Jeffrey Scott Miller, 46, of Decatur, died at 11:10 P.M., Sunday, February 10, 2008 at Decatur Memorial Hospital, Decatur, IL.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Friday, February 15, 2008, at Brintlinger & Earl Funeral Home, 2827 N. Oakland Avenue, Decatur, IL, with Pastor Kent King-Nobles officiating. Casual attire is encouraged. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M., Thursday, February 14, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Friends Creek cemetery, Argenta, IL. Memorials may be given to: College Fund/Christian & Scott Miller at Hickory Point Bank & Trust or the Boyd Family Cabin Fund.
Jeff was born June 1, 1961, in Decatur, IL, the son of Gerald and Wilma (Richards) Miller. He was a 1979 graduate of Eisenhower High School and a 1983 graduate of Eastern Illinois University. While attending Eastern Illinois University he met his future wife, Rachel Anne Tucker. They married August 11, 1984. Jeff was a life-long member of Faith Baptist Church, a loving husband and father, and had been employed by ADM for over 17 years.
Surviving are his wife, Rachel Miller of Decatur; sons Christian Matthew and Scott Thomas of Decatur; parents Gerald and Wilma Miller of Decatur; brother Michael of Argenta; sisters Tamara (Larry) Holder of Decatur and Janet (Kenneth) Hodge of Oreana; parents-in-law Thomas & Illene Tucker; grandmother-in-law Nellie Boyd; brother-in-laws Samuel Tucker of Manhattan (IL), Timothy Tucker of Chicago, and Benjamin Tucker of Blue Mound; and sister-in-law Michelle (Dean) Otta of Mt. Zion. Jeff leaves behind several nieces and nephews as well as GREAT friends: Erv & Linda Arends and the Chuck Newgard Family, to name a few.
Jeff was preceded in death by his grandparents Albert and Mae Miller, Leo and Viola Richards, and grandparents-in-law Tomy and Virgie Tucker and Lyle Boyd.
Jeff lived life to the fullest. He enjoyed the outdoors where he spent much of his free time hunting, fishing, and camping with his family. He also loved riding his motorcycle. Jeff enjoyed introducing his family to adventures whether skiing, rock climbing, rappelling, flying, and traveling to new and distant locals. Jeff will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Samuel C. Miller

Samuel C. Miller, 76, of Decatur, died Friday, November 9, 2007, in Manor Care Nursing Home.
Memorial services will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, November 12, at Central Christian Church. Visitation will be 4-6 P.M. Sunday, November 11, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or Central Christian Church.
Mr. Miller was born July 20, 1931, in Decatur, the son of Samuel Lester and Beulah Blanche (Weakley) Miller. Mr. Miller graduated from Oreana High School and entered in to the U.S. Air Force. He served from 1950-1953 and was stationed at Amarillo Air Force Base. He then worked for 15 years at Federal Kemper Insurance.
He married Suzie Lyman June 1, 1969, in Decatur. Mr. Miller then worked as a real estate agent for Tom Brinkoetter and Co. and later as a partner at Area One Realty.
Mr. Miller enjoyed playing golf at South Side Country Club, and also liked to play gin rummy. He was an avid Chicago Bears, St. Louis Cardinals, and U of I basketball fan. He was past president of the Decatur Board of Realtors and a member of Central Christian Church.
He is survived by his wife Suzie of Decatur; son Dane Miller of San Antonio, TX; son Kevin Miller and wife Kimberly of Decatur; daughter Kim Sagakhaneh and husband Abdolreza of St. Louis, MO; grandchildren: Sami and Kevin Sagakhaneh, and Audrey Miller; brother Don Miller of Palo Alto, CA; sister Joanne Hefner of Broomfield, CO.
Mr. Miller’s family wish to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Manor Care for their many months of caring for Sam during his illness.

Robert L. Mitsdarffer

Robert L. Mitsdarffer, 71, of Decatur, passed away at 9:52 p.m. Friday, April 18, 2008, at St. Mary’s Hospital.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
Memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association or to Homeward Bound Pet Shelter.
Mr. Mitsdarffer was born on February 10, 1937, in Piopolis, IL, the son of William Frank and Katherine (Engel) Mitsdarffer. He married Nancy M. Ferguson on May 4, 1974, in Joliet, IL.
Mr. Mitsdarffer graduated from S.I.U. in Carbondale. He taught U.S. Social Studies and Geography for Decatur Public School District #61, teaching at MacArthur High School and Thomas Jefferson Middle School, retiring in 1993. He attended St. James Catholic Church, and was a 50 year member of Elks Lodge #1882, McLeansboro, IL. Mr. Mitsdarffer enjoyed art, reading, gardening, antiquing, and traveling.
Surviving are his wife of 33 years, Nancy of Decatur; brothers and sisters Francis (Audrey) Mitsdarffer of Decatur, IL; Floann (Norman) Kirsch of McLeansboro, IL; Clarence (Lucy) Mitsdarffer of Evansville, IN; Marie Devoy of Enfield, IL; and sister-in-law Kay Mitsdarffer of McLeansboro, IL.
Mr. Mitsdarffer was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, and five brothers.

Richard K. Moore

Richard K. Moore, 89, of Decatur, passed away at 9:50 a.m., Monday, September 24, 2007, at McKinley Court Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be at 12:00 Noon, Thursday, September 27, 2007, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, with visitation one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Fairlawn cemetery, Decatur.
Memorials may be made to Pilgrim Lutheran Church.
Mr. Moore was born on March 1, 1918, in Lincoln, NE, the son of George Moore. He married Betty R. Schultz on April 5, 1941, in Decatur. Mr. Moore served in the U.S. Army during WWII and as a Military Policeman in England. He previously worked at Bob Donnelly’s for many years and was a member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church.
Surviving are his wife of 66 years Betty of Decatur, IL; son Walter George Moore and wife Carol of Roselle, IL; grandchildren Annette Pritz and husband John of Chicago, IL; Matt Moore and wife Jenny of Albuquerque, NM; brother George Moore of Ashland, IL; and sister Margaret Smith of Peoria, IL.
Mr. Moore was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.

Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M., Saturday, October 6, 2007, at Brintlinger & Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL. Visitation will be 6 to 8 P.M., Friday, October 5, 2007, at Brintlinger & Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL. Burial will be in Brown cemetery, Blue Mound Township.
Memorials may be made to Kylie Marie Moore Fund, c/o Land of Lincoln Credit Union 2890 N. Oakland Ave. Decatur, IL, where an account has been sent up in her name.
Kylie was born October 8, 2000, in Mt. Vernon, IL, the daughter of Kyle and Bessie M. (Moore) Rhoades. She was a first grader at Southside Elementary School in Effingham, IL. Kylie loved fishing, riding her bike and painting her nails.
She is survived by her father Kyle L. Rhoades of Hobbs, NM; mother and stepfather Bessie M. Moore and Stephen P. Barger of Decatur, IL; sisters Caylee Breann Rhoades and Cheyenne Reese Barger, both of Decatur, IL; grandparents Chris and Lynette Flanagan, Ron and Jenna Rhoades, Steve and Linda Barger, Robbie Moore and Tony Jayne, Thomas and Evelyn Moore; great grandparents Don and Georgetta “Mary” Grabb, Paul and Wynonna Smith; uncles Jason Rhoades, Randall Rhoades, Tom Moore”Scooter”; aunts Amy Kollman, Rebecca Moore, Renee Kinney.

Francis Marion Morr, 86, of Cerro Gordo, IL, died 4:06 A.M., Friday, November 2, 2007, at Bloomington Rehab and HCC Nursing Home, Bloomington, IL.
Funeral services will be 2:30 P.M., Sunday, November 4, 2007, at Brintlinger & Earl Cerro Gordo Funeral Home, Cerro Gordo, IL, with visitation one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Cerro Gordo cemetery.
Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society.
Francis was born June 14, 1921, in Decatur, IL, the son of Benjamin F. and Lola (Still) Morr. He married Alberta Hiser on December 22, 1947 in Decatur, IL. She preceded him in death in 1993.
Francis was a service man and mechanic for 35 years in agriculture.
He is survived by his son Thomas Morr and wife Norma of Heyworth, IL and grandson Travis.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Alberta, six brothers and one sister.

Lotus Marie Morr

Lotus Marie Morr, age 105, of Cerro Gordo, IL, died 5:40 A.M., Thursday, May 29, 2008, at Fair Havens Christian Home, Decatur, IL.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, June 4, 2008, at Cerro Gordo United Methodist Church, with visitation one hour prior to service time. Burial will be in Cerro Gordo cemetery. Brintlinger & Earl Funeral Home, Cerro Gordo, IL, will be handling the arrangements.
Memorials may be made to Cerro Gordo United Methodist Church or Fair Havens Christian Home.
Lotus was born February 28, 1903 in Oakley to Simon P. and Ada (Hedden) Hiser. She married Harry L. Morr on March 21, 1928 in Macon County. He preceded her in death on June 20, 1989.
Lotus was a member of Cerro Gordo United Methodist Church. She was a 4-H leader, loved quilting, and a member of Church Quilters and Peck Community Club. Lotus was a very good cook and was very active in her church.
She is survived by her daughters Evelyn Proctor and husband Harold of Cerro Gordo, IL, Kay Trummel and husband Phillip of Mt. Zion, IL; grandchildren Joyce Kirkland and husband Ron of Decatur, IL, Wanda Proctor of Fayetteville, AR, Carl Proctor and wife Lynne of Cerro Gordo, IL, Terry Proctor and wife Cheryl of Collinsville, IL, Darin Proctor and wife Robin of Indianapolis, IN, Stacey Hamill and husband Dan of Ann Arbor, MI; 9 great grandchildren, 1 step great great grandchild; brothers Milo Hiser of Oreana, IL, Ralph Hiser and wife Helen of Decatur, IL; sister-in-law Elsie Hiser of Columbus, OH.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Harry, 4 brothers, 1 sister, and 2 grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the staff at Fair Havens Christian Home for all their care.

Alberta Lee Mudd

Alberta was born on August 12, 1945, in Mattoon, IL, to Henry and Cressie (Yargus) Weaver. Alberta and her sister Henrietta were raised by Theodore and Louise Ritter. She married James Mudd on May 2, 1965, in Decatur, and he survives. Alberta worked for many years at Bement Nursing Home as a Certified Nurses Assistant.
Surviving are her daughters Tina Dodge and husband Rick of Bement, IL; Tanya Mudd of Cerro Gordo, IL; grandchildren Kerby Mudd, Desiree Dodge, Jimmy Dodge, and Dalton Collingwood; great grandson Clayton Mudd; sister Henrietta Hentz and husband Vernon of Santa Clara, NM; and 9 other siblings.
