Marguerite Devine of Libertyville
Funeral services for Marguerite Devine, 97, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, at Burnett-Dane Funeral Home, 120 W. Park Ave., Libertyville.
Born Oct. 25, 1900, in Kansas, she died Friday, Oct. 23, 1998, at Libertyville Manor. Interment will be in Ascension cemetery.
She lived in Chicago for a short time before purchasing a farm in Nixa, Mo.
She owned and operated the farm for many years before retiring to live in Libertyville for the past 10 years. She was a former member of the Catholic Parish in Springfield, Mo.
Surviving are her son, Edward (Constance) Devine of Libertyville; grandchildren, Cathleen (Thomas) Rasnic of Elmhurst and Brian (Karen Kambara) Devine of Portland, Ore.; great-grandchildren, Lucas, Kirsten and Samuel Rasnic; nieces, Geneva (Joseph) Baldwin and Laurene Roche; and nephew, Robert Latta.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward M. Devine Sr. in 1993; and seven brothers and sisters.
Friends of the family may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today, at the funeral home.

Anthony J. Filipovitch formerly of Des Plaines
Anthony J. Filipovitch, 76, of Cheyenne, Wyo., died Friday, Oct. 23, 1998, at Mountain Towers Healthcare Center.
He was born March 13, 1922, in Chicago, and had lived there since 1996, with prior residence in Detroit, Mich.
As a youth, he lived in Des Plaines.
Mr. Filipovitch was employed by Ford Motor Company for 30 years. He was a plant manager in Dearborn, Mich. and consulted for Ford Operations in Argentina, Mexico, England and Germany.
His design for the River Rouge Iron Foundry Line is in the collection at the Smithsonian Institute. After his retirement, he volunteered with the Retired Executive Corps of America and consulted in China.
Mr. Filipovitch is survived by his wife, Valerie Filipovitch of Cheyenne, whom he married
in 1945; daughters, Diane Carel of Stirling, N. J. and Connie Filipovitch-Sarmiento of Cheyenne; sons, Anthony Filipovitch, Jr. of Mankato, Minn., Kurt Filipovitch of Carlsbad, Calif., Matthew Filipovitch of Modesto, Calif. and Stephen Filipovitch of Houston, Texas; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, David Filipovitch and his parents, Conrad and Rose Filipovitch.

Christine Anna Giacomin of Palatine
Funeral services for Christine Anna Giacomin (nee Seeger), 74, formerly of Kenosha, Wis., will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, at Proko Funeral Home, 5111 - 60th St., Kenosha, Wis.
Born June 15, 1946, in Kenosha, Wis., the daughter of the late Louis and Nancy (nee Altomare) Seeger, she died Thursday, Oct. 22, 1998, at St. Francis Medical Center in Pittsburgh. Interment will be in Greenridge cemetery.
Mrs. Giacomin was a past member of Memorial United Methodist Church of Kenosha and of Ward Presbyterian Evangelical Church, Livonia, Mich., where she served as a deacon. Currently, she had been a member of Arlington Heights Evangelical Free Church in Arlington Heights. She expressed her love for others through her enjoyment of cooking and in return was loved by many. She relentlessly gave of her precious time and her precious self.
Surviving are her husband, Abelindo Giacomin, whom she married
June 15, 1946, in Kenosha; son, Vincent Giacomin of Palatine; daughter, Elena Giacomin-Dennis of Santa Fe, N. M.; sister, Frances Zuehlke of Albuquerque, N. M.; grandchildren, Tyra, Elizabeth, Cara and Anthony; and son-in-law, Joe Dennis.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers.

Viola Virginia `Ginny' Jensen of Inverness
A memorial service for Viola Virginia `Ginny' Jensen (nee Miller), 78, of Inverness for 37 years, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, at First United Methodist Church, Palatine.
Born Dec. 17, 1919, in Vinton, Iowa, she died Friday, Oct. 23, 1998. Interment will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, in Westview cemetery, LaPorte City, Iowa.
Virginia grew up in Fort Dodge, Iowa, where she met John Kenneth Jensen.
She graduated from the University of Iowa in 1941, and taught elementary school for several years before marrying Captain Jensen in 1944. She was a member of the Gamma Phi Beta Sorority and a 60-year member of the P. E. O. Sisterhood.
When Virginia's John `Jack', their two sons, daughters-in-law and eight grandchildren gathered on special occasions, they often joked with her saying `Look what you started!' Family was most important to Virginia and she relished the times when all could be together.
`Grammie's' house was always a favorite place for the grandkids to go and holiday time was especially fun.
Virginia's devotion to her family was further evidenced by her dedication to continuing her extensive genealogical research begun years ago by her father, Kenneth Duane Miller.
Virginia was an enthusiastic competitor and loved to play bridge and golf.
She enjoyed tournament play and won many trophies. She will be remembered by her many friends for her active participation in Palatine and Fremd High School Boosters and her faithful membership at Palatine Methodist Church.
Survivors include her loving husband John; sons, John Jr. (Mary) and Kent (Margaret); and grandchildren, Philip, Andrew, Brian, Joanna (of Cincinnati, Ohio) and Karin (Randy), William, Tovey and Brady (of Adrian, Mich). Her generous spirit and loving support will be sorely missed.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of services Friday, at the church.

James G. Lindsey of Arlington Heights
Prayers for James G. Lindsey, 81, will be said at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road (four blocks south of Palatine Road), Arlington Heights.

Born May 20, 1917, in Chicago, the eldest son of Loyola M. McGowan and Robert Lindsey, he died Saturday, Oct. 24, 1998, at Northwest Community Healthcare, Arlington Heights. Burial will be private.
Mr. Lindsey worked as a radio engineer for Motorola for more than 26 years until he retired in 1968.
He then owned Norgetown Cleaners in Arlington Heights from 1968 until 1982. He was a graduate of Lane Technical High School and Loyola University.
James was a longtime member of St. James Catholic Church, where he served as a Eucharistic minister.
Despite debilitating physical handicaps, he was active in the Boy Scouts for more than 40 years.
He was a loving husband and father, and a faithful advocate of the Roman Catholic faith.
James will always be remembered for his deep religious sentiments, his spontaneous and unique sense of humor, his love of children, his passion for photography and his pioneering involvement with the latest in technology.
He is survived by his wife, Edna M. Lindsey (nee Horky). James and Edna joyously celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Sept. 4, 1998, with their nine children, Geoffrey (Antonia nee Fusco), Susan (Joseph) Adams, Kevin (Danuta Blum), Denis (Kathleen nee Langan), Patricia Michelsen, Barbara Thorsen, Michael (Teresa nee Sergani), Penelope (David) Carson and John; and 19 grandchildren, Eric and Michael Lindsey, Christine, Denise, Shawn and Amanda Adams, Patrick McDonough, Faye and Michael Lindsey, Charis, Marcus and Claire Michelsen, Megan, Alec and Kelly Thorsen, Justin, Rachel and Nicole Carson, and Jacqueline Fronczak. He is also survived by his cousin, Muriel Grathen.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert and William E. Lindsey.

Frank B. LoMonaco of Gurnee
A Mass of Christian Burial for Frank P. LoMonaco, 73, will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, at St. Paul the Apostle Church, Gurnee.
Born July 20, 1925, in Castildarcia, Sicily, Italy, he died Friday, Oct. 23, 1998, at Provena St. Therese Medical Center, Waukegan.
Interment will be in Ascension cemetery following the services.
Mr. LoMonaco came to the United States in 1928 and lived in Brooklyn, N. Y., until 1942, when he moved to Waukegan and later to Gurnee.
After graduating from Illinois Institute of Technology in 1946, he worked for ASW and went on to become plant manager for Johns Manville in Waukegan, Fort Worth, Texas, and at the world headquarters in Denver, Colo., where he retired in 1982. He then worked at Riechel and Drews from 1983 to 1989.
Mr. LoMonaco was a former member of Immaculate Conception Church and most recently was a member of St.
Paul the Apostle Church. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Gurnee Council, Northern Chapter #1 Association for Facilities Engineering, and John Mansville Retirees in Waukegan and Denver.
Survivors include his wife, Dolores `Dolly' LoMonaco (nee Niemi), to whom he was married
in 1949; children, JoMarie (Gavino) Zarate of Sugarland, Texas, Peter (Vikki) LoMonaco of Lake Forest, Linda (Steve) Neely of Sugarland and Gary (Angela) LoMonaco of Bartlett; grandchildren, Marisa and Sean Morgan, Brittany, Lauren, Cody and Josie LoMonaco, and Monica and Michael Neely; brothers, Vincent (Elizabeth) LoMonaco of Coral Gables, Fla., and William (Jean) LoMonaco of Wheaton; sister, Vilma (the late Van) Seveska; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Peter F. and Josephine LoMonaco; and niece, Mary Jo LoMonaco.

Laura Q. Lyle of Glen Ellyn
Mass for Laura Q. Lyle, 60, will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at St. Michael Catholic Church, West and Illinois St., Wheaton, leaving from the funeral home at 10:30 a.m.
Born in Chicago on July 17, 1938, she died Sunday, Oct. 25, 1998, in Wheaton, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Mrs. Lyle graduated from the University of Illinois and recently received a Ph. D. from State University of New York.
She wasa longtime supervisor for the Northern Illinois division of the Department of Corrections, and was past president of Illinois Correctional Association.
She began her career as a parole officer serving the Lawndale neighborhood of Chicago.
Mrs. Lyle is survived by her mother, Edith Quinn of Wheaton; husband, Delbert Lyle of Glen Ellyn; twin daughters, Martine Lyle and Michele (Roger) Anderson, both of South Elgin; two grandsons, Quinn and Drew Anderson; and dear friend, Gail Wilhelm of Hilton Head Island, S. C.

He was the husband of the late Jeannee Timmons; father of Larry (Lee) of McHenry, Kevin of Spring Hill, Tom of Spring Hill, and Karen (Mark) Smith of Vandenberg AFB, Calif.; brother of George (Florence) Mersch of Westchester, Ill., Anne (Joseph) Bavuso of Orlando, Fla., Marge (William) Lorenzi of Oviedo, Fla. and Elizabeth Cwik of Chicago; and grandfather of five.
