William Edward Bedurske formerly of Palatine
Services and interment for William Edward Bedurske, 85, of Lake Zurich, will be private.
Born Jan. 26, 1914, in Palatine, Mr. Bedurske died Friday, Feb. 19, 1999, at Lexington Health Care Center in Lake Zurich.
Mr. Bedurske was the founder and owner of Deer Grove Corner which he started in 1933, and operated until his retirement in 1976. He was a World War II Army veteran.
Survivors include his sister, Vietta (Peter) Mickus of Palatine; niece, Petrenelle (Thomas) Smith of Palatine; and grandnieces, Carrie Smith of Palatine and Mike Smith of Palatine.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gustav and Ella Bedurske; and brother, Donald Bedurske.
Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
Arrangements were made by Ahlgrim and Sons Funeral Home, Palatine.

Grace Butirro of Elk Grove Village
Prayers for Grace Butirro (nee DeSilvio), 89, formerly of Fort Myers, Fla., will be said at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, at Grove Memorial Chapel, 1199 S. Arlington Heights Rd. (threeblocks south of Biesterfield Rd.), Elk Grove Village. Mass will follow at 10 a.m. at Queen of the Rosary Church, Elk Grove Village.
Born in Bari, Italy, she died Saturday, Feb. 20, 1999, at Alexian Brothers Medical Center. Entombment will be in Queen of Heaven Mausoleum.
A retired 20-year employee of Leaf Brand Candy Company in Chicago, she was the wife of the late Frank, he preceded her in death in 1960; mother of Michael (Mary Ann), Robert (Colleen) and Frank (Betty); sister of Nell Surdo and Rose Rano; grandmother of Michael, Rosemary Jordahl, Daniel, Frank, Steven, Robert, Frank, Christopher, Jeffrey; and great-grandmother of five.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Monday, at the funeral chapel.
Please omit flowers.

Thomas P. `Pop' Carroll formerly of Wheaton
Prayers for Thomas P. `Pop' Carroll, 80, of Burlington, Mich., will be said at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, at Williams-Kampp Funeral Home, 430 E. Roosevelt Rd. (one block east of Naperville Rd.), Wheaton. Mass will follow at 10 a.m. at St. Michael Church.
Born Aug. 4, 1918, in New Rochelle, N. Y., he died Friday, Feb. 19, 1999, in Michigan. Interment will be in St. Michael Cemetery.
Mr. Carroll was former president of Sinclair and Carroll Printing Company of Chicago, retiring in 1985. He was a Navy veteranof World War II.
He was the beloved husband of the late Trudy (nee Roberts); dear father of Susan (Michael) Fenske, Maureen (late Michael) Boyle, Kathleen (Philip) Nash, Angela Carroll, Matthew (Jeanne) Carroll, Elizabeth (Gary) Crist, Virginia (Robert) Stoffel, Thomas and Anne Carroll; loving grandfather of 26; great-grandfather of three; andfond brother of Edmund Carroll.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Monday, at the funeral home.

Steven Castro of Geneva
A funeral Mass for Steven Castro, 22, will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday, at St. Peter Catholic Church, Geneva.
Born July 23, 1976, in Chicago, to Gabriel and Donna (nee Bell) Castro, he died Friday, Feb. 19, 1999, in Aurora.
Burial will be in Mount Emblem Cemetery, Elmhurst.
Surviving are his parents ofGeneva; sister, Donna (John) Allen of Maple Park; brother, Gabriel Castro Jr. at home; paternal grandfather, Juan Castro of South Elgin; naternal grandmother, Susan Faso of Chicago; niece, Sammatha; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Joefina Castro, in 1998.
Visitation will be from 2to 8 p.m. today, at Yurs Funeral Home, 405 E. Main St., St. Charles.

Marija Cuk of Lake Zurich
Funeral services for Marija Cuk, 94, will be held at noon, Monday, at St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church in Libertyville.
Born Aug. 15, 1904, in Poland, she passed away Friday, Feb. 19, 1999,at Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington.
Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Cuk had previously lived in Yugoslavia before coming to the United States in 1963. Since 1995, she had resided in Lake Zurich.
Surviving are her two daughters, Vera Cuk-Malarz, M. D., of Lake Zurich and Nada (Voja) Ivanovic of Gilbert, Ariz.; three grandchildren, Bob (Christie) Mularz of Lake Zurich, Al (Martha) Ivanovic of Bartlett and Mary (Rick) Goulian of Gilbert, Ariz.; six great-grandchildren, Heidi, Nick, Johnny, Natalie, Aniela and Rachael; and sister, Irena Babik of Poland.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bogdan Cuk, in 1961, and by three sisters.
Friends of the family may call from 3 to 6 p.m. today, at Burnett-Dane Funeral Home, 120 W. Park Ave. (Route 176), Libertyville, where pomen services will be held at 3:30 p.m.

Dorothy M. Fogarty of Arlington Heights

A homemaker, she was the wife of the late Alexander; mother of Elaine (Paul) Monas and Janina (Donald) Daraskevich; sister of the late Thomas (Mary) Pieczonka and Vincent (late Mary) Pieczonka; grandmother of Pauline (Richard) Ritthaler, Dennis Monas, Etienne Monas, Carol (Karl) Einfalt, Donald(Kris) Daraskevich Jr., Edward (Victoria) Daraskevich and David (Nina) Daraskevich; and great-grandmother of six.

Richard A. Grajek of Bartlett

A Navy veteran of the Korean War, he was a retired security guard for Harris Bank in Chicago for 33 years.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann J. (nee Pawelek); children, Kathleen M. (Gary) Klages, David G. and Jeffrey L. (fiancee Jennifer Gibson) Grajek; grandchildren, Garrett and Katrina Klages; and brother, Thomas (Maria) Grajek.
He was preceded in death by his parents, August and Helena Grajek; and brother, Ronald Grajek.

A homemaker, she was the wife of the late B. James Konczyk; mother of James (Cathy), Joseph (Jennifer), Mary Ann (Rick)Fryer, Gayle (Gene) Jorgensen, Susan, Mary Jo (Sam) Haylock, Luann (Thomas) Russell, Kari and Elizabeth (Scott) Wold; grandmother of Damian, Nicole, Jim, Julie, Jordan, Kristina, Maryellen, Ada, Kaitlyn, Rebecca and Thomas J.; and great-grandmother of Larz, Zachary and Darcy.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today, at the funeral home.

Anita J. McBrearty of Grayslake
A funeral Mass for Anita J. McBrearty (nee Falk), 75, was held at St. Gilbert's Catholic Church in Grayslake. Father Beaven officiated.
Born in Galesburg, Ill., Mrs. McBrearty passed away Saturday, Feb. 13, 1999. Interment in Curlew Hills Memory Gardens in Florida.
A member of St. Gilbert's Church,she is survived by her husband of 57 years, Jack L. McBrearty; daughter and sonin-law, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas H. Eddy III of Grayslake; daughter-in-law, Mrs. Michael J. McBrearty of Apple Spring, Texas; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Michael J. McBrearty.
Arrangements were made by Strang Funeral Chapel and Crematorium, Ltd., Grayslake.
