Steven E. Ingebrigtsen of Elk Grove Village for 25 years
Private memorial services for Steven E. Ingebrigtsen, 53, will be held at 4 p.m. today, at Grove Memorial Chapel, 1199 S. Arlington Heights Road (three blocks south of Biesterfield Road), Elk Grove Village.
Born in Oak Park, Mr. Ingebrigtsen died Sunday, Feb. 7, 1999, at Alexian Brothers Medical Center.
He was a retired 25-year employee of the Elk Grove Village Police Department, retiring as commander. Mr. Ingebrigtsen was a Marine Corps veteran of the Vietname War, where he received two Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star. He was a member of FOP Lodge #35 and VFW Post 9284, both of Elk Grove Village.
Survivors include his wife, Hilda H. (nee Hubbard); sons, Kyle R. (Michelle) and Jarod E. (Bridget); brothers, James (Janice) Ingebrigtsen, Scott (Brenda) Ingebrigtsen, Robert (Carol) Amundsen and Eric Amundsen; and grandfather of Tyler and Loretta.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions made to the Lutheran Church of St. Luke would be appreciated.

Mae Kazda of Grayslake
A memorial service for Mae Kazda, 96, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, Ltd., 410 E. Belvidere Road, Grayslake.
Born Dec. 8, 1902, in Chicago, she passed away Sunday, Feb. 7, 1999, at ManorCare Nursing Facility in Libertyville. Interment will be private.
Mrs. Kazda was a resident of Grayslake in the Saddlebrook Farms community.
Survivors include her daughters, Shirley LaBarbera of Des Plaines and Lois Bonafede of Saddlebrook Farms; grandchildren, Bonnie LaBarbera, Linda (Kip) Krause, Carla LaBarbera, Dusty (Roberta) LaBarbera and Sandy Revis; and six great-grandchildren. Mae also leaves behind many loving and caring friends at Saddlebrook Farms.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Otto Kazda.

Vernon W. Kolberg of Elgin
Services for Vernon W. Kolberg, 77, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, at O'Connor & Homeier Funeral Home, 364 Division St., Elgin.
Born June 4, 1911, in Crystal Lake, he died Monday, Feb. 8, 1999, at Provena St. Joseph Hospital, Elgin. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
Mr. Kolberg was retired from Elgin Corrugated Box. A veteran, he had served in the Marine Corps during World War II and was a member of the Elgin VFW.
Survivors include his son, Guy Kolberg of Sun Prairie, Wis.; daughters, Paula (Kurtis) Roweof Farmington Hills, Mich., Janis Kolberg of Crystal Lake, Roberta (Joachin) Ciasto of Crystal Lake, Carol (Thomas) Bennett of Mission Viejo, Calif., and Kathleen (Robert Duffy) Kolberg of Elgin; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and two sisters.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today, at the funeral home.

William Little III of Glenview
A memorial service for William Little III, will be held at 1:30 p.m. today, at Glenview Community Church, 1000 Elm St., Glenview. The Rev. Dr. Thomas G. Nordberg will officiate.
Born Aug. 23, 1923, in White Plains, N. Y., the son of William Jr. and Mathilde (nee Marcone) Little, he died Sunday, Feb. 7, 1999, at home.
He served in the Army 138th Engineer Combat Battalion during World War II. A resident of Glenview since 1949, he founded and managed several companies in the printing industry.
During this time, he was awarded more than 25 patents related to electronic color processes.
William was a member of Glenview Community Church and served as a leader of Boy Scout Troop 156 for many years. In 1972, she was awarded the Silver Beaver Award for outstanding service to scouting.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Juliet (nee Todd), whom he married on Oct. 19, 1946; sons, William IV (Coradel) of Palatine, Lincoln (Violetta) of Columbus, Ind. and Todd (Sally) of Palatine; daughter, Katharine Adamo of Hopewell Junction, N. Y.; and grandchildren, Jennifer, William V, Kelsey, Sara, Scott, James and Juliet.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Glenview Community Church or Boy Scout Troop 156 at the church.

Theresa R. Mautone of Schaumburg
Prayers for Theresa R. Mautone (nee Piccolo), will be said at 10:15 a.m. Thursday, at Salerno's Rosedale Chapels, 450 W. Lake St. (3/4 mile west of Bloomingdale/Roselle Rd.), Roselle.
Mass will follow at 11:15 a.m. at St. Walter Church. Interment will be in Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
She was the beloved wife of Phillip; devoted mother of Ralph (Carol) and Matt (Diane) Mautone; dear sister of James (Vita) Piccolo, Jean (Gus) Nikopoulos and Alice (Glenn) Weaver; fond grandmother of Phyllis (Steve) Pometta, R. J., Annaand Matthew Mautone; and great-grandmother of Alyssa.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today, at the funeral chapel.

Thomas L. McSorely of Grayslake
Services for Thomas L. McSorely, 68, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, at Strang Funeral Chapel and Crematorium, Ltd., 410 E. Belvidere Rd Grayslake. Pastor William Kruger will officiate.
Born Aug. 13, 1930, in Victor, Mo., he died Monday, Feb. 8, 1999, at Condell Medical Center in Libertyville. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. McSorely had been a resident of Grayslake for thepast seven years, formerly of Wildwood for more than 27 years. He retired in 1979 from U. S. Steel in Waukegan, where he was employed in quality control. After retirement, he was employed at Freund International Company in Libertyville and Decorel Company in Mundelein. He was a member of Calvary Christian Center in Lake Villa and the Steel Workers Retiree Club.
Survivors include his loving wife, Jean, whom he married on Dec. 9, 1950, in Cicero; daughters, Cynthia Lind of Antioch and Patricia (Tim) Grubbs of Pickerington, Ohio; son, Thomas L. (Rita) McSorely Jr. of Manassas, Va.; sister, Carol (Jim) Cooper of Nashville, N. C.; brother, Virgil McSorely of Portage, Ind.; several nieces and nephews; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Stella McSorely; and sisters, Betty Skaggs, Evelyn Long and Dolores Tubbs.
Friends of the family may visit from 6 to9 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral chapel.

Carol J. Milzer of Libertyville
Services for Carol J. Milzer (nee Hansen), 55, will be held at 6 p.m. today, at Salata Gurnee Funeral Home, 4190 Old Grand Ave., Gurnee.
Born Nov. 14, 1943, in New Britain, Conn., she died Friday, Feb. 5, 1999, at Condell Medical Center in Libertyville.
Interment will be private.
A resident of Libertyville for the past 35 years, Mrs. Milzer was employed at the Sara Lee Corporation in Arlington Heights for the past 20 years. She was an active Girl Scout leader in Libertyville and Mundelein and an avid Green Bay Packer fan. She loved all types of music and was a gifted pianist in her own right.
Survivors include her husband, Bill Milzer; daughters, Kathy Milzer of Racine, Wis., and Beth (Mark) Greenfield of Lake Villa; grandson, Ryan Dunk; mother, Ruth Hansen of Argonne, Wis.; and brother, Craig (Sue) Hansen of Stevens Point, Wis.
She was preceded in deathby her father, Philip Hansen.
Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until the time of services at 6 p.m. today, at the funeral home.

Stanley Nicpon of Schaumburg
A funeral Mass for Stanley Nicpon, 84, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, at Church of the Holy Spirit, 1451 Bode, Schaumburg. He will lie in state from 9:30 a.m. until the time ofthe Mass.
Born Aug. 27, 1914, in Chicago, he died Saturday, Feb. 6, 1999, at St. Alexius Medical Center. Cremation will be private.
He was the husband of Jennie Nicpon (nee Sitkiewicz); father of Rita (Rick) Tempinson; grandfather of Tracey Gugliotti and Stacey (Dan) Corcoran; brother of Richard and the late Helen, Florian and John; and godfather of Carol.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today, at Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 1640 Greenmeadows Blvd. (at Barrington Rd.), Streamwood/ Schaumburg.

Fred R. Palma Sr. of Glen Ellyn

Mr. Palma died Monday, Feb. 8, 1999, at Good SamaritanHospital in Downers Grove. Interment will be in Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
A 39-year resident of Glen Ellyn, he was the beloved husband of 51 years of Rose M.; dear father of Francine M. D. (James) Long, Rosemarie (Lee) Pierce, Emily (Ed) Marx, Fred (Rhonda) and Teresa (Michael) Kotch; loving grandfather of Michelle (Brant) Botterman, TiffaniePierce, Julie and Christopher Long, Jessica Marx, Jennifer, Deanna and Freddie Palma and Joey Kotch; fond brother of Don (Jackie) Palma and Marie (Steve) Koval; dear brother-in-law of Ralph (Maria) Mamolella and Betty (late Frank) Mamolella and Emily (late Cornelius) Gallagher; fond uncle of many; and good friend of Tim Bowron.

Irving C. Rateike of Des Plaines
Services for Irving C. Rateike will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Lee and Thacker Streets, Des Plaines, where he will lie in state from 10 a.m. untilthe time of services.
Born May 30, 1916, in Wheeling, he died Monday, Feb. 8, 1999, at Oakton Pavillion. Burial will be in Ridgewood Cemetery, Des Plaines.
A resident of Des Plaines for 70 years, Mr. Rateike had served as an alderman for 12 years and was the City of Des Plaines treasurer for four years.
He was the co-owner of the Kenny Company until 1962 and had worked at Alonge Modern Appliance until 1987.
Mr. Rateike was a member of the Mount Prospect VFW, the Des Plaines Lions Club, from whom he received the Melvin Jones Award, the volunteer fire department and Immanuel Lutheran Church, where he belonged to the Men's Club.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Ruth Rateike (nee Grewe); son, Alan (Monica) Rateike of Hanover Park; daughter, Shirley Rateike of Evanston; grandchildren, Kathrin and Tracy Rateike, and Christopher, Grant and Tiffany Myers; brothers, Leonard (the late Hilda) Rateike of Arlington Heights and Melvin (Evelyn) Rateike of Palatine; brother-in-law, Norman (Helen) Grewe of Joliet; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Thursday, at Oehler Funeral Home, 555 Lee St., Des. Plaines.
