PAXTON – Pearl F. Glad, 89, of Paxton died at 2 p.m. Wednesday (Sept. 27, 2000) at Heartland Healthcare Center, Paxton.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Knapp-Miller Funeral Home, Paxton. The Rev. John Davenport will officiate. Burial will be in Glen cemetery, Paxton.

RANKIN – Ruth C. King, 81, of Sacramento, Calif., formerly of Rankin, died Tuesday morning (Sept. 26, 2000) at home.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Ford-Baier Funeral Home, 406 E. Pells St., Paxton. Burial will be in the Rankin Union cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

WESTVILLE – A funeral Mass for Emma M. Mikel, 75, of Westville will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 231 N. State St., Westville. The Rev. David Erickson will officiate.
Burial will be in St. Peter and Paul cemetery, Westville.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, with a wake service at 8 p.m., at Wolfe Funeral Home, 414 S. State St., Westville.
Mrs. Mikel died at 9:14 a.m. Tuesday (Sept. 26, 2000) at Champaign County Nursing Home, Urbana.

DANVILLE – Graveside services for Betty M. Nelson, 76, of Danville will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Spring Hill cemetery, Danville. The Rev. Tyson Parks will officiate.

Mrs. Nelson died at 8:15 p.m. Monday (Sept. 25, 2000) at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center, Logan campus, Danville.

Mr. Slavik died at 3:45 a.m. Tuesday (Sept. 26, 2000) at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis.
