ARMSTRONG – Graveside services for John Frank Wertz, 91, of Oklawaha, Fla., formerly of Armstrong and the Urbana area, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Potomac cemetery. The Rev. Anne Ferguson will officiate.

Mr. Wertz died Monday (April 2, 2001) at Ocala Regional Hospital, Ocala, Fla.

NEWMAN – Funeral services for Robert B. Armstrong, 85, of Newman will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Joines Funeral Home, 401 W. Gillogly, Newman. Kevin Nourie will officiate.
Burial will be in Camargo cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Mr. Armstrong died at 1:40 p.m. Monday (April 2, 2001) at Boxwood Healthcare Center, Newman.

NEW BADEN – Funeral services for Michael Eugene Cox, 39, of New Baden, formerly of Arcola and Oakland, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Shrader Funeral Home, 204 N. Locust St., Arcola. Todd Leathermon will officiate.
Burial with military honors by the Scott Air Force Base Honor Guard will be in Arcola cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Mr. Cox died at 5:55 p.m. Monday (April 2, 2001) at home.

PAXTON – Constance L. Crowe, 92, of Paxton died at 9:25 a.m. Tuesday (April 3, 2001) at Heartland Health Care Center, Paxton.
Memorial services will be at a later date.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Drummer Township cemetery, Gibson City. The Rev. Betty Hornbeck will officiate.

NEOGA – Richard Dale Ferguson, 72, of rural Neoga, died Tuesday (April 3, 2001) at his Lake Mattoon home.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Adams Funeral Chapel, 2330 Shawnee Drive, Charleston. The Rev. Pat Murphy will officiate. Military rites by the Honor Guard of Veterans of Foreign Wars Paul McVey Post 1592 of Charleston will be conducted after the services. Interment will be at a later date in Zion Hill cemetery, southwest of Mattoon.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

CLINTON – Zula Gaby, 87, of Clinton, formerly of DeWitt, died at 1:18 a.m. Wednesday (April 4, 2001) at Crestview Nursing Center, Clinton.
Funeral and Rebekah services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Calvert Funeral Home, 201 S. Center St., Clinton. The Rev. C. Don Ferrill and the Rev. Penelope Barber will officiate at the funeral. Burial will be in the DeWitt cemetery.
Visitation will be for one hour before the services Friday at the funeral home.

ST. JOSEPH – Dr. Thurman Hornbuckle II, 48, of St. Joseph died Friday evening (March 30, 2001) at home.
Local memorial services will be at 5 p.m. Monday at the Institute of Religion of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 402 S. Lincoln Ave., U.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Cherokee, N.C. Burial will be in the Hornbuckle Family cemetery, Cherokee.
Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Crisp Funeral Home, Bryson City, N.C., is handling arrangements.

CHRISMAN – No services will be held for Rebecca Sue Jones, 51, of Danville, formerly of Chrisman and Metcalf.
