William ( Dick) R. Beeson
Rupert - William ( Dick) R. Beeson, a 97-year-old Rupert resident, passed away Wednes-day, December 10, 2003 at Minidoka Memorial Extended Care.
Dick was born February 20, 1906 in Fox Home, Minnesota to Ralph B and Martha C. Honans Beeson. After schooling, he spent three years in the service between World Wars. He was stationed at Fort Lewis, Washington in the Cavalry Unit. After discharge from the service, he worked in Oregon; then came to Twin Falls, Id in 1931.
He worked for Colorado Milling & Elevator for 26 years, first in Twin Falls, Buhl, and Rupert in 1941. After retiring from Rupert Bean Elevator, he worked as a carpenter during the week and worked on weekends at Pomerelle Ski Area where he was one of the five original owners. During these years, he was also on the Rupert Fire Department serving for 50 years-part of that time as secretary. He belonged to the Rupert Lions Club and Elks lodge. Dancing was a favorite past time even in the years at the Minidoka Memorial Extended Care. He also loved skiing, gardening, friends, and especially his family.
Dick married Helena Sherlock in January of 1932 in Driggs, Id. who passed away in 1960. They had one daughter, Ella Mae. He married Ruth Priest in 1961 and later divorced. They had one son, Billy. Dick helped raise her children from a previous marriage, Patti and Joe Priest.
He was survived by his two daughters, Ella Mae Rule of Rupert and Patti (John) Yeoman of California; and two sons, Joe (Emiley) Priest of Inkom, Id. and Billy Beeson of Reno, NV; seven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; two brothers, Ralph Beeson of Wahpeton, North Dakota and Albert Beeson of Big Bear City, California.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Helena; and three sisters.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Hansen Mortuary Rupert Chapel.

Paul Montezuma Aguilar
Paul - Paul Montezuma Aguilar, 54, of Paul passed away Thursday Dec. 11, 2003 at the Park view care and rehabilitation of Burley.
Paul was borne June 26,1949 in Madero, Tx to Florentino and Cruz Aguilar. When Paul was young the family moved to Paul, ID where he attended schools there and graduated from Minico High School.
After high school he joined the United States Marine Core where he served for four years and in 1975 Paul married Carolyn Hernandez and they had to children Daniel Aguilar of Paul, and Christina (Gabriel) Villasenor of Burley.
Paul enjoyed doing many things most of all his job at Boise Cascade where he worked for 33e years.
Paul so enjoyed his friendships he made with all his co-workers. Pauls greatest enjoyments were spending time in the mountains, camping, fishing and bike riding where he loved the trails in Sun Valley.
He was a avid reader and was often found outside under the tree reading his favorite Stephen King Novel. He also loved looking up to the heavens at night watching the stars and sat alights and staying home and spending time with his family. Paul was a very caring and generous man who would often give up his time to help others in their time of need.
He was also a member of the Roman Catholic Church St. Nicholas Parish in Rupert.
Paul was preceded in death by his niece Stephanie Vasquez and a nephew Alcario Chapa III. He is survived by his parents and wife and children six brothers and sister Elva (Marcos) Villarrea of Boise, ID and Mary (Ralph) Kramer of Mountain Home, ID; John (Char) Aguilar of Boise, ID; Cande (Robert) Gomez of Twin Falls, ID ; Mike Aguilar of Boise, ID and Luis (Becky) Aguilar of Filler, ID
Funeral services are under the direction of the Hansen Mortuary Rupert Chapel and are going to be held 2 p.m. Tuesday Dec. 16, 2003 at the St. Nicholas Catholic Church Of Rupert 802 F St. Rupert, ID.
Friends may call from 6-8 p.m.. at the Mortuary with a Rosary being held at 7 p.n.. at the Hansen Mortuary Rupert Chapel and one hour prior to the services at the church on Tuesday.

Dorothy Stimpson
Heyburn - Dorothy Stimpson, 80, Heyburn, passed away Monday, Sept. 29, 2003, at Sunbridge Care Center in Twin Falls.
Dorothy was born October 17, 1922 in Springdale the daughter of Cyrus O. and Sarah Ann Hunt Tolman. She attended schools in Declo and graduated from Declo High School. After graduation she went on to Beauty School.
She married Robert Stimpson Feb. 11, 1944 in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. She ran a beauty salon out of her home for 49 years in Heyburn. They lived in Heyburn, except for a brief time when they lived in MayWood California.
Dorothy enjoyed all kind of crafts, including crocheting, quilting and sewing. She also enjoyed gardening, especially her flowers.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving as a Sunday School secretary, in the Young Women MIA and she served in many other church callings.
She is survived by her two daughter Lynn (Robert Jr.) Despain of Heyburn; Linda Beck of Heyburn; three sons Leslie (Lana) Stimpson of Idaho Falls; Dick (Marjorie) Stimpson of Twin Falls; and Randy (Courtey) Stimpson of Idaho Falls; one sister Hazel Gambles of Blackfoot; three brothers Jerold Tolman; Dean Tolman; and Harold Tolman all of Utah; 17 grandchildren and 42 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, one son-in-law, four sisters, and eight brothers.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, 2003, at the Paul LDS 3rd and 4th Ward Chapel, with Bishop Kay Catmull officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Heyburn.
Friends may call Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Hansen Mortuary Rupert Chapel and one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church.

SUSIE RODABAUGH
BURLEY - Susie Rodabaugh, 80-year-old Burley resident, died Saturday, Sept. 27, 2003, at the Parke View Care and Rehabilitation Center in Burley.
She was born June 13, 1923, in Declo, to John W. and Alice Ashcroft Hepworth. She married Walter A. Rodabaugh on June 10, 1948, in Lovelock, Nev. He preceded her in death March 5, 1995.
Survivors include three sons, Robert William Rodabaugh of Kennewick, Wash., Gerald Owen (Julie) Rodabaugh of Twin Falls, and Randy Lee Rodabaugh of Burley; a brother; three sisters; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and one brother.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2003, at the Pleasant View Cemetery in Burley, with Ivan Hepworth, officiating. Friends may call at the Payne Mortuary, 221 West Main Street in Burley from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. prior to the service on Wednesday.

Golden Wayne Knutson
Rupert - Golden "Goldie" Wayne Knutson, 66-year-old Heyburn resident, died Sunday, Sept. 28, 2003, at his home.
Goldie was born April 10, 1937 in Malad to Lester and Caroline Nattress Knutson. He was full time in the U. S. Army from 1954 to 1956 as an engineer stationed in Fairbanks, Alaska. He re-enlisted in the National Guard in 1973 as a gunner tank commander and later in food service until his retirement in 1994.
He married Phyllis Carol Christensen on September 11, 1958 in Fairfield, Idaho. In 1967, he worked at Simplot Burley Processing until the plant closure in 1981 and then transferred to the Heyburn plant until his retirement in 1997.
Goldie loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing and playing with his grandchildren and singing and dancing. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Heyburn First Ward.
Goldie was loved and cherished by all who knew him-if you didn't know him, he would soon have you laughing and you will remember him for the rest of eternity.
He is survived by his wife; his two children, Curtis (Deana) Knutson of Heyburn and Penny Tolman of Rupert; nine grandchildren and two great great children; brothers, Dan (Lois) Knutson of Taylorsville, Utah, Mae Sterner of Twin Falls, and Jay (Jackie) Knutson of Twin Falls; sister Mae Sterner of Twin Falls.
He was preceded in death by his father, mother, two sisters and six brothers.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 3, 2003 at the LDS Heyburn First Ward, 530 Villa Dr. with Bishop Gene Price officiating. Burial will be at the Riverside Cemetery in Heyburn.
Family and friends may call 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 2, 2003, at Hansen Mortuary Rupert Chapel, 710 6th Street, and one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.

KENNETH LEE CHRISTIANSEN
TWIN FALLS - Kenneth Lee Christiansen, 42-year-old Twin Falls and former Burley resident, died Sunday, Sept. 28, 2003, near Arco, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
He was born May 21, 1961, in Burley, the son of Dean Christiansen and Bobbie Wake Larsen. He attended schools in Burley. He married Karen Miller and they were later divorced. He worked as a salesman at Latham Motor in Twin Falls. Kenneth was a Harley enthusiast and was a member of the Harley Club. He loved to hunt and take trips to Sturgis with his buddies.
Survivors include his mother, Bobbie (Bob) Larsen of Burley; his father, Dean Christiansen of Ogden, Utah; two daughters, Katie Ann Christiansen and Kylie Joe Christiansen, both of Twin Falls; three sisters, Robin Hylton of Paul, Sherry Rasmussen of Rupert, and Joan Larsen of Cheyenne, Wyoming; two brothers, Scott Christiansen of Heyburn and Gerald Larsen of St. Anthony. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Jay and Thora Wake of Burley and his paternal grandparents, Henry and Etta Mae Christiansen of Iowa.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 2, 2003, at the Payne Memorial Chapel, 221 West Main Street in Burley. Friends may call at the Payne Mortuary on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and from 12:00 to 12:45 p.m. prior to the funeral on Thursday.

Jordon Ryan Rogers
Burley - Jordon Ryan Rogers, infant son of Bernard Jay "B.J." and Trisha Nicole Rogers, died Sunday, Sept. 28, 2003, at Cassia Regional Medical Center.
Jordon was born Sept. 27, 2003, and lived a short four hours.
He is survived by his parents, B.J. and Trisha Rogers, and his two brothers, Auston and Terrence Rogers of Burley; his grandparents, Beverly Rogers of Burley, Roy and Kris Rogers of Jerome, and Kingston Sr. and Kathy West of Amity, Oregon; and his great-grandparents, Carol Gergen of Hazelton, and Roy and Sarah Hart of Paul.
The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 2, 2003, at Rasmussen Funeral Home, 1350 E. 16th St., Burley, with Bishop Douglas Whipple officiating. Burial will be in the Hazelton Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, and from 9-9:45 a.m. Thursday at Rasmussen Funeral Home.

Emma S. Nava
Burley - Emma Sebastian Nava, 70, of Burley, died Sunday, Sept. 28, 2003, following a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born January 20, 1933, in Flores Ville, Texas, the daughter of Ofelio and Otilia Acosta Cobio. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed cooking, camping, and going on walks with them. She also liked to gamble.
She is survived by her children, Moses (Maria) Nava, Alice Herrera, Richard (Tabey) Nava, Andy (Dianne) De La Rosa, Otilia (Richard) Ortega, and Julie Ochoa, all of Burley, Robert (Anna Maria) Nava of Muscatine, Iowa, Blanca (Otilio) Chaidez, and Frank (Nancy) Cobio, both of Heyburn, Christina (Jerry) Ramirez of Las Vegas, Nevada, Nellie (Mario Jr.) Labra, Mary Lou (Juan) Labra, and Angie (Mario) Ruiz, all of Rupert; one brother, Francisco Cobio of Houston, Texas; two sisters, Maria Louisa Nava of Nampa, Idaho, Leopolda Contreras of Ogden, Utah, and Sophia Cervantes of Pharr, Texas; 52 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Cerildo Nava; one daughter, Blancita Nava; one son, Ramon Briones; a son-in-law, George Herrera; two grandsons, Isaac Labra and Johnny Angel Nava; one granddaughter, Norma Zapata; one brother, Bruno Cobio; and one sister, Maria Cobio.
A vigil service with rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 2, 2003, at Little Flower Catholic Church, 1601 Oakley Ave., Burley. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 3, 2003, at Little Flower Catholic Church, with Father Juan Garatea as celebrant. Burial will follow at Gem Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call at Little Flower Catholic Church on Thursday, from 6-7 p.m., and on Friday, from 10-10:45 a.m.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Rasmussen Funeral Home, 1350 E. 16th St., Burley.
