Timothy S. Miles of Elgin
Memorial services for Timothy S. Miles, 39, will be held at 10 a.m. today, at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, St. Charles. The Rev. Robert Hoffman will officiate.
Born May 16, 1959, in Elmhurst, the son of William and Amelia Watt Miles, he died Friday, Oct. 23, 1998, at home.
Burial will be private.
He was a graduate of Glenbard West High School class of 1977, and was a resident of Elgin for the past seven years.
Survivors include his mother, Amelia Cate of St. Charles; father, William J. Miles Sr. of Florida; sister, Carol (Bob) Blaine of Coal City, Ill.; brothers, Thomas Miles of Florida and William J. Miles Jr. of Carol Stream; nieces, Sheri Miles, Katie, Leslie, Robyn and Tiffani Blaine; great-niece, Cassie Cort; and great nephew, James Cort.
He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Leon Cate.
Memorials may be given to the American Diabetes Foundation.
Arrangements were made by Laird Funeral Home, Elgin.

Jeannette Olson of Hanover Park
Services for Jeannette Olson (nee Murrin), 60, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, at Ahlgrim and Sons Funeral Home, 330 W. Golf Rd., Schaumburg.
Born Jan. 29, 1938, in Chicago, she died Friday, Oct. 23, 1998, in Arlington Heights. Burial will be in All Saints cemetery.
She was the wife of Robert L.; mother of Corrinne C. (Michael) Donnell of Hanover Park; sister of Paul (Diane) Murrin of Wilmette, Larry(Rose) Murrin of Northfield and Sharon Ryan of Wauconda; grandmother of Michael and Trisha Donnell; and beloved aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today, at the funeral home.

Henry J. Pollacci of Roselle
Prayers for Henry J. Pollacci, 66, will be said at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, at Martin Funeral Home, 333 S. Roselle Road, Roselle. Mass will follow at 10 a.m. at St. Walter Church.
Born Jan. 15, 1932, in Chicago, he died Saturday, Oct. 24, 1998, at home. Burial will be in St. Michael the Archangel cemetery, Palatine.
A retired postal worker, he was the husband of Joan (nee Wisniewski); father of Michael of Roselle and Sandy (Ray) Fletcher of Roselle; grandfather of Tiffany, Raymond, Eric and Brad; and son of Antoinette Jones.

Franciska `Irene' Rekich of Glendale Heights
Franciscka `Irene' Rekich (nee Kohnke), 67, passed awayon Friday, Oct. 23, 1998, at Central DuPage Hospital, Winfield.
Born Dec. 2, 1930, in Bamberg, Germany, she was the wife of Emil F. Rekich and mother of Roy E. Rekich.
Mrs. Rekich was a front desk clerk at the Glen Ellyn Y. M. C. A.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today, at the Cypress Funeral Home, 1698 N. Bloomingdale Road, Glendale Heights. Interment will be private.

William A. Rogers of Wheeling
Prayers for William A. Rogers, 72, will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, at Kolssak Funeral Home, 189 S. Milwaukee Ave. (two blocks south of Dundee Road), Wheeling, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass at St. Joseph the Worker Church.
Born Sept. 25, 1926, in Chicago, he died Saturday, Oct. 24, 1998. Burial will be in Maryhill cemetery, Niles.
Before retiring, Mr. Rogers worked as a purchasing agent for Scott Foresman in Glenview until 1985, and for Cole Taylory Bank of Wheeling until 1996. A longtime community activist, he was a member of the Wheeling Appearance Commission, the Enviromental Commission from 1976 to 1980, and was past president of the Wheeling Instrumental League from 1975 to 1976. Since 1985, Mr. Rogers had served on the Palwaukee Airport Commission, and formerly, he had served as a village trustee, from 1976 to 1993.
Survivors include his wife, Anne M. (nee Uptmor); daughters, Deborah Rogers of Streamwood, Sandra (Christopher) Knight of St. Louis, Sharon (Jeffrey) Werneke of Grayslake and Nancy (Donald) Baraglia of Elmhurst; sister, Clare Busel of Wheeling; and six grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today, at the funeral home.

Jeanne F. Seeber of Elgin
Mass for Jeanne F. Seeber (nee Allgeier), 75, formerly of Des Plaines, will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, at St. Mary Church, Des Plaines.
Born Jan. 7, 1923, in Oak Park, she died Saturday, Oct. 24, 1998, at Provena St. Joseph Hospital, Elgin. Burial will be in All Saints cemetery.
For ten years, Jeanne was a church secretary for St. Mary Church.
She was the wife of the late Henry K. Seeber; mother of H. Kenneth (Josephine) Seeber Jr. of Herndon, Va., Mike (Deborah) Seeber of Omaha, Neb., Laura A. (Robert) O'Connell of Lake Forest, Peggy E. (Alan) Pemberton of Streamwood, Patti M. (Tom) Monaghan of Elgin and the late Robert E. (Beverly) Seeber of Twin Lakes, Wis.; and grandmother of 13.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today, at Oehler Funeral Home, 555 Lee St., Des Plaines.

Emilia Sereda of Bartlett
Funeral services for Emilia Sereda, 77, will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday, at Muzyka Funeral Home, 2157 W. Chicago Ave., Chicago, and continue to St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral for a 10:30 a.m. Divine Liturgy.
Mrs. Sereda died Saturday, Oct. 24, 1998, after a short illness. Interment will be in St. Nicholas cemetery.
She was the beloved wife of 55 years of John; loving mother of Taras (Ann), Helen (Petro) Pawluk and the late Bohdan; and cherished grandmother of Jennifer, Sharon and Christopher Sereda and Christine and Natalie Pawluk.

A retired plumber and member of Plumbers Union Local #130, he was the husband of Joan M. (nee Bauler); father of Stephen (Jody), Lloyd (Gail), Jeffrey (Kathleen) and Patrick (Sally) Smith, Kathleen (Michael) Conter and Jeanette (Craig) Ricci; and grandfather of 20.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today, at the funeral home.

She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph J. Strauss; loving mother of Richard (Jackee) Strauss and Jeanne (Jim) Copland; dear grandmother of Brian (Janine) and Lisa Strauss and Ted Rafferty; step grandmother of eight; treasured great-grandmother of four; and adored sister of Charlotte Lawrence.

Elizabeth T. Vaughan of Glen Ellyn
A funeral Mass for Elizabeth T. Vaughan (nee Van Antwerp), 77, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, at St. Petronille Church.
Born Sept. 2, 1921, in Detroit, Mich., she died Friday, Oct. 23, 1998, at Alexian Brothers Hospital. Interment will be in Assumption cemetery, Wheaton.
A 47-year resident of Glen Ellyn, she was a dedicated homemaker and an active member of St. Petronille Parish.
Survivors include her devoted and loving husband, John; children, John (Marilyn) of Plano, Texas, Patrick (Ellen) of Ann Arbor, Mich., Jim (Debbie) of Evanston, Anne of Glen Ellyn, Tim of Chicago, Beth (Kevin) O'Connor of South Ogden, Utah and Carol (Mike) McDonald of The Woodlands, Texas; eight grandchildren; sisters, Sister Ellen Van Antwerp of Monroe, Mich. and Mary Burke of Pittsburgh, Pa.; brother, Arthur Van Antwerp of Memphis, Mich.; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Peggy; and grandson, Tyler McDonald.

Mary LaVerne Wells of Mundelein
Services for Mary LaVerne Wells, 88, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at Community Protestant Church, 418 N. Prairie Ave., Mundelein. The Rev. Kenneth Press will officiate.
Born Oct. 17, 1910, in Libertyville, she died Sunday, Oct. 25, 1998, at home. Interment will be in Lakeside cemetery, Libertyville, following the services.
A lifelong resident of Mundelein, Mrs. Wells had served as the Mundelein village clerk for 26 years. She was a member of Community Protestant Church and an active member of the Dorcas Circle.
Survivors include her son, Dick (Lynn) Wells of Long Grove; grandchildren, Gary (Lorye) Wells of Lone Grove, Okla., Rhonda (Scott) Bast of Libertyville, Mark Hurley of Fort Worth, Texas, Lisa Lilly of Pilot Point, Texas, and Laura Rossof Jamestown, Colo.; great-grandchildren, Shea Wells, Bailee Bast and Colton Bast; and special friend, Bea Kiene of Mundelein.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul `Pudge' Wells, and daughter, Patsy.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, at Kristan Funeral Home P. C., 219 W. Maple Ave. (Route 176), Mundelein.
