Patti Lynn Carlock of St. Charles
Funeral services for Patti Lynn Carlock, 39, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, at Assembly of God Christian Center, 3450 Swenson Road, at the corner of Kirk and Swenson, St. Charles, with the Rev. Gary J. Blanchard officiating.
Born Oct. 12, 1959, in Elmhurst, the daughter of Edward B. Jr. and Reta Millard (nee Roy), she died Tuesday, March 2, 1999, at Delnor-Community Hospital, Geneva. Burial will be in Prairie Cemetery, St. Charles.
For 19 years, Patti was employed as a registered nurse at Delnor-Community Hospital, where she was coordinator, shift supervisor patient care services team, and an admissions/staffing coordinator.
She is survived by her husband of 18 years, Rogers; sons, Karl Edward and Justin Dale Carlock, both of St. Charles; her parents of St. Charles; brothers, Edward Bryan (Dorothy) Millard of Mahomet, Ill. and Keith Charles (Anna Marie) Millard of St. Charles; and sister, Toni Gail Law of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Katie Carlock.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, and from 1 to 8 p.m. Friday, at Norris Funeral Home, 100 S. Third St., St. Charles.

Grayce Sleezer Carlson of Elgin
Services for Grayce Sleezer Carlson, 86, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, at First United Methodist Church, 216 E. Highland Ave., Elgin, with the Rev. Thomas Walker officiating.
Born Aug. 30, 1912, in Millbrook, Ill., the daughter of Wallace and Marguerite Breck Sleezer, she passed away Monday, March 1, 1999, at her home.
Burial will be in Bluff City Cemetery, Elgin.
Mrs. Carlson had been a resident of Elgin since 1953. Before retiring, she had been employed as a secretary, and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Elgin.
Survivors include her sister, Marguerite (Harley) Swanquist of Lagro, Ind.; brother, William W. Sleezer of Aurora; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bertrand E. Carlson, in 1981; and two brothers, Paul and Charles Sleezer.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, at Laird Funeral Home, 310 S. State St., Elgin, and from 12:30 p.m. until the time of services at 1 p.m., Saturday, at the church.
Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, Elgin; Millbook Methodist Church, Millbrook; or the American Cancer Society.

Ronald M. Carlson of St. Charles
Funeral services for Ronald M. `Ron' Carlson, 66, will be held at 11a.m. Saturday, at the Congregational UCC Church in St. Charles, with the Rev. Dr. John Rodgers officiating.
Born May 26, 1932, in Columbus, Ohio, to Max and Lucile Carlson, he died Tuesday, March 2, 1999, at Provena St. Joseph Hospital, Elgin.
Burial will be private.
Mr. Carlson was employed by Gaylord Container in St. Charles for 31 years.
After his retirement, he was very active in all of St. Charles High School's sporting events.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Nedene; children, Doug (Teri) Carlson of Elgin, Cristy (Brad) White of Aurora, Cathy (John) Batten of Wheaton and Dean (Joan) Carlson of Byron, Ill.; sister, Margaret Hill of Columbus, Ohio; grandchildren, Adrien Hawkins, Rachael White, Sarah Carlson, Ashley Carlson, Chaundre White, Matthew Carlson, Tim Batten, Aaron White, Kelsey White and Katie Batten; niece, Nan (David) Haynes of Canal Winchester, Ohio; nephew, Paul (Susan) Hill of West Palm Beach, Fla.; and great-niece, Victoria Hill.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Cindy Carlson; and lifelong companion, Samantha.
Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday, at Yurs Funeral Home, 405 E. Main St., St. Charles.

Lucille M. Eaker of Libertyville
Memorial services for Lucille M. Eaker, 78, will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, at St. Lawrence Episcopal Church, 125 W. Church St., Libertyville. The Rev. Jedediah D. Holdorph II will officiate.
Born Sept. 1, 1920, in Chicago, she passed away Tuesday, Feb. 23, 1999, at her home.
A former resident of Eugene, Ore., and Mundelein, Mrs. Eaker had lived in Libertyville since 1988. She was a member of St. Lawrence Episcopal Church in Libertyville and a former employee of Marshall Field's at Hawthorn Center in Vernon Hills.
Surviving are her children, Virginia St. Claire and James Burke, both of Libertyville; grandchildren, Marc (Heidi) Lee and Matthew Lee, both of Indianapolis, Ind., and Anna Burke and Kristin Burke, both of Libertyville; sister, Ruth Sweeney of Eugene; and brother, Albert (Mary Alice) MacNaul of New Brunsfield, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, James Burke, in 1980; second husband, John Patrick Eaker, in 1988; and sister, Madge Lee.
Contributions in Mrs. Eaker's memory may be made to a charity of donor's choice.

Geraldine M. Elwing of Elk Grove

Born Nov. 26, 1915, she died Monday, March 1, 1999, at Northwest Community Healthcare. Interment will be in Acacia Park Cemetery.
A homemaker, she was the wife of the late Howard Elwing; mother of Dan (Jill) Elwing and Sharon Thomas of Elk Grove Village; grandmother of Jennifer, Elizabeth, Daniel, Michael, Mark and James; and aunt of several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday, with services at 8 p.m., at the funeral chapel.

Irene M. Fezekas of Carol Stream

Born Nov. 16, 1925, in Aurora, she died Tuesday, March 2, 1999, at home. Interment will be private.
Survivors include her sons, Arnold (Shelly) Fezekas and Terry Fezekas; daughter, Barbara (Robert) Oberwise; grandchildren, Mark, Robyn (Bob) Stark and David; and great-grandson, Ryan.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Andrew Frank; and sister, Helen Oros.

Evelyn M. Gackowski of Palatine

She was the wife of Norbert Gackowski of Palatine; mother of Linda (Thomas) Bradley of Bartlett, Laura (Terrence) Lange of Rolling Meadows, Lawrence (Heather) Gackowski of Arlington Heights, Leonard (Elaine) Gackowski of Chesterton, Ind. and Lance (Laura) Gackowski of DeKalb; grandmother of Melissa, Scott, Cindy, Sharon, Andy, Cliff, Cara, Callie, Lynn, Jessica, Daniel and Stephen; and sister of Mary (Ben) Sarro of Louisiana, Vivian (Norman) Hansen of Lake Zurich and the late Gloria (Tony) Quatraro.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Lucy Cortina.

Frank P. Gajewski-Gay of Arlington Heights

He was the beloved husband of Judy (nee Goodwin); loving father of Daniel (Kelly), David (Tanja) and Jennifer (Daniel) Schatz; dearest grandfather of Daniel and Stephanie Schatz and Taylor Gajewski; dear brother of John (Loretta) of Omaha, Neb. and the late Jerome; brother-inlaw of Vera Gajewski; fond son-in-law of Dorothy Goodwin; and uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Jeremy M. Govekar of Beach Park
Services for Jeremy M. Govekar, 22, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, at Our Lady of Humility Church, 10655 W. Wadsworth Road, Beach Park.
Born Nov. 12, 1976, in Waukegan, he died Tuesday, March 2, 1999, in Lake Forest. Burial will be in Ascension Cemetery.
Mr. Govekar was a member of the United Food and Commercial Workers Union and K. S. K. J. St. Mary's Lodge 79.
He was a graduate of Antioch High School and the College of Lake County.
Survivors include his father, Gary Govekar of Beach Park; mother, Maureen Grover and stepfather, Robert Grover, both of Lindenhurst; sisters, Kelly Govekar and Jessica and Abigail Grover, all of Lindenhurst; grandparents, Myron and Nancy Grover of North Chicago; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Eugene and Elizabeth McGaughey, and Paul and Dorothy Govekar.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today, at Marsh Funeral Home of Gurnee, 305 Cemetery Road, Gurnee, and from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Friday, at the church.

Doris Jean Helgesen of Palatine
Services for Doris Jean Helgesen (nee Sward), 75, a resident of Palatine since 1930, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, at Ahlgrim & Sons Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Highway,Palatine.
Born Feb. 23, 1924, in Chicago, she died Tuesday, March 2, 1999, at Good Shepherd Hospital, Barrington. Interment will be private.
Mrs. Helgesen was a longtime, devoted member of the First Church of Christ Scientist of Palatine. She had a great love of camping and was a former active member of Good Sams Club - Lazy Sams Chapter 7 and a member of the OES Chapter 585 of Palatine.
Doris will be especially remembered for loving and caring very deeply for her family.
She was the beloved wife for 57 years of Alfred T. A. Helgesen of Palatine, her childhood sweetheart; children, Kenneth (Patricia) Helgesen of Crystal Lake, Nancy (Alan) Littman of Pepper Pike, Ohio, Carol Anne (Craig) Johnson of Aurora, Larry (Monica) Helgesen of Houston, Texas, and Terry (Joanie) Helgesen of Farmington Hills, Mich.; devoted grandmother of Courtney Schaefer, Darby O'Rourke, Bradley and Heather Johnson, and James, Bailey, Kelly, Casey, Erik, Ashley, Caitlin and Tierney Helgesen; and great-grandmother of William and Hannah Schaefer.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home.
