Roberto G. Rizo of Batavia
A Mass for Roberto G. Rizo, 41, formerly of Chicago, will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church.
Born Jan. 15, 1958, he died Friday, Feb. 26, 1999, at his home. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
Mr. Rizo was employed for 15 years as an engineer for Lucent Technologies, and was a member of HISPA.
He was the father of Roberto and Sergio of Batavia, and brother of Ismael Rizo, Lupe (Petrita) Rizo, Ted (Lynn) Rizo, Pedro (Rose) Rizo, Maria (Darryl) Ranieri and the late Louis (Delia).
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today, at Elmwood Chapels, Ltd. 11200 S. Ewing Ave., Chicago.

Linda Rose Schon of Bartlett
Funeral services for Linda Rose Schon (nee Carlotti), 35, will begin at 9 a.m. Tuesday, at Cumberland Chapels, 8300 W. Lawrence, Norridge, followed by a 10:30 a.m. Mass at St. Walter Church, 117 W. Maple, Roselle.
Mrs. Schon was a Brownie Troop leader for troop #240.
She was the beloved wife of David P. Schon; loving mother of Ashley Lynn and the late David Matthew Schon; beloved daughter of Louis and Jean Carlotti (nee Dizonno); dear sister of Louis Jr. (Cindi) Carlotti; loving sister-in-law of many; fond daughter-in-law of Elsie and the late Matthew Schon; and dearest aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 3 to9 p.m. today, at the funeral chapel.

Mae Vehe of Barrington
Services for Mae Vehe (nee Brandt), 90, a lifelong resident of Barrington, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, at Stirlen-Pieper & Davenport Funeral Home, 149 W. Main St. (Lake-CookRd.), Barrington. Reverend Joseph Dye will officiate.
Born Sept. 10, 1908, in Barrington, she passed away Saturday, Feb. 27, 1999, at Governors Park Nursing Home in Barrington. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Barrington.
Mae was a homemaker and an active member of St. Peter United Church of Christ in Lake Zurich. She worked on the farm with her husband, Edwin and sold eggs for many years.
Survivors include her sister-in-law, Blanche Brandt of Barrington; and nieces and nephews, Audrey (Robert) Knigge of Palatine, Robert (Janet) Meyer of Barrington, Karen (James) Smith of Palatine, Glen Brandt of Florida, Annette (Raymond) Grinelle of Wisconsin, Susan Barnett of New Jersey, Jane (Benjamin) VanBlake of Barrington, David (Oliva) Brandt of Colorado, Saranne Polumbo of Arizona, Kathy (Ronald) Brandt of Colorado, Diddy Salnick of Pennsylvania and Ann (Marvin) Hoskinson of Arizona.
She was preceded in deathby her husband, Edwin Vehe, whom she married on Dec. 8, 1939, in Clinton, Iowa; sister, Grace Meyer; brothers, Raymond, James and Henry Brandt; and niece, Janet McDonald.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home.

Guy E. Wickwire formerly of Glen Ellyn
Graveside services for Guy E. Wickwire, 82, of Wheaton, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, at Maple Cemetery in Kirkland, Ill. Dr. Robert Lesher will officiate.
Born Sept. 22, 1916, in West Chicago, he died Saturday, Feb. 27, 1999, at his home.
Mr. Wickwire had been a resident of Glen Ellyn from 1946 to 1993 and had lived in Wheaton for the past five years.
Prior to his retirement he had worked as a sales consultant for IBM. A World War II veteran, he had served as a lieutenant in the Navy on the battleship, the USS Indiana.
Survivors include his wife, Frances Wickwire of Wheaton; children, Guy E. (Maggie) Wickwire III of Concord, Mass., and Barbara (Matthew) Christiansen of West Chicago; grandchildren, Laura, Carol, Bond, Keith, Neal and Samantha; brother, Robert Wickwire of Gainesville, Texas; twin sister, Grace Steinborn of Belvidere; and sister, Helen Bennett of Belvidere.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and one sister.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of DuPage, 690 E. North Ave., Carol Stream, IL 60188, or to First United Methodist Church, 424 Forest Ave., Glen Ellyn, IL 60137.

Belle `Mrs. Weefolks' Lazar formerly of Chicago
Services for Belle `Mrs. Weefolks' Lazar (nee Rosen-Hyman), will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, at The Piser Chapel, 9200 N. Skokie Blvd. (at Church St.), Skokie. Interment will be in Westlawn Cemetery.
She was the beloved wife of the late Emanuel; loving mother of Caryn (William) Amster and Marta Lazar; cherished grandmother of Kimberlee Ann (Matthew) Kurtzrock and Ian David Harr; great-grandmother of Nicole and Matthew Kurtzrock and Allison Harr; dear sister of Dr. Maurice (Dr. Carol) Hyman; and fond aunt and great-aunt of many.

Laszlo Gabor Szabo of Davenport, Fla.
Services for Laszlo Gabor Szabo, 74, will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, at Johnson Funeral Home, Lake Wales, Fla.
Mr. Szabo died Sunday, Feb. 28, 1999.
A native of Hungary, he came to Chicago in 1968, and was a medical and surgical instrument maker and designer for Grieshaber Manufacturing Company and former owner of Parker Manor Motel in Clearwater Beach, Fla.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 48 years, Suzannah N. Szabo; and daughter and son-in-law, Andrea Judith and Ken Schielka of Davenport. He loved his grandchildren, Kathryn, Leslie and Edward, all who attended Barrington schools. Also surviving are his sister, Julia Vasko and brothers, Kalman Szabo and Joseph Szabo, all of Hungary.
He was preceded in death by his son, Gabor Laszlo Szabo.

Sylvan T. Warrington
Oct. 19, 1907 - Feb. 24, 1999. .
Born Oct. 19, 1907 in Austin, Minn., Sylvan Truman Warrington was raised on a farm, the son of Nettie Trowbridge and Samuel Warrington. As the son of a school teacher, he developed a lifelong passion and respect for education-first as a student and later as an advisor and consultant with the United States Department of Agriculture. The first of 12 siblings to attend college, he earned a B. S. in economics, and a masters in agricultural economics from the University of Minnesota. Later, while serving as a staff member with the University's extension service, he completed a majority of his work toward a Ph. D., before being pulled to the private sector.
Building the first frozen food locker for his parents' use, he went on to become a pioneer in the frozen food locker industry. During World War II, at the request of the Secretary of Agriculture, he spearheaded the development of a technique for preserving meat and other foods for use by the military. He went on to develop the first commercial frozen food lockers, and eventually served as the secretary of the National Frozen Food Locker Association from 1948 to 1951. His career culminated as a consultant and advisor with the United States Department of Agriculture, where he played a key role in the transformation of the livestock industry.
He met his beloved wife of 60 years, Lenore Berlin (deceased) while attending the University of Minnesota. They married in 1934, and had three daughters. He attributed his long life to his wife and the diet she incorporated in their lifestyle--the result of her own education as a home economics major.
He is survived by his daughters, Sharon (George) Collias, Jeannine (Edward) James and Linda Warrington; and brother, Richard H. Warrington of LaCanada, Calif. His grandchildren are Chip (Cindy) Dell, Scott Dell (deceased), Jerry James, Catherine (Edmund) King, Deborah (Scott) Chamberlain, Pamela (Abbott) Albright, Warren (Amy) James, Ann James, Stephen Sordo, Linda (Michael) Berlin-Knowlton and David (Dara) Sordo. In addition, he is survived by 14 adoring great-grandchildren; and numerous loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today, at Donnellan Family Funeral Home, 10045 Skokie Blvd., Skokie, with a memorial service on Wednesday, at 3 p.m. at Kenilworth Union Church, 211 Kenilworth Ave., Kenilworth.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Kenilworth Union Church with reference to S. T. Warrington.

Margaret E. Anderson of St. Charles
Funeral services for Margaret E. Anderson, 84, will be held at 5 p.m. Wednesday, at Yurs Funeral Home, 405 E. Main St., St. Charles. Rev. Kenneth Ahlstrand will officiate.
Born in a little farmhouse in Lovington, Ill., Sept. 6, 1914, the daughter of George and Clara (nee Westendorf) Resenbeck, she died Monday, March 1, 1999, at home. Interment will be private.
After several moves, her family settled in Rockford, where she found a second home working at St. Anthony's Hospital.
Her mother was the cook there and she soon learned to be an X-ray technician.
She met the love of her life, Pehr Anderson, where he was mixing sodas at the local drug store. When he graduated from the Art Institute in Chicago, they got married and lived in Chicago, which she always considered her college education. She worked as the State St. Marshall Fields during World War II. They began raising a family after the war.
Pehr's design career took them to West Aurora, where she was a homemaker. In 1957, they moved into the house Pehr designed in St. Charles, and Margaret began what turned out to be a 22-year career at the St. Charles Savings and Loan. After retirement, she had lots of fun traveling, playing golf and working on projects that drew her interest.
She leaves behind her daughter, Kris Anderson of St. Charles; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and lots of loving friends.
She goes to join her husband, Pehr; son, Regner; two brothers; and her mom and dad.
Visitation will be from 3:30 p.m. until the time of services Wednesday, at the funeral home.

Ella M. Bishop of Mundelein
Funeral services for Ella M. Bishop (nee Pagel), 85, formerly of Stevensville, Mich., will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, at the Lakeshore Chapel, Florin Funeral Services, Stevensville, Mich.
She died Monday, March 1, 1999, at Condell Medical Center in Libertyville.
Interment will follow the funeral services in Riverview Cemetery, St. Joseph, Mich.
A retired RN, Mrs. Bishop graduated from Memorial Hospital of South Bend School of Nursing in 1935 and enjoyed practicing her profession for more than 35 years. She was also a member of Stevensville United Methodist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Sarah (the Rev. Ken) Press; grandchildren, Anne (Greg) Tussing and Ellen (Glen) Mutscher; great-grandson, Brett Tussing; sisters-in-law, Eleanor and Edna Pagel; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Stevensville United Methodist Church.
Local arrangements were made by Kristan Funeral Home, P. C., Mundelein.

Harold Louis Bluder of Round Lake Park for 17 years
Funeral services for Harold Louis Bluder, 83, formerly of Park Ridge, will be held at 11 a.m. today, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 420 N. Greenwood Dr., Round Lake, IL 60073. The Rev. Robert Meiselwitz will officiate.
Born Dec. 3, 1915, in La Grange, he passed away Saturday, Feb. 27, 1999, at Condell Medical Center in Libertyville.
Interment will be private.
Mr. Bluder retired in 1956 from the Milwaukee Railroad, and in 1981 from Park Ridge Community Church, where he worked as a custodian. He was a memberof St. Paul Lutheran Church.
He leaves his wife, Bertha (nee Henke), whom he wed on Dec. 13, 1944, in Hannover, N. D.; son, Harold Jr. (Marjorie) Bluder of Denver, Colo.; daughter, Bonnie (Stephen) Pressley of Franklin Park; brother, David (AnnBelle) Bluder of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Elizabeth Bluder; and brothers, Roland and Alfred Bluder.
Memorials may be given to the church (address listed above), Young Women in Harmony Sweet Adeline International or the charity of your choice, in memory of Mr. Bluder.

Gladys C. Boessel of Des Plaines
Graveside services for Gladys C. Boessel, 100, will be held at Arlington Cemetery, Lake St. and Frontage Rd., Elmhurst.
Born Dec. 24, 1898, in Dubuque, Iowa, she died Monday, March 1, 1999.
A resident of Oakton Pavillion Healthcare in Des Plaines, she worked for Western Union as an operator her whole career and retired from there.
Survivors include her sister, Harriet B. Hayn; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Harrison Boessel and Catherine M. Boessel (nee Cawrey); sister, Lillian A. Boessel; and brothers, Fredrick, Walter and Daniel Boessel.
