Hugh S. Robinson of Hampshire
Memorial services for Hugh S. Robinson, 89, formerly of St. Charles and Aurora, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, at Yurs Funeral Home, 405 E. Main St., St. Charles.
Born June 10, 1909, in Aurora, he died Tuesday, Feb. 8, 1999, at Provena St. Joseph Hospital in Elgin. Burial will be private in Huntington, Ind.
Mr. Robinson was a graduate of West Aurora High School and a veteran of the Navy, havingserved during World War II. In 1945, he married Jean Smith in Washington, D. C. He graduated from the University ofChicago with a bachelor's degree in engineering, and in 1959, he started his own metal fabricating company, Robinson Manufacturing of St.
Charles, which he owned for more than 10 years.
He is survived by his children, Julia Weber of Lake Carroll, Ill.; Jean Rogers (John Putz) of Hampshire, Stuart (Chris) of Barrington, Steven of Hampshire and Elizabeth Freund of Oklahoma City, Okla.; brothers, Rodrick of San Francisco, Calif. and Boone (Helene) of San Diego, Calif.; 18 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jean, in 1960; his second wife, Evelyn, in 1989; and his parents, Rodney and Maude Robinson.
There will not be a visitation.

Mary A. Rodelli of Rolling Meadows
Prayers for Mary A. Rodelli (nee Menle), 90, will be said at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, at Lauterburg and Oehler Funeral Home, 2000 E. Northwest Hwy., Arlington Heights. Mass will follow at 10 a.m. at St. Colette Church, 3900 Meadow Dr., Rolling Meadows.
Born June 14, 1908, she died Tuesday, Feb. 9, 1999, at Northwest Community Healthcare, Arlington Heights. Entombment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, River Grove.
She was the wife of the late John B.; mother of John R. (Valerie) Rodelli of Barrington Hills and Charmaine A. Stagno of Rolling Meadows; sister of Amatore (Donna) Menle of Addison, and the late John Menle, Albina Zaccaria, Philomena Colucci, Rose Tiesi and Josephine Menle; and grandmother of Cindy Stagno, Michelle Smith, Thomas Rodelli and Daniel Rodelli.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today, at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Sisters of St. Joseph Retirement Fund, 1515 W. Ogden, LaGrange Park, IL 60526.

Clare Roth of Naperville
Services for Clare Roth (nee Deatrick), 48, will be held 1 p.m. today, at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville.
Born Sept. 20, 1950, in Chicago, she died Sunday, Feb. 7, 1999, at Edward Hospital in Naperville. Interment will be private.
Currently employed with Lucent Technology, she is survived by her husband, Mark; children, Lindsey and Jason of Naperville; parents, John and Angie Deatrick of Naperville; brother, John (Fern) Deatrick of Bolingbrook; sister, Karen (Dale) Anderson of Aurora; mother-in-law, Carolyn Roth of Willowbrook; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father-in-law, James Roth.
Memorials to her children's college education, would be appreciated.

Barbara A. Showalter of Mount Prospect
Mass of Christian Burial for Barbara A. Showalter (nee Kennedy), 65, will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, at St. Cecilia Church, Mount Prospect.
Born Oct. 10, 1933, she died Monday, Feb. 8, 1999. Interment will be in All Saints Cemetery.
Mrs. Showalter was a private English tutor. She loved reading, traveling, playing games and golfing , and animals.
She is survived by her loving husband of 28 years, William A. Showalter Sr.; sons, William A. Jr. (Dee), Daniel B. and Edward (Eileen) Showalter; daughters, Alicia (Matthew) Showalter Honnert and Frances (Larry) Showalter Evans; daughter-in-law, Rose (William) Showalter Patterson; brother, Ralph Kennedy; grandchildren, William A. III and Carolyn Showalter, Charles Showalter, Bradley Patterson, Andrew and Christopher Honnert, Ryan and Austin Evans, Meghan and Kelley Showalter, and Daniel J. Showalter (godson); two loving cousins, Catherine Higgins and Frances Lally; and her dearest friend, Mary Anne Banks.
She was preceded in death by her son, Charles A. Showalter.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Thursday, at Lauterburg and Oehler Funeral Home, 2000 E. Northwest Hwy., Arlington Heights.

Eunice Elizabeth Speer of Elgin
Funeral services for Eunice Elizabeth Speer, 88, formerly of Hanover, Ill., will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, at the Hanover United Presbyterian Church in Hanover.
Born Sunday, Aug. 14, 1910, on the Edgerton family farm near Hanover to Frank and Elizabeth (nee Steele) Edgerton, she died Monday, Feb. 8, 1999, at the Apostolic Christian Resthaven in Elgin. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Hanover.
Eunice was a 1928 graduate of Hanover High School and a 1929 graduate of Browns Business College in Freeport, Ill. She married Albert Henry Noton on May 22, 1930 in Hanover, and he preceded her in death on Sept. 25, 1941. She later married J. Leslie Speer on Nov. 25, 1945, in Hanover. He died November 10, 1978.
From 1930 to 1934, Eunice was a secretary to the president of Swiss Colony in Monroe, Wis., and was a bookkeeper from 1941 to 1946 at the Hanover WoolenMill. She was a member of the Hanover United Presbyterian Church, where she was one of the first women Elders. Shewas a charter member of the Apple River Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Eunice compiled the Gillespie-Steele family genealogy. She loved her family, church, and working in her flower garden she planted every spring.
Survivors include her daughter, Dr. Jean `Betty' N. (Takashi) Dodohara of Elgin; sons, Albert H. (Lois) Noton of Fullerton, Calif. and Ronald E. (Mary Lou) Noton of Tucson, Ariz.; grandchildren, Ted (Linda) Landers, Tom (Mary Ann) Landers, Philip (Pamela) Landers, Stephen (Betsy) Noton, Stacy (Michael) Sweeney, Linda Noton, Dr. Diane (Craig) Fischer, Gail (Joe) Ford and Eve Dodohara; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Lucille Virtue of Endwell, N. Y.; sister-in-law, Vivian Edgerton of Savanna, Ill.; brother-inlaw, Albert Garner of Hanover; and many loving nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her sister, Jessie Garner; and brothers, Earl and Newell Edgerton.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, at Law-Jones Funeral Home, 202 Monroe, in Hanover.

Cecil H. Suter of Deerfield
A funeral Mass for Cecil H. Suter, 70, will be celebrated on Thursday. Friends and family will meet at 10:45 a.m. at Divine Word Chapel, 2001 Waukegan Road in Techny, for Mass at 11 a.m.
Born Feb. 11, 1928, in Clara City, Minn., he died Friday, Feb. 5, 1999, at RML Specialty Hospital in Hinsdale.
Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Techny.
He was the beloved husband of Lois Ann Suter (nee Bruns); loving father of Paul C. (Linda) Suter of Houston, Texas, David C. (Debra) Suter of Palatine, Joel T. (Monica) Suter of Rochester Hills, Mich., Gregory J. Suter of Houston, Anne-Judine (Jon) Knudsen of Park Ridge and Mary Frances (Robert) Wiacek of Grayslake; dear brother of Sr. Judine Suter, OSB, Mary (Milton) Precker, Roseann (Henry) Sechler, Leona(Jim) Behrends-Burns and the late Leo (Katherine) Suter; and cherished grandfather of 11.
Visitation will be from 5to 9 p.m. today, at Hanekamp Funeral Home, 385 Waukegan Road (1/2 mile north of Dundee Road), Northbrook.

Eleanor F. Tomasek of Arlington Heights

Born Nov. 28, 1914, in Chicago, she died Monday, Feb. 8, 1999, at Holy Family Hospital. Burial will be in St. Boniface Cemetery, Chicago.
Mrs. Tomasek was a retired salesperson.
She was the wife of the late Charles; mother of Charles (Diana) and James (Donna) Tomasek; and grandmother of four.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday, at Kolssak Funeral Home, Wheeling, and from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass at 10 a.m., Friday, at the church.

Rex S. Tuttle of Des Plaines

He was the beloved husband of the late Patricia Tuttle (nee Puffer) and the late Francine Tuttle (nee Hupke); loving father of Mark (Kay) Tuttle of Des Plaines, Kim Tuttle of Grayslake and Amy Tuttle of Milwaukee, Wis.; and dear brother of A. Lyle Tuttle of Sun City, Ariz., and R. Bruce Tuttle of Skokie.

He was the beloved husband of Margit Wagner (nee Carlson); loving father of Joseph (Paulette) Wagner, Patricia (Robert) Urquhart and Michelle (Neal) Devitt; proud grandfather of Peter and Jonathan Wagner, Wendy Kunisch, Wayne Geils and Candace Jean; and great-grandfather of Morgan and Sydney.

Lyle Dean Welch of Elgin

Mr. Welch had worked as a machinist for Woodruff and Edwards in Elgin.
Survivors include his wife, Darlene Welch (nee Johnson); sons, Walter Welch of Santa Cruz, Calif., Richard Welch of West Chicago and Ronald Hardin of Carpentersville; daughters, Nora (Guy) Voltz of Bellvue, Ohio, Diane (Mike) Amaral of San Jose, Calif., and Christine Hardin and Joanne (Robert) Guzik, both of Savanna, Ill.; brother, Ronald (Charlotte) Welch of Arkansas; sisters, Marie Mason and Carol Welch, both of Waupun, Wis.; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Rosolina Amodio of Bloomingdale

She was the beloved wife of the late Mario; devoted mother of Antonette and Anthony (Annamarie) Amodio; dear sister of Albert (Catherine) Izzo; fond grandmother of Rosalina, Jason, Mario and Jonathan; and dear aunt of Anthony (Annamarie) Izzo.
