RANTOUL – Graveside services for Otis Deon Maxwell, 88, of Rantoul, formerly of Newton, will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Mound cemetery in rural Willow Hill. Dale Wood will officiate.
Full military rites will be accorded by the Ste. Marie American Legion Post No. 932.
Visitation will be from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Buchanan Funeral Home, 307 W. Jourdan St., Newton.
Mr. Maxwell died at 3:07 p.m. Thursday (Dec. 6, 2001) at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

CHAMPAIGN – Memorial services for Marjorie McQueen Monkman, 71, of Glen Allan, Miss., formerly of Champaign, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 9, at the University YMCA, 1001 S. Wright St., C.
Following the service, friends and family will gather at the Sattazahn Home, Savoy.
Mrs. Monkman died Nov. 15, 2001, at Maine Medical Center, Portland, Maine.

ARCOLA – Maria de Jesus Medina de Silva, 63, of Greenup, formerly of Arcola, died at 5:19 p.m. Thursday (Dec. 6, 2001) at Sarah Bush Lincoln Hospital, Coles County.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Arcola. The Rev. Joseph Allen will officiate. Burial will be in the Arcola cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Shrader Funeral Home, 204 N. Locust St., Arcola. A rosary will be said at 5 p.m. Sunday.

DANVILLE – Rudolph L. Thompson, 78, of Danville died at 6:50 a.m. Wednesday (Dec. 5, 2001) at the Vermilion Manor Nursing Home, Danville.
Funeral services will be at noon Monday at the Carter Metropolitan Christian Methodist Episcopal Church, 448 E. Williams St., Danville. The Rev. A.J. Andujo will officiate. Burial will be in the Danville National cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Leek and Sons Funeral Home, 304 E. Williams St., Danville, and for one hour before the services Monday at the church. The family will be present only at the church.
