Jennifer Moser

Jennifer K. Moser, 32, Chubbuck, died early Sunday morning, April 5, 2009 at her home from a lingering illness.

She was born June 14, 1976 in Pocatello, Idaho to Billy J. and Pamela K. Garrett Moser.

She attended and graduated from Highland High School in 1997.

Jennifer was involved with Special Olympics starting with track and later moving to swimming.

She loved to swim and travel with her parents.

Two of her favorite places were Disney World and Disneyland.

Jennifer was a very loving person and there was never a person that she met that she didn’t like.

She always had a hug and a big smile for everyone.

Jennifer is survived by her parents, Billy J. and Pamela K.. Moser, Chubbuck; one brother, Jeffrey (Whitney) Moser; one sister Marsha Smith Moser; grandmother, Helen Moser, Pocatello; nieces, Kaylee and Preslee Moser, Chloe and Maggie Smith and nephew Noah Smith.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, James B. and Connie Garrett, grandpa, Bill Moser and uncle, Mike Moser.

Funeral services will be held Friday, April 10, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the Cornelison Funeral Chapel, 431 North 15th Ave., Pocatello.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the Cornelison Funeral Home.

Interment will follow services in Mountain View Cemetery.

Bill Fleming

William 'Bill' Fleming, 94, Chubbuck, died Saturday evening, April 4, 2009 at a local heallthcare center.

He was born on December 21, 1914 to Basil and Nellie Jones Fleming at Pocatello, Idaho.

Bill attended schools in Pocatello, graduating from Pocatello High School in 1933. He married Lora Guyaz on June 14, 1940.

Bill was employed for 37 years as a Service Supervisor for the Eastern Division of Idaho Power Co.

Bill was and avid photographer and was active in the Pocatello Camera Club for many years.

He enjoyed traveling after his retirement.He is survived by Lora Guyaz Fleming, his wife of 68 years, one son Henry Fleming of Fresno CA, daughters Carol Burr of Clifton Park NY, and Adele Fleming of Pocatello, four grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and his sister Betty Morgan in Arizona.

He is preceded in death by his parents Basil Fleming and Nellie Jones Fleming, both of Pocatello.

The family will receive friends from 9:30-10:30 A.M. on Friday morning, April 10, 2009 in the Cornelison Funeral Home, 431 North 15th Ave. Pocatello.

Lois Hanson

Lois Hanson, 77, Chubbuck, died Saturday morning, April 4, 2009 at a local health care center

Lois was born on January 20, 1932 to Horace W. and Nina Pearl Burch Todd at Poplar, Montana, where she attended and graduated from High School.

She also attended school in Tacoma, Washington.

Lois married James Hanson on March 16, 1949 at Martin City, Montana.

He preceded her in death on July 10, 1984.

She was employed as an Office Manager for Professional Adjustment Bureau and also was a reception/secretary for the Lab at Bannock Memorial Hospital (Pocatello Regional Medical Center).

Lois loved Crocheting, reading and enjoyed her garden.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

Lois is survived by a son, Todd (Rina) Hanson, Alavardo, Minnesota and a daughter, Lori Lee (Verlin) Kingston, Lava Hot Springs. 9 Grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson.

A brother, Arnie (Beulah) Todd, Twin Falls. Three sisters, Norma Chaney, Malta, Montana; Nellie Ellis, Pocatello and Dora (Gary) Thorton, Filer, Idaho.

Besides her husband she was preceded in death by a brother, Wesley Todd, brother-in-laws, E.J. Chaney, Clarence Ellis, Maynard Hanson and a sister-in-law Katherine Traxler.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. in Restlawn Memorial Gardens, Pocatello.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 2:45 p.m. at the Cornelison Funeral Home, 431 N. 15th Ave., Pocatello on Tuesday.

Gary Smith

Gary L. Smith, 73, Pocatello, died Friday morning, April 3, 2009 at a local healthcare center.

Memorial services will be announced at a later date.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Cornelison Funeral Home, 431 N. 15th Ave., Pocatello.

Ethel Thompson

Ethel Faye Thompson, 96, Chubbuck, died Friday morning, April 3, 2009 at a local care center.

She was born November 1, 1912 at Tucumcari, New Mexico to Faye Tiller and Sarah Roberta York Shipp.

She married Merlin George Thompson January 12, 1945.

He preceded her in death February 1974.

Ethel retired from Mountain Bell in 1973.

She typed brail for the blind, was a Girl Scout leader, First Aid Instructor, Camp Counselor and enjoyed painting and crafts.

Ethel was Christian in her belief.

She is survived by a daughter, Carlene McDougal of Chubbuck; 5 grandchildren, Nichole Binggeli, Erin Binggeli, Daphne Nortker, Dan Durbin, and David Durbin; and 7 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a sister, and a daughter, Claudia Durbin.

The family will receive friends from 6-7pm Tuesday evening, April 7, 2009 in the Cornelison Funeral Home, 431 N. 15th Ave., Pocatello.

Memorials may be given to the Bannock Humane Society.

Michael Jones

Michael Thomas Jones, 35, Pocatello, died Wednesday evening, April 1, 2009 at his home.

He was born November 23, 1973 in Pocatello, Idaho to Robert E. Jones and Marsh Howell Blalock.

He worked as a sheet rock finisher. He enjoyed dirt bike riding, motorcycles, camping, cook outs and association with his many friends.

He was known as a jokester. Michael was very mindful of his mother, who is a single mom and a great brother.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

He is survived by his mother, Marsha Blalock, Pocatello; one brother, Kirk (Mary) Orison, Pocatello; his special girl friend, Bridgett, best friend Tony Henley; numerous cousins, several aunts and one uncle.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Thomas and Donna Howell.

Memorial services will be held Monday, April 6, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. in the Cornelison Funeral Chapel, 431 North 15th Ave., Pocatello.

The family will greet friends on hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Monday.

Cremation has been completed.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Cornelison Funeral Home, 431 N. 15th Ave., Pocatello.

Myrla Peck

Myrla Peck, 78, Pocatello, died Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at a local care center.

She was born August 20, 1930 to Albert and Fama Kunz.

She married Glen Peck Sr., July 9, 1963.

He preceded her in death October 4, 1993.

Myrla worked as a waitress for Fred’s Café in downtown Pocatello for many years.

She also worked for School District 25 as a cafeteria worker.

She loved her dogs and spending time with her great grandchildren and family.

She also enjoyed traveling and cooking.

She was a member of the Calvary Alliance Church.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Maxine (Brian) Fenwick of Big Sandy, Texas and LuAnne Anderson and Robert Cutshall of Boise, Idaho; grandchildren, Tara (Lance) Borstelman and Ryan Anderson; and great grandchildren, Colton and Alex Rosa.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers, and sisters.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 4, 2009 at 2:00 pm in the Cornelison Funeral Chapel, 431 N. 15th Ave., Pocatello.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to services Saturday in the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Bannock Humane Society.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Cornelison Funeral Home, 431 N. 15th Ave., Pocatello.

Mick DeWall

Mick DeWall, 75, Pocatello, died Saturday afternoon, March 28, 2009, at the Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, Utah.

He was born on April 10, 1933, at Castlewood, South Dakota.

Mick graduated from Morgan High School in Morgan, Utah.

He married Carol Redden on July 25, 1952, at Devils Slide, Utah.

Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake L.D.S. Temple on February 9, 1953.

Mick was the Founder of DeWall Construction Company, working in residential, commercial, and restoration construction in both Idaho and Utah for 56 years.

He enjoyed working on his home and yard, and especially loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mick had been supported by an LVAD (Artificial Heart) for over four and a half years.

He kept busy doing office work each day to assist his two sons, Derk and Greg, who will be carrying on his construction company.

Mick is survived by his wife Carol; a daughter, Karen DeWall Shaw; three sons, Kevin (Cheri) DeWall; Derk (Deena) DeWall and Greg (Char) DeWall all of Pocatello.

Fourteen grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren; two brothers,

Harry DeWall of Pocatello and Kermit DeWall, Olympia, Washington.

He was preceded in death by his mother, father, a brother, mother-in-law and father-in-law.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 4, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the Cornelison Funeral Chapel, 431 North 15th Ave. Pocatello with Mark DeWall, a grandson, conducting.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7-9 p.m. and from 10 a.m. until services Saturday in the Cornelison Funeral Home.

Burial will be in the Mountain View Cemetery, Pocatello.

Memorial donations in Mick's memory may be given to the Utah Artificial Heart Program in care of the Portneuf Heath Care Foundation, 850 East Young Street, Pocatello, Idaho 83201.
