SAVOY – Robert Loverde, 68, of Savoy died at 8:20 p.m. Monday (Sept. 25, 2000) at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

Funeral arrangements were pending at Heath & Vaughn Funeral Home, 201 N. Elm St., C.

Mildred McConkey

CHAMPAIGN – Funeral services for Mildred McConkey, 82, of San Antonio, formerly of Champaign, will be at 1 p.m. Friday at St. John Lutheran Church, 509 S. Mattis, C. The Rev. James Wright will officiate.

Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens, Champaign.

Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Friday at the church. Heath and Vaughn and Funeral Home, Champaign, is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. McConkey, died Sunday morning (Sept. 24, 2000) at her daughter's home in San Antonio.

Emma Mikel

WESTVILLE – Emma Mikel, 75, of Westville died at 9:14 a.m. Tuesday (Sept. 26, 2000) at Champaign County Nursing Home, Urbana.

Funeral arrangements were incomplete at Wolfe Funeral Home, Westville.

Betty Nelson

DANVILLE – Betty M. Nelson, 76, of Danville died at 8:15 p.m. Monday (Sept. 25, 2000) at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center, Logan campus, Danville.

Funeral arrangements were incomplete at Leek & Sons Funeral Home, Danville.

Paul Richards

MARBLE FALLS, Texas – Paul Leland Richards, 87, of Marble Falls, Texas, formerly of Champaign and Charleston, died at 1:30 p.m. Sept. 4, 2000, at home.

Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home, Marble Falls, Texas, handled arrangements.

Fyrne Sansone

CHAMPAIGN – Graveside services for Fyrne Sansone, 99, of Champaign will be at 3:15 p.m. Friday in St. Mary's cemetery, Champaign. The Rev. Donald R. Henderson will officiate.

Visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m. Friday at Owens Funeral Home, 101 N. Elm St., C.

Mrs. Sansone died at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday (Sept. 26, 2000) at Hilltop Nursing Home, Charleston.

Maudie Shipman

URBANA – Maudie Hefley Shipman, 93, of 803 E. Fairlawn Drive, U, died at 8:40 a.m. Tuesday (Sept. 26, 2000) in Pesotum.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Road, U. The Rev. Bob Hassel will officiate. Burial will be in the GAR cemetery, Homer.

Visitation will be for an hour before services Friday at the funeral home.

Emery Slavik

WESTVILLE – Emery Slavik, 80, of Westville died at 3:45 a.m. Tuesday (Sept. 26, 2000) at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 231 N. State St., Westville. The Rev. David Erickson will officiate. Burial will be in Danville National cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Wolfe Funeral Home, 414 S. State St., Westville.

Delyvan Smith

BONDVILLE – Funeral services for Delyvan "Dee" Smith, 47, of Bondville will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Blair-Owens Funeral Home, 102 E. Dunbar St., Mahomet. The Rev. Brent Roberson will officiate.

Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens, Champaign.

Visitation will be for one hour before the services Friday at the funeral home.

Mr. Smith died at 7:50 p.m. Monday (Sept. 25, 2000) at home.

T.W. Smith

CHARLESTON – T.W. "Wes" Smith, 77, of Charleston died Monday (Sept. 25, 2000) at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center, Coles County.

Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Roselawn cemetery, Charleston, with military rites by the Honor Guard of Paul McVey Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1592 of Charleston. The Rev. Clayton Smith and the Rev. Dale Beck will officiate.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Adams Funeral Chapel, 2330 Shawnee Drive, Charleston.

William Smith

URBANA – Funeral services for William Smith, 75, of 1503 E. Florida Ave., U, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the New Hope Church of God in Christ, 911 W. Bradley Ave., C. Elder Jerome Chambers will officiate.

Entombment will be in Mount Hope Mausoleum, Champaign.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Twin City Memorial Chapel, 1203 N. Market St., C.

Mr. Smith died at 7:05 p.m. Thursday (Sept. 21, 2000) at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Danville.

Lydia Stahler

TUSCOLA – Lydia E. Stahler, 75, of Tuscola died at 6:50 p.m. Tuesday (Sept. 26, 2000) at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

Funeral arrangements were incomplete at Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 S. Main St., Tuscola.

Leroy White Sr.

CHAMPAIGN – Private family services were held for Leroy White Sr., 78, of Champaign.

Renner-Wikoff Chapel, Urbana, handled arrangements.

Mr. White died at 6:52 p.m. Sunday (Sept. 24, 2000) at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

Mary Boen

DANVILLE – Mary C. Boen, 70, of Danville died at 6:12 a.m. Wednesday (Sept. 27, 2000) at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center, Logan campus, Danville.

Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Sunset Memorial Park, Danville. Raymie Gordon will officiate.

There will be no visitation. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Danville, is in charge of arrangements.

Melvin Cook

CHAMPAIGN – Melvin H. "Hack" Cook, 71, of Champaign died at 11:15 p.m. Tuesday (Sept. 26, 2000) at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Danville.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Road, Urbana. The Rev. Sam Thompson and Gary Gilliam will officiate. Burial with military rites by the VFW Post 5520, Champaign, will be in Woodlawn cemetery, Urbana.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Edward Duray

CLINTON – Edward S. Duray, 94, of Clinton died at 8:15 a.m. Wednesday (Sept. 27, 2000) at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Danville.

Funeral arrangements were incomplete at Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton.
