Bernard Bertin Glennon of Chicago
Funeral services for Bernard Bertin Glennon, 85, will begin at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, at John E. Maloney Funeral Home, 1359 W. Devon Ave., Chicago, and continue to St. Gertrude Church for an 11 a.m. Mass. Interment will be in Mount Carmel cemetery.
Mr. Glennon was a retired United States Postal Worker.
He was the beloved husband of Dorothy (nee Higgins); loving father of Maureen (Walter) Podolak and the late Mary Bernadette Glennon; devoted grandfather of Michael Patrick, David Matthew, Thomas Walter and the late John Bernard Podolak; dear brother of Marian (Frank) Newell, and the late Robert (the late Roumelle), Edward (the late LaVerne), William (Bernice) Glennon and Bernice (the late John) Harrington; and dear uncle of many.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home.

Arlene Margaret Breuder of Barrington Hills
Funeral Mass for Arlene Margaret Breuder (nee Perrier), 57, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, at St. Anne Catholic Community Parish Center, 120 N. Ela St., Barrington, IL 60010. Father Jack Dewes will officiate.
Born July 30, 1941, in Chicago, she passed away Tuesday, Oct. 27, 1998, at her home. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery, Barrington.
She was an active member of the Barrington Hills Community for 30 years. She was a devoted member of St. Anne Catholic Community as well as the Infant Welfare League. Sheenjoyed volunteer work and was a member of the Gourmet Club.
Arlene was a bright light that shined upon many people. She will be deeply missed by a large circle of friends and family who valued her courage, kindness and her extraordinary passion for life.
Survivors include her husband, Leonard Breuder, whom she married May 23, 1964, in Chicago; and her children, Leonard Breuder of Chicago, Genevieve Breuder Proczek of Fox River Grove and William Breuder of Kenosha, Wis.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday, at Stirlen-Pieper & Davenport Funeral Home, 149 W. Main St. (Lake-Cook Road), Barrington.

Verna L. Favoright formerly of Batavia
Verna L. Favoright, 91, died at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, 1998, at Barton W. Stone Christian Home in Jacksonville, Ill., where she had been a resident since 1984.
She was born in Delhi, Ill., on March 26, 1907, the daughter of Clarence D. and Edith (nee White) Updike.
Mrs. Favoright received her bachelor's degree from Aurora College.
She was an elementary school teacher for 25 years in the Fox Valley area until her retirement. She devoted her life to children.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Jacksonville, the P. E. O. Sisterhood, National Retired Teachers Association, the Jerseyville Woman's Club and the A. A. U. W.
Surviving are a son, Thomas C. (Susan) Favoright of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; brothers, Clarence E. Updike of Jerseyville and Charles H. (Rosemary) Updike of Jerseyville; grandchildren, Lynnea (Michael) Bauer of Oak Park, Todd (MaryBeth) O'Malley of Aurora and Gregory (Rhonda) Favoright of Crest Hill, Ill.; and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, T. Larry Favoright, whom she married in Jerseyville on Jan. 1, 1931 and who passed away Dec. 3, 1990; her parents; her daughter, Carol Swanson; her granddaughter, Debra Winters; and her sister, Leah Little.
The body will be cremated and there will be a memorial service and interment of the cremains at the River Hills Memorial Park, 1650 S. River St. in Batavia, on Monday, Nov. 2, at 11 a.m.

Elmer J. Hartje of North Plato
Services for Elmer J. Hartje, 86, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church of North Plato. The Rev. Edward A. Davis will officiate.
Born Aug. 2, 1912, in Burlington, to Henry and Tillie (nee Sester) Hartje, he died Tuesday, Oct. 27, 1998, at his home. Burial willbe in North Plato cemetery.
Mr. Hartje married Hazel A. Romke Sept. 25, 1937, in Elgin and they lived all of their married life in the Plato area. Mr. Hartje retired from Engineered Ceramics of Gilberts in 1977. He was a member of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church of North Plato, where he had served as a church elder for more than 40 years. He was also a trustee of the Plato Township cemetery Association for many years.
Surviving are his son, Gordon(Sally) Hartje of Plato Center; daughters, Carol (Henry) Koukol of rural Elgin and Kathy (Greg) Coleman of North Plato; 13 grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Florence Hecker of Elgin, Edna Austby of East Dundee, Lucille (Floyd) Dorn of Belvidere, Norma (Glenn) Benson of Kirkland, Bernice (James) Jones of Sycamore and Arlene (David) Casey of St. Charles; brother, Harold Hartje of Elgin; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel, May 3, 1985; brothers, Vernon and Melvin Hartje; and sisters, Alma Lee and Alice Lake.
Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday, at Fredrick Funeral Home, 284 Park St., Hampshire, and prior to services Saturday, at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church of North Plato.

Janett Hill of Lake Zurich
A memorial service for Janett Hill will be held at 11 a.m. today, at St. Peter United Church of Christ in Lake Zurich.
She passed away Monday, Oct. 26, 1998.
She was the beloved mother of Anne, Sharon and Debbie; grandmother of John and Tim; and great-grandmother of Stephanie.

John R. Kehoe of Schaumburg
John R. Kehoe, 40, a devoted father and husband, died Friday, Oct. 23, 1998, at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, from complications related to leukemia treatment. A graduate of Loyola University in Chicago, he was a ceramics product manager with Mapei Corporation.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jane (nee Breda); daughter, Ashley and son, Michael; parents, Roberta Kehoe of Schaumburg and Robert (Barbara) Kehoe of Leesburg, Fla.; brother, Robert (Cathy); sister, Kathleen; in-laws, Bruce and Susanne Breda, Craig and Darlene Breda, Andrew and Fawn Breda, and Julie and Brian Berg Jr.; half brother, James Kehoe; 13 beloved nieces and nephews; and many great friends.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Jerry.
A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, at Our Redeemer's United Methodist Church, 1600 W. Schaumburg Road, Schaumburg, IL 60194.

Clyde Killiens of Elgin
Services for Clyde Killiens, 80, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, at O'Connor & Homeier Funeral Home, 364 Division St., Elgin. The Rev. Rayford Travis will officiate.
Born Feb. 26, 1918, in Doland, Ga., to Lige and Minnie (nee Wade) Killiens, he died Monday, Oct. 26, 1998, at his home.
Burial will be in Bluff City cemetery.
Before his retirement, Mr. Killiens had worked in food service for the Lee County School Board in Fort Meyers, Fla., for 35 years.
Survivors include his daughter, Eloise Killiens of Rochester, N. Y.; sister, Ora Lee Powell of Rochester; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great nephews; and several grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Georgia Killiens.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. Saturday, at the funeral home.

Gloria S. Lego formerly of Chicago
Services for Gloria S. Lego, 75, of LaCrosse, Wis., will begin at 9:30 a.m. Friday, from Yurs-Peterson Funeral Home, 209 S. Batavia Ave., Batavia, going to Holy Cross Catholic Church in Batavia for a funeral Mass at 10 a.m.
The Rev. Stephen St. Jules will officiate.
Born Feb. 21, 1923, in Fort Leavenworth, Kan., to Charles B. and Evelyn E. (nee Marine) Wagner, she passed away Monday, Oct. 26, 1998, at her son's home in Batavia. Interment will take place at 2 p.m. Friday, in St. Joseph cemetery, River Grove.
Mrs. Lego was a graduate of St. Vincent DePaul Nursing School in Virginia and had served in the Army Nursing Corps as a registered nurse. She met her husband, Anthony W. Lego, at the Valley Forge Hospital in Philadelphia, Pa., where he was a patient. They were united in marriage Aug. 24, 1946, at St. Joseph Carmelite Church in Fort Leavenworth. Mrs. Lego was an active church member and choir member throughout her lifetime. She also enjoyed oil painting, ceramics, volunteer work, and spending special times with her beloved family and friends.
She is survived by her children, Anthony W. (Linda) Lego Jr., Catherine Lego and Thomas (Renee) Lego; grandchildren, John, Candice, Sandra, Jennifer, Laura Beth, Chanel, Robyn, Nicholas and Brianna; great-grandchildren, Ashton, Tyler, Alana and Nora; and brother, Charles B. (Louise) Wagner.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony William Lego Sr.; daughter, Nancy Susan Miller; and son, Timothy Charles Lego.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, at the funeral home, where a liturgical wake service will be held at 5 p.m.

Marie Inez Mackey of Des Plaines
A funeral Mass for Marie Inez Mackey (nee Staley), 78, will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, at St. Mary Church, Des Plaines.
Born March 10, 1920, in Chicago, she died Wednesday, Oct. 28, 1998, at Resurrection Hospital. Burial will be in Mount Olivet cemetery.
Mrs. Mackey was a retired bank administrator. She was active in the Northern Illinois Westhighland Terrier Club.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Mackey; sister, Jane (John) Whiteside of Arlington Heights; niece, Mary (Frank) Byrne of Hoffman Estates; and nephews, John (Barbara) Whiteside of Park Ridge, Jim (Michelle) Whiteside of Hoffman Estates and the Rev. Dan Whiteside of Winnetka.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, at Oehler Funeral Home, 555 Lee St., Des Plaines.

Patrick E. Marron of Bartlett
Funeral services for Patrick E. Marron, 69, will be held on Saturday, at Cypress Funeral Home, 1698 Bloomingdale Road, Glendale Heights, with closing prayers at 9:15 a.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. Isidore Church, 427 E. Army Trail Road, Bloomingdale.
He passed away at home Tuesday, Oct. 27, 1998. Interment will be in Assumption cemetery, Wheaton.
Mr. Marron worked as a mechanical engineer for his entire life, serving the wire industry, until retiring.
He is survived by his wife, Hannalora (nee Wiegmann); children, Colleen (Scott) Kinnaman, Catherine Marron, Linda Marron and Brian (Tami) Marron; and grandchildren, Amanda, Christopher, Kelsey and Alyssa. He was the brother of Rita (Gordon) Waggoner, Isabelle (Chuck) Shirley, Rosemary (Clifford) Laughlin, John Jr. (Martha), Robert (Velma), Joseph (Gloria), Ted (Nancy) and the late Ruth (Lou) Hill.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Margaret Marron.

Alan E. Martin formerly of Wheeling
Services for Alan E. Martin, 68, recently of Tucson, Ariz., will be held at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, at Kristan Funeral Home, P. C., 219 W. Maple Ave. (Route 176), Mundelein.
Mr. Martin died Thursday, Oct. 15, 1998.
He was a Marine veteran of the Korean War and was the recipient of two Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star.
He was married for 45 years to his loving wife, Patricia (nee Murray); and was the cherished father of Sharon (Bruce) Holly, Sue Tendering and Sandy (Ron) Lawrence; dear grandfather of Jennifer (Jared) Pendry, Jacqueline (Rich) Smith, Kim Coleman, Katie Bodie, Heather and Robert Huey, Alan and Erin Nicholas; and fond great-grandfather of Victoria, Carlton and Elaine Pendry and Meghan Smith. He is also survived by his mother, Freeda Martin of Bradenton, Fla.; brothers, Charles and Neil (Fran); sister, Lois (Elwood) Price; sisters-in-law, Dorthy (Herb) Lortz and Judith Pickering; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home.
