Edwin J. Tarsa of Arlington Heights
Prayers for Edwin J. Tarsa, 88, formerly a 24-year resident of Des Plaines, will be said at 10:30 a.m. Monday, at Grove Memorial Chapel, 1199 S. Arlington Heights Road (three blocks south of Biesterfield Road), Elk Grove Village, follwoed by an 11 a.m. Mass at St. Mary Church, 794 Pearson, Des Plaines.
Born in Chicago, he died Thursday, Feb. 18, 1999, at Church Creek Retirement Center in Arlington Heights. Interment will be in St. Adalbert Cemetery, Niles.
Mr. Tarsa was retired as a tool designer from Western Electric with 40 years of service. He was a member of Telephone Pioneers of America, Des Plaines Seniors Club and the Knights of Columbus #1278, Father Setter Council. An avid golfer, Mr. Tarsa held the course record at Lake Opekain Des Plaines for many years, and shot 61 holes-in-one.
He was the husband of the late Alice M. (nee Gburek), who preceded him in death in 1994; father of Mary F. (Peter) Flanagan of Elk Grove Village, Patricia A. (Alden) Small of Elgin, and the late Edwin P. and Virginia T. Tarsa; loving grandfather of Kathy (Joe) Nix, James P. Flanagan, Jen(Eric) Hokanson, Sandra J. (Greg) Genovesi and Paul (Sandi) Tarsa; dear great-grandfather of Marisa and Cody Tarsa, Angela, Nicco and Andrea Genovesi, and Abigail and Andrew Nix; and dear father-in-law of Ramona Tarsa.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today, at the funeral chapel.

Jason A. Teafoe of Geneva
A funeral Mass for Jason Andrew Teafoe, 24, will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, at St. Peter Catholic Church, 1891 Kaneville Road, Geneva.
The Rev. Joseph F. Jarmoluk will officiate.
Born May 14, 1974, Jason passed away Thursday, Feb. 18, 1999. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Geneva Township.
Jason was a 1992 graduate of Geneva High School and currently worked as a self-employed roofer. In his spare time, he enjoyed many sports, including golf, bowling and fishing. He was best known by his family and friends for being a free spirit and living life to the fullest. Jason touched people in many ways but will be remembered most for his smile and spontaneity.
Surviving are his mother, Linda Marie Thielman of Geneva; father, Laurence G. Teafoe of St. Charles; stepfather, John T. Thielman of Geneva; stepmother, Terri Teafoe of St. Charles; brothers, Jeffery Teafoe of Geneva, Jimmy Teafoe (fiancee Stacy Zipay) of Batavia and Lauren Teafoe of Wisconsin; sister, Jennifer Thielman of Geneva; stepsister, Shelley (Jeremy) Kerr of Missouri; grandparents, Bud and Lucielle Dorgan of Stevensville, Mont., Peggy and Vern Phister of St.
Charles and Jerome Teafoe of Montana; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and one extremely special nephew, Tryston John Teafoe, his little buddy as well as his pride and joy.
He was precededin death by six great-grandparents, and great-uncle, the Rev. Joseph Teafoe of Freeport.
Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, at Yurs-Wittenberg Funeral Home, 1771 W. State St., Geneva.

Ellen R. Todd of Naperville
Visitation and funeral services for Ellen R. Todd, 88, were held on Friday at the Hollomom-Brown Funeral Home in Norfolk, Va. The Rev. Morris Bennett officiated.
Born Oct. 18, 1910, in Richmond, Va., she died Friday, Feb. 12, 1999, at ManorCare Health Services in Naperville. Interment was at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Norfolk.
Mrs. Todd moved to Naperville from Norfolk in 1992. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Naperville and formerly an active member of Miles Memorial Methodist Church in Norfolk for more than 40 years. She was a longtime employee of the Norfolk Public School System.
Surviving are her son, William F. (Margaret) Todd Jr. of Naperville; sister, Mamie Munro of Wake, Va.; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Brian) Jones of Brooklyn Center, Minn., Richard (Margaret) Todd of Warrenville and Peter Todd of Naperville; three great-grandsons; and two great-granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William F. Todd Sr., in 1984; parents, John and Eva (nee Blunt) Roper; and brother, John Roper.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Disease Association - Chicago Chapter, 4709 E. Golf Road, Skokie, IL 60076.

Dorothy L. Waspi of Hoffman Estates
Services for Dorothy L. Waspi (nee Pingrey), 68, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, at All Saints Lutheran Church, 630 S. Quentin Rd., Palatine.
She will lie in state from 9 a.m. until the time of services.
Born Aug. 25, 1930, she died Friday, Feb. 19, 1999. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Barrington.
A longtime resident of Hoffman Estates, she was employed by Plum Grove Dental Associates in Palatinefor 30 years.
Survivors include her children, Paul (Jean) Waspi of Barrington, Susan Anderson of Vernon Hills and Janet Kotel of Hoffman Estates; grandchildren, Beth, Grant and Taylor Waspi, Robert Anderson and Kimberly Kotel; mother, Faye Pingrey; brother, Barney Chapman; and brother-in-law, John (Fran) Waspi.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne; brother, Robert Pingrey; and father, Harlan Pingrey.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Monday, at Ahlgrim and Sons Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Hwy., Palatine.

Bill B. Wuczynski of Carpentersville
Services for Bill B. Wuczynski, 79, will begin with prayers at 9:15 a.m. Monday, at Miller Funeral Home, 504 W. Main St., West Dundee, and continue with Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Monica Church in Carpentersville.
Born Jan. 7, 1920, in Chicago, to John and Elizabeth Wuczynski, he died Friday, Feb. 19, 1999, at Sherman Hospital, Elgin. Burial will be in Dundee Township East Cemetery, East Dundee.
Mr. Wuczynski had been a resident of the Carpentersville area for 42 years and was a member of St. Monica Church. Prior to his retirement in 1982, he had worked for many years as a construction worker. Bill was also a World War II veteran, having served in the Marine Corps, and was a member of VFW 3579 in Park Ridge.
Surviving are his wife of57 years, Jane Wuczynski, whom he married Nov. 15, 1941; son, Bill F. (Jan) Wuczynski of Cape Coral, Fla.; daughters, Pat (James) Henneman of Charlotte, N. C., and Lynn Wuczynski of Carpentersville; grandsons, Jeff, Brett and Byron Wuczynski, and Kevin and Jason Henneman; great-granddaughters, Bayleigh and Kylee Henneman; brother, Mitchel Wuczynski; sister, Helen Marcheski; and dear friend, Joan Collins.
He was preceded in death by his parent, two sistersand one brother.
Visitation will be from 1 to 6 p.m. today, at the funeral home.

Stefania Zielinska of Arlington Heights
Prayers for Stefania Zielinska (nee Godryd), 71, will be saidat 9:30 a.m. Monday, at Grove Memorial Chapel, 195 N. Buffalo Grove Road, Buffalo Grove, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass at St. James Church, 820 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights.
Born in Jodlowa, Poland, she died Thursday, Feb. 18, 1999, at Northwest Community Healthcare. Interment will be in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.
Mrs. Zielinska was self-employed as a home care nurse.
She was the dearest mother of Andy Zielinski.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today, at the funeral chapel.

Edna Anderson of Inverness
Services for Edna Anderson (nee Grenz), 94, formerly of Park Ridge, will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, at Memorial Park Cemetery, 9900 Gross Point Rd., Skokie.
Born Sept. 6, 1904, in Chicago, she died Thursday, Feb. 18, 1999, at Westmoreland in Lake Forest. Entombment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Among her special interests, Mrs. Anderson was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Barrington, Chapter IM of the PEO, and the Park Ridge Country Club.
She was the beloved wife of the late Norman Anderson; loving mother of Norman F. (Carolyn L.) Anderson of Sarasota, Fla., and Roger A. Anderson of Inverness; dear sister of Frieda Stockof Chicago; and fond aunt of two nieces.
Please omit flowers.
Memorials may be made to a charity of donor's choice.

Elizabeth `Betty' Anderson of Glen Ellyn
Memorial services for Elizabeth `Betty' Anderson, 78, will be held at 7:30 p.m. today, at First United Methodist Church, 424 Forest Ave., Glen Ellyn.
Dr. E. Doyle Blanton will officiate.
Born May 10, 1920, in Mount Carroll, Ill., she died Thursday, Feb. 18, 1999, at her residence. Burial will be private.
A homemaker, Mrs. Anderson had been a resident of Glen Ellyn since 1948. She earned her bachelor's degree in music from the University of Illinois in 1942. She was very active during her lifetime with the Musician's Club, the Girl Scouts, the Republican Women's Club, the League of Women Voters and community concerts. She was alsoan active member of First United Methodist Church of Glen Ellyn. In addition, Mrs. Anderson was a founder of the DuPage Council for Child Development which established the first non-profit Title 20 day care centers in DuPage County in the early 1970s (later adopted by the YWCA).
Surviving are her children, Susan (Erich) Wise of Long Beach, Calif., and Linda (Dick) Worcester of Wheaton; granddaughters, Shannon, Caitlin, Johanna and Molly; and twin brother, retired Col. William Rhodes.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Anderson, whom she married in 1946; and brothers, Tom and Bud Rhodes.
Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church or to donor's favorite charity.

Walter T. Argast of Elk Grove Village
Services for Walter T. Argast, 67, formerly of Chicago, will beheld at 10 a.m. Tuesday, at Grove Memorial Chapel, 1199 S. Arlington Heights Rd. (three blocks south of Biesterfield Rd.), Elk Grove Village.
Born in Chicago, he died at Church Creek Retirement Center. Interment will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Arlington Heights.
Mr. Argast retired after 30 years with Warwick Electronics of Chicago.
He was the son of the late Walter T. Sr. and Mildred (nee Cozeluh); brother of Ronald (Jacquie') Argast, William Argast, Lynn (Ronald) Swanson and Mildred Argast; dear uncle of Deanna (Norman) Ellingsen, Nancy (Mark) Colombo, David Swanson, Becky (Frank) Tranchita and Wayne (Donna) Argast; and great-uncle of nine.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today, at the funeral chapel.

Ernest James `E. J. ' Barnes of Wheaton
Services for Ernest James `E. J. ' Barnes, 48, will be heldat 11 a.m. Wednesday, at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton.
Born Nov. 10, 1950, in Detroit, Mich., he died Sunday, Feb. 21, 1999, at Hanover Oak Brook Healthcare Center, Oak Brook. Interment will be in Wheaton Cemetery.
Mr. Barnes was a 1968 graduate of Freeport High School and had served in the Air Force Reserve. A longtime resident of Wheaton, he joined the Wheaton Jaycees where he served in many capacities, including president from 1986 to 1987 and Jaycee International Senator #42487.
Survivors include his wife, Julie Barnes (nee Dombrow); sons, Eric and P. T. Barnes; son-in-law, Ciro Grassano; granddaughter, Taylor Grassano; parents, Ernest and Jane Barnes of Lanark, Ill.; and brothers and sister, Bill (Lynn) Barnes of Howell, Mich., Curt (Connie) Barnes of Lanark, Keith (Susan) Barnes of Beloit, Wis., Beverly (Gary) Dyson of Lanark and Kevin (Amy) Barnes of Lanark.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Melissa M. Grassano.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home.
