Michael J. Brucato of Wauconda
Services for Michael J. Brucato, 78, will be held at 1 p.m. today, at Windridge Memorial Park Chapel, 7014 S. Rawson Bridge Road, Cary.
The Rev. Robert Beaven of St. Gregory Catholic Church of Grayslake will officiate.
Born Aug. 19, 1920, in Chicago, he died Friday, March 12, 1999, at Lexington of Lake Zurich. Entombment will follow the services.
A resident of Wauconda for 42 years, Mr. Brucato was a retired engineer for Gefco Speakers in Grayslake. He was a former member of the Knights of Columbus.
He was the beloved husband of LaVerne Brucato (nee Weske) of Wauconda; loving father of David Brucato of Mundelein, Geralyn (Rick) Brose of Salem, Wis. and Michelle (Eric) Zillman of Glenview; proud grandfather of seven; and great-grandfather of two.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Joseph and Salvatore Brucato.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of services at 1 p.m. today, at the cemetery chapel.
Memorials may be made to the Wauconda Fire Department, 109 W. Liberty St., Wauconda, IL 60084.
Arrangements were made by Windridge Funeral Home, Cary.

Ruth A. Buehler of Elgin
Services for Ruth A. Buehler, 93, will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, at Laird Funeral Home, 310 S. State St., Elgin. Rev. Sung Ja Moon will officiate.
Born Dec. 13, 1905, the daughter of Harry and Minnie (nee Wendt) Walter, she passed away Friday, March 12, 1999, at the Apostolic Christian Resthaven. Burial will be in Bluff City Cemetery.
A resident of Elgin most of her life, she was a member of the Wesley United Church of Elgin and the Elgin Woman's Club.
Survivors include her son-in-law, Richard Bailey of Elgin; grandson, Scott D. Bailey of Salt Lake City, Utah; stepsons, Carl (Rebecca) Buehler of Fishers, Ind. and Douglas Buehler of Elgin; six stepgrandchildren; three great-stepgrandchildren; and close friend, Ruth Wickbolt.
She was preceded in death by her parents; second husband, Harry McNutt; third husband, Elmer Buehler; daughter, Phyllis Covey Bailey; son, Norman Covey; one child in infancy; and grandson, Paul Bailey.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today, at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the church or the Apostolic Christian Resthaven.

Norma M. Byrnes of Geneva
Funeral services for Norma M. Byrnes (nee Jukkala), 74, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, at Geneva Lutheran Church, 301 S. Third St., Geneva. She will lie in state from 9 a.m. until the time of services.
Rev. Paul Hammar will officiate.
Born May 5, 1924, in Tapiola, Mich., the daughter of Leonard and Annie (nee Sierra) Jukkala, she passed away Friday, March 12, 1999, at Delnor Community Hospital in Geneva. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Geneva.
A member of Geneva Lutheran Church, she was a homemaker who loved gardening, doing volunteer work with the seniors at Hotel Baker. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Mrs. Byrnes is survived by her daughters, Linda (Mike) Zierk of Elgin and Marilyn (Bill) Hardt of Naperville; grandchildren, Brad (Kim) Zierk of Schaumburg and Eric Zierk, who is a student at Western Illinois University; brothers, Matt (Martha) Jukkala, Arvi (Jean) Jukkala and Jack Jukkala, all of Michigan; and stepbrother, John Sierra of Michigan.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two stepbrothers; one stepsister; and husband, Charles R. in 1983.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, at Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. State St., Geneva.

Jeane Comeau of Naperville
Services for Jeane Comeau, 53, will begin at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville, and proceed to St. Raphael Church, 1215 Modaff Road, Naperville, for a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial.
Born Jan. 3, 1946, in Spencerville, Ohio, she died Saturday, March 13, 1999, at Edward Hospital in Naperville. Interment will be private.
Mrs. Comeau was employed as a banquet bartender at Hyatt Lodge in Oak Brook. She enjoyed golfing and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her husband, Bernie; children, Michael-Ann Comeau, John Comeau, Cassie Comeau and Todd Williamson, all of Naperville; and her sister, Patricia Williamson of Oak Park.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 999 N. Main St., Glen Ellyn, IL 60137.

Aldine A. Craven of Itasca
Memorial visitation for Aldine A. Craven (nee Galloni), 70, will be held from 4 to 7 p.m., with prayers being said at 6:30 p.m., at The Oaks Funeral Home, 1201 E. Irving Park Road, Itasca.
Born Nov. 9, 1928, in Chicago, she died Saturday, March 13, 1999, at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital. Interment will be private.
A homemaker, she was the wife of Armond Craven; mother of Jeffery (Melody) Craven, Joanne (Robert)Edwards and Jeanne (Frederic) Clausen; sister of Joseph (Mae) Galloni and Sandra Flynn; grandmother of Jennifer, Thomas, Lori, Jacquelyn, Kimberly, James, Amy and Emily.

Doris R. Engelhardt formerly of Palatine/Inverness
A memorial service for Doris R. Engelhardt, 86, of Naperville, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Palatine. Rev. Michelle McNamara will officiate.
Born Aug. 30, 1912, in Chicago, she passed away Thursday, March 11, 1999, at The Tillers in Oswego. Interment will be private.
She was one of the original residents of Inverness and former wife of the first mayor of Inverness. She was a member of the Garden Club, enjoyed bowling, and was a volunteer at Northwest Community Hospital. She also enjoyed golfing , reading, traveling and antiques.
Survivors include her daughter, Margo (John) Voltin of Austin, Texas; son, Robert (Joan) Engelhardt of Naperville; grandchildren, Dawn and Robert Engelhardt, John Eric Voltin and Shauna Martin; and sister, Edna Wachs of Palatine.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William.
Memorials may be made to St. Paul United Church of Christ in Palatine.

Edwin W. Feare a 19-year resident of Fox Lake
Funeral services for Edwin W. Feare, 87, formerly a 33-year resident of Park Ridge, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at Grove Memorial Chapel, 1199 S. Arlington Heights Road (three blocks south of Biesterfield Road), Elk Grove Village.
Born in Chicago, Mr. Feare died Sunday, March 14, 1999, at Northern Illinois Medical Center. Interment will be in Irving Park Cemetery, Chicago.
Mr. Fearehad retired after 32 years of service with Young and Rubicam Inc. Advertising Agency. He was the president of Schurz High School Class of 1930, and an avid golfer.
He was the beloved husband of Mary Helen (nee Strickler); proud father of Thomas E. and Richard A. (Jacqueline) Feare; brother of Violet (John) Patterson and the late Raymond A. Feare and Gladys (George) Stephens; and grandfather of Michael S., Laura J. and Nicole S. Feare.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home.

Caroline L. Jahnke formerly of Elmhurst
Services for Caroline L. Jahnke (nee Fritsch), 81, of Naperville, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at Pedersen Ryberg Mortuary, 435 N. York Road (three blocks north of North Avenue), Elmhurst.
Born June 7, 1917, in Chicago, she died Sunday, March 14, 1999, in Naperville. Interment will be in Irving Park Cemetery, Chicago.
A homemaker, Mrs. Jahnke had been a resident of Elmhurst for more than 35 years and was currently a resident of the Independence Village Retirement Community in Naperville.
She was the beloved wife of the late Earl Jahnke; loving mother of Richard (Carole) Jahnke and Alice (Tom) Ballent; proud grandmother of Kim, Chris, Joe, Adam and Wendy; fond sister of Marie Reinecke; and dear aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home.

Sharon M. Jellings of Waukegan
Funeral services for Sharon M. Jellings (nee Shafer), 59, will be held at noon Wednesday, at Salata-Gurnee Funeral Home, 4190 Old Grand Ave., Gurnee.
Born May 22, 1939, in Waukegan, the daughter of Earl and Martha (nee Trudeau) Shafer, she passed away Friday, March 12, 1999, at St. Therese Hospital.
Interment will follow the services in Northshore Garden Cemetery, North Chicago.
She is survived by her mother, Martha Shafer of Waukegan. She was the cherished mother of Debra (Philip) Moncrief (nee Yuill) of Port Orchard, Wash. and Diana (Paul) Tippman; sister of Thomas (Jane) Shafer of Spring Grove; and loving grandmother of Philip and Michelle Moncrief and Joseph, Zachary and Emily Tippman.
Sharon was preceded in death by her father in 1989.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home.

Janet Jones of Buffalo Grove
Memorial services for Janet Jones (nee Day), 55, will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 20, at Kingswood United Methodist Church, 401 W. Dundee Rd., Buffalo Grove. A family visitation will be held at 10 a.m.
Born May 13, 1943, in Chicago, she died Friday, March 5, 1999, in Buffalo Grove.
She was the beloved wife of Stanley A. Jones; loving mother of Kimberly (Craig) Meyer and Jill (Thomas) Nailor; dear grandmother of Nicole and Ashley Meyer; and fond sister of Jean (Robert) Fisher, Carol (Toby) Baumgartner and William Day Jr.
