Anne Louise Ralin, 63, of Decatur, IL, died Monday, May 12, 2008, at St. Mary’s Hospital.
Memorial visitation will be 5 to 7 P.M., Thursday, May 15, 2008, at Brintlinger & Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL.
Memorials may be made to National Mental Health Association.
Anne was born November 28, 1944, in Norfolk, VA, the daughter of Leon and Berna (Lundgren) Charbonneau.
She is survived by her children Rebecca Chirevas and husband Jason of Bronx, NY, David Ralin and wife Minosa of South Pasadena, CA; granddaughter Perah; brothers Leon Charbonneau of Bellingham, WA and Bill Charbonneau of Houston, TX; sisters Jeanne Rashap of Hamilton, NY and Erna Charbonneau of Decatur, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents.

Ella Marie Ramsey

Ella Marie (Duesing) Ramsey was born on January 8, 1925, in Youngstown, Ohio to Frank W. Duesing and Anna (Kayati) Duesing.
She received her identity as a child of God through the Sacrament of Baptism as an infant and confirmed her faith in the Triune God through the Rite of Confirmation at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Youngstown, Ohio.
Ella was a committed disciple of Jesus Christ her whole life and exercised that discipleship through Immanuel Lutheran, Youngstown, Ohio, Gloria Dei Lutheran in Nassau Bay, Texas, and St. Paul’s Lutheran in Decatur, Illinois. Among other ministries, Ella was a Sunday School teacher, taught vacation Bible school, particpated in the Ladies’ Aid, and was involved in the prayer chain ministry.
On June 17, 1944, she married her high school sweetheart, Walter Ellis Ramsey. Four children were born of that union: Pastor Tom Ramsey (Peg) of Ponca City, OK; Nancy Grischow (Larry) of Decatur, IL; Jim Ramsey (Debbie) of Fredricksburg, TX; and Jayne Powers (Scott) of Decatur, IL. She also leaves grandchildren Jeff (Christina), Brian (Gina), Larry Walter (Merilee), Carrie (Jim), Jason (Raylene), Ellen (Steve), Katherine, Anna, Josh, Jill, Jane, Kate, and Jacob; 11 great grandchildren; and brothers Frank Duesing of Cleveland, OH; and Richard Duesing (Phyllis) of Fairfax, VA.
Ella died on January 25, 2008 at the age of 83. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Lois Reid, and grandson Colin Headrick.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 29, 2008, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, with visitation one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Boiling Springs cemetery, Decatur. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Homes, Decatur, are handling the arrangements.
Memorials may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church or Fair Havens Christian Home.

Dorothy M. Reece

Dorothy M. Reece, 87, of Decatur, passed away at 12:27 p.m. Friday, May 9, 2008, at St. Mary’s Hospital.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 12, at Calvary Baptist Church, with visitation one hour prior to services. Burial will be at 3:00 p.m. Monday, May 12, in Old Shiloh cemetery, Mt. Vernon, IL.
Memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church.
Dorothy was born on January 21, 1921, in Mt. Vernon, IL, the daughter of June Clifford and Ollie Mae (Moyer) Hicks. She married William Reece on March 21, 1942, in Mt. Vernon.
Dorothy worked as a supervisor for Mt. Vernon Garment Factory until 1946, after ten years of service. She was a homemaker most of her life. She was a wonderful cook, seamstress, and enjoyed keeping her husband William on the straight and narrow. Dorothy was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and formerly a member of Park Avenue Baptist Church from 1942-1959.
Surviving are her husband of 66 years, William “Jeep”, of Decatur; daughters Linda Jean Reece and Marsha Kay Carter, both of Decatur; grandchildren Kresta Braswell and husband Danny of Jacksonville, FL, Saria Saccocio and husband Seth of Rome, GA, Amy Kirk and husband Brian of Mt. Zion, IL, and Adam Buxton and wife Erin of Decatur, IL; great grandchildren Jessie, Justin, Grace, Carter and Ella; brother William Hicks and wife Alice of Windsor, IL; and sister Ruth Shockley of Vienna, MO.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Lloyd Hicks, Willis Hicks, Carl Hicks, Harry Hicks, and Kenneth Hicks, sisters Virginia Bushong and Hallie East.

Mary Lucille Moore Rex

Mt. Zion - Mary Lucille Moore Rex 95 of Mt. Zion, died 5:05 AM Sunday, March 30, 2008 at Heritage Manor in Mt. Zion.
There will be a private family service. Memorials have been suggested to Heritage Manor. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home has been assisting the family with arrangements.
Mrs. Rex was born October 31, 1912 in Oakdale, TN, the daughter of William and Mamie Lee (Jackson) Moore. She married Paul A. Rex. He is deceased. She is retired from Davis Cleaners and Schnepp’s Association.
She is the mother Janiece Angove of Oil City, PA; Mary Grout of Flandreau, S.D.; Mildred Tuvell of Glendale, AZ, ; Charlotte McGuire of Grandfield, OK and Patricia Blair, Mae “Fran” Sheets, Paula Rex and Paul Rex II, all of Decatur; 24 Grandchildren, 19 Great Grandchildren and 11 Great Great Grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her mother, father and 3 sisters.

Frances Rexroad

Decatur - Frances Rexroad, 85, passed from this life and entered into the gates of heaven on December 12, 2007, at 12:47 A.M. She was met there by her beloved husband Carl Rexroad and daughter Carol Rexroad-Elliott.
Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. - 12:00 P.M., Monday, December 17, 2007, at Brintlinger & Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with Funeral Services following visitation at the funeral home. Burial will be in Graceland cemetery, Decatur, IL.
Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or Christ United Methodist Church.
Frances was born August 16, 1922, in Rogers, Arkansas, the daughter of Joseph and Frieda Ethridge. She married Carl Rexroad on August 16, 1941 in Shelby County. He preceded her in death in 1977.
Mrs. Rexroad was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Decatur, Women’s Council, Owen Scott Chapter of the Eastern Star, Ida Peabody Circle and RSVP. She worked as a claims adjuster for Federal Kemper Insurance Company for many years before retiring. Mrs. Rexroad enjoyed quilting and won several awards, enjoyed painting, knitting and crochet. She was active in the Red Hat Society. Mrs. Rexroad declared herself a lifelong resident of Decatur, IL.
She is survived by her sons Edward (Judy) Rexroad of Decatur, IL, John (Cathy) Rexroad of Charleston, IL; son-in-law George Elliott of Spokane, WA; 11 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; brothers Floyd (Catherine) Ethridge of Corpus Christi, TX, Joe (Juanita) Ethridge of Charleston, IL, David (Joni) Ethridge of LaPeer, MI, Eugene (Shirley) Ethridge of Homer, IL, Richard (Nancy) Ethridge of Joliet, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Carl, daughter Carol Elliott, sister Marcella Harold.

Robert Noah Reynolds

Robert Noah Reynolds, 73, of Decatur, IL, died Sat., March 15, 2008 at Decatur Memorial
Services for Mr. Reynolds will be held at a later date.
Brintlinger & Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, will be handling the arrangements. Robert was born May 1, 1934 at Metropolis, IL, the son of Noah Phillip & Anna Lee (Walbright) Reynolds. He was a retired auto mechanic, loved to travel and play music. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Surviving are four children: Lola F. Reinking of Decatur, Robert K. Reynolds & Wife Debbie of Lovington, Ray D. Reynolds and Wife Jennifer of Decatur and Ethel J. Heckler and Husband Alan of Desloge, MO. Six grandchildren, thirteen greatgrandchildren and three greatgreatgrandchildren survive. Sisters: Rosedale Chatham and Husband Abe of Metropolis and Bertha S. Shumaker and Husband Olin of Flora. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, two wives, one son and two brothers.

Esther was born June 11, 1915, in Findlay, IL, the daughter of Stanley and Ethel (Garman) Pogue. She married Edward William Reynolds on November 14, 1942, in Decatur, IL. He preceded her in death on June 16, 1987.
She was a lifetime member of Central United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her children Vera Nauta of Tuscola, IL, David Edward Reynolds and wife Vicki of Decatur, IL; grandchildren Margaret Nauta and husband Jef Kahn of Bloomington, IL, Eric R. Reynolds of Decatur, IL, Cory E. Reynolds and wife Ginger of Memphis, TN; great-grandchildren Harris Kahn and Isaac Reynolds; brother Don Pogue and wife Janet of Arkansas; sister Ella Guymon of Decatur, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Edward, son Joseph William Reynolds, brother Dale Pogue, sister Eva Thatcher.

Louis F. Ribordy, 79, of Latham, IL, died 10:21 P.M., Wednesday, October 24, 2007, at Decatur Memorial Hospital, Decatur, IL.
Visitation and Remembrances will be from 1:30 - 3:00 P.M., Saturday, October 27, at Brintlinger & Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, followed by private family burial at Lake Bank cemetery, Latham, IL.
Louis was born August 2, 1928, in Pontiac, IL, the son of Louis Franklin and Mae (Shannon) Ribordy. He married Virginia Holdridge on June 3, 1950 in Pontiac, IL.
Louis was active in the Boy Scouts and obtained the rank of Eagle Scout; was a U.S. Navy veteran; graduated from Millikin University in 1951, where he was a member of S.A.E. Fraternity; and was a partner in the CPA firm of Murphy, Jenne, & Jones, retiring in 1987.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Virginia, of Latham, IL; children Mrs. Karen (Bruce) Nims of Decatur, IL, Mrs. Lynn (Gary) Letterly of Latham, IL, Clark (Della) Ribordy of Louisburg, KS; grandchildren Becky Nims, Aaron and Kevin Letterly, Brook, Mesa and Dalton Ribordy.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Douglas-Hart Nature Center, Mattoon, IL or Mason Point, Sullivan, IL.
