Jenny Campbell, longtime West Yellowstone resident
WEST YELLOWSTONE - Jenelle “Jenny” Danette Kirkness, 39, passed away on Friday, October 5 of natural causes at home in Elko, NV.
She was born on February 24, 1968 in Panorama City, California to Melissa “Missy” Campbell.
She grew up and was educated at the North Shore of Lake Tahoe in California.
She and her mom moved to West Yellowstone, where for many years Jenny worked at numerous jobs, including at the Museum of the Yellowstone and the Old Towne Cafe. She was known for her bubbly and gracious personality when dealing with the many visitors to the community she served.
Jenny loved the outdoors, and especially treasured wildlife and fishing at Hebgen Lake.
She is survived by her mother, Missy Campbell, of West Yellowstone, brother, John Campbell of California, and grandmother, Mickey Adams of Las Vegas.
Assistant Pastor Mac Graham will officiate at a memorial service set for 11 a. m. Thursday, October 18 at the Baptist Church in West Yellowstone.

Ronnie K. Butler
Ronnie Kenneth Butler, 62, of Island Park and Shelley, died Monday, October 8, 2007, at his cabin in Island Park of natural causes.
He was born December 13, 1944, in Idaho Falls, to Kenneth Lee and Versal Lily Robinson Butler. He attended school in the Shelley school district and graduated from Shelley High School. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
He worked as a welder/fabricator for 25 years for Logan Farm Equipment. The favorite part of his working there was driving truck and delivering equipment all over the United States. For the past seven years he has lived in Island Park and worked for the Idaho Transportation Department as a transportation technician.
He married Linda Jo Johnson on April 23, 1965 in Shelley. They had two children, Ronnie and Kandi. They were later divorced. He married Dee Cluff on August 30, 1996, in Island Park.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and woodworking.
He is survived by his companion, Dee Cluff; a son, Ronnie (Amy) Butler of Rexburg, a daughter, Kandi Lee Butler of Idaho Falls; six grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his parents.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 16, from 6 to 7:30 p.m., at Baxter Funeral Home, 717 Main Street, in Ashton. Private family services will be held at a later date.

Genny Kirkness, longtime West Yellowstone resident

Emaline Louise Atchley Strange
ST. ANTHONY -- Emaline Louise Atchley Strange, 96, died Nov. 13, 2007, at the Ashton Living Center.
She was born July 16, 1911, in Ashton, the daughter of James Arthur Atchley and Rachel A. Shults Atchley. She grew up on the family ranch above Ashton. She attended schools in Ashton and at Albion College and received a bachelor's degree in teaching from Ricks College in l957.
She married Edwin G. Strange on Nov. 26, 1937, at American Falls. The marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple on Nov. 16, 1972. She taught in Warm River and Vernon schools and substituted for many schools in Fremont County.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in various callings in Sunday school and Relief Society. Emaline was a devoted mother and grandmother.
Survivors include her children, Jean (Herb) Hawkins of Yakima, Wash., Jay (Sande) Strange of Springville, Utah, Janis Draper of Rexburg and Judy (Wayne) Clayton of Jackson, Wyo. She was preceded in death by her husband; brothers, Bill, Preston, and Alonzo Atchley; half sister, Janie; two grandchildren; a granddaughter; and a great-granddaughter.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, at the St. Anthony LDS 4th Ward with Bishop Rick Hill officiating. The family will visit with friends from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Friday at Bidwell Funeral Home and for one hour prior to the services at the church. Burial will be in Parker Cemetery.

George Kidder, Ashton
George Hernon Kidder, 77, of Ashton, died Saturday, November 17, 2007, at his home of natural causes. He was born September 3, 1930, in Marysville to Jesse and Gwendolyn Hauck Kidder. He graduated from North Fremont High School.
He served in the military during the Korean War with the 116th National Guard Engineering Battalion. He then returned to Ashton, where he worked in the timber as a logger. He also worked as a bartender in every bar in Fremont County.
He married Erna Jean Holcomb and they had three children. They later divorced. He married Billie Gayle Whitmore and they had one child. They later divorced. He was then married to Juanita Crislip until she passed away on January 2, 1997.
He loved writing cowboy poetry and had his poems published. He was involved with the Cowboy Poets and enjoyed performing his poems. He loved to hunt, trap, and fish. He enjoyed time spent with his family.
He is survived by his children, Brian (Ruth) Kidder of Ashton, Joellyn (Robert) Harris of Tremonton, Utah, Kurt (Kandi) Kidder of Idaho Falls; step-children, Debbie (George) Eden of Stevensville, Montana, Rick (Sally) Boyd of Traverse City, Michigan, Laura (Jesse) Kirby of Idaho Falls, Tammy (Bobby) Eck of Ashton, Michael (Jennifer) Crislip of Ashton, Missy (Henry) McRae of Menan, Bobby (Liz) Crislip of Wright, Wyoming; sisters, Viola (Gene) Sherard of Casa Grande, Arizona, Sally (Lloyd) Hall of Gresham, Oregon, a brother, James Tonkin of Carlsbad, California; 27 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Juanita, a daughter, Nola Jean, two grandsons, Jared Mickelsen and Jess Kidder.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, November 21, at the Ashton Tri-ward LDS Chapel with Pastor Rich Laux officiating. Burial was be in the Pineview Cemetery.

Eddie Lewis, Island Park
ISLAND PARK — Island Park lost a beloved community member this week when William Edward “Eddie” Lewis, 73, of Island Park and Beaver Dam, Arizona, passed away. Lewis died peacefully surrounded by his wife and family members on Monday, December 10, 2007 in Beaver Dam.
He was born April 8, 1934 in Pocatello to Leo Alma and Dorothy Broulim Lewis. Eddie graduated from Pocatello High School in 1952. He went to Idaho State University to play football and later transferred to Snow College in Utah, were he was an All American Basketball Player.
Eddie married Mary Louise Spanbauer Jones on December 23, 1978 in Pocatello. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He was a member of Idaho Steelhead and Salmon Unlimited and served the organization as a board member. He was a member of the Pool League in Pocatello, and the Pocatello Pathfinders and Island Park Fugowees snowmobile clubs.
Eddie helped set up golf tournaments and league play in Island Park. Many tournaments were fundraisers for area organizations, drawing many players and raising money to help with all kinds of projects, including those for emergency services, and the Island Park Area Chamber of Commerce. He and his wife were recipients of an Island Park Community Service Award for their work organizing the tournaments.
Eddie loved golf, fishing, hunting, dancing, watching baseball, especially the Atlanta Braves, playing pool, and snowmobiling.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Lewis of Island Park and Beaver Dam; children Randy Lewis of Emmett, Stacey (Brent) Marshall of Idaho Falls, Terri (Dennis) Exeter of Fort Hall; stepchildren Andrew (Jeanne) Jones of Pocatello, Jeffery Lee Jones of Pocatello, R. Scott Jones of Boise; stepmother Dottie Catmull of Pocatello; a brother, Ronnie Lewis of Pocatello; a sister, Lafawn Kelly of Phoenix, Arizona; 16 grandchildren, and one great- grandchild.
He is preceded in death by his parents and one grandchild, David James.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a. m. on Saturday December 15, 2007 at the Sunshiners Adult Community in Beaver Dam. Another memorial service will be held at a later date in Island Park.

Lucy Huntsman, Ashton
Lucy Huntsman, 83, of Ashton, died Saturday, December 22, 2007, at her home of natural causes.
She was born August 29, 1924, in Whittier, North Carolina, to Berry and Ida Jones. After her birth, her family moved to the Teton Basin, where she attended school in Judkins through the eighth grade.
Lucy made several trips across the United States, eventually settling down back in Whittier, where she was married to Wayne Thompson. They later divorced. She then married LaMar Huntsman of Ashton. Through the years they grew to love fishing, dog racing, and long Sunday drives to check on the crops. They raised four daughters.
She kept a big garden and was always putting up her harvest. She always found time for her grandchildren. She almost never missed a school play, sport events, or music concerts. She loved relaxing in her big chair with the little ones.
She is survived by her daughters, Ginger Bridges of Ashton, Brenda (Dan) Thyer of Virginia City, Montana, Julie (Jeff) Huntsman of Phoenix, Arizona, Becky Huntsman of Stamford, Texas; step-children, Ric Huntsman of Salt Lake City, Utah, Renee Sucher of Idaho Falls; nine grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two brothers and four sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, December 28, at the Ashton Third Ward Chapel. The family will receive friends Friday from noon to 12:45 p.m. at the church prior to services. Burial will be in the Pineview Cemetery under the direction of Baxter Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family asks donations be made to the funeral account at the funeral home.
