Mr. Kimmel attended the First United Methodist Church, Benton, and was a member of the Franklin County Farm Bureau, Galatia Masonic Lodge, Peoria Ainad Shrine, Scottish Rites Bodies, and the North American Elk Association. He was a former member of the National Fertilizer Solutions Association, Fertilizer Institute, and the Peoria Rotary Club.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Vickie Kimmel Forby, Belleville, Emily Kimmel, Chicago, two grandsons, Jacob and Zachary Kimmel Forby, a brother and sister-in-law, Virgil Glen and Sue Kimmel, Dawson Springs, KY, and two nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association and will be accepted at the funeral home.
TIM E. DREW
Shippensburg, Pa. - Tim E. Drew, 43, died Friday, June 13, 2003 in his home.
He was born Sept. 25, 1959 in Benton, a son of Mary L. Wilkinson Drew of Lewisburg and the late Raymond Drew.
In his life, he attended Golden Senior High School and the Community College of Denver. He served with the U.S. Coast Guard from 1977 to 1981 in California, Alaska, Kentucky and Tennessee.
Mr. Drew was a member of the International Union of Elevator Constructors for 18 years before accepting a management position with Otis Elevator in Harrisburg (Pa.). His most recent position was territory operations manager for South Central Pennsylvania.
He enjoyed watching cartoons with the kids, all types of sporting events, going to Ocean City, Md. and making weekend trips to State College.
Mr. Drew is survived by his wife, Laralyn Durange Drew; two sons Justin M. Drew, Lewisburg, Alexander C. Joy, at home; five daughters, Angela G. Drew, Lewisburg, Megan L. Drew, Lewisburg, Katherine R. Joy, Gianna S. Drew, Carissa B. Drew, all at home; one brother, Tom R. Drew, Lewisburg.
Funeral services will be held Monday, June 16 in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Shippensburg, at 7 p.m., with the Rev. Brian Medkeff-Rose officiating. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Viewing will be Monday from 6-7 p.m. in the funeral home.

Benton - Maggie L. Dial Reed, 74, died at 11:15 a.m. Saturday, June 14, 2003, at St. John's Hospital in Springfield.
She was born in Benton, on Jan. 18, 1929, the daughter of Robert and Amanda (Parrish) Kivett.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Jack Dial. She then married Billie F. Reed and he survives.
Mrs. Reed was of the Church of Christ faith.
She is survived by her husband, Billie F. Reed of Benton; daughter, Judith Renchen and husband Bill of Kankakee; daughter-in-law, Sharon Dial of St. Louis, MO; and by her second marriage three daughters, Beverly Smith of Mt. Vernon, Billie Jean Winemiller of Valier, Lana Garland of West Frankfort; grandchildren, Alex and Jennifer Renchen, Todd and Katherine Renchen, Chad and Christine Renchen, Jack Renchen and fiancee Mary Kay LaRocque; great-grandchildren, Ryan, Hannah and Julia Ann Renchen, Samuel and Gabriel Renchen, Cameron and Devon Renchen; grandchildren by her second marriage, Lindsey Strobel, Chris Southerland, Devon Southerland, Bonnie Jamerson, Billy Dale Jamerson, Tara Carr, Athena Garland, Brandy Levine, Alysus Jamerson and Shawn Levine; two sisters, Dessie Knight of Crete, Virgie Harmon of Kankakee.
Mrs. Reed was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, one son, Dennis Dial, one granddaughter, Wendy, one great-grandson, Mason, one sister, Nelma Kent and by two brothers, Leon Kivett and Charles Kivett.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 18, at the Morton & Johnston Funeral Home in Benton, with the Rev. Ron Griffin officiating. Burial will be in the Cartwright Cemetery, McLeansboro. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday to the funeral home.

Mulkeytown - Rasie Killgrove, 83, died at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 14, 2003, in Severin's Intermediate Care, Benton.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 18, at the Gilbert Funeral Home, Christopher. Burial will be in the Mulkeytown Cemetery. Friends may call after 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 17, to the funeral home.
Mrs. Killgrove was born on May 25, 1920, in Christopher, the daughter of Thomas E. and Bessie (Hammonds) Hicks. She was married to Gervaine (Scotty) Killgrove, who died Aug. 23, 2001.
She was a retired certified nurses aide, who had worked at Redwood Manor in Sesser, Fair Acres in Du Quoin and Miners Hospital in Christopher.
Survivors include two sons, Terry Killgrove of Mulkeytown, Jack Killgrove of Lady Lake, Fla; one daughter, Marilyn McCutheon, Mt. Vernon; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Sammy Hicks of Christopher.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one daughter, Geraldine Jones.
BRENDA KAY HOLT
Macedonia - Brenda Kay Holt, 59, died at 11 p.m. Friday, June 13, 2003, in Barnes Jewish Hospital, St. Louis.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 17, at the Gilbert Funeral Home, Christopher with Brother George Marshall officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Sesser. Friends may call after 6 p.m. on Monday, June 16.
Mrs. Holt was born on April 17, 1944, in Besoco, West Virginia, the daughter of Russell and Bessie (Pickett) Daugherty. She was married to Troy Holt and he survives.
She was a homemaker and had worked at Turco in Du Quoin.
In addition to her husband, Troy, she is survived by two daughters, Joyce Clancy and Judy Holt, both of Benton; one son, Brian Holt of Macedonia; three sisters, Anna Vandeveire of Davis Junction, Sue Renneisen, Sacramento, Calif, Retha Border, Murphysboro; four brothers, Jim Daugherty, San Antonio, Tx, Larry Daugherty of Mulkeytown, Frank Daugherty of Loves Park Clark Daugherty Willingboro, New Jersey.
Her parents, two brothers and two sisters also preceded her in death.
WALTER C. JOHNSON
Benton - Walter Carleton Johnson, 84, died at 9:21 p.m. Sunday, June 15, 2003 at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.
Walter's wishes were to be cremated. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. Hobbs-Johnson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Johnson was born June 26, 1918 in Benton, the son of William Blueford Johnson and Irna Walton (Webb) Johnson. He married the former Beulah Ruth Robinson on Jan. 16, 1943 and she survives.
Walter was a 1935 graduate of Benton High School. He received his undergraduate degree from Southern Illinois University and received his Juris Doctorate degree in 1942 from the St. Louis University School of Law.
He served his country during World War II in the Army Air Corps. After the war, he returned to Benton and joined the law firm of Layman, Johnson and Johnson. He retired in 1976 after a career of 25 years as a special agent with the FBI with service in Buffalo, NY, Philadelphia, Pa., and St. Louis, Mo.. He was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church, Elks, and "Liar's" Club, all of Benton.
In addition to his wife he is survived by two daughters, Ann Moody and husband Jim, Vienna, VA, Jane Webb Kuba and husband Roger, Westfield, Ind., two sons, Eric R. Johnson and partner Mitch Millner, St. Louis, Mo., William B. Johnson and wife Debbie, Florissant, Mo., four grandchildren, Kyle and Connor Kuba, Sarah and Adam Moody, three step-grandchildren, Allisan and husband Lenny Impellizzeri, Tim and Carrie Quinn, four nieces, Mary Sue Zimmerman, Jan Wheat, Tracy Oliver, and Sandra Timmons, and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, George and Judi Robinson, Marion Co., Fla.
Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Webb Johnson, a sister-in-law, Martha "Sis" Johnson, and a nephew, William Ward Johnson.
