Ayres V. Henry, 76, passed away on Thursday, April 3, 2008 in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.
Memorial Services will be held at 2 pm, Saturday, April 12, 2008 at the New Song Bible Church in Sagle, Idaho.
Ayres was born on March 22, 1932 in Yakima, Washington, the son of Alfred and Eleanor (Bradbury) Henry. He grew up and attended schools in Yakima, joining the U.S. Navy following High School Graduation.
He served aboard the USS Rochester during the Korean War from 1950-1954. Following his enlistment, he worked as a Maintenance Engineer for Boeing, Johnson World Services and Fred Meyer. He also worked as a mechanic for Norlift in Spokane, Wa.
Ayres moved to Sagle, Idaho in 1997. His hobbies included Bible Study, reading, hiking, kayaking, research, inventing and projects of all kinds. He loved dogs, tolerated cats, elephants and deer. He also loved roses and, dandelion because he said “They are just dandy”.
Survivors include his wife Robin, three sons, Aaron, Kyle and Matthew, one daughter, Andrea, five grandchildren, Tierney, Galen, Elan, Jamie & Morgan, and his sister Barbara.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Loren.

Claribel Dorothy Hays, 89, passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at her home in Clark Fork, Idaho.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
Claribel was born on January 17, 1919 in Hysham, Montana, the daughter of Charles and Bessie (Downer) Fredericks. She grew up in the area, attended local schools and graduated from high school. Following high school, she married Robert E. Hays on May 25, 1936 in Forsyth, Montana.
She lived and ranched with her husband in Sarpy Creek, Montana, moved to Kila, Montana in 1944 and moved to Clark Fork, Idaho in 1947, raising sheep and dairy cows on their ranch.
Claribel cooked meals for the lumber jacks in the area logging camps in the early days and moved to Walla Walla, Washington, working for the Blue Mountain Boys Ranch. They moved to Prosser, WA, where Robert worked for Horse Heaven Hills and Claribel worked in the school and the church. They returned to Clark Fork, Idaho in 1997 and were married for 64 years prior to her husbands passing in 2000.
Her hobbies included quilting, sewing, cooking, fishing, gardening and also loved the outdoors.
Survivors include daughter, Betty Jean (Barry) Sage of Edgewood, WA; sons, Robert E. (Fay-Elyn) Hays of Clark Fork, Id., Mitchell (Peggy) Hays of Echo, Or. and Harold R. (Jan) Hays of Ponderay, Id.; 17 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, a great-great grandchild, numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert, 6 brothers, 4 sisters, a daughter Marjorie, and grandson, Michael Ebert.
Memorials may be made to Bonner Community Hospice, P.O. Box 1448, Sandpoint, Id., The First Baptist Church in Clark Fork or the Clark Fork Schools.

Charles “Allen” Felts, 78, passed away on Sunday, April 6, 2008 at his home in Sandpoint, Idaho. Private Family Memorial Services will be held at a later date.
Allen was born on January 8, 1930 in Dalhart, Texas, the son of Luther and Augusta (Ironmonger) Felts. He grew up in Dalhart and attended local schools. Allen enlisted in the U.S. Navy following his graduation from high school and was stationed in Alaska.
He moved to Sandpoint in 1949 and worked clearing land until 1961. He then went to work for Pacific Gas Transmission as a mechanic retiring in 1992. Allen later went back to work for PGT for another 4 years as a Gas Pipeline Inspector, and then retired to his farm in Oden. He was noted around the area for rebuilding old antique tractors and vehicles.
Allen married Jeanne Bircher in 1971 in Sandpoint and they raised two sons at their Oden home. Together they traveled to Europe, Mexico and Panama several times. Allen could fix anything mechanical and his work was meticulous with old tractors and vehicles.
He is survived by his wife, Jeanne Felts of Sandpoint, ID; daughter, Glenda Felts of Coeur d’Alene, ID; sons, John (Kim) Felts of Spokane, WA and Keith (Dalys) Felts of Spokane, WA; grandchildren, Brian, Derrick, Triston and Alexis Felts; sister, Joy Felts of Phoenix, AZ; and brother, Henry Felts of Careywood, ID.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

Robert "Bob" Buechner, 82, passed away on Monday, April 14, 2008 at his home in Sandpoint, Idaho.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, April 18, 2008 at the Lakeview Funeral Home in Sandpoint. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday. Burial will follow at the Pack River Cemetery with full military honors.
Robert was born July 8, 1925 and served America in the U.S. Navy during World War II in the South Pacific. He worked as a rancher his entire life.
Survivors include his wife, Marceline; three children, Claude II (Jenny), Marietta (Larry), and Robert Jr. (Sally); nine grandchildren, Nita, Jeff, Frank, Randy, Rowdy, Ryan, Claude, Collin, and Kim; six great-grandchildren, Brandi, James, Thomas, Like, Jessa and Jeffrey Jr. Also surviving is his sister, Hazel; brothers, Ted, Charley, Raymond, Jim and John; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Marietta, and great-granddaughter, Zoe.
Bob was greatly loved and will be missed.

David Perry Russell, 56, avid outdoorsman and lifetime, third generation resident, passed away on Thursday, September 20, 2007 at his home in Sagle, Idaho. Viewing for family and friends will be held Monday, September 24th at the Lakeview Funeral Home from 4-6 pm. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, September 25th at the Lakeview Funeral Home with Shawn Palaniuk officiating. Burial will follow at the Lakeview Cemetery.
David was born on August 14, 1951 in Sandpoint, Idaho one of six children raised by their mother Mae VanDerPas. Mae instilled in David a respect and love of the outdoors at an early age. He began fishing in Sand Creek at the age of five and eventually fished all the streams, rivers and lakes in North Idaho and hunted all of its mountains and valleys. He used his expertise in hunting and fishing to teach many of his friends the art of these sports.
After graduating from Sandpoint High School, he learned auto body repair and worked in saw mills but made construction his life’s work. He helped build many of the local facilities including condos at Schweitzer and the city beach, the new Cold Water Creek and many others. A talented craftsman, he constructed a second beautiful log home in Sagle with his own hands after his first one he built burned down.
David fell in love with Magge (Bancroft) Ward nine years ago and they were later married. David and Magge shared many passions together including gardening, hunting, fishing raising pets, taking care of their home, and spending time with friends and family.
David was a member of the laborers union and was active in public sessions dealing with wildlife management issues. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, construction, snowmobiling, and 4-wheeling.
He is survived by his loving wife, Magge Russell of Sagle, ID; two sisters, Bonnie Boettger of Tacoma, WA and Vivian (Ken) Hooper of Boise, ID; three brothers, Jim (Ginny) Russell of Rockville, MD, Ross (Barbara) Russell of Sandpoint, ID and John Russell of Spokane, WA.
He is also survived by a son Brian Brent Anderson of Sandpoint, a daughter Aammi Rae (Russell) Cotton and grandson Malakai Isiah Cotton now living in California.
He was preceded in death by his mother Mae VanDerPas.

Alta Marie Vincent, 66, peacefully passed away in her home surrounded by her family on Sunday, October 28, 2007 in Sandpoint, Idaho. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, November 3, 2007 at the Lakeview Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Steve Neuder officiating. Burial will follow at the Pinecrest Cemetery. Please wear her favorite color, purple, to celebrate her life.
Alta was born February 19, 1941 in Gregory, South Dakota to Lawrence and Martha Adams. She grew up and attended schools in Kimberly, Idaho. Alta married Charles “Chuck” Vincent on October 19, 1957 in Twin Falls, Idaho.
The family moved to Sandpoint in 1976. Alta has worked at Merwin’s True Value Hardware since 1982. During her employment she acquired numerous friendships with co-workers and customers.
Alta’s life was a testimony of sacrifice, always giving to others. She was the mother and grandmother only few could dream about. Her tender heart and compassion for others was unspeakable.
Alta enjoyed cooking (always trying out new recipes), working in her yard, and having family gatherings. Her most recent love in life was spending time with her great grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, Curtis (Sally) Vincent of Sandpoint, ID; four daughters, Lori (Jim) Eddings of Sagle, ID, Cherie (Brett) Moore of Sandpoint, ID, Janine (Bob) Lichty of Cocolalla, ID and Melinda (Mark) Hoekema of Newman Lake, WA; 12 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; brothers, Clifford Adams of Pennsylvania and Larry (Sheryl) Adams of Kimberly, ID.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Chuck Vincent in 2000, and grandson Steven Bryant in 2003.
Memorial donations may be made in Alta’s name to Bonner Community Hospice, PO Box 1448, Sandpoint, ID 83864.
