McLEANSBORO — Edith Lee Sykes, 85, died Saturday, Aug. 5, 2000, at St. John’s Skilled Care Center in St. Louis.
She had been a tax examiner for the government.
She was Methodist.
Surviving are a daughter, Carla L. Tocco of Florissant, Mo.; and five grandchildren, Laura, Cristina, Toni, Nicci and Tiffany Tocco.
Her husband, Carl T., died in 1986.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Harre Funeral Home, with burial in Odd Fellows cemetery in McLeansboro.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Bucholtz Spanish Lake Mortuary in St. Louis and from noon to service time at Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro.
Andrew Wilkins
HARRISBURG — Andrew Wilkins, 86, died Saturday, July 22, 2000, at Carrier Mills Nursing Home.
He was a coal miner.
He was a member of McKinley Avenue Baptist Church in Harrisburg.
Surviving are two daughters, Carolyn Sue Suits of Independence, Kan., and Brenda Kay Mitchell of Pearl; a sister, Anna Smothers of Harrisburg; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
His wife, Anne (Walker), died in 1989.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. today at Sunset Gardens cemetery.
There will be no visitation. Gaskins Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
Mary Beard
McLEANSBORO — Mary Holland Beard, 93, died Saturday, July 22, 2000, at Hamilton Memorial Nursing Center.
She was a homemaker, a gardener and a member of New Hope Baptist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Carolyn P. Swanson of Durham, N.C., and Virginia Rubenacker of McLeansboro; a son, Francis K. Holland of Carmel, Ind.; a sister, Alice Moss of Pekin; eight grandchildren, Vicki Woolridge, Belinda Jennings, Tamara Sharpe, Lori and Troy Rubenacker, Donald and Jeff Holland and Greg Swanson; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer J. Holland, and a son, Clyde Holland.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Harre Funeral Home, with burial in Blooming Grove cemetery.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Golda Ginger
ROSICLARE — Golda M. Ginger, 86, formerly of Rosiclare, died Sunday, July 23, 2000, at her home in Harrisburg.
Surviving are a daughter, Phyllis Mueller of Marion; five sons, Windell and Rondell Burton, both of Harrisburg, Randell Burton of Eddyville, James Glendell Burton of Herod and Edward Burton of Cave in Rock; 27 grandchildren; 69 great-grandchildren; and 20 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Burton, a daughter, Barbara Moore and five grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. today at Rosiclare Free Pentecost Church, with burial in Stone Church cemetery.

Bessie Morgan
JOHNSONVILLE — Bessie Morgan, 74, died Saturday, July 22, 2000, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Mount Vernon of heart failure.
She was a homemaker and a member of Round Prairie General Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband of 53 years, Lawrence F. Sr.; two daughters, Linda Pitts of Des Moines and Hollie Kelly of Johnsonville; four sons, Ben of Goose Creek, S.C., Dennis Sr. of Flora, Bob of Granite City and Lawrence Jr. of Johnsonville; three brothers, Roby Selph of Granite City, Russell Selph of Johnsonville and Claude Selph of Bear Springs, Tenn.; 23 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at York Funeral Home in Wayne City, with burial in Round Prairie cemetery.

Foster Buchanan
ALLENDALE — Foster E. Buchanan, 77, died Sunday, July 23, 2000, at home. The cause of death has not been determined.
He was a 50-year Gold Card member of the International Union of Operating Engineers.
He attended Adams Corner Methodist Church.
Surviving are two sisters, Joan Shepard of Mount Carmel and Melba Freyburger of Allendale; and nieces and a nephew.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Ingram Funeral Home Allendale Chapel, with burial in Adams Corner cemetery in Wabash County.
There will be no visitation.

Leo Anderson
LAWRENCEVILLE — Leo Allen Anderson, 74, died Friday, July 21, 2000, at Lawrenceville Manor. The cause of death has not yet been determined.
He was a retired nurse and real estate agent.
He was a World War II Navy and Air Force veteran, a member of St. James AME Church and the Church Circle, and a volunteer for the Department of Aging hospice and senior center.
Surviving are two daughters, Simone Flourney of Lawrenceville and Beverly Mills of Atlanta; four sons, Leo Jr. of Lawrenceville and Curtis, Brian and Shelton, all of Atlanta; his mother, Alburna Wimberly Nichols; 16 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. James Church, with burial in Portee cemetery in Pinkstaff.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home.

Norma Miskimins
PALESTINE - Norma Carol Miskimins, 67, died Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2000, at her home of cancer.
Surviving are her husband, Harold; two daughters, Theresa Reed and Susan Marley, both of Robinson; two sons, Robert "Bob" Reed of Ragley, La., and Thomas Reed of Centerville, Iowa; three sisters, Juanita Faeth of Springfield, Eileen Bex and Shirley Ann Carver, both of Palestine; two brothers, Robert Badgley of Peoria and Eugene Badgley of Robinson; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Goodwine Funeral Home, with burial in Tohill cemetery in rural Flat Rock.

FLAT ROCK - Nancy Fayetta Dudasko Weger, 60, died Wednesday Sept. 20, 2000, at her home of cancer.
She had been a bookkeeper for the A&P.;
Surviving are her husband, Leslie "Dean"; a daughter, Kathy Michelle Ruppel of Vincennes, Ind.; two stepdaughters, Irma Jean Shipman of Mahomet and Debbie Newell of Palestine; two sons, Eric Todd Dudasko of Indianapolis and Shawn Paul Dudasko of Vincennes three stepsons, Richard and Bobby Weger and Randy Brown, all of Flat Rock; a sister, Linda George of Alabama; four brothers, Albert Parker of Hammond, Ind., Richard Rogers of Terre Haute, Ind., and Buddy and Billy Parker; and two granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Paul Dudasko, in 1966 and two infant daughters, Sharon and Karen.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Goodwine Funeral Home, with burial in Good Hope cemetery.

ELDORADO - Mary E. Watson, 85, died Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2000, at Ferrell Hospital.
She had owned a shoe shop.
She was a member of Eldorado First Baptist Church.
Surviving are three sons, Bob and Edward, both of Eldorado and Philip of San Diego; a sister, Ruth Reed of Raleigh; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a niece and nephews.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Eldorado First Baptist Church, with burial in Wolf Creek cemetery.
