Paul Deckers, 76, passed away on Sunday, November 11, 2007 at his home in Sagle, Idaho.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3:30 pm, Sunday, December 9, 2007 at the Gardenia Center in Sandpoint.
Paul was born in Antwerp, Belgium, April 25th, 1931.
He later attended college at St. Jean Berchmans in Antwerp, graduating with a degree in Engineering.
His first job was at De Man Co. working in radiology.
He married Lillian Hucklenbroich on September 2, 1957.
They have a daughter Dominique, born in June 1958.
Paul managed a medical branch of Van Der Heyden for 16 years.
Then he started his own company, “Percussonaire”.
Paul’s new company thrived for 8 years doing business in many countries until he got Parkinson’s disease.
He sold his company and retired here in Sandpoint.
Survivors include his wife, Lillian and daughter, Dominique.

Wanda Lou Cerwensky, 72, walked on after valiantly fighting her illness for many years on Sunday, November 11, 2007 in Sandpoint, Idaho. Services will be held at a later date.
Wanda was born February 8, 1935 in McKinney, Texas to Maurice and Addie Hogue and was raised in Greenville, TX.
She later moved to Los Angeles and enlisted in the United States Marine Corp.
During this time she met and married Alfred Jacob Cerwensky. Mr. Cerwensky died in 1969.
She then met Mario Schepis who later died in 2003.
Wanda often sacrificed her own necessities for the benefit of others that she loved.
She never gave up even though life was difficult at times, this was an inspiration to others.
Wanda settled in Sandpoint, Idaho in 2002 to enjoy her remaining years in Idaho’s beautiful panhandle.
She enjoyed reading, hiking, panning for gold, the outdoors, and traveling.
She leaves to cherish in her memory her mother, Addie Dominy; four sisters Helen, Peggy, Barbara, and June; five children Al, Jon, Donna, Luise, and Jacob; and two grandchildren Christopher and Salem.
She was preceded in death by her father Maurice, step-father John Dominy, and husbands Alfred and Mario.

Hartley H. Bush, 84, passed away on Friday, November 30, 2007 in Sandpoint.
At the family’s request, no services will be held.

John Keating, 72, passed away on March 18, 2007.
With the expertise and compassion of Hospice and Dr. Leedy, he was able to die in his home with his wife and daughter at his side.
He fought a valiant battle against Mesothelioma (Asbestos Cancer).
Born in coastal Seaton Carew, England, on October 10, 1934, John became the quintessential American and an example of what makes the United States a special place. He survived German bombings during his childhood in WWII, eventually made his way to the Pacific Northwest, and graduated from Washington State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Metallurgical Engineering.
He then began a career that took him to every corner of the globe and experiences that many can only imagine.
Sixteen years of project management for Lockheed Shipbuilding in Seattle, Ingalls Shipbuilding in Mississippi, where he met his wife, Marge, and a stint with Santa Fe Engineering Services.
Then 22 years as a Private Consultant and Contractor installing turbine/compression packages and other facilities for oil, natural gas, electric power generation services in Belgium, Africa, California, Iran, Dubai, Indonesia, Gulf of Mexico, North Slope of Alaska, Canada, Seattle, Korea, Japan, Ohio, Massachusetts, Texas, Arizona, Michigan, Washington, and finally his beloved Idaho.
John was an engineer, businessman, manager, private pilot, hunter, marksman, and lived the American dream to the fullest.
Uncommonly capable with his hands, he remodeled his Sandpoint home and selectively logged the property over the years with Marge, loved to RV to national parks, and enjoyed being a grandparent.
John is survived by his wife, Marge, daughter, Susie, of Seattle, and her husband, Don, and Grandsons, Brenton and Trevor. John was admired and respected by all those he influenced worldwide but chose to end his time in quiet dignity and little fanfare.
A quote of Calvin Coolidge was a favorite of John’s and provides a fitting epitaph: “Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful people with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb……..”
Memorial donations may be made to Bonner Community Hospice or Panhandle Animal Shelter.

Steven Jackson Guthrie, 51, beloved teacher and community member, passed away, Tuesday, March 20, 2007 in Sagle, Idaho.
Memorial services will be held at 3:00 pm, Sunday, March 25, 2007 at the Sandpoint Middle School with Pastor Steve Nickodemus of Christ Our Redeemer Lutheran Church officiating. A potluck reception will follow the service at the high school commons area.
Steve was born in Pocatello, Idaho on March 1, 1956 to William and Jacqueline Guthrie.
He grew up in Idaho, California, and Colorado.
After graduation he attended the University of Colorado.
On August 14, 1983 he married Heather Daleen in Niwot, CO.
The couple moved to North Idaho and built their home in the mountains near the town of Sagle.
Steve taught school at Sagle Elementary, were he was well liked and respected by students, staff, and the community.
During the summer months he owned and operated Pend Oreille Landscapes.
Steve loved the outdoors and spent time fishing, hiking, skiing, hunting, and camping.
He is survived by his wife, Heather Guthrie of Sandpoint, ID; son, John Guthrie attending Western State College in Gunnison, CO; two daughters, Isabelle and Olivia Guthrie of Sandpoint, ID; three brothers, Bill Guthrie of Macao, China, Mike (Pam) Guthrie of Littleton, CO and Rick (Sally) Guthrie of Austin, TX; sister, Beth Guthrie of Lewiston, ID and five nieces and nephews, Alexander, Kate, Sarah, Lilly, and Jack.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial donations may be made in Steve’s name to accounts at Well’s Fargo and Mountain West Banks.

Homer I. Price, Jr. (Jay) lost his courageous fight with cancer Monday, June 25.
He passed away quietly and at peace at his home in Sagle, Idaho.
At his request, there will be a wake held at his home on Monday, July 2 at 4 p.m.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
Jay was born on Dec. 25, 1943, in Waco, Texas.
He was the first of three children born to Homer I. and Frances E. Price.
Jay had a varied and interesting life.
He served in the Navy in Viet Nam, worked as a nuclear welder at the Lockheed ship works, was a boat captain and engineer and crab fished in Alaska.
He and Bonnie moved to Sagle in 1998.
While living in northern Idaho, Jay had a small business gating abandoned mines for various government agencies.
He was very active in bat education and conservation and had a booth at the Bonner County Fair for several years, specializing in bat education which earned him the nickname of "BatMan."
Jay was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing and camping.
He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren; especially the camping trips and watching them race their motorcycle and four-wheeler.
He was a remarkable man who was loved and respected by all who knew him.
He will be sincerely missed by his friends and family.
Jay was preceded in death by his father, Homer I. Price, Sr.
He is survived by his mother, Frances Husted; his wife, Bonnie Arnold Price, step-daughter and son-in-law, Stefanie and Dennis Gmeiner; two sons, Vincent Price and Marcus Hays, two grandchildren, Corey and Kortenie Gmeiner; his sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Dick Ays; and brother, Larry Price.

Heavenly Sativa Lowery, infant daughter of Chris and Joy-Anna (Tifft) Lowery, passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2007 in Sandpoint, Idaho.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, February 6, 2007 at the Lakeview Funeral Home.
Burial will follow at the Pack River Cemetery.
Heavenly was born at Bonner General Hospital on November 15, 2006.
She brought two months of joy and happiness to her family.
She will be dearly loved and missed.
She is survived by her parents, Christopher and Joy-Anna (Tifft) Lowery of Sandpoint, ID; grandparents, Ed and Debora Tifft of Sandpoint, ID, Teresa Lowery of Kennewick, WA and John Lowery of Frost, TX; great-grandparents, Erma Tifft of Sandpoint, ID, Bonnie Lowery of Frost, TX, Merlin and Dorothy Smith of Pasco, WA, Wilma Baker of Libby, MT and Barbara Dingman of Rathdrum, ID; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her great-grandfathers Edmond Tifft, and Howard Dingman, great-great-grandmother Hazel Allen, two infant sisters and one brother. Lakeview Funeral Home in Sandpoint is handling the arrangements.
