Marjorie Ellen Stockdale, 87, of Findlay, IL, died 12:46 P.M., Monday, May 19, 2008, at Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M., Thursday, May 22, 2008, at Brintlinger & Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with visitation 6 to 8 P.M., Wednesday, May 21 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. Gilead cemetery.
Memorials may be made to American Legion Children’s Youth.
Marjorie was born April 13, 1921, in Assumption, IL, the daughter of Floyd and Lucille (Storey) Weakly. She married Lester Stockdale on September 19, 1973 in Decatur, IL.
Marjorie was a member of First Christian Church in Findlay, IL. She worked for Marvel Schebler for 32 years as a shipping and packing clerk and was active with American Legion Women’s Auxiliary for many years, serving as Past President of the organization.
She is survived by her husband Lester of Decatur, IL; son Oscar LeRoy and wife Marilyn Weakley of Findlay, IL, stepdaughters Donna Thomas and husband Murrell of Amherst, VA, Darlene Furtak and husband Ed of Ashland, KY; grandchildren Rebecca Purdeu of Hillsboro, IN, Robert Weakley of Santa Fe, NM, Richard Weakley of Memphis, TN; 5 great grandchildren, 11 step grandchildren, 14 step great grandchildren, 4 step great great grandchildren; brother-in-law Dwight Stockdale and wife Melba of Decatur, IL; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 1st husband O.J. Weakley, 2nd husband Merle Trimmer and sister Virginia Shoemaker.

Richard Lee "Dick" Stone, Sr.

Richard Lee “Dick” Stone, Sr., 67, of Decatur, IL, died 12:39 P.M., Wednesday, April 23, 2008, at St. Mary’s Hospital, Decatur, IL.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M., Monday, April 28, 2008 at Brintlinger & Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with visitation 5 to 7 P.M., Sunday, April 27, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Harristown cemetery with a dove release.
Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society.
Dick was born March 26, 1941, in Monticello, IL, the son of Edgar J. and Dorothy (Kingston) Stone. He married Agnes Kay Ritchey on June 13, 1990 in Las Vegas, NV.
Dick worked for Fagin International Farm Implement Co., L.F. Porter Construction Co, Monticello School District as a bus driver, Robert Fombelle Trucking Co. and Luke Collins Trucking, and most recently was co-owner and operator of Stone Trucking, Inc. from 1990 - 1999.
He is survived by his wife Agnes Kay of Decatur, IL; daughters Jackie Carr and husband Douglas, Toni Sommers and husband Jerry, all of Monticello, IL; son Rick Stone, Jr. and wife Debbie of Cisco, IL; step-sons Keith Ritchey and wife Bridget of Pittsburg, KS, Brian Ritchey and friend Marsha Cox of Decatur, IL; 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; brothers Robert Stone of Mansfield, IL, Eugene Stone of Monticello, IL; sisters Ruby Perry of Champaign, IL, Virginia Ann Stone of Champaign, IL, Faith Kennedy and husband Charles of Troy, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents and infant sister.

Nancy Elizabeth Suzewits
July 20, 1936 - October 30, 2007

Nancy Elizabeth Suzewits, 71, of Decatur, died Tuesday, October 30, 2007, in her home.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, November 2, at St. James Catholic Church, with visitation 5-8 P.M. Thursday, November 1, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home. Burial will be in Brown cemetery, Blue Mound, Twp.
Memorial may be made to St. James Catholic Church or DMH Hospice.
Nancy was born July 20, 1936, in Decatur, the daughter of John and Anna (Boehm) Hunt. She worked for ten years as a clerk for the Circuit Clerk’s Office of Macon County. She formerly worked for Norfolk/Southern Railroad for fifteen years. Nancy was a graduate of St. Teresa High School, and a member of St. James Catholic Church.
She is survived by her sons: Steven Suzewits and wife Jamie of Decatur; Jeffrey Suzewits and wife Joan of Kirksville, MO; grandchildren: Jeremy, Jared, Matthew, Evan, Katherine, and Andrew; sister: Mary Jane Tuttle and husband Dike of Albuquerque, NM; sisters-in-law: Anita Hunt of Decatur; Charlene Hunt of Decatur; brother-in-law: Dave Younger of Decatur; several special nieces and nephews, along with her longtime friends.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Patrick Hunt, Vincent Hunt, and Francis Hunt, and sisters, Barbara Younger and Joan Ponik.
The family would like to give special thanks to her sister-in-law Anita for the wonderful care she provided. They would also like to thank Angie and Tina from DMH Hospice for all their care and comfort given to Nancy.
Her sense of humor and wit will be greatly missed.

Carol Ann Taylor

Carol Ann Taylor, 63, of Decatur, IL, died 3:26 P.M., Wednesday, April 23, 2008, at Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M., Monday, April 28, 2008, at Brintlinger & Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with visitation one hour prior to service time. Cremation Rites will be accorded. Memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association or Heartland Community Church.
Carol was born June 17, 1944 in Bakersfield, CA, the daughter of Merle E. and Zerene S. Crank. She married George R. Taylor on May 25, 1978 in Decatur, IL.
Carol attended Heartland Community Church. She loved taking care of children.
She is survived by her husband George R. Taylor of Decatur, IL; sister-in-law Joanne Dial; nieces Rebekah Dial, Angel Dial, Christina Anderson and husband Brian and great nieces Brianna Anderson and Makayla Dial, Erica Dial, Barb Chapman and husband David and great nephew David and great niece Cassandera, Ruth Basile and husband Kevin; great aunt Irene Duncan; step grandmother Zelma Taylor, all of Decatur, IL.
She was preceded in death by her foster parents and one step-sister.

Pat Thatcher

Pat Thatcher, 67, of Niantic, IL, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, at 3:10 A.M. Monday (05-26-2008), at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday (05-29-2008) at the Niantic United Methodist Church.
Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday (05-28-2008) at Brintlinger & Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL. and one hour prior to service time at the church. Burial will be in Illini cemetery, Warrensburg, IL. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home are handling the arrangements.
Memorials may be made to Niantic United Methodist Church.
Pat was born August 18, 1940, in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Robert F. and Marjorie L. Warnick. She was a graduate of Warrensburg-Latham High School and attended Ilinois State University and the University of Illinois, where she majored in Home Economics. Pat worked for Worden-Martin Auto Dealership in Champaign, IL for 2 years as a bookkeeper and most recently was bookkeeper for Thatcher Farm, Inc.
She married Bob Thatcher on January 31, 1960, at Central United Methodist Church, Decatur, IL. Pat was an active member of Niantic United Methodist Church, serving in a number of roles. She was a member of United Methodist Women, was chairman of the church Food Pantry and volunteered at the Food Bank. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Surviving are her husband of 48 years, Bob of Niantic, IL; daughter Suzy McKinney and husband Joel of Avon, IN, Tom Thatcher and wife Lisa of Decatur, IL; grandchildren David McKinney, Jessica McKinney, Rachel McKinney, Austin Thatcher, Morgan Thatcher, Jadyn Thatcher, Summer Thatcher; sisters Nancy Taylor and husband Jim of Decatur, IL, Joyce Johnston and husband Bob of Brownsburg, IN; brother Gary Warnick and Linda of Springfield, IL; sisters Pegg Warnick of Avon, IN, Carol Carlton and husband Steve of Decatur, IL; sister-in-law Karen Warnick of Decatur, IL.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Bob.
Pat will be greatly missed, however her kindness, thoughtfulness, and generosity will be remembered by her friends and family.

Richard Leroy "Dick" Thompson

Richard Leroy “Dick” Thompson, 66, of Oreana, IL, passed away Thursday, May 8, 2008, at his residence.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 13, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur. Visitation will be 5 -7 p.m. Monday, May 12, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Old Stonington cemetery, Stonington, IL, with military rites conducted by the Macon County Honor Guard.
Dick was born December 22, 1941, in Stonington, the son of Charles Ariel and Juanita (Hale) Thompson.
Dick served his country with the U.S. Army, and had worked as a computer operator at Firestone for over 30 years. He will be remembered for conversations with family and friends.
Surviving are his sons Brian Thompson and friend Diane Roberts of Illiopolis, IL; Brad Thompson and wife Cynthia of Rockford, IL; Brett Thompson and wife Angela of Plainfield, IL; grandchildren Mazzie, Alyssa, Dlyan, Lukas, Lyvia, and niece Linda Curtin and husband Ben of Stonington, IL.
Dick was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Susanne, and sister Wilma Vasseur.

Marie M. Tolbert, 101, of Decatur, IL, died 9:10 A.M., Thursday, September 20, 2007, at Heritage Manor, Mt. Zion, IL.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Saturday, September 29, 2007, at First Church of the Nazarene, Decatur, IL. Visitation will be 10:00 A.M. - 12:00 P.M., Saturday, September 29, 2007 at First Church of the Nazarene. Burial will be in Mt. Gilead cemetery, Decatur, IL.
Marie was born July 25, 1906, in Louisville, IL, the daughter of Pearlie and Maggie (Cooper) O’Dell. She married Paul O. Tolbert in 1926. He preceded her in death on March 4, 1990.
Marie was a member of First Church of the Nazarene. She worked at Decatur Memorial Hospital as a nursery aid for 20 years, retiring in 1972.
She is survived by her children Lois Schroeder and husband William R. of Decatur, IL, Joyce Winn and husband Robert of Westerville, OH, Thomas Tolbert and wife Marie of Pana, IL, John Tolbert of Nanicoke, PA; sister-in-law Evelyn Tolbert of Moweaqua, IL; 18 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Paul, son Paul G.Tolbert, grandson Anthony Tolbert, one brother and one sister.

Robert Lee Tolson, 71, of Decatur, IL., died on Saturday (04-12-2008) at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday (04-18-2008) at Sunnyside Church of Christ Decatur, IL., with visitation on Thursday (04-17-2008) from 6:00- 8:00 P.M. at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home. Burial will be at Boiling Springs cemetery Decatur, IL. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
Memorials may be made to: Sunnyside Church of Christ.
Robert was born on March 2, 1937 in Jeff, Kentucky, the son of Timothy William Tolson and Minnie Stacy Tolson. He married Shelia Ann Shields on May 15, 1967 in Chicago, IL.
He was affiliated with the Sunnyside Church of Christ. Robert was a coin collector and enjoyed music and movies.
Robert is survived by his wife Shelia of Decatur; daughter: Minnie Simpson of Decatur, IL.; two sisters: Mary Howell and Susie Howell both of Bakersfield, CA.; one brother: Edward Tolson and wife Tillie of Florida, ; four grandchildren, six great- grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, step-son Billy Ray Tolson who passed away in 1985, one sister and seven brothers.
