She worked for the Rock Island Arsenal from December 1973, taking an early retirement in April 2006. She furthered her education by attending classes at Black Hawk College, and classes provided by RIA, until she decided that her brain couldn’t take any more stuff. She loved to read, write, watch movies, trivia, play with kids, craft projects of any weird kind, spirituality, and hanging out with family and friends. She liked working in the yard for about 2 minutes, determined it was work, then enjoyed looking at other peoples labors. In younger years, liked camping, swimming, sunning herself and toasting life with a few pints at local establishments. She had many wonderful friends that she grew up with, and lifelong relationships with people she met throughout her years at work and play. Humor, smiling, laughter, and talking naughty were some of her trademarks. She is survived by the love of her life, her best friend, confident, main squeeze and spiritual half, Herb Allison, his two boys, Jay and Jon, and Jon’s beautiful girls, Jordan, Jenna, Marisa, and McKenzie. Her father and great friend, Fred Briesch, Moline, brother Bill (Kayla) Briesch, Grand Island, NE, brother-in-law, Larry Borden, Moline: nephews and nieces, Natasha (Kevin) Moninski, Raymond Briesch (Wendy), John Briesch (Maria), Velvet Eggert (Mike), Kelley Briesch, Jamie Briesch, Katie Briesch, and Billy Tague and all of their wonderful children. These kids provided such joy, laughter, love and pride throughout their childhood and into adulthood. Also, a very special cousin, Patricia Hughes, Rock Island. She is preceded in death by her mother Rose Marie Briesch; brother Fred; two very special sisters, Bonnie and Beverly, who meant the world and everything in it to her; brother-in-law Ross Hailey; nephew, Freddie; and great-nephew Braxton. Sharon would like those who knew her to take a moment when they can, say a prayer, share a story and some laughter, raise a glass and SMILE! The preceding was brought to you by the deceased (yea, its me, Sharon Lee). Oh, yeah, another of Sharon’s ambitions was to be a published writer, and now SHE IS! Love and Peace to you all.
