Marcie Hahn
A memorial service for Marcie Hahn (nee Anderson), 46, will be held at 11 a.m. today, at the First United Methodist Church, 1903 E. Euclid, Arlington Heights.
A celebration of life will take place at 1 p.m. at the Cancer Wellness Center, 215 Revere Dr., Northbrook, IL 60062.
Born June 17, 1952, in Pennsylvania, she died at her home on Tuesday, March 9, 1999, surrounded in love.
She is survived by her loving husband, Thomas; daughters, Bridgette and Kelly Shaw; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was the beloved daughter of Phyllis Anderson (Rich Bloecker) of Palatine and Richard (Rae) Anderson of Phoenix, Ariz.; dear sister of Stacy (David) DuPree; and loving aunt of Daine and Quinn.
Marcie always followed her heart and brought joy to all that she touched. In recent years, she had worked as a volunteer, and then on the staff at the Cancer Wellness Center in Northbrook, where she helped others cope and overcome their disease, as she courageously battled breast cancer herself for nearly 14 years.
Her love of life and laughter helped in this battle, and she will be greatly missed.
Please omit flowers; contributions may be made to the Cancer Wellness Center (address listed above), which provides free psychological, social and emotional help for cancer patients and their loved ones.
Arrangements were made by Cremation Society of Illinois.

Marlette H. Harkins of Elk Grove Village for 27 years
Services for Marlette H. Harkins (nee Ringstmeyer) will be held at 8 p.m. Saturday, at Grove Memorial Chapel, 1199 S. Arlington Heights Road (three blocks south of Biesterfield Road), Elk Grove Village.
Born in Germany, she died Wednesday, March 10, 1999, at Alexian Brothers Hospice House. Interment will be private.
She was the beloved wife of William T. Harkins; loving mother of Susan (James) Ferguson and the late William H. Harkins; cherished grandmother of Kimberley (Mark) Osimowicz, Michelle (Rob) Schultz, Maureen Ferguson, Anthony Adorno, Dominic Adorno and Deborah (Ken) Terry; and dear sister of Donald (Jan) Ringstmeyer and the late Edelgarde Buelow.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Saturday, at the funeral home.
Please omit flowers. Memorials may be made to Alexian Brothers Hospice House.

Virginia Hegstrom, 66, of Elgin, died Thursday, March 11, 1999. Arrangements were made by Laird Funeral Home, Elgin, (847) 741-8800.

Rodger Himmel
Rodger Himmel, 53, most recently of San Diego, Calif., formerly of Chicago, died Monday, March 8, 1999. A memorial service will be held at his parents' home in San Diego today. A burial service is tentatively planned for April 2 at Shalom Memorial Park, Arlington Heights.
For more than 25 years, Rodger enthusiastically taught and directed elementary and junior high school concert and jazz bands for Bloomingdale School District #13.
Rodger remained a talented musician, playing the saxophone in numerous bands throughout the Chicagoland area.
Survivors include his parents, Marvin and Maxine of San Diego; brother, Jay (Kay) of Atlanta, Calif.; daughter, Janice of Chicago; and son, Kevin (Lori) of Denver, Colo.

Lillian L. Heck (nee Lorr), 96, of Itasca, formerly of Antioch, died Wednesday, March 10, 1999. Arrangements were made by Abbey Harbor Funeral Service, Itasca, (630) 773-8433.

Elias G. `Lou' Kalomiris of Palatine
Services for Elias G. `Lou' Kalomiris, 73, will be held at10 a.m. Saturday, at St. Nectarios Greek Orthodox Church, 133 S. Roselle Rd., Palatine.
Mr. Kalomiris died Wednesday, March 10, 1999, at Northwest Community Healthcare. Interment will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Arlington Heights.
A retired comptroller for Andies Candies, he was a charter member and past treasurer of St. Nectarios Church Parish council. Mr. Kalomiris was a veteran of World War II in the Army Air Corps.
Survivors include his wife, Ellie Gianikopoulos Kalomiris; children, Dean Kalomiris, George (Dana) Kalomiris and Lia Kalomiris; brother, John (Lorraine) Kalomiris; sister, Dorothy Kalomiris; and grandchildren, Lauren and Ellis Kalomiris.
He was preceded in death by his sisters, Georgia Kalomiris and Anne Yelton.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today, at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 185 E. Northwest Hwy., Palatine.
Memorials may be made to St. Nectarios Greek Orthodox Church, 133 S. Roselle Rd., Palatine, IL 60067.

Josephine H. Kapustka of Des Plaines
Mass for Josephine H. Kapustka (nee Gielarowski) will be celebrated at 11:15 a.m. Saturday, at St. Mary Church. Entombment will be in St. Adalbert Cemetery.
A homemaker, she was the wife of the late Edward A.; mother of Thomas (Patricia) Kaye and Joenda (Frank) Lechocki; sister of Lorraine (the late Earl) Peterson; grandmother of Jim and Jeff Lechocki and Dave and Rick Kaye; and aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today, at Oehler Funeral Home, 555 Lee St., Des Plaines.

Robert King of Antioch
A memorial service for Robert King, 73, will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, at the United Methodist Church, 848 Main St., Antioch.
Mr. King passed away Sunday, Feb. 21, 1999, at Condell Medical Center in Libertyville. Interment will be private.
He leaves his wife, Marese `Terry' King.
Arrangements were made by Strang Funeral Chapel and Crematorium, Ltd., Grayslake.

Violet L. Loewe (nee Brusso), 80, of Elk Grove Village, died Wednesday, March 10, 1999. Arrangements were made byThe Oaks Funeral Home, Itasca, (630) 250-8588.

Anna `Annie' Lomedico of Elgin
A funeral Mass for Anna `Annie' Lomedico, 90, formerly of Old Town, Carpentersville, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Rev. Michael Morrissey will officiate.
Born Nov. 1, 1908, in New Haven, Conn., the daughter of Guiseppe and Angelina (nee Borelli) Maisto, she passed away Tuesday, March 9, 1999. Burial will be in Dundee Township Cemetery.
She was a member of St. Catherine Church in Dundee until 1959, when she moved to Elgin then becoming a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Prior to her marriage to John B. Lomedico on June 12, 1932, Annie was employed in the business office of the Boston Store in the Chicago Loop. She later was employed as a seamstress in the garment industry for 32 years, retiring in 1973 after many year of employment at the Brody Coat Company.
Survivors include her daughter, Angeline (Gerald) Hajner of Elgin; son, John Lomedico of Elgin; and brother, Joseph Maisto of Elgin.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John on March 6, 1969; sister, Virginia Maisto at age 4; brothers, Anthony at age 2 and Anthony II in infancy, and James and Nicholas Maisto.
Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, at O'Connor and Homeier Funeral Home, 364 Division St., Elgin.
Memorials may be made to St. Catherine's Church in Dundee, St. Joseph's Church in Elgin or the charity of your choice.

Albert F. Losik of Grayslake
Funeral services for Albert F. Losik, 49, will be held at noon Saturday, at Strang Funeral Chapel and Crematorium, Ltd., 410 E. Belvidere Rd., Grayslake.
Rev. Thomas Reformat of St. Gilberts Catholic Church in Grayslake, will officiate.
Born Nov. 22, 1949, in Chicago, he passed away Tuesday, March 9, 1999. Interment will be in St. Adalbert Cemetery.
A resident of Grayslake for the past eight years, he was a 1968 graduate of Carl Schurz High School. Albert was a softball coach for the Grayslake Park District and a dog obedience trainer.
He leaves his wife, Christine (nee Tabor); children, Alison and Rena Losik; brother, Christopher Losik; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Bernice Losik.
Friends of the family may visit from 3 to 9 p.m. today, at the funeral chapel.
There will be additional parking across the street at St. Gilbert Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family for the children's educational future.

Morris M. Mason of Geneva
Services for Morris M. Mason, 78, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, at Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. State, Geneva, with the Rev. Calvin Marcum officiating.
Born Dec. 25, 1920, inXenia, Ohio, to Lloyd and Eva (nee Willis) Mason, he passed away Wednesday, March 10, 1999, at Delnor-Community Hospital, Geneva.
Committal services will be at River Hills Cemetery, Batavia, following the funeral services.
Mr. Morris was a 1940 graduate of East Aurora High School and a veteran of World War II, having served in the Army Air Corps with the rank of first lieutenant. He was retired from Strathmore Printing Company of Geneva, where he worked many years as the director of estimating. Mr. Mason was a member of American Legion Post 75 of Geneva, the St. Charles Moose Lodge and Fox Valley Presbyterian Church of Geneva. He was an avid reader and a Civil War buff, and also loved poetry. Most of all, Morris was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother, and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Lorraine Mason (nee Bentley), whom he married Jan. 5, 1946 at First Presbyterian Church in Aurora; daughters, Connie A. (Bruce) Stahl of Geneva and Ann L. (Robert) Lukach of Aurora; sons, Bentley J. Mason of Batavia, Brian K. (Krista) Mason of Nevada, Bradford M. (Carol) Mason of Geneva and Brett G. (Dorothy) Mason of California; grandchildren, Melissa J. Slemp, Rashelle L. Weglarz, Lindsay E. Stahl, Justin A. Mason, Nicole R. Mason, Andrew J. Mason, Loran D. and J. Mason Moore, and Brittany A. Mason; great-grandchildren, Thomas J. Duggar, Robin R. Slemp and Casey A. Scott; sisters, Shirley Holt and Helyn Rowe, both of Florida; and brothers, Honus Mason of Wisconsin and Lloyd Mason Jr. of Florida.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Raymond Mason.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home.

Ronald A. Mattes of Mount Prospect for 26 years
Prayers for Ronald A. Mattes, 63, formerly of Chicago, will be held at 9:15 a.m. Monday, at Matz Funeral Home, 410 E. Rand Road, Mount Prospect, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass at St. Cecilia Church.
He died Wednesday, March 10, 1999, at Northwest Community Healthcare. Entombment will be in All Saints Cemetery Mausoleum.
For 30 years, Mr. Mattes was a firefighter in Skokie, and for eight years, worked as a training officer in Elk Grove Village.
He is survived by his wife, Helene (nee Pfister); sons, Jeffrey (Patricia) and Gary (Lori); daughter, Pamela (Richard) Harnisch; brother, James (Karen); and grandchildren, Jessica, Erik, Kati, Kelli and Mark.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials made to the American Cancer Society or the Leukemia Foundation would be appreciated.
