Harry W. Waters of Carpentersville
Services for Harry W. Waters, 76, will be held at 11 a.m. today, at Miller Funeral Home, 504 W. Main St., West Dundee. The Rev. Thomas G. Conner will officiate.
Born April 20, 1922, in Royalton, Ill., to William A. And Emma L. (nee Hardcastle) Waters, he died Sunday, Feb. 21, 1999, at his home. Burial will be in Dundee Township East Cemetery, East Dundee.
Mr. Waters had been a resident of Carpentersville since 1955. Prior to his retirement, he had worked for 38 years at Pepsi Cola where he was a regional sales manager. A veteran, he had served in the Navy during World War II and was an active member and former post officer of Dundee VFW Post 2298. Mr. Waters was also a former Carpentersville police commissioner and police pension board member, and, in addition, had been a member of the Carpentersville Kiwanis Club. Harry was active in sports and quite a sports enthusiast.
Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Eleanor Waters (nee Osieczanek), whom he married Nov. 27, 1944; sons, Bruce Waters of Carpentersville and Rick (Janice) Waters of Crystal Lake; grandchildren, Daniel, Rex, Loni and Marni; great-granddaughter, Ashley; and sister, Dorcas Hansen of Skokie.
He was preceded in death byhis brothers, Rex, Lex, Landy, Lee and Jack; and sister, Bessie.

John `Jack' Wellbank of Arlington Heights
Services for John `Jack' Wellbank, 74, will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, at Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road (four blocks south of Palatine Road), Arlington Heights, and continue with Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Edna Catholic Church, 2525 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights.
Born Dec. 18, 1924, in Philadelphia, Pa., he died Monday, Feb. 22, 1999, at his home. Burial will be in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.
A veteran, Mr. Wellbank had served in the
Army Air Corps during World War II. He retired from Sears Roebuck in Oak Brook after more than 30 years of service. Among his special interests, he enjoyed golfing 
and electronics. Jack was a wonderful husband, dad and grandpa. Hisfamily could especially rely on him to help with building projects and household repairs.
He was the beloved husband for 49 years of Mary Wellbank (nee Reynolds); loving father of Mary Ann (Paul) Wellbank-Smietanka of Clancy, Mont., John (Sarah) Wellbank of Cincinnati, Ohio, Steven (Eileen) Wellbank of Carol Stream and Melissa (Anthony) Gordon of Sandy, Utah; and proud grandfather of nine. He was also the dear brother of Harry (Margaret) Wellbank of Crystal Lake, Donald (Carol) Wellbank of Park Ridge, and the late Richard Wellbank; and caring brother-in-law of Jacolyn Wellbank of Park Ridge.

Frieda Bauerle Munz of Fairbury, Ill.
Services for Frieda Bauerle Munz, 80, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, at First Presbyterian Church in Fairbury, Ill.
Born June 25, 1918, in Spring Bay, Ill., to the Rev. Karl and Elmira (nee Heinhorst) Bauerle, she died Tuesday, Feb. 23, 1999, at her home.
Mrs. Munz attended grade schooland high school in Dwight, LaSalle and Plainfield, where her father served as a minister in the Evangelical (Methodist) Church. She attended North Central College for two years and then entered the Presbyterian Hospital nursing program in Chicago. She completed that program in 1941 and became a registered nurse. For many years she worked atFairbury Hospital, primarily in surgery.
Surviving are her sons, John (Betsy) Munz of San Francisco, Calif., Tom (Janet) Munz of Mount Prospect and Jim (Karen) Munz of Fairbury; sister, Elmira Claney of Fairbury; and grandchildren, John Hartzell, Courtney, David, Katie, John Walter, Brian and Greg.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J. Hartzell Munz, whom she married Oct. 18, 1943, in San Antonio, Texas, and who preceded her June 28, 1993; three sisters; and two brothers.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, 100 W. Maple St., Fairbury, and from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, at the church.

He was the beloved husband of Amanda Cores (nee Scarpelli); loving son of Fred P. and Diane Cores; dear brother of Fred M. (ChiHyon), James (Bobbie), Donna, Paul (Melissa), Andrew (Carla) and Joe Cores and Debra (Anthony) Mangiaracina; loving godfather of Jordan Michael Cores and Samantha Diane Mangiaracina; and dear uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Cynthia S. Banach formerly of Mount Prospect and Hanover Park
Services for Cynthia S. Banach, 47, of Easton, Pa., were held at Ashton Funeral Home in Easton.
Born Aug. 10, 1951, in Chicago, the daughter of John and Margaret (nee Chutka) Slivka, she died Monday, Feb. 15, 1999, at Easton Hospital in Easton.
Burial was in Forks Cemetery, Forks Township, Pa.
She grew up in Mount Prospect since 1954, attended Central School and graduatingfrom Prospect High School. She later moved to Hanover Park and then to Easton in 1991. An antique vendor, she was known as the `Chicken Lady' at Granny's Cupboard in Easton.
Survivors include her husband of 28 years, Edward P., whom she married in May 1960; daughters, Jennifer L. and Rebecca K. and son, Brian C., all of Easton; and an aunt, uncle and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents.

Rose H. Bauer of Carpentersville

Born Aug. 11, 1925, in Petersburg, Ind., to Ralph and Rena (nee Burkhart) Reed, she died Tuesday, Feb. 23, 1999, at her home. Burial will be in Dundee Township East Cemetery, East Dundee.
A resident of Carpentersville for 45 years, Mrs. Bauer was a member of St. MonicaChurch and the Ladies Auxiliary VFW 5915 in Carpentersville. She was a former longtime employee of Wonder Bread inElgin.
Survivors include her daughters, Janice (Michael) Atwell of Lemon Grove, Calif., Joyce (Michael) Buckley of Wonder Lake and Brenda (Richard) Miller of Cary; grandchildren, Corissa, Jessica, Ryan, Andrea, Amber, Anthony, Nicholas and Leela; brother, Ralph (Lorraine) Reed of Hillside; and sisters, Helene Yarbrough of Melrose Park and Doris (Fred) Dickerson of San Diego, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Lawrence F. Bauer, on May 4, 1994.

William G. Beyer of Crystal Lake
A funeral Mass for William G. Beyer, 73, will be celebrated at noon Saturday, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, Route 176 and Oak Street, Crystal Lake. The Rev. Geoffrey Wirth will officiate.
Born Feb. 15, 1926, in Menominee, Mich., to Alfred A. and Eleanor P. (nee Vandenberg) Beyer, he died Wednesday, Feb. 24, 1999, at Sherman Hospital, Elgin, following heart surgery. Interment will be private.
Mr. Beyer was a Navy veteran of World War II and a 1950 graduate of Marquette University School of Journalism. He was a freelance writer for both his own company, Communications Arts in Crystal Lake, and for Village Profile in Bloomingdale. He was also formerly the vice president of Public Communications Inc. in Chicago, public relations manager for Parker Pen Company in Janesville, Wis., and city editor of the Post Tribune in LaSalle, Ill. Mr.
Beyer was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Crystal Lake and the Crystal Lake Chamber of Commerce, and was a 28-year friend of Lois W. Survivors include his wife, Marmee Beyer of Crystal Lake, whom he married Dec. 27, 1952, in Spring Valley; sons, Mark (Tracy) Beyer and David (Cindy) Beyer; and grandchildren, Jonathan, Michael, Kelli, Katie, Steven, Jessica and Daniel.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Elaine; and son, William Beyer Jr.

Fannie `Fran' Booth of Arlington Heights

Born Jan. 13, 1908, she died Wednesday, Feb. 24, 1999, at Medbridge ManorCare in Arlington Heights. Burial will be at 1 p.m. Monday, in Glen Eden Cemetery, Livonia, Mich.
Mrs. Booth was a former office manager for the Chamber of Commerce in Plymouth, Mich., and a former bookkeeper for St. PeterLutheran Church in Arlington Heights. She was an avid bowler until the age of 90.
Survivors include her daughter, Barbara (Mike) Keller of Portage, Mich.; grandchildren, Kevin and Charles Oja of Arlington Heights, Kimberly (David) Chrabolowski and Michael Sean Keller; and great-grandchildren, Samantha, Christopher, Steven, David, Rachael andRyan.
She was preceded in death by her husband, B. Horton Booth.

Mr. Chipp was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Church and the DuPage Board of Realtors. He will be especially remembered for being a devoted family man.

Kenneth Earl Collis of Lake County

Mr. Collis was a Navy veteran of World War II and a former 20-year employee of Culligan Inc. of Northbrook.
He is survived by his son, James (Cheryl Davis) Collis of Arlington Heights. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor C. Collis (nee Johnson), who passed away Oct. 13, 1993.
