Mary Helen (Johnston) Hickman, 84, of Decatur, IL, died from congestive heart failure, at 10:15 A.M., Wednesday, October 24, 2007, at ManorCare Health Services, Decatur, IL.
Funeral services will be 12:00 P.M., Saturday, October 27, 2007, at Brintlinger & Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with visitation 6 to 8 P.M., Friday, October 26, 2007, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fairlawn cemetery, Decatur, IL. The family requests casual attire.

Mary was born September 6, 1923, in Jonesville, VA, the daughter of Andrew M. and Sue Lee (Gilbert) Johnston. She married
William Albert Hickman on February 20, 1946, in Hampton, VA.
Mary was a member of First Congregational United Church of Christ. She was co-owner and Bridge Director of Commodore Bridge Club in Decatur, IL; was a 1944 graduate of James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA; substitute teacher for Decatur Public Schools; member of Phi Kappa Sigma, Cotillion Club, Silver Life Master in ACBL, and a volunteer for DMH Auxiliary.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, William of Decatur, IL; children Susan Billman and husband Barry of Decatur, IL, Kathe Smith and husband Karl of Batavia, OH, Holli Tangney and husband Robert of Decatur, IL, William “Bo” Hickman and wife Christy of Clinton, IL, Becke Kaufman and husband Jim of Decatur, IL; 11 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; brother William Johnston and wife Carolyn of Myrtle Beach, SC; sister June Brown and husband William of Katy, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents.

Mary Eloise Hiser, 88, of Oreana, IL., passed away Saturday (05-03-2008) at 6:05 P.M. in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday (05-07-2008) at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL. with visitation on Tuesday (05-06-2008) from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL. Burial will be at Cerro Gordo cemetery, Cerro Gordo, IL. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home are handling the arrangements.

Eloise was born on December 20, 1919 in Milmine, IL., the daughter of Guy Wayne Dobson and Ferne (Turney) Dobson. She married
Milo E. Hiser on April 17, 1941 at the Milmine Christian Church in Milmine, IL.
She was a member of the Oakley United Methodist Church and upon its closing, she transferred her membership to the Garver Brick Church. Eloise worked for thirty years as a secretary for the Macon County Agriculture Stabilization and Conservation. She belonged to the Wednesday Friendship Club, and was a member of the Oakley Home Bureau. The family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. David Baumberger and his staff, Dr. William Franklin, D.M.H. I.C.U. and a special thank you to Lydia, Angela of I.C.U. and Connie from respiratory care.
Surviving are her husband Milo of Oreana, IL., ; daughter: Karen (Hiser) Nolan of Oreana, IL.; three grandchildren: Le Anne Mateer and husband Brian of Mt. Pleasant, MI., formerly of Forsyth, IL., Bob Laskowski and wife Pam of Mt. Zion, IL., and Jeff Laskowski and wife Lorie of Oreana, IL.; six great-grandchildren: Matthew Mateer, Lauren Mateer, Adrianna Laskowski, step great-grandson: Anthony Miller, Luke Laskowski, Rachel Laskowski, and Gabrielle Laskowski; and one sister Lorraine Albert and husband Adrian of Oakley, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters: Wilma Liestman and Carolyn Yordy, and one brother Wayne Dobson.
Eloise was very special, who was loved by everybody. She had a very loving and caring heart towards everyone. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.

Betty Jane Hoffman, 83, of Decatur, IL, relocated to Heaven Thursday, January 17, 2008, at 1:10 A.M. She had suffered a massive stroke a few days before.
Graveside services will be 1:00 P.M., Saturday, January 19, 2008 at Boiling Springs cemetery, Decatur, IL. Brintlinger & Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, will be handling the arrangements.

Betty Jane was born May 27, 1924 to Howard Franklin Jones and Dora Floyd Jones. She married
Nelson E. Hoffman on September 6, 1942, in Decatur, IL.
She worked for several years at K-Mart on Pershing Rd. in the Shoe Department. Betty Jane, our mother was always there for people in need of a home, a meal, or just a shoulder to cry on. She indeed was the hands and feet of Jesus. She prayed for all of us even when we didn’t ask. She and our Lord walked and talked together everyday, all the way from this earthly home to her new home in Heaven.
We her children, Marylin Chaney (husband Brad), and Mark Hoffman (wife Kimberly), along with many grandchildren, great grandchildren, brother William B. Jones (Bob and wife Anna), many precious nieces and nephews, and long time friends, will be keeping her in our minds and hearts to bring a smile to our faces when a tear of sorrow starts to fall. She was greeted in her new home by her husband Nelson, daughter Sharon and son Dennis.
Special thanks to Dr. Kahn and the staff at DMH for all the care and compassion during our mother’s final journey.

Funeral Mass will be 11:15 A.M., Friday, February 22, 2008, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Decatur, IL. Visitation will be 4 to 7 P.M. Thursday, February 21, 2008 at Brintlinger & Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with a Prayer Service at 7 P.M. Burial will be in Brown cemetery, Blue Mound Twp.

Anita was born April 28, 1928, in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Claude and Margaret (Culumber) Munster. She married
Vincent Thomas Hunt on August 31, 1946, in Decatur, IL. He preceded her in death on August 24, 1994.
Anita was the caregiver for family and friends whenever the need would arise. Her family and especially her grandkids and great grandkids were the love of her life. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church for many years.
She is survived by her daughter Linda (Mark) Hammer of Oreana; sons Thomas (Diane) Hunt and Bob (Pam) Hunt, all of Decatur; sisters Mary (Len) Fleckenstein of Springfield, IL, Kathryn (John) Green of Largo, FL; sister-in-law Mary Jane (Dike) Tuttle of Albuquerque, NM, Ruth Charlene Hunt of Decatur; brother-in-law David Younger of Decatur; grandchildren Lisa (James) Gowen of St. Jacob, IL, Scott (Bobbi) Hammer of Princeton, KY, Heather (John) Roberts of Mt. Zion, IL, Nick Hunt of Decatur, Suzanne and Jason Hunt of Decatur; great grandchildren Trinity, Ryan, and Logan Hammer, Amanda and Drew Gowen, John, Reid, and Lane Roberts, Madison and MaKayla Hunt.

Decatur - Forrest “Frosty” G. Hunt, 90, of Decatur, died 9:05 PM Saturday May 17, 2008 at his residence, surrounded by his daughters.
A Funeral service will be held 10 AM, Wednesday May 21, 2008 at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur. Visitation will be from 6 - 8 PM Tuesday evening. Burial will be at Mt. Gilead cemetery in Decatur.
Military rites are to be conducted by Macon County Honor Guard.

Forrest was born December 3, 1917, in Decatur, IL, the son of, Harry and Iva Belle (Larison) Hunt. He married
Betty Jane Mullikin on October 19, 1941 at the Cleveland Avenue Methodist Church in Decatur.
Forrest served in the United States Army Air Force during WWII. He served as a 1st Lieutenant and a Bombardier with the 459th Bomb Group, stationed in Italy. He flew 50 missions while in the service.
Forrest also worked for Caterpillar Tractor Company for many years retiring in January of 1983 and was a member of Caterpillar Retirees Club.
Forrest enjoyed his grandchildren, gardening, and was a member of Sharon United Methodist Church and formerly a member of Cleveland Avenue United Methodist Church, until the church closed.
Forrest is survived by five children, Judith (husband, Danny) Brummerstedt of Mt. Zion, Jan (husband, Jerry) Hunt-Mamula of Wooster, AR, James F. Hunt of Highland, AR, Penny (husband, Doug) Hunt-Dilbeck of Stonington, IL, Becky (husband, John) Forneris of Springfield, 12 grandchildren, and 24 great grandchildren.
Forrest was preceded in death by both parents, his wife-Betty Jane, and one brother-Francis.

Margaret I. Hunter, 95, of Decatur, IL, formerly of Chicago, IL, passed away on Friday, November 9, 2007 at Imboden Creek Living Center.
Memorial services will be held 3:00 P.M. Sunday, November 25, 2007, at Wesley United Methodist Church, Decatur. No visitation. Cremation rites were accorded. Burial will be in Owaneco cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home.
Margaret was born September 18, 1912 in Owaneco, IL, a daughter of Glenn and Bessie (Coffin) Hunter. She lived and worked as a bookkeeper in Chicago for many years before returning to Decatur. The last few years she was taken care of by the caring staff of Imboden Creek.
Family to remember all the great stories she told and all the times she made us laugh through-out her life are: Nephews: Lionel Hunter and wife Cheri, Merlyn Hunter and late wife Phyllis, all of Decatur, IL; Nieces: Judi Oyler, Cheryl Taylor and husband Dennis, all of Decatur, IL, Donna Parsons of Maysville, KY, and many great nieces and nephew and their families.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Kathryn Corn, brother and his wife, Kenneth and Delphi Hunter.

Scott was born June 24, 1958, in Decatur, IL, the son of David C. and Joan P. (Purdue) Jack. He married
Laurie Knoch in Decatur, IL. She preceded him in death on February 12, 2000.
He is survived by his father and mother, David and Joan of Decatur, IL; daughter Barbara McLaughlin and husband David of Painted Post, New York; brother David Jack and wife Amy of Brookline, MA; special nieces Suzanna and Emily.
Scott was a member of First Presbyterian Church, where he served as a Deacon. He attended Illinois State University, Richland Community College and Blackburn College. Scott formerly worked at ADM in the Hydro Pontics division.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, wife Laurie and brother Robert.

Betty Jagusch, 84, of Decatur, died Sunday, March 2, 2008, at Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 A.M. Thursday, March 6, at Camp Butler National cemetery, Riverton. There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Memorials may be made to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church.
Betty was born February 8, 1924, in Decatur, the daughter of Perry and Ella (Ray) Weldy.She graduated from Decatur High School in 1942. In June 1944, Betty enlisted in the WAC’s achieving the rank of 1st Sgt. prior to her honorable discharge in May 1946. After leaving the service she attended Brown’s Business College where she met her husband of 60 years, Robert Jagusch. Betty retired in 1987 from Miles Chevrolet after having served as a bookkeeper for 26 continuous years. Mrs. Jagusch enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, sudoku puzzles, reading, and gardening in the summer. She was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her husband Robert Jagusch of Decatur; daughter Linda Angle and husband Steven of Decatur; daughter Jean Graham of Decatur; son David Jagusch of Cerro Gordo; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers and one sister.
