Dawn Waggoner

LAWRENCEVILLE — Dawn (Kelly) Waggoner, 29, died Sunday, Sept. 17, 2000, at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville of injuries sustained in an automobile accident Friday in Evansville.

She worked for Bellsouth in Vincennes, Ind.

Surviving are her husband, Stephen; her mother, Vivian Daugherty of Panorama Village, Texas; her father, Chuck Kelly of Lawrenceville; two sisters, Kim Leech of Orlando, Fla., and Pam Maher of Evanston, Ill.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home, with burial in Lawrenceville City cemetery.

Madelyn Keeley

ROBINSON — Madelyn M. Keeley, 78, died Monday, Sept. 18, 2000, at Rivershores Nursing & Convalescent Center in Marseilles.

Surviving are a daughter, Debbie Wilder of Marseilles; a sister, Ruth Christenson of Hoopeston; and nieces and nephews.

Her husband, Rex M., died in 1982.

Services 11 a.m. today at Pulliam Funeral Home, burial in Robinson New cemetery.

Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hoofed Animal Association in Barrington.

Mary Hill

LAWRENCEVILLE — Mary J. Hill, 90, died Monday, Sept. 18, 2000, at United Methodist Village.

She had owned Hill’s Grocery Store in Pinkstaff. She was a member of United Methodist Church in Pinkstaff and the Eastern Star.

Surviving are a son, Elmer Hale of Flat Rock; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and nieces.

Her husband, Anthony, died in 1978.

Arrangements are pending at Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home.

Infant Sara Parker

FLAT ROCK — Sara Beth Parker, daughter of Samuel G. and Tricia Rae (Gognat) Parker, died shortly after birth Monday, Sept. 18, 2000, at Crawford Memorial Hospital in Robinson.

Also surviving are a brother, Tyler at home; her grandparents, Barbara and Lawrence Gognat and Sue and J.D. Ducharme; and great-grandparents.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Jones cemetery.

Elmer Reisinger

MOUNT CARMEL — Elmer F. Reisinger, 89, died Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2000, at Wabash General Hospital.

He was a farmer and a member of the Frieden’s United Church of Christ.

Surviving are two daughters, Marilyn Ramsey of Omaha and Janice Worlow of Mount Carmel; and two grandchildren, Pamela McNeil and Steven Ramsey.

His wife, M. Kathryn (Talley), died in 1992.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Short Funeral Home, with burial in Highland Memorial cemetery.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the church.

Kenneth Blackford

FAIRFIELD — Kenneth L. Blackford, 67, died Monday, Sept. 18, 2000, at his home in Mill Shoals of injuries suffered when a tractor rolled over him as he was mowing.

He was a farmer and member of the Mill Shoals United Methodist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Dorris; two daughters, Marla Wilkins of Teutopolis and Anne York of Fairfield; a son, Rodney of Texas; his mother, Bertha Blackford of Fairfield; a sister, Vivian Marshel of Fairfield; and nine grandchildren.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Johnson Funeral Home, with burial in West Antioch cemetery.

Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Mildred Culthbertson

ELDORADO — Mildred Culthbertson, 86, died Friday, Sept. 8, 2000, at the Eldorado Care Center.

She had been a licensed practical nurse.

She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, White Shrine and a 51-year member of the Rebekah’s.

Surviving are two daughters, Ann Hart of Huntington Beach, Calif., and June Wagner of Eldorado; a son, James Marshall Culthbertson of Southgate, Calif.; a sister, Sue Cowell of Harrisburg; two brothers, Bill Quick of Marissa and Leon Quick of Clarksville, Tenn.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Her husband, James, died in 1972.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home, with burial in Lindale cemetery.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.

Donetta Eades

OBLONG — Donetta Lynne Eades, 49, died Friday, Sept. 8, 2000, of cancer at the home of a friend.

She worked at the front desk at Crawford Memorial Hospital, was a trained hospice caregiver and had worked with the hospice program in Port Saint Lucie, Fla.

She had been an active member of the Oblong Wesleyan Church.

Surviving are her husband, Gary; a daughter, Noemi Lynne Eades at home; two sons, Gerald Leslie “Les” Taylor of Royal Oak, Mich., and James Matthew of Longview, Texas; two sisters, Tambra Dawn McCartney of Champaign and Karla Sue Stannard of Allons, Texas; a grandson, Zachary Ryan Taylor; and a nephew.

Services will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Oblong Wesleyan Church, the body will be cremated, burial is pending.

Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Oblong Wesleyan Church. Pulliam Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society Crawford Count Unit.

Mary Bell

MCLEANSBORO — Mary Ann Bell, 51, died Friday, Sept. 8, 2000, at her home of ovarian cancer.

She was a special education instructor at West Side Elementary School in McLeansboro.

She was a former member of the Hamilton County Home Extension Association, St. Patrick’s Altar Society and had been a Girl and Boy Scout leader.

She was a member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church.

Surviving are her husband, Ronald Emerson “Ron”; two daughters, Carey Lynn of Harrisburg and Elizabeth Wiggins of St. Louis; a son, Scott of West Bloomfield, Mich.; and four grandchildren, Macey, James and Amber Lynn and Jack Bell.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Enfield, with burial in the church cemetery.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Harre Funeral Home.

Robert Brown

ROSICLARE — Robert Clay Brown, 37, died Friday, Sept. 8, 2000, in Prattville, Ala., in an automobile accident enroute to Maxwell Air Force Base.

He was a technical sergeant. in the United States Air Force.

Surviving are a son, Kyle Derek of Harrisburg; his father, Fred Brown Sr. of Herod; three sisters, Connie Baker and Cindy Moore, both of Rosiclare and Paula Johnson of Golconda; and six brothers, Fred Jr. of Golconda, Terry of Metropolis, Rodney of Wichita, Kan., and Les and Dennis, both of Herod.

Arrangements are pending at Cox Funeral Home in Rosiclare.

Virginia Baldwin

ROBINSON — Virginia L. “Jenny” (Hall) Baldwin, 74, died Friday, Aug. 4, 2000, at her home of cancer.

She had worked at L.S. Heath & Sons and for 25 years managed the Robinson Bowling Center.

She was a member of the Moose, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4549 and American Legion Post 69 Ladies Auxiliaries.

Surviving are a daughter, Vicki Van Schoyck of Robinson; two sons, Scott Christy of Willow Hill and Randy Christy of Robinson; 10 grandchildren, Rob, Paul, Vicky, Amanda, Lee Ann, Samantha and Kelly Christy, Nicki Van Schoyck and Bryan and Andy Abraham; two great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by three husbands, Bruce Christy in 1957, Paul Hilyard in 1974 and Kelly Baldwin in 1988.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Pulliam Funeral Home, with burial in Robinson New cemetery.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday and from 8 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.

Etta Edwards

OMAHA — Etta F. Edwards, 66, died Saturday, Aug. 5, 2000, at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville of heart failure.

She retired from Moll Industries in Evansville.

Surviving are her husband, Harold; a daughter, Kathy Karnes of Eldorado; five sons, Steve Catiller of Bedford, Ind., Walt Catiller of Carmel, Ind., Jeff Catiller of Maceo, Ky., Donnie Catiller of Mount Carmel and Brian Catiller of Maumie; a sister, Marilyn Picman of Justice; and three brothers, Charles Craighead of Ozark, Billy Wayne Craighead of Tampa, Fla., and David Gross of Peoria.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Vickery Funeral Chapel, with burial in Palestine II cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
