ELIZABETHTOWN - Melva Dale, 84, died Saturday, May 26, 2001, at Hardin County General Hospital of cardiac arrest.
Surviving is a daughter, Nigel Dale.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James William, in 1982, and two daughters, Patricia Ann and Betty Lou Dale.
Services will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday at Hosick Funeral Home in Rosiclare, with burial in Hall cemetery.

Juanita Kimpel
ALBION - Juanita 'JoAnn' Kimpel, 63, died Sunday, May 27, 2001, at her home of cancer.
She retired after 29 years as a press operator for Champion Laboratories. She was a member of the Keensburg Pentecostal Church.
Surviving are three daughters, Leanne Kimpel of Albion, Charlene Kimbrell of Fairfield and JoShannan Kimpel of Carbondale; her mother, Olive Windle of Johnsonville; three sisters, Fern Burkett of Baton Rouge, La., Ruth Rose of Olney and Sarah Farmer of Fairfield; four brothers, Charles Wendle and Jack Windle, both of Flora, Tom Windle of Johnsonville and Vernon Windle of Fairfield; two grandchildren, Yolanda Ballette and Quentin Kimbrell; and a great-grandchild.
Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Union cemetery. There will be no visitation at Ingram Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Albion Senior Citizens or the American Cancer Society.
Maxine Evans
CARMI — Maxine T. Evans, 85, died Saturday, May 26, 2001, at White County Hospital.
She worked at Carmi Township Hospital and was owner of a grocery store in Maunie with her husband, Clifton.
She was a member of Marshall Ferry General Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school and was in the church choir.
Surviving are a son, Ray of Carmi; a daughter, Janice Frashier of Carmi; a sister, Joan Green of Greenwood, Ind.; two brothers, Clayton Ralph of Greenwood and Lee Ralph of Paris, Tenn.; 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and a great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton, and a son, Ralph.
Services will be at 1 p.m. today at Cook Funeral Chapel, with burial in Marshall Ferry cemetery.

Bradley Cutchin
CARMI — Bradley Neal Cutchin, 37, died Saturday, May 26, 2001, in rural Carmi in an auto accident.
He was a truck driver for WSI in Mount Vernon, Ind.
Surviving are his wife, Lisa; a daughter, Kelsise of Carmi; a son, Wesley of Carmi; a sister, Lisa Hite of Carmi; two brothers, Kent of Evansville and Jeff of Allendale, Ill.; his mother, Sherrill of Evansville, Ind.; his grandmother, Dorothy Langford; and aunts and uncles.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Campbell Funeral Home, with burial in Big Prairie cemetery.

Lucille Etzkorn
ALLENDALE — E. Lucille Etzkorn, 66, died Friday, May 25, 2001, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville of complications of diabetes.
She was a sitter and a member of St. Mary Catholic Church.
Surviving are her husband, Damian; a daughter, Theresa of Allendale; a son, D-Ray of Allendale; and three grandchildren, Karissa, Megan and Colton Etzkorn.
Arrangements are pending at St. Mary Catholic Church. The body was cremated.
There will be no visitation. Short Funeral Home in Mount Carmel is handling arrangements.

Jeffrey Cathey
NORRIS CITY - Jeffrey R. Cathey, 22, of Columbus, Ohio, formerly of Norris City, died Wednesday, May 9, 2001, in Bellefontaine, Ohio of heart failure.
He was a diesel mechanic.
Surviving are his parents, Kathy Crisp of Atoka, Tenn., and Ted Cathey of Bellefontaine; four stepbrothers, Chad Anderson of Columbus, Hal and Kenny Crisp of Ft. Hood, Texas and Matthew Crisp of Shenandoah, Iowa; His stepgrandparents, Ken and Jean Crisp of Edgewood, Wash., Edna Cathey of Eldorado and Clair and Ann Miller of Bellefontaine;and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Campbell Funeral Home, with burial in Union Ridge cemetery.

Gladys Stoltz
MOUNT CARMEL - Gladys K. Stoltz, 96, died Saturday, May 12, 2001, at Wabash General Hospital.
She was a member of Lancaster Zion United Methodist Church for 86 years.
She was a member of the United Methodist Women's Group and a 4-H leader.
Surviving are three daughters, Pauline and Betty of Mount Carmel and Eileen Saner of Riverton, Ill.; two sons, Herbert of Mount Carmel and George of Pesotum, Ill.; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Lancaster Zion United Methodist Church, with burial in Harrison cemetery.

She retired from Robinson Shoe Factory.
She was a member of Prior Grove Church and Senior Citizens Elderberries Band.
Surviving are a niece and a great niece.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William, in 1948 and a daughter, Thelma.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Prior Grove Church, with burial in the church cemetery.

BROUGHTON — Norma Jean Logan, 72, died of a heart attack Thursday, April 5, 2001, at Hamilton Memorial Hospital.
She was a seamstress for Elders Shirt Factory in McLeansboro from 1956 to 1977.
She was a member of New Salem Church.
Surviving are two sons, George Jr., and Darrell, both of Broughton; a sister, Lois Dahl of Harco; a brother, Hal Reynolds of Harco; and a granddaughter, Alisha.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George.
Services will be at 2 p.m Sunday at Sloan Funeral Home in Galatia, with burial in Hebron cemetery in Broughton.

LAWRENCEVILLE — Rosella C. Messenger, 79, died of pneumonia Thursday, April 5, 2001, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Ind.
Surviving are a daughter, Anita Seber of Lawrenceville; a son, Gerald of Manistique, Mich.; two sisters, Veva Vowells of Sumner, and Beulah Tredway of St. Francisville; a brother, Chester Pepple of Penn Valley, Calif.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Karl, and a son.
