Daniel R. Bolek of Addison
Prayers for Daniel R. Bolek, will be said at 9 a.m. Tuesday, at Salerno's Rosedale Chapels, 450 W. Lake St. (3/4 mile west of Bloomingdale/Roselle Rd. ), Roselle. Mass will follow at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Church. Interment will be in All Saints Cemetery.
He was the loving son of Walter and Loretta Bolek; dear brother of Don (Linda) and Dean Bolek; and dear uncle of Brittany and Donny Bolek.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today and Monday, at the funeral chapel.

Michael J. Brucato of Wauconda
Services for Michael J. Brucato, 78, will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, at Windridge Memorial Park Chapel, 7014 S. Rawson Bridge Road, Cary. The Rev. Robert Beaven of St. Gregory Catholic Church of Grayslake will officiate.
Born Aug. 19, 1920, in Chicago, he died Friday, March 12, 1999, at Lexington of Lake Zurich. Entombment will follow the services.
A resident of Wauconda for 42 years, Mr. Brucato was a retired engineer for Gefco Speakers in Grayslake. He was a former member of the Knights of Columbus.
He was the beloved husband of LaVerne Brucato (nee Weske) of Wauconda; loving father of David Brucato of Mundelein and Geralyn (Rick) Brose of Salem, Wis.; proud grandfather of seven; and great-grandfather of two.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Joseph and Salvatore Brucato.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of services at 1 p.m. Monday, at the cemetery chapel.
Memorials may be made to the Wauconda Fire Department, 109 W. Liberty St., Wauconda, IL 60084.
Arrangements were made by Windridge Funeral Home, Cary.

Jean Burns of Buffalo Grove
Prayers for Jean Burns (nee Lapka), 86, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, at Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road (four blocks south of Palatine), followed by an 11 a.m. Mass at St. Edna Catholic Church, 2525 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights.
Born May 1, 1912, in Chicago, she died Friday, March 12, 1999, at her home. Burial will be in St. Adalbert Cemetery, Niles.
Survivors include her sons, Kenneth (Betty) of Seattle, Wash., Edward (Karen) of Milwaukee, Wis. and Allen (Cathie) of Arlington Heights; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward, and son, James.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Monday, at the funeral home.

Norma M. Byrnes of Geneva
Funeral services for Norma M. Byrnes (nee Jukkala), 74, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, at Geneva Lutheran Church, 301 S. Third St., Geneva. She will lie in state from 9 a.m. until the time of services.
Rev. Paul Hammar will officiate.
Born May 5, 1924, in Tapiola, Mich., the daughter of Leonard and Annie (nee Sierra) Jukkala, she passed away Friday, March 12, 1999, at Delnor Community Hospital in Geneva. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Geneva.
A member of Geneva Lutheran Church, she was a homemaker who loved gardening, doing volunteer work with the seniors at Hotel Baker. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Mrs. Byrnes is survived by her daughters, Linda (Mike) Zierk of Elgin and Marilyn (Bill) Hardt of Naperville; grandchildren, Brad (Kim) Zierk of Schaumburg and Eric Zierk, who is a student at Western Illinois University; brothers, Matt (Martha) Jukkala, Arvi (Jean) Jukkala and Jack Jukkala, all of Michigan; and stepbrother, John Sierra of Michigan.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two stepbrothers; one stepsister; and husband, Charles R. in 1983.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, at Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. State St., Geneva.

Lowell M. Corbin
Services for Lowell M. Corbin, 79, of Bartlett, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, at Yurs Funeral Home, 405 E. Main St., St. Charles.
Born Jan. 5, 1920, in Kelly, Colo., he passed away Wednesday, March 10, 1999, at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield.
Interment will be in Mount Emblem Cemetery.
He served in the Navy during World War II.
He was the beloved husband of 58 years of Betty; dear father of Roma (Matthew) Ettswold, Sharon Cascio and Denise Corbin; fond grandfather of Christopher Lowell Cascio and Eden J. Ettswold; fond brother of Dennis Corbin, Keith (Thelma) Corbin, and the late Orville Corbin and Margarite Dwiggins; and uncle of several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Home for Endangered and Lost Pets, 1427 Orion Rd., Batavia, IL 60510.

Peter Cruz, 48, of Elgin, died Saturday, March 13, 1999. Arrangements were made by Laird Funeral Home, Elgin, (847) 741-8800.

Frank `Bud' Cummings, 74, of Lombard, died Friday, March 12, 1999. Arrangements were made by Knollcrest Funeral Home, Lombard, (630) 932-1500.

Jessica Lynn DeAcetis of Mundelein
Jessica Lynn DeAcetis, infant daughter of William and Jody (nee Guss) DeAcetis, passed away Thursday, March 4, 1999, at Lake Forest Hospital.
Also surviving are her twin sister, Rebecca; maternal grandparents, Robert and Aida Guss of Palatine; and paternal grandparents, James and Jinny DeAcetis of Skokie.
Private services for her family were held Saturday, March 13, 1999, at Burnett-Dane Funeral Home, Libertyville.

Milzor W. `Bill' Deist Jr. of North Aurora
Services for Milzor W. 'Bill' Deist Jr., 75, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, at The Healy Chapel, 332 W. Downer Place, Aurora. The Rev. Philip Lund will officiate.
Born March 1, 1924, in Chicago, to Milzor W. Sr. and Nettie A. (nee Hennig) Deist, he passed away Thursday, March 11, 1999, at Provena McAuley Manor. Interment will be in Lincoln Memorial Park.
Bill was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Batavia, where he sang in the choir. He worked for Commonwealth Edison for 38 years, retiring in March 1986.
Bill was a decorated veteran, serving in the Marine Corps during World War II in the Pacific Theater. He served in Guam, Saipan and Iwo Jima, where he participated in the victorious raising of the U. S. flag on the island. He was a longtime member of Wheaton VFW Post 2164. He also enjoyed coaching for the North Aurora Boys Baseball Leagues and was an Indian Guides tribe leader.
Survivors include his daughter, Janice (Philip) Rippinger of North Aurora; son, William `Kip' (Joan) Deist of North Aurora; grandchildren, Jon (Michelle) Rippinger of North Aurora, Phillip (Julie) Rippinger of Houston, Mo., Elizabeth (Jamie) Rusch of Thornton, Ill., Tricia (Jay Whitehill) Rippinger of Springfield, Mo., Jennifer (Christopher Thompson) Rippinger of St. Charles, and Jeffrey and Kenneth Deist of North Aurora; great-grandchildren, Michael, Amber, Amy and Joey Rippinger of North Aurora, Laura, Christopher and Calub Rippinger of Houston, Mo., and Samantha Rusch of Thornton; sister, Jeanne Fogle of Bellevue, Wash.; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Bette Jane Deist, in 1985; and brother, John Cameron, in 1979.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today, at the funeral chapel.

Allan V. Drengberg of Roselle
Services for Allan V. Drengberg, 49, will be held at 6 p.m. today, at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 185 E. Northwest Highway, Palatine.
Born Oct. 14, 1949, in Chicago, he died Thursday, March 11, 1999. Interment will be private.
Among his special interests, Mr. Drengberg was an avid golfer.
He was the husband of Carol Drengberg; father of Dawn, Sherry and Wendy; grandfather of Joshua; son of Lillian and the late Herbert Drengberg; and brother of Diane (Bernie) Borst.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until the time of services today, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the family would be appreciated.

Doris R. Engelhardt formerly of Palatine/Inverness
A memorial service for Doris R. Engelhardt, 86, of Naperville, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Palatine. Rev. Michelle McNamara will officiate.
Born Aug. 30, 1912, in Chicago, she passed away Thursday, March 11, 1999, at The Tillers in Oswego. Interment will be private.
She was one of the original resident of Inverness and former wife of the first mayor of Inverness. She was a member of the Garden Club, enjoyed bowling, and was a volunteer at Northwest Community Hospital. She also enjoyed golfing , reading, traveling and antiques.
Survivors include her daughter, Margo (John) Voltin of Austin, Texas; son, Robert (Joan) Engelhardt of Naperville; grandchildren, Dawn and Robert Engelhardt, John Eric Voltin and Shauna Martin; and sister, Edna Wachs of Palatine.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William.
Memorials may be made to St. Paul United Church of Christ in Palatine.
Arrangements were made by Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home, Naperville.

Rose M. Gauss of Buffalo Grove
Services for Rose M. Gauss, 70, will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, at Meadows Funeral Home, 3615 Kirchoff Rd., Rolling Meadows.
Born July 28, 1928, in Detroit, Mich., Mrs. Gauss died Friday, March 12, 1999, at Glenbrook Hospital in Glenview.
She was the wife of Gene Gauss; mother of Shana M. (Robert) Betz; Nanna to Erik, Steven and Greg Betz; daughter of Ignacio and the late Yvonne Hernandez; and sister of Joseph A. Hernandez, Nora (late Frank) Atteberry, Mary (Robert) Crowder and the late Theresa Hernandez.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
