Hunt of Murtaugh and Robin Hunt of Florida; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Roger LaCuran and Thomas Hunt.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 12, 2004, at the Hagerman Christian Center, 2750 S. 900 E. in Hagerman with Pastor Isaac Tellez officiating.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Hagerman Christian Center Memorial Fund.

Floyd E. Miller
Floyd E. Miller, 95, passed away Friday, Nov. 5, 2004, at his home in Filer.
Floyd E. Miller was born at Garden City, Mo., July 1, 1909, to Levi and Mattie (Zook) Miller. He was the next to the youngest of 10 children. He attended Hesston Academy, Hesston, Kan., where he met Freda Brunk. They married in 1932.
To this union, eight children were born and all survive, Nadine (Clifford) Miller, Hutchinson, Kan., Floyd Jr. (Marge) Miller, Twin Falls, Idaho, Bill (Sharon) Miller, Pocatello, Idaho, Ed (Jan) Miller, Medford, Ore., Rita (Emerson) Miller, Caldwell, Idaho, Keith (Vickie) Miller, Nampa, Idaho, Connie (Neal) Anderson, Bend, Ore., and Bonnie (Bob) Gerig, Lebanon, Ore.; three stepchildren, Joyce (Vern) Yost, Denver, Colo., Dale Snyder, Winnemucca, Nev., and Carol John, Seattle, Wash.; one brother, Joe Miller, Eagle, Idaho; 24 grandchildren and 43 great-grandchildren
In the early years, they lived in Twin Falls where Floyd worked for Young's Dairy; later they moved back to Kansas where he was a farmer. Floyd returned to Idaho where he spent the remainder of his life.
Freda preceded Floyd in death in 1971. He then married Lydia Stutzman who died in 1988. In 1992 he married Erma Snyder, who survives him.
Memorials may be made in memory of Floyd to Idaho Home Health and Hospice or Gideons International.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2004, at Kohlerlawn cemetery in Nampa, Idaho. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2004, at the Filer Mennonite Church, Filer, Idaho.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Farmer Funeral Chapel, Buhl, Idaho.

Karen Ann Hatfield
Fort Worth, Texas
Karen Ann Hatfield, 59, mother of three, returned to her Father in Heaven, Saturday, Nov. 6, 2004.
A funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 300 Ridgecrest, Saginaw, TX 76179. Burial will be at Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Greenwood Funeral Home.
Karen was born March 19, 1945, in Spokane, Wash., the child of Eva and Floyd Kyllo. Karen moved from Twin Falls, Idaho, in 1986, and was employed as a registered nurse at John Peter Smith Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hallie Earl Hatfield; mother, Eva Gertrude Wells; father, Floyd Merle Kyllo; and sister, Lois Jean Neff.
Survivors are children, Kelli Noll of Alvarado, Kyllo Hatfield of Twin Lakes, Wis., and Kyndall Hatfield of Fort Worth; sister, Judy Shipman; and grandsons, Kevin Garrett and Matthew Noll.

Velma O. Alvey
Buhl
On Friday Nov. 12, 2004, our beloved mother, Velma Alvey, passed away quietly in her sleep, at home surrounded by her daughters. Mom was born in Ragan, Neb. on Dec. 27, 1927, at her parents' home. Her parents,
Nelson and Juilett Primm, took mom and brothers and moved to Oregon following the fruit harvest and working odd farming jobs.
In later years they settled in Twin Falls where she met her future husband, Leonard Alvey. They were married June 27, 1945, and were together for 31 years until his death in 1976. From their union came five daughters: Karen (Walter) Winchell of Star Valley, Nev., Sandi (Rudy) Armenta of Ontario, Ore., Connie (Steve) Ordonez and Kathy (Rodney) Aitchison both of Buhl, Debbie Gerber of Elko, Nev. Mom had eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren that she adored and many more family members that will miss her greatly.
Mom was the center of our world. She was a great mother who always put us before herself. She had a great sense of humor that we'll miss greatly. Mom will be in our hearts and thoughts forever! Her cats were her second
passion and she always made sure that strays had a full tummy and a warm bed. They will also miss her too.
Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2004, at White Mortuary "Chapel by the Park." Visitation will be for one hour prior to services on Wednesday. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, should friends desire, contributions may be made to Home Health and Hospice-Magic Valley Regional Medical Center or their favorite charity. Contributions may be given to mortuary staff for forwarding.
