Lillian Barich formerly of Batavia
Prayers for Lillian Barich, 87, of Westmont, also formerly of Chicago, will be said at 9:30 a.m. Monday, at Yurs-Peterson Funeral Home, 209 S. Batavia Ave., Batavia. Services will follow at 10 a.m. at Holy Cross Church in Batavia.
Rev. Mark Campabello will officiate.
Born Sept. 27, 1911, in Angels Camp, Calif., the daughter of Bob and Sophie Lepetich, she passed away Thursday, March 11, 1999, at the Burgess Square Health Center in Westmont. Interment will be in Assumption Cemetery, Wheaton.
Mrs. Barich was employed many years at the Harris Bank in Chicago, until her retirement in 1989. She devoted her life to her family and treasured her special times with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Andreena (Richard) Droeske of Batavia; sons, Jerome (Martha) Barich of Newport Beach, Calif. and Christopher (Diane) Barich of Woodridge; brother, Thomas Dabovich of Wheaton; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
In addition toher parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Barich, whom she married on July 16, 1934, in Chicago; daughter, Corinne Whynott; and sister, Diana Loos.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home.
Contributions in her memory may be made to the donor's choice.

Joseph John Baum of Arlington Heights
Services for Joseph John Baum, 85, will be held at 11 a.m. today, at the Lutheran Home, 800 W. Oakton, Arlington Heights.
Born April 29, 1913, in Chicago, he died Thursday, March 11, 1999, in Arlington Heights. Interment will be private.
Mr. Baum was a former resident of Chicago and had been employed as an engineer for the City of Chicago. He was a former Democratic precinct captain and a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Chicago.
He was the beloved husband of Martha Baum (nee Behnke); loving father of Ronald M. (Linda) Baum; proud grandfather of Brian Moran, Kevin Baum, Julie Baum and Ronald A. (Debra) Baum; and great-grandfather of Jeffrey and Julie.
He was preceded in death by his sisters, Jean (Joe) Waltz and Emma (Walter) Belniak.
Arrangements were made by G. L. Hills Funeral Home, Des Plaines.

George `Allen' Burns formerly of Hoffman Estates
Services for George `Allen' Burns, 68, of Chicago, will be held at 8:30 p.m. today, at Montclair Lucania Funeral Home, 6901 W. Belmont Ave., Chicago.
Born Oct. 21, 1930, in Chicago, he died Thursday, March 11, 1999, at home. Burial will be in Green Acres Cemetery, Scottsdale, Ariz.
A retired director and stage manager for CBS, he is survived by his wife, Marcia Frank; children, Dean (Mary) Burns, Van A. Burns and Tracy (Russell) Scurto; and five grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until the time of services today, at the funeral home.

Larry W. Carley, 57, of Lockport and Galena, formerly of Lombard, died Wednesday, March 10, 1999. Arrangements were made by Brust Funeral Home, Lombard, (630) 629-0094.

Alice Coduti, 92, formerly of Chicago, died Tuesday, March 9, 1999. Arrangements were made by Steuerle Funeral Home, Villa Park, (630) 832-4161.

Lowell M. Corbin
Services for Lowell M. Corbin, 79, of Bartlett, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, at Yurs Funeral Home, 405 E. Main St., St. Charles.
Born Jan. 5, 1920, in Kelly, Colo., he passed away Wednesday, March 10, 1999, at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield.
Interment will be in Mount Emblem Cemetery.
He served in the Navy during World War II.
He was the beloved husband of 58 years of Betty; dear father of Roma (Matthew) Ettswold, Sharon Cascio and Denise Corbin; fond grandfather of Christopher Lowell Cascio and Eden J. Ettswold; fond brother of Dennis Corbin, Keith (Thelma) Corbin, and the late Orville Corbin and Margarite Dwiggins; and uncle of several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home.

Stanley C. Giese, D. D. S. formerly of Wheaton
Services for Dr. Stanley C. Giese, 70, recently of Aurora and formerly a resident of Wheaton for 42 years, will be held at 10 a.m. today, at St. Matthew United Church of Christ, 1400 S. Gables, Wheaton.
Born May 23, 1928, in Chicago, he died Tuesday, March 9, 1999, at his home. Interment will be in Mount Olive Cemetery.
Dr. Giese graduated from Loyola Dental School in 1955 and practiced in Villa Park and Lombard for 42 years. He served as past president of the Far West Study Club, the Washington PTA and St. Matthew United Church of Christ. He was also a Boy Scout leader, youth choir director, church school teacher, choir member and talented artist, vocalist and musician. In retirement, he found great joy in preparing meals for the homeless as a PADS volunteer.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 47 years, Marilyn Giese; precious children, Deborah (Mark) Setterstrom, Terry Giese, Dr. Todd (Terry) Giese, Jean (John) Gorski and Pamela (Steve) Vorass; and 14 priceless grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Dr. Theodore Giese.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of services at 10 a.m. Saturday, at the church.

Milzor W. `Bill' Deist Jr. of North Aurora
Services for Milzor W. 'Bill' Deist Jr., 75, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, at The Healy Chapel, 332 W. Downer Place, Aurora. The Rev. Philip Lund will officiate.
Born March 1, 1924, in Chicago, to Milzor W. Sr. and Nettie A. (nee Hennig) Deist, he passed away Thursday, March 11, 1999, at Provena McAuley Manor. Interment will be in Lincoln Memorial Park.
Bill was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Batavia, where he sang in the choir. He worked for Commonwealth Edison for 38 years, retiring in March 1986.
Bill was a decorated veteran, serving in the Marine Corps during World War II in the Pacific Theater. He served in Guam, Saipan and Iwo Jima, where he participated in the victorious raising of the U. S. flag on the island. He was a longtime member of Wheaton VFW Post 2164. He also enjoyed coaching for the North Aurora Boys Baseball Leagues and was an Indian Guides tribe leader.
Survivors include his daughter, Janice (Philip) Rippinger of North Aurora; son, William `Kip' (Joan) Deist of North Aurora; grandchildren, Jon (Michelle) Rippinger of North Aurora, Phillip (Julie) Rippinger of Houston, Mo., Elizabeth (Jamie) Rusch of Thornton, Ill., Tricia (Jay Whitehall) Rippinger of Springfield, Mo., Jennifer (Christopher Thompson) Rippinger of St. Charles, and Jeffrey and Kenneth Deist of North Aurora; great-grandchildren, Michael, Amber, Amy and Joey Rippinger of North Aurora, Laura, Christopher and Calub Rippinger of Houston, Mo., and Samantha Rusch of Thornton; sister, Jeanne Fogle of Bellevue, Wash.; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Bette Jane Deist, in 1985; and brother, John Deist, in 1979.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral chapel.

Arville `John' Dellinger formerly of Des Plaines
Services for Arville `John' Dellinger, 66, of Elgin, will be held at 8 p.m. Sunday, at Oehler Funeral Home, 555 Lee St., Des Plaines.
Born Sept. 6, 1932, in Apex, N. C., he died Thursday, March 11, 1999, at his home. Burial will be private.
Mr. Dellinger was sworn in as a Des Plaines firefighter on May 26, 1962, and was promoted to lieutenant on Sept. 19, 1966. He served as a fire inspector and department photographer for many years.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Eileen Dellinger (nee Warnicke); son, Christopher Dellinger; daughter, Susan Dellinger; and two grandchildren. He is also survived by hismother, Roberta Dellinger; mother-in-law, Emily Warnicke; brother, Billy Dellinger; sister, Jackie Williams; and many sisters-in-law, brothersin-law, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until the time of services at 8 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home.

Arville `John' Dellinger formerly of Des Plaines

Services for Allan V. Drengberg, 49, will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday, at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 185 E. Northwest Highway, Palatine.
Born Oct. 14, 1949, in Chicago, he died Thursday, March 11, 1999. Interment will be private.
Among his special interests, Mr. Drengberg was an avid golfer.
He was the husband of Carol Drengberg; father of Dawn, Sherry and Wendy; grandfather of Joshua; son of Lillian and the late Herbert Drengberg; and brother of Diane (Bernie) Borst.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until the time of services at 6 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home.

Grace V. Ekstrand of Arlington Heights
Services for Grace V. Ekstrand (nee Bertschinger), 78, formerly of Palatine, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, 1234 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, where she will lie in state from 10 a.m. until the time of services. The Rev. Naomi Hawkins will officiate.
Born Feb. 12, 1921, in Chicago, she died Thursday, March 11, 1999, at her home in Luther Village. Burial will be private.
Mrs. Ekstrand was a bookkeeper for Weber-Stephens until her retirement in 1985. She was a charter member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church and a volunteer at Northwest Community Healthcare Center.
Survivors include her son, Robert (Marilyn) Ekstrand of San Diego, Calif.; granddaughter, Megan Lee Ekstrand; and one great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Lee Ekstrand, and son, Richard Lee Ekstrand Jr.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, at Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (four blocks south of Palatine Road), Arlington Heights.
Memorial contributions may be given to Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, 1234 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, IL 60004.
