SAVOY – Funeral services for Thorne L. "Deak" Matteson, 90, of Savoy will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Road, U. The Rev. Chris Von Holten will officiate. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens, Champaign.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Mr. Matteson died at 4:05 p.m. Friday (May 12, 2000) at The Carle Arbours, Savoy.

Charles Nelson

URBANA – Funeral services for Charles W. Nelson, 92, of Urbana will be at a later date. Burial will be in Potomac cemetery, Potomac.

Mittendorf-Calvert Funeral Home, Champaign, is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Nelson died Friday (May 12, 2000) at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

David Overcast

CHAMPAIGN – Funeral services for David M. Overcast, 46, of Champaign will be announced at a later date. Owens Funeral Home, Champaign, is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Overcast died at 6:10 p.m. Thursday (May 11, 2000) at home.

Sylvester Smith

CLINTON – Sylvester Smith, 82, of Clinton died at 8:45 a.m. Saturday (May 13, 2000) at Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Danville.

Funeral arrangements were incomplete at Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton.

Betty Westbay

DECATUR – Betty J. Westbay, 77, of Salina, Okla., formerly of Decatur, died at 10 p.m. Friday (May 12, 2000) at her family's home in Salina.

Funeral arrangements were incomplete at Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton.

Andrew White

VANDALIA – Andrew C. "Bud" White, 75, of Vandalia died at 7:35 a.m. Friday (May 12, 2000) at home.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Mother of Dolors Catholic Church, 322 N. Seventh St., Vandalia. The Rev. Stephen Sotiroff and the Rev. Robert Porter will officiate. Burial with military rites will be in Fairlawn Catholic cemetery, Vandalia.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Hohlt & File Funeral Home, Vandalia, with a prayer service at 6 p.m.

Thomas Burke

CHARLESTON – Thomas M. Burke, 78, of Charleston died Thursday (May 18, 2000) at his home.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Adams Funeral Chapel, 2330 Shawnee Drive, Charleston. The Rev. Rebecca Turner will officiate. Burial will be in Mound cemetery, Charleston.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

HAWBUCK – Maude Blakeney, 88, of Hawbuck died at 10:48 a.m. Thursday (May 18, 2000) in Chrisman.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Lakeside-Urbas Funeral Home, 135 N. West St., Westville. Burial will be in Sandusky cemetery, Westville.

Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

H. Milton Butler

ARCOLA – Funeral services for H. Milton Butler, 75, of Arcola will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Arcola United Methodist Church, 121 S. Locust St., Arcola. The Rev. Margaret Misal will officiate. Burial will be in Arcola cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Shrader Funeral Home, 204 N. Locust St., Arcola.

Mr. Butler died at 12:30 a.m. Thursday (May 18, 2000) at Arcola Health Care Center.

Marc Campbell

MANHATTAN, Kan. – Marc Alan Campbell, 46, of Manhattan died May 10, 2000, at home.

Funeral services were May 16 at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, Fort Wayne, Ind.

Burial was in Bunnel cemetery, Frankfort, Ind. Yorgensen-Meloan-Londeen Funeral Home handled arrangements in Manhattan, Kan.

ST. JOSEPH – Norma L. Clapp, 85, of St. Joseph died at 5 p.m. Wednesday (May 17, 2000) at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Freese Funeral Home, 302 E. Grand Ave., St. Joseph. Elder James Harris will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Olive cemetery, Mayview.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

LANSING – Emily J. Gregg, 85, of Lansing died Wednesday (May 17, 2000) at Munster, Ind.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home, 3227 Ridge Road, Lansing. The Rev. Stewart Pattison will officiate. Burial will be at 5 p.m. Friday in Ash Grove cemetery, southeast of Windsor.

Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

LODA – Stanley W. Lawrence, 35, of Loda died at 9:31 a.m. Wednesday (May 17, 2000) at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

Mr. Lemke died at 7:48 p.m. Monday (May 15, 2000) at home.

Mrs. Luckhardt died at 5 p.m. Wednesday (May 17, 2000) at Provena Covenant Medical Center, Urbana.

DANVILLE – Ella M. Montgerard, 88, of Danville died at 6:57 p.m. Thursday (May 18, 2000) at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center, Logan campus, Danville.
