Daniel Burgett

SUMNER — Daniel Burgett, 36, of Fishers, died Tuesday, March 20, 2001, at Community North Hospital in Indianapolis. The cause of death has not yet been determined.

He retired from the Navy with the rank of lieutenant.

He was a member of the Central Christian Church in Sumner, Ill.

Surviving are his wife, Barbara (Woodfin); a daughter, Danielle Burgett at home; a son, Clinton David Jacob at home; his mother, Shirley (Hughes) Burgett of Sumner, Ill.; a brother, David of Bridgeport, Ill.; and nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Sivert-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Sumner, Ill., with burial in Sumner City cemetery, with military rites.

Friends may call from noon to service time.

Carroll Tetrick

MOUNT CARMEL — Carroll L. Tetrick, 60, died Monday, March 19, 2001, in Conroe, Texas, of heart failure.

He worked at Snap-On Tools for 25 years.

He was a member of the Gospel Assembly Church.

Surviving are his wife, Jeanne; a son, Brian; a sister, Sharon Dickerson; three brothers, the Revs. Edgar B. and Robert and Roy; and nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Gospel Kingdom Church in Mount Carmel, with entombment at 1 p.m. Monday in Evergreen cemetery in Louisville, Ky.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the church. Ingram Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Russell Spicer

WAYNE CITY — Russell Elmer Spicer, 89, of Sims, died Wednesday, March 21, 2001, at Casey Care Center in Mount Vernon.

He had been a farmer.

Surviving are his wife, Lois (Talbert); a daughter, Cheryl Henson of Germantown; a son, Gary of Catlin; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Richardson Funeral Home, with burial in Bailey cemetery.

Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Wallace Gourley

KEENSBURG — Wallace Gertrude Gourley, 80, died Thursday, March 22, 2001, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville.

She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Mount Carmel.

Surviving are three daughters, Virginia Sue Hargrave and Linda Bogard, both of Keensburg, and Sherry White of Princeton, Ind.; three sons, William and Jack, both of Grayville, and Harold of Keensburg; two sisters, Billie Floz of Evansville and Violet Earls of Virginia; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Her husband, Thomas P., died in 1997.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Short Funeral Home, with burial in Highland Memorial cemetery.

Friends may call from noon to service time.

Nicholas Pyle

CARMI — Nicholas Wayne “Nick” Pyle, 86, died Wednesday, March 21 2001, at Rolling Hills Healthcare Center in New Albany, Ind.

He retired as a meat inspector for the US Department of Agriculture.

He was a member of Kingdom Baptist Church, Fort Branch, Ind., Masonic Lodge and Eastern Star and the Evansville Scottish Rite.

Surviving are his wife, Laura M. (Stephens); a daughter, Sara A. Aebersold of New Albany; a brother, Marion of Carmi; a grandchild; and a great-grandchild.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Market Street Chapel/Seabrook Deickmann & Naville Funeral Home in New Albany, Ind., with burial in Kingdom Baptist Church cemetery in Carmi at 1 p.m. Sunday.

Nancy Stone

ROBINSON — Nancy Ellen Stone, 84, died Thursday March 22, 2001, at Canterbury Ridge in Urbana.

She was an Avon Representative for 20 years and a member of Highland Church of Christ in Robinson.

Surviving are two daughters, Gloria Belew of Rockdale, Texas, and Debra Wesley of Mahomet; a son, Robert D. of Graves, Texas; a sister, Thelma Leggett of Oblong; 10 grandchildren, Joelle and Justin Wesley, Lance and David Belew, David and Michael Stone, Kae Atkinson, Shannon Isaac and Joe and Rachael Robbins; two great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Her husband, Murven C. “Mc, ” died in 1981,

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Pulliam Funeral Home, with burial in Hardinville cemetery.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 8 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Make A Wish Foundation.

Helen Walters

OBLONG — Helen Walters, 84, died Tuesday, March 20, 2001, at Crawford Memorial Hospital. She retired from the First National Bank in 1982 as head bookkeeper.

She was a member of the First Christian Church and Royal Neighbors.

There are no immediate survivors.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Pulliam Funeral Home, with burial in Oblong cemetery.

Friends may call from 8 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Oblong Schools Academic Foundation.

Perlia Farmer

MOUNT CARMEL — Perlia Farmer, 94, died Tuesday, March 20, 2001, at Oakview Heights Nursing Home.

He retired after 30 years as a welder from the New York Central Railroad.

Surviving are nieces and nephews. His wife, Mary (Crews), died in 1995.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Highland Memorial cemetery.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. to service time at the Short Funeral Home.

Gladys Evans

GALATIA — Gladys L. Evans, died Wednesday, March 21, 2001, at Harrisburg Medical Center.

She worked for the Burrough Adding Machine Plant in Plymouth, Mich., for 27 years.

She was a member of Galatia Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are her husband, Charles; a sister, Pauline Kaytor of Galatia; and a brother, Elmo McFarland of Thompsonville, Ill.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Sloan Funeral Home, with burial in Webber Campground cemetery.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Murle Outcalt

ROBINSON — Murle M. Outcalt, 90, died Wednesday, March 21, 2001, at Crawford Memorial Hospital.

She was a member of Presbyterian Church in Palestine and Royal Neighbors.

Surviving are a daughter, Beverly Joslin of Toledo, Ohio; a brother, Russell B. Mills of Los Angeles; and a grandson, Jeffrey Joslin. Her husband, Everett R., died in 1993.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Pulliam Funeral Home, with burial in Jones cemetery in Flat Rock. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to service time.

Nina Austin

ELIZABETHTOWN — Nina H. Austin, 89, died Tuesday, March 20, 2001, at Hardin County General Hospital of cardiac arrest.

She worked as a licensed practical nurse for more than 30 years and was a member of Peters Creek Baptist Church.

Surviving are three daughters, Betty Richardson of Daytona Beach, Fla., Winona Sue Daymon of Belleville, Mich., and Janice Oxford of rural Elizabethtown; two sons, George W. Cronkrite of Menatare, Neb., and Robert F. Cronkrite of rural Elizabethtown; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, George Cronkrite and Roy Austine.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Peters Creek Church, with burial in the church cemetery.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at Hosick Funeral Home in Rosiclare.

Emily McDaniel

ROBINSON — Emily Jane McDaniel, 73, died Wednesday, March 21, 2001, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Ind. of complications of heart disease.

Surviving are her husband, Robert L.; a daughter, Robbie Estep of Terre Haute, Ind.; two sisters, Martha Jennings of Robinson and Pat Simons of New Hebron; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by an infant son, Robert.

There will be no service or visitation at Goodwine Funeral Home.
