Paula Tedrahn of Cloverdale, Ill.
Funeral services for Paula Tedrahn (nee Elbert), 82, will be held at 10:30 a.m. today, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Roselle.
Born March 4, 1916, she died Friday, Oct. 23, 1998, at her home. Burial will be in Wheaton cemetery.
She was the wife of the late Earl; mother of Thomas, Russell and Harriet Tedrahn and Marilyn Tyler; sister of Elda (the late Eugene) Rolf and the late Erwin (Marilyn) Elbert; grandmother of three; and great-grandmother of three.
Memorials may be made to the Hospice of DuPage.

Philip Ariola of South Barrington
Prayers for Philip Ariola, 84, formerly of Melrose Park, will be said at 9:15 a.m. Tuesday, at Ahlgrim & Sons Funeral Home, 330 W. Golf Road, Schaumburg. Mass will follow at 10 a.m., at St. Theresa Church, 465 N. Benton St., Palatine.
Born Jan. 22, 1914, in Naples, Italy, he died Saturday, Oct. 24, 1998, in Hoffman Estates. Burial will be in St. Michael the Archangel cemetery, Palatine.
Mr. Ariola was a former owner, breeder and trainer of thoroughbred race horses under the name Air View Farm.
Survivors include hiswife of 58 years, Olga Ariola (nee Huschik); sons, John (Marti) and Anthony (Noreen) Ariola; grandsons, David and Michael Ariola; brother, Sam Ariola Jr.; and sisters, Ann Eboli, Josephine Ariola and Antoinette (Peter) DiLillo.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today, at the funeral home.

Barbara A. Atkins of Naperville
Services for Barbara A. Atkins, 47, will be held at 8 p.m. today, at Beidelman-Kunsch Funeral Home, 117 W. Van Buren, Naperville.
Born Oct. 11, 1951, in Pomona, Calif., she died Thursday, Oct. 22, 1998, at Edward Hospital, Naperville. Interment will be private.
Mrs. Atkins came to Naperville from Simi Valley, Calif., in 1990. Upon relocating to Naperville, she immediately became involved in the Ranch View School community, where her daughter, Alicia, attended kindergarten through fifth grade. She coordinated the Red Ribbon Week Drug Awareness Program for several years, served as the Learning Center coordinator of volunteer programs, and assisted in the Ranch View School musical productions. The Ranch View teachers and students could always depend upon Mrs. Atkins to help out in any way in the classroom. She particularly enjoyed coordinating the room mother activities for all the school parties.
Mrs. Atkins' volunteer efforts were recognized in many ways, including receiving the Those Who Excel Award for Community Service. At Ranch View School she will be remembered most for her commitment to children and her delightful laugh that warmed the hearts of staff and students alike.
Mrs. Atkins' commitment to animals and nature was evident in many of the things she did at Ranch View School.
She often brought in pets for `show and tell, ' which once included a severely injured kitten to help the children understand about safety with animals.
Mrs. Atkins was a member of the Back on the Track group at Edward Hospital Health Center and of the Ranch View Home and School Association.
Surviving are her husband, John S. Atkins, and daughter, Alicia Atkins, both of Naperville; father, Miles Burd of Marietta, Calif.; mother, Barbara Burd of Cambria Pines, Calif.; brothers, Richard Burd of Redondo Beach, Calif., and Steve Burd and Ryan Burd, both of Marietta; sisters, Gail (Randy Records) Green of Garden Grove, Calif., and Ilene (Paul) Roundtree of Anchorage, Alaska; and grandmother, Gladys Haggard of Bellinda, Calif.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today, at the funeral home.

Lowell W. Best of Willow Lake Estates, Elgin
Memorial services for Lowell W. Best, 81, will be held at 7:30 p.m. today, at St. James Episcopal Church, West Dundee. The Rev. Brian Couvillion, rector, will officiate.
Born in Jasper, Ala., Jan. 18, 1917, the son of John J. and Minnie Henson Best, he died Sunday, Oct. 11, 1998, at his home. Burial will be in St. James Episcopal Churchyard cemetery.
Mr. Best was a veteran of World War II, having served in the 1st Armored Division in North Africa and Italy. He was active with the Sherman Hospital Ostomy Support Group and was a volunteer cancer visitor. Formerly, he had been a 20-year member of the Teamsters Local.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Lois Grau Best, whom he married June 1, 1946; daughter, Patricia of West Dundee; grandson, Charles of West Dundee; sister, Lola Volkmann; and brothers, Ray, Joe (Dorothy), Warren (Rose) and Edward (Trudy).
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Florence; and brothers, Hartley and Berton.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to either the St. James Episcopal Church, the American Cancer Society or the Hospice of Northeastern Illinois, Barrington.

Bruno J. Biagini of Lake Villa
Services with a Mass of Christian Burial for Bruno J. Biagini will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, at St. Bede Church, 36455 N. Wilson Road, Ingleside.
Born in Chicago to Nello and Carmella (nee Parenti) Biagini, he passed away Thursday, Oct. 22, 1998, at Condell Medical Center, Libertyville. Interment will be in Ascension cemetery, Libertyville.
Mr. Biagini moved to Lake Villa in 1952 and was a member of St. Bede Church in Ingleside. During World War II, he served in the Army infantry reconnaissance under General Patton.
Before his retirement, he worked as a candy maker for Andes Candies of Delavan, Wis.
Survivors include his wife, Marguerite Biagini (nee Moretti), whom he married Dec. 26, 1943, in Chicago; sons, Bruce J. (Fran) Biagini of Macomb, Barry J. (Pam) Biagini of Paradise Valley, Ariz., and Brian J. Biagini of Lake Villa; stepson, John David (Colleen) Biagini of Pell Lake, Wis.; sister, Lena (Joseph) Scelfo of Burbank, Ill.; sister-in-law, Joann Moretti of Chicago; and grandchildren, Jeffrey, Timothy, Sarah, Adam, Christopher, Michael, Kimberly and Joseph.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, John and Joseph Biagini.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today, at Strang Funeral Home of Antioch, 1055 Main St. (Route 83), Antioch.

George M. Bravos of Des Plaines
Services for George M. Bravos, 19, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church.
Born Oct. 19, 1979, in Des Plaines, he died Friday, Oct. 23, 1998, at Illinois Masonic Medical Center. Burial will be in Elmwood cemetery, River Grove.
He was the son of Michael and Tasie; brother of Helen (Pete) Dedeoglou, Christ (Kathleen) and John (Phyllis); and uncle of Jordan, Danielle, Anastasia, Annie and Michael.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today, at Cumberland Chapels, 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge.

Aubrey L. Burgess of Naperville
Services for Aubrey L. Burgess, 76, will begin at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, from Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville, going to St. Raphael Church, 1215 Modaff Road, Naperville, for funeral services at 10 a.m.
Born April 28, 1922, in Washington, D. C., he died Friday, Oct. 23, 1998, at the Tabor Hills Healthcare Facility in Naperville. Interment will be in Sts. Peter and Paul cemetery, Naperville.
Mr. Burgess had retired from the Borg-Warner Corporation in 1984 and had begun his own patent law practice, finally retiring in 1995. He had served on the board of directors at Edward Hospital and had also served as a member of the Naperville Plan Commission. He enjoyed traveling and playing bridge.
Survivors include his son, John A. (Ann) Burgess of Streamwood; daughter, Margaret (Jay) Johnson of Naperville; grandchildren, Michael, Timothy and Christopher Burgess, and Meghan, Lauren and Allison Johnson; brother, Earle Burgess of Virginia; and sister, Jeanne (Ralph) Heitmuller of Florida.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Janet H. Burgess; and parents, James C. and Stella Burgess.
Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. and from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home.

Harriet M. Carlyon formerly of West Chicago
A memorial service for Harriet M. Carlyon, 80, most recently of Jacksonville, Fla., will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, at First United Methodist Church of West Chicago. The Rev. Dave Haley will officiate.
Born Aug. 4, 1918, in Oak Park, she passed away Saturday, Oct. 24, 1998, at Arbors Rehabilitation Center in Jacksonville. Burial will be in Oakwood cemetery, West Chicago.
Mrs. Carlyon had lived in West Chicago for 43 years before moving to Florida in 1990. She was employed by Born's Picture Frames of West Chicago for many years, was a member of the First United Methodist Church of West Chicago, taught Sunday school and was active in the U. M. W.
She is survived by her sons, Kenneth Carlyon Jr. of Jacksonville and David (Candy) Carlyon of West Chicago; grandchildren, Michelle Carlyon of Tampa, Fla., Christopher Carlyon of Jacksonville and Scott Carlyon of West Chicago; sisters, Florence Smith and Genevieve Schroeder; and brother, Robert (Myrtle) Parke.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Carlyon Sr., in January.
Contributions in Mrs. Carlyon's memory may be made to the First United Methodist Church of West Chicago.

Curtis M. Clark of Bloomingdale
Visitation for Curtis M. Clark, 80, will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. today, at Martin Funeral Home, Ltd., 333 S. Roselle Road, Roselle. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Oct. 31, in Elton, La.
Born June 28, 1918, in Flagler, Colo., he died Friday, Oct. 23, 1998, at Glen Oaks Medical Center, Glendale Heights.
Interment will be in St. Paul cemetery, Elton.
Mr. Clark was a former engineer for Ductile Iron Pipe.
Surviving are his sons, Curtis J. (Sherry) Clark of Helena, Ala., and Michael C. Clark of Bloomingdale; daughter, Cynthia (Larry) Munyon of Montrose, Colo.; and granddaughters, Rachel and Tanya.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Velma Clark; brother, Dale Clark; and sister, Mildred Lammon.

Georgia E. Coppock of Arlington Heights
Georgia E. Coppock was born July 23, 1907, and died Sunday, Oct. 25, 1998, at Northwest Community Healthcare.
She is survived by her daughter, Willene (Robert) Ward; son, John C. (Patricia) Coppock; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother and three sisters.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, at Lauterburg and Oehler Funeral Home, 2000 E. Northwest Hwy., Arlington Heights.
Services and interment will be private.
