ALBION, Ill. — Edwin S. Nusbaum, 92, formerly of Albion, died Tuesday, Feb. 29, 2000, at the White County Hospital in Carmi.
He had been a salesman.
He was a member of the Little Prairie Christian Church.
Surviving are his wife, Marjorie (Meagher) of Carmi; a daughter, Jean M. Gregory of St. Louis; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
His first wife, Lula Mae (Sheradin), and a daughter, Ann Clough, preceded him in death.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Ingram Funeral Home, with burial in Little Prairie cemetery.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.
Edna Chilcote
ROBINSON, Ill. — Edna Ruth Chilcote, 80, died Wednesday, March 1, 2000, at her home in Upper Marlboro, Md.
She had worked for Ettlebrick Shoe Co. and Robinson Manufacturing.
She was a member of the Congregational Christian Church in Merom, Ind., and American Legion Ladies Auxiliary in Robinson.
Surviving are a son, Paul Michael of Upper Marlboro; a sister, Irene Morwood of Terre Haute, Ind.; three grandchildren, Patrick Michael, Jeffrey Daren and Garrette Wade; seven great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Her husband, Edgar Paul, died in 1975.
Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday in Robinson New cemetery.
Private family visitation will precede services at Pulliam Funeral Home Robinson Chapel .
Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
Darlene Given
CARMI, Ill. — Darlene Given, 61, died Friday, March 3, 2000, at her home of cancer.
She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Carmi and the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliaries.
She was a graduate of St. Mary’s School of Nursing in Evansville.
Surviving are her husband of 39 years, Roger A.; three sons, John R. of Evansville, David A. of Carmel, Ind., and James P. of Springfield; two sisters, Dana Leggett of Carmi and Delores J. Williams of Laurel, Miss.; four brothers, Robert E. Wilson of Carmi, William Wilson of Evansville, Wayne Wilson of Fort Worth, Texas, and Kenneth E. Wilson of Enfield; and two grandchildren, Adam J. and Rachel C. Given.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Campbell Funeral Home Carmi Chapel, with burial in White County Memorial Garden.

Anna Pollard
CARMI, Ill. — Anna C. Pollard, 96, died Friday, March 3, 2000, at Wabash Christian Retirement Center.
She was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ and the Women’s Guild.
Surviving are a son, Wayne of Carmi; and three sisters, Frieda Carr and Elsie and Marie Peters, all of Carmi.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Campbell Funeral Home Carmi Chapel, with burial in North Maple Ridge cemetery.

Infant Carson Buchanan
BRIDGEPORT, Ill. — Carson James Buchanan, one-day old son of Jennifer Dawn (Cherry) and Jonathon R. Buchanan, died Saturday, March 4, 2000, at Lawrence County Memorial Hospital.
Also surviving are a sister, Sarah Elizabeth Buchanan, at home; his grandparents, James and Christa Cherry and Ralph and Carolyn Buchanan; and his great-grandmothers.
Graveside services will be at 3:30 p.m. today in Buchanan cemetery.

Angus Vaughan
FAIRFIELD, Ill. — Angus O. Vaughan, 87, died Saturday, March 4, 2000, at Fairfield Memorial Hospital.
He was a retired farmer and Road Commissioner for Barnhill Township.
He attended Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Jane Lowery and Connie Hill, both of Fairfield; a sister, Verla Moore of Fairfield; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances (Harris), in 1995, and by a daughter.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Nale’s Funeral Home Fairfield Chapel, with burial in Pleasant Grove cemetery.
Mary Daniels
BURNT PRAIRIE, Ill. — Mary A. Daniels, 87, died Friday, March 3, 2000, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville.
She worked at Buster Calkin Grocery Store, was an LPN at Fairfield Memorial Hospital for 23 years and wrote the Burnt Prairie news for the Wayne County Press, Navigator and Carmi Times.
She was a member of Burnt Prairie Baptist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Bernice Smith of Albion and Betty Berry of Burnt Prairie; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a stepgreat-grandchild.
Her husband, Ira A., died in 1971.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Nale’s Funeral Home Fairfield Chapel, with burial in Burnt Prairie cemetery.

John Kemper
PALESTINE, Ill. — John Russell Kemper, 71, died Friday, March 3, 2000, at his home.
He worked for Local Laborer’s Union 1280.
He was a member of Robinson Veterans of Foreign Wars 4549, Robinson American Legion Post 69, Palestine Eagles and Robinson Moose Lodge 1369.
He was a Korean War Army veteran.
Surviving are his wife, Mary F. (Wanless); three stepdaughters, Mary Lou Ashby of Pittsburg, Sarah Isabella Clark of Robinson and Jean Turner of Robinson; two sons, John of Vista, Calif., and Richard of Roundup, Mont.; a sister, Martha Parke of Albion; three brothers, Wallace of Santa Quin, Utah, Jack of Robinson and Bill of Porterville, Calif.; three grandchildren; and five stepgrandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 11, 2000, in Oak Grove cemetery in rural Palestine, with military rites.
Gordon Neighbors Jr.
HARRISBURG, Ill. — Gordon Neighbors Jr., 60, died Friday, March 3, 2000, at his home after suffering from liver problems.
He was a machine operator.
There are no immediate survivors.
Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Gaskins Funeral Home, with burial in Sunset Garden cemetery.

CROSSVILLE, Ill. — Lettie Copelin, 73, died Friday, March 3, 2000, at St. Mary’s Health Care Services/Welborn Campus in Evansville.
Surviving are two daughters, Debbie Conner of Crossville and Judy Winkleman of Orlando, Fla.; a sister, Margaret Craig of Mount Carmel; two brothers, Bill McCorkle of Mount Carmel and Jim Bob McCorkle of Browns; two granddaughters, Roni Nichols and Kelly Finegan; and two great-grandchildren.
Her husband, W.E. “Gene”, died in 1984.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Stokes Chapel cemetery.
There will be no visitation at Sturm Funeral Home Crossville Chapel.
Linda Buzzard
BRIDGEPORT — Linda Buzzard, 34, died Wednesday, May 3, 2000, at St. Mary’s Health Care Services/Welborn Campus from an aneurysm. She was born in Darmstadt, Germany.
She worked for Day-Lite Plastics.
Surviving are a daughter, Sandra Buzzard of Bridgeport; three sons, Sascha Koenigstein and Donald III and Dennis Buzzard, all of Bridgeport; her parents, Helmut and Renate (Simon) Koenigstein of Darmstadt; a sister, Hannelore “Hanna” Mack of Elizabethtown, Pa., and three brothers, Heinz Simon and Helmut and Artur Koenigstein, all of Darmstadt.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today at the May Chapel cemetery.
