Mary E. Lowry formerly of Elk Grove Village
Graveside services for Mary E. Lowry, 65, of Lead Hill, Ark., will be held 2 p.m. Friday, at Milum Cemetery, Lead Hill.
Born June 30, 1933, she died Sunday, March 7, 1999, in Lead Hill.
Mrs. Lowry was once named Mrs. Elk Grove and leaves many friends in both Elk Grove and Arkansas.
Survivors include her sister, Linda (Jon) Heinzen of Rolling Meadows; children, Thad (Lori) of Highlands Ranch, Colo., Elaine (John) Mustoe of Webster Springs, W. Va., Ed (Wendy) of Lead Hill and Dorothy (Darrel) Haldiman of Clarksburg, Mo.; and eight grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her former husband, William; and parents, Harry and Jessie Marshall, also formerly of Elk Grove Village.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, at Holt Memorial Chapel, 1904 Capps Rd., Harrison, Ark.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Hills, P. O. Box 1927, Harrison, AR 72601.

Sylvia L. Marsala of Naperville
Services for Sylvia L. Marsala, 75, of Naperville, will begin at 9:30a.m. Thursday, at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville, and continue with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m., at St Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 1450 Green Trails Drive, Naperville.
Born Aug. 25, 1923, in Chicago, she died Monday, March 8, 1999, at Edward Hospital, Naperville. Interment will be in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside.
Mrs. Marsala was formerly a resident of Lisle and Arizona. She was a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Naperville and had been employed at American Gymnastics of Naperville, where she was the office manager.
Survivors include her daughters, Kathleen (Thomas) Barnes of Gilbert, Ariz., and Linda (Tom) Lynch of Oswego; son, Paul J. (Denise) Marsala of Naperville; grandchildren, Jami, Alysha (Russ), Jim, Michael, Jessica, Tom, Danny, Tami and Traci; great-grandsons, Bryan and Tyler; and brother, Fred Zielinski of Norridge.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul J. Marsala Sr.; and brothers, Alex, Leonard, Florian and Richard Zielinski.
Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home.

Ralph H. Martin of Des Plaines
Services for Ralph H. Martin, 69, will be held at 1 p.m. today, at First United Methodist Church in Des Plaines, where he will lie in state from noon until the time of services.
Born March 3, 1930, in Buffalo, N. Y., he died Friday, March 5, 1999, at Holy Family Hospital, Des Plaines. Burial will be in Ridgewood Cemetery, Des Plaines.
Mr. Martin was the president of Wm. L. Kunkel Realtors. He had been a resident of Des Plaines since 1957 and was a former alderman. He was also a member of many civic, state and national organizations.
He was the beloved husband for 44 years of Frances Martin (nee Kunkel); loving father of sons, Stewart(Maris) Martin and Glen Martin, and daughters, Elizabeth Martin and Suzanne (Robert) Mahnke; proud grandfather of Miles, Taryn, Brystel and Emily; and dear brother of William (Marcia) Martin and the late Herbert (Julie) Martin.
Memorials may be made to the Lattof YMCA, 300 Northwest Hwy., Des Plaines.
Arrangements were made by G. L. Hills Funeral Home, Des Plaines.

Martha Mattson, 90, of Schaumburg, died Monday, March 8, 1999. Arrangements were made by Michaels Funeral Home, Schaumburg, (847) 891-2900.

Harold Oleson of Elgin
Services for Harold Oleson, 86, will be held at noon Thursday, at Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Church, Elgin. The Rev. Paul Hayes will officiate.
Born Sept. 9, 1912, in Sycamore, the son of Ola and Olga Hanson Oleson, he died Monday, March 8, 1999, at Provena St. Joseph Hospital in Elgin. Burial will be in Lakewood Memorial Park, Elgin.
Mr. Oleson had been a resident of Elgin since 1936. He had been employed by F. Landon Cartage Company in Proviso before retiring, and then by Sybaquay Girl Scout Council in Elgin for several years.
He was a member of Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #799 of Elgin and past vice president of Teamsters Local #330. He was also a member of Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Church of Elgin.
Survivors include his daughters, Donna (George) Scaravelli of Elgin and Linda Clark of Lake in the Hills; son, William (Janet) Oleson of Liberal, Kan.; grandchildren, William (Suzanne) Oleson, Heather (Clark) Brigger, Margaret (Adam) White, Ian and Jalin Clark; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Erik, Katherine, Emma and Christopher; and brother, William (Fritzie) Olesen of Elgin.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Gertrude Miskey Oleson; brothers, Edmund, Elmer, Edward, George and Roy Oleson; sisters, Hilda Madsen and Helen Mink; and son-in-law, James Clark.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, at Laird Funeral Home, 310 S. State St., Elgin, and from 11 a.m. until the time of services, Thursday, at the church.
Memorials may be given to the church.

Wilford C. Papenthien of Arlington Heights
Services for Wilford C. Papenthien, 91, a resident of Arlington Heights for more than 50 years, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, at Lauterburg and Oehler FuneralHome, 2000 E. Northwest Hwy., Arlington Heights.
Born Oct. 8, 1907, in Chicago, he died Monday, March 8, 1999, at St. Alexius Medical Center. Entombment will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery Mausoleum.
Mr. Papenthien had worked for the Chicago Tribune and William H. Poole Printing Company as a typesetter. For more than 70 years, he was a member of the Chicago Typographical Union #16. After retirement, he worked for the Mount Prospect Public Works Department.
He was the husband of the late Ruth M. Papenthien (nee Kohler), to whom he was married for 42 years; father of Judith (George) Schauner; brother of the late Ruth Wedell and Myrtle Dahlstrom; grandfather of Steven and Lisa Schauner; and uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.

Ineborg W. Ritzel of Wheeling
Services for Ineborg W. Ritzel, 70, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, at the Lutheran Home for the Aged, 800 W. Oakton St., Arlington Heights.
Born Sept. 11, 1928, in Germany, she died Monday, March 8, 1999, at Holy Family Hospital in Des Plaines. Interment will be in Ridgewood Cemetery, Des Plaines.
She was the wife of the late Carl Ritzel; mother of Rosemarie Jones, Norman (Renee), Steve and the late Martin Ritzel; grandmother of seven; and sister of Dietel Retat and Irene Stecheren.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday, at the Lutheran Home.

Frank W. Rukstales of Waukegan
Services for Frank W. Rukstales, 80, will be held at 11:30 a.m. today,at Gurnee Funeral Home, 4190 Old Grand Ave., Gurnee.
Born July 10, 1918, in Kenosha, Wis., he died Sunday, March 7, 1999, at St. Therese Medical Center in Waukegan. Interment will be in Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville.
He lived in Waukegan most of his life and attended Waukegan High School. He retired in 1978, from U. S. Steel after 38 years of service.
Survivors include his son, Chuck (Faye) Rukstales of Barrington; grandchildren, Jaime and Julie Rukstales, Nicole Cortichiato and Dann Wade Shebesta; brother, Raymond (Adrienne) Rukstales of Arlington Heights; stepsister, Dr. Eugenia Gurkis of Union Lake, Mich.; and sisters-in-law, Violet Rukstales of Pleasant Prairie, Wis. and Mary and Lois Rukstales of Zion. He was a special uncle to Larry and Bob Dasher and Marilyn Oliver, and many other nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Florence (nee Biere), whom he married on March 30,1940; parents, Frank and Velma Rukstales; stepmother, Josephine; brothers, Victor, Tony and John Rukstales; and stepsister, Ruth Roy.
Donations to the American Heart Association, have been suggested.

Kathryn M. Sawusch of Libertyville
Services for Kathryn M. Sawusch, 94, will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, at the Burnett-Dane Funeral Home, 120 W. Park Ave. (Route 176), Libertyville. Pastor Martin E. Schoell will officiate.
Born Feb. 16, 1905, in Grayslake, she passed away Tuesday, March 19, 1999, at the Libertyville Manor. She had been a Libertyville resident for most of her life.
Interment services will be on Saturday at teh Lakeside Cemetery in Libertyville.
A former member of the Faith Lutheran Church in Antioch, she was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Libertyville. She and her late husband were the owners of Sawusch Motor Sales in Libertyville from1933 to 1946.
Survivors include her daughter, Florence (Marshall) Froland of Sun City West, Ariz.; sons, Edward (late Mary) Sawusch of Irvine, Cal., Kenneth (Bea) Sawusch and Robert (Merilee) Sawusch, both of Libertyville; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and her sister, Jeanette (Earl) Brown of Beach Park, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Minnie Metcalf; husband, Edward on July 30, 1982; grandson, Peter Sawusch; brother, Cecil Metcalf; and sister, Mildred Wiegold.
Friends of the family may call at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday.
Memorial contributions may be made to either the Hospice of the Great Lakes or St. John's Lutheran Church in her memory.

Tosca V. Scala of Lisle
Prayers for Tosca V. Scala (nee Baldini), 86, will be held at 9:15 a.m. Friday, at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, at Route 53 and Short St., Lisle, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass at St. Joan of Arc Church.
Born Dec. 2, 1912, in Italy, she died Tuesday, March 9, 1999, at Resthaven West. Interment will be in Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
A member of St. Joan of Arc Church, she was the wife of the late Michael; mother of Michael (Judy) Scala and Lusia (Gerry) Buehler; daughter of the late Nello and Gemma Bladini; grandmother of Vicki, Michael, Stephen Scala and Christopher Buehler; and aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Born May 6, 1918, in Clark County, Ill., she died Monday, March 8, 1999, at Alexian Brothers Medical Center. Interment will be in Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
She was the wife of the late Thomas Schillaci; mother of Joseph (Tavsca) Schillaci of Denver, Colo., Thomas (Dianna) Schillaci of Bartlett, David Schillaci of Bartlett and James Schillaci of Bartlett; sister of Cora Nixon, Mary Hargis, Lenora Figg, Jean Roach, John Mason, and the late Woodrow Mason, Rebecca Hargis,Paul Mason, Ray Mason and Charles Mason; and grandmother of Christopher, Jillian, Thomas and Janice.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.
