Olive D. Jeffries

PALESTINE, Ill. - Olive D. Jeffries, 90, of Palestine died at 1:03 p.m. Monday, June 24, 2002, in Sullivan County Community Hospital in Sullivan, Ind. She was born Dec. 4, 1911, in Palestine to Tad Cooper and Gladys Milam Cooper. Her husband, Ray Jeffries, died April 21, 1993. Survivors include one daughter, Phyllis Clark; two grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; three nieces; and two nephews. Services are 2 p.m. Friday in Goodwine Funeral Home, with the Rev. James Delaney II officiating. Burial is in Palestine cemetery. Visitation is 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday and before services Friday.

March M. Bonham

ANNAPOLIS, Ill. - March M. Bonham, 86, of Annapolis died at 9:50 a.m. Tuesday, July 30, 2002, in Crawford Memorial Hospital in Robinson. She was born March 20, 1916, in Licking Township, Crawford County, to Barton Willard Tracy and Eva Boyles Tracy. Her husband, Berl Bonham, died Sept. 29, 1987. Survivors include two daughters, Betty Powell and LaDonna Stant; two sons, Larry Bonham and Roger Bonham; two grandsons; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Services are 10 a.m. Friday in Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson, with the Rev. Jeff Monroney officiating. Burial is in Mount Pleasant cemetery. Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. today.

Harold Wayne Finley

WESTFIELD, Ill. - Harold Wayne Finley, 83, of Westfield died at 10:15 p.m., Friday, May 30, 2003, in Terre Haute Regional Hospital. He was a retired farmer and heavy equipment operator, and was a former employee of Connelly Gravel. He also was a supervisor in Westfield Township for 28 years. He was born Feb. 29, 1920, in Broadlands to Willard Finley and Mary Alverta McDaniel Finley. Survivors include his wife, Mary Rose Curran Finley, whom he married June 1, 1940; one daughter, Anita Cheesman and her husband, Jim of Terre Haute; two sons, Gene Finley and his wife, Bonnie of Terre Haute and Tom Finley and his wife, Ruth Ann of Greenup; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three stepgreat-granddaughters; and two stepgreat-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; one infant son; three brothers, Raymond, Elbert and Ellis Finley; and three sisters, Ruth Finley, Gladys Landry and Pauline Beauchamp. He was a resident of Royal Oaks Health Care & Rehabilitation Center in Terre Haute. He was a member of International Union of Operating Engineers in Terre Haute. He loved to travel and had visited every state in the continental United States except Louisiana. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and was a racoon hunter, fisherman and an Illini basketball fan. Services are 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Markwell Westfield Chapel, with the Rev. Jeff Grant officiating. Burial is in Maple Hill cemetery. Pallbearers are Mike Cheesman, Sherry Fisher, Mary Beth Doty, Daniel Finley, Kristopher Finley, Jeffrey Finley and Kate Finley. Honorary pallbearers are Jerry Lowery, Dick Wheeler, Dallas Fisher and Leon Parker. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Monday in the funeral home in Westfield. Music is by Sandy Wheeler. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association, Champaign Office, 307 W. University, Champaign, IL 61820.

Delmar G. Terrell

WESTFIELD, Ill. - Delmar G. Terrell, 82, of Westfield died at 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2001, in Union Hospital in Terre Haute, Ind. He was born April 28, 1919, to Joseph Glen Terrell and Lula Jane Armour Terrell. His wife, Elnora Reed Terrell, died April 12, 1984. Survivors include one son, Doyle Terrell; one daughter, Joann Welch; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Services are 10:30 a.m. CST Saturday in Markwell & Son Funeral Home in Casey, with the Revs. Bill Rennels and Eddie Dean Hammon officiating. Burial is in Casey Cumberland cemetery. Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. today, with Masonic services at 7 p.m. by Westfield Masonic Lodge 1046.

Virginia Florence Boley

PARIS, Ill. - Virginia Florence Boley, 78, of Paris died at 5 a.m. Monday, Jan. 28, 2002, in Paris Healthcare Center. She was born March 21, 1923, in Sandford, Ind., to Oliver V. Randall and Blanche Mary Guage. Her first husband, Robert Marvin Neal, died April 11, 1954; and her second husband, George Arthur Boley, died in June 1987. Survivors include one son, John Neal; one daughter, Phyllis Kriling; one brother, Clyde Randall; 14 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Graveside services are 10:30 a.m. CST Wednesday in Marley cemetery, southwest of Paris, with the Rev. Art Cash officiating. Visitation is 9:30 a.m. until services Wednesday in Sutton & Son Funeral Home.

Hugh Wilson Caskey

PARIS, Ill. - Hugh Wilson Caskey, 87, of Paris died at 12:24 p.m. Monday, Jan. 28, 2002, in Union Hospital in Terre Haute, Ind. He was a farmer. He was born March 20, 1914, in Wetzel to Bert Caskey and Ethel Creech Caskey. Survivors include his wife, Eunice Butler Caskey, whom he married Sept. 25, 1943, in La Porte, Ind.; one son and daughter-in-law, Roy and Carol Caskey of Phoenix, Ariz.; one daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie and Keith Ritter of Paris; one grandson, Ryan Hugh Caskey of Phoenix; two granddaughters, Kerry Anne Caskey of Phoenix, and Lori Lee Higginbotham and her husband Scott of Paris; one great-grandson, Zachery Higginbotham of Paris; two great-granddaughters, Kahrissa Higginbotham of Paris, and Madison Miller of Phoenix; eight nieces and nephews; four stepgrandchildren; and nine stepgreat-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and one brother. He was a member of Edgar County Farm Bureau, a 50 year member of Stratton Lodge 408 Ancient Free & Accepted Masons, a 50 year member of Order of Eastern Star Chapter 7, a 50-year member of Paris and Danville Consistory and a member of Horace Baptist Church. Masonic services followed by funeral services are 2 p.m. CST Thursday in Stewart & Carroll Funeral Home. Burial is in Vermilion cemetery in Vermilion, Ill. Visitation is noon until services Thursday. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, c/o Stewart & Carroll Funeral Home.

Martin H. Forrester Jr.

ROBINSON, Ill. - Lt. Martin H. Forrester Jr., 39, of Robinson died at 1:05 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 27, 2002. He was born Oct. 24, 1962, in Maryville, Tenn., to Martin H. Forrester Sr. and Clara Jane Turpin Forrester. Survivors include his wife, Jodi Forrester; one son, Michael Anthony Forrester; one daughter, Elisha Victoria Forrester; one sister, Judy Lee Byrum; four stepsisters, Hazel Williams, Ruth Adams, Ruby Lewis and Ethel Wiskersta; one stepbrother, Pete Forrester; one nephew; one niece; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Services are 10:30 a.m. CST Wednesday in Pulliam Funeral Home, with Brother Steve Murray officiating. Burial is in Robinson New cemetery, with graveside military rites by Crawford Post 4549 Veterans of Foreign Wars, E.M. Coulter Post 69 American Legion, and AmVets Post 33. Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. today.

Mary Louise Hunt

PARIS, Ill. - Mary Louise Hunt, 86, of Paris died at 11:10 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 27, 2002, in Paris Community Hospital. She was born July 2, 1915, in Paris to William Oscar Phelps and Martha Emmons Phelps. Her husband, William Barlow Hunt, died May 3, 1997. Survivors include one daughter, Alma Peters; one brother, James Phelps; one sister, Bernadine Smith; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one stepgreat-grandchild; and one stepgreat-great-grandchild. Services are 10 a.m. CST Wednesday in Stewart & Carroll Funeral Home. Burial is in Edgar cemetery. Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. today.

Lisa G. Sanders

MARSHALL, Ill. - Lisa G. Sanders, 44, of Marshall died at 2:15 a.m. Monday, Jan. 28, 2002, in Union Hospital in Terre Haute, Ind., following a lengthy illness of several years. She was a nurse, having worked at AP&S; Clinic and Union Hospital, both in Terre Haute, and Burnsides Nursing Home in Marshall and Manor Nursing Center in Casey. She was born July 25, 1957, in Mount Carmel to John Cox and Deanna Stallings Cox. Survivors include her husband, Roy A. Sanders Jr.; one daughter, Kiley Sanders of Marshall; one son, Roy Allen Sanders III of Marshall; her mother and stepfather, Deanna and Tony Snyder of Marshall; her father and stepmother, John and Janice Cox of Martinsville; one sister and brother-in-law, Cheryl and Greg Athey of Terre Haute; two stepsisters, Jennifer Porter and her husband Cullen of Charleston, and Jamie Hutchings of Auburn; and several cousins. She was a graduate of Marshall (Ill.) High School and Ivy Tech State College in Terre Haute. Services are 10:30 a.m. CST Wednesday in Pearce Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jeff Grant, of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Marshall, officiating. Burial is in Ridgelawn cemetery in Martinsville. Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. today and 7 a.m. until services Wednesday.

Anna Mae Trout

ROBINSON, Ill. - Anna Mae Trout, 78, of Robinson died at 7:45 p.m. Tuesday, June 25, 2002, in Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Ind. She was born Sept. 10, 1923, in Flat Rock to Lester Raymond Tohill and Bertha Higgins Tohill. Survivors include her husband, Leslie Dale Trout; one son, Roger Trout; two daughters, Reta Burcham and Judy Rich; five sisters, Fay Haner, Martha Wampler, Bernice Dunlap, Edith Cox and Melva Williamson; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Services are 2 p.m. Sunday in Free Methodist Church, with the Revs. Jon Carrell and Jack Andrews officiating. Burial is in Tohill cemetery, rural Flat Rock. Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday in Goodwine Funeral Home and 1 p.m. until services Sunday, in the church.

Connie Sue Provines

OBLONG, Ill. - Connie Sue Provines, 27, of rural Sumner died, along with her daughter, Vickie Lynn Provines, at 8:56 a.m. Monday, July 29, 2002, as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident in rural Lawrence County, Ill. She was born Jan. 20, 1975, in Olney, to Wally Curtis and Martha Heath Curtis. Survivors include her husband, Glen Provines; three sons, Christopher Provines, Victor Provines and Cody Provines; her parents; one brother, Fred Curtis; one sister, Lynn Like; and several nieces and nephews. Services are 10 a.m. today in Sumner United Methodist Church, with the Revs. Randy Reese and James Shidler officiating. Burial is in Sumner cemetery. Visitation 9 to 10 a.m. Pulliam Funeral Home, Oblong, assisted with arrangements.
