Harold W. Knight formerly of Elgin
Funeral services for Harold W. Knight, 85, most recently of Homossa, Fla., were held in December in Homossa Springs, Fla.
Born in Barrington, he died Wednesday, Dec. 9, 1998, in Homossa.
Mr. Knight was a retired auditor with the Federal Milk Market Administration in Chicago. He was the past president of the Lauderdale By the Sea Lions Club from 1980 to 1982 and a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Homossa.
Survivors include his wife, Viola Knight; daughter, Joyce (Clifford) Fleming of Valparaiso, Ind.; brothers, Theodore (Erna) Knight of West Dundee and Norbert (Helen) Knight of Palm Desert, Calif.; sisters, Marilyn(Frank) Cassata of Whitefish, Mont., and Lorene Switzer of Elgin; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister; and one niece.
Arrangements were made by Wait Ross Allanson Funeral Chapel, Elgin.

James R. Lawrence, 70, of Schaumburg, died Thursday, Dec. 31. Arrangements were made by Grove Memorial Chapel, Elk Grove Village, (847) 640-0566.

Louise R. LeClair of Highland Park
Services for Louise R. LeClair, 68, will be held at 10 a. m. Saturday, at Immaculate Conception Church, 770 Deerfield Rd., Highland Park. A gathering will follow immediately at the IC School.
Born Oct. 10, 1930, in Evanston, she died Thursday, Dec. 31, 1998, at home.
Burial will be private.
She was a homemaker and former member of the Highland Park Women's Club.
Survivors include her husband, Robert S. LeClair of Highland Park; children, Susan (Ray) Bohlin of Dallas, Texas, Diane (Tom) DeMarco of Prairie View, Bob (Laura) LeClair of Port Orange, Fla., Tom (Jane) LeClair of Tinley Park, Nanci (Dennis) Nedweski of Kenosha, Wis., Julie (David) Vetter of Gurnee and Bill (Katie) LeClair of Gurnee; 23 grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and dear friends, Angie and Red Neal of Highland Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of choice.

Elsie C. Leider of Des Plaines
Elsie C. Leider (nee Moscovitz), 87, formerly a longtime resident of Chicago, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 30, 1998. Interment will be private.
She was the beloved wife of the late Louis M.; loving mother of Sandra (Isaac) Juneby and Michael (Nina); devoted grandmother of Edward Goldgehn, Margery Olund, Skye Juneby, David (Kimberly) Leider and the late Lisa Marshall; and greatgrandmother of six.

Stephen J. Lis of Glenview
A funeral Mass for Stephen J. Lis, 67, will be celebrated at 10 a. m. Saturday, at St. Isaac Jogues Church, Niles.
Born July 19, 1931, in Chicago, he died Tuesday, Dec. 29, 1998, in Evanston. Entombment will be in St. Adalbert Cemetery, Niles.
He was the beloved husband of Virginia Lis (nee Jagiello); loving father of Joseph, Daniel, Annette (Brian) Dopp and Suzanne (Daniel) Daley; and cherished grandfather of Brandon and Patrick.
Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p. m. today, at Malec & Sons Funeral Home, 6000 N. Milwaukee Ave., Chicago.

Timothy James `TJ' MacIsaac of Arlington Heights
A prayer service for `TJ' MacIsaac, age 7 months, will be held at noon Saturday, at Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road (four blocks south of Palatine Road), Arlington Heights.
Born May 24, 1998, at Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, he died Wednesday, Dec. 30, 1998, at Hoffman Estates Medical Center. Interment will be in All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines.
Survivors include his parents, Doug and Sue (nee Walter) MacIsaac; brother, Justin; grandparents, Arch and MargaretMacIsaac of Plymouth, Mass., and Robert Walter of New Buffalo, Mich.; and uncles, Tim Walter, John (Gail) MacIsaacand Dan MacIsaac.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Betty Walter.
Visitation will be from 10 a. m. until the time of services at noon Saturday, at the funeral home.

James C. Mueller of Hoffman Estates
Services for James C. Mueller, 42, will begin with prayers at 9:15 a. m. Saturday, at Ahlgrim & Sons Funeral Home, 330 W. Golf Road, Schaumburg, and continue with Mass at 10a. m. at the Church of the Holy Spirit, 1451 W. Bode Road, Schaumburg.
Born April 23, 1956, in Chicago, he died Tuesday, Dec. 29, 1998, in Hoffman Estates. Interment will be private.
Mr. Mueller had been employed by Northtown Mechanical and was a member of the Pipe Fitters Association Local 597.
He was the beloved husband of Kristen Mueller (nee Munson); devoted father of Jimmy and Jessica; loving son of Barbara Mueller and the late Clarence Mueller; loving son-in-law of Theodore and Arlene DiVito; dear brother of Steve (Ann) Mueller; and caring uncle of Timothy Mueller and Jennifer Ventrella.
Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p. m. today, at the funeral home.

Russel Periman formerly of Wauconda
Memorial services for Russel Periman, 74, most recently of Gold Canyon, Ariz., will be held on Saturday, at Gold Canyon United Methodist Church.
Born March 26, 1924, in Milo, Mo., to Elbert and Vivian (nee Barton) Periman, he died Monday, Dec. 28, 1998, in Gold Canyon. Interment will be private.
A veteran, Mr. Periman had served in the 82nd Air-Borne Division of the Army. Prior to his retirement, hehad worked as the superintendent in engineering services for a Veterans Administration hospital.
He was the beloved husband of Frances Periman; loving father of Terry Periman and the late Tom (Jo Anne) Periman, who preceded him in May 1998; devoted grandfather of Kelly Ann; and dear brother of Clifford and Everett Periman.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix, AZ 85014.

Robert T. Piasecki of Grayslake
Mass for Robert T. Piasecki, 65, formerly of Chicago, will be celebrated at 10 a. m. Saturday, at St. Joseph Church, 121 E. Maple, Libertyville.
Born Dec. 21, 1933, in Chicago, he died Wednesday, Dec. 30, 1998, at Condell Medical Center in Libertyville.
Burial will be in Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville.
Mr. Piasecki, a veteran of the Army, was a retired employee of Mundelein High School. He had lived inthe Lake County area for 28 years.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Jane (nee Olker); children, Mark (Nancy) Piasecki of Mundelein, Bob (Mary) Piasecki of Round Lake and Susan (Scott) Nicholson of Kenosha, Wis.; grandchildren, Justin, Steven, Kristin, Jessica, Erin and Eleanor Piasecki and Sarah, Katie and Jack Nicholson; and three sisters.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p. m. today, at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, 101 Park Place, Libertyville.

Robert L. Schachtner of Huntley
A Mass of Christian Burial for Robert L. Schachtner, 66, will be celebrated at 10 a. m. Saturday, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Huntley with the Rev. Robert M. Garrity officiating.
Born Dec. 10, 1932, in Woodstock, to Louis and Anna (nee Wieser) Schachtner, he died Monday, Dec. 28, 1998, at Rush-Presbyterian-St Luke's Medical Center, Chicago, following a long battle with cancer. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Huntley.
A lifelong resident of Huntley, Mr. Schachtner was a graduate of Huntley High School and went on to serve in the Army during the Korean War from 1954 to 1955. He was employed by Dean Foods in Huntley, where he worked for 44 years before retiring in 1994. Mr.
Schachtner was a lifelong member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Huntley, a member of American Legion Post 673, where he served as adjutant and commander, and a member of the Huntley Planning Commission for many years. He was also a member of the Woodstock Squares square dance club and Rhythm Rounds Dance Club, was an avid fisherman, and raised evergreens for a hobby. Most of all, he loved his family and friends.
Surviving are his wife, Carolyn McCoy Schachtner of Huntley, whom he married April 7, 1956in Huntley; sons, Steven Schachtner of Eugene, Ore., and David (Laurie) Schachtner of McHenry; daughters, Susan (Lin) Dailey of Yorkville and Luanne (Dan) Kuna of Marietta, Ga.; and nine grandchildren.
He is also survived by his sister, Mary (Ted) Cordogan and her children, Tom Cordogon, Rebecca (Gary) Edwards and Michelle (Jim) Belton; and brotherin-law, Bill (Joan) McCoy and his children, Ann (Will) Welsh and Kathy (Scott) Hilgemann.
Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p. m. today, at the James A. O'Connor Funeral Home, 11603 E. Main St., Huntley.

Joseph N. Schmidt of Elburn
Services for Joseph N. Schmidt, 83, will begin at 10 a. m. Saturday, at Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. State St., Geneva, proceeding to St. Peter Catholic Church, 1891 Kaneville Road, Geneva, for Mass at 10:30 a. m. The Rev. Joseph F. Jarmoluk will officiate.
Born Aug. 29, 1915, in Naperville Township, to Matthew and Catherine (nee Schwartz) Schmidt, he passed away Tuesday, Dec. 29, 1998, at his home.
Burial will be in Marywood Cemetery, Aurora.
In his early years, Mr. Schmidt had worked for Colonel McCormick at Cantigny in Winfield. Later he farmed in Glen Ellyn and was the last farmer in that area. He then continued farming in the Elburn area.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Louise Schmidt (nee Frieders); son, Jerry (Lonna) Schmidt of Elburn; daughters, Ruthanne (Gary) Lewis of Merrimac, Wis., and Jean M. (John) Abner of Elburn; grandchildren, Brett (DeAnn) Lewis, Brian (Joni) Lewis, Lori (Chuck) Fiene, Brad (Angee) Lewis, Jim (Beth) Schmidt, Kevin Schmidt, Kelly Schmidt, and Jason, Jodi (fiance, Cory Hauser), Joy and Julie Abner; and 11 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Al (Leone) Schmidt of Warrenville; sister, Ceil Schwickert; and sister-in-law, Ruth Schmidt.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ralph Schmidt; and brother-in-law, Nick Schwickert.
Visitation will befrom 3 to 8 p. m. today, at the funeral home, with the Rosary recited at 7:30 p. m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials maybe made to the St. Peter Building Fund; to the VNA Hospice, 12245 Corporate Blvd, Aurora, IL 60504; or to the Provena Mercy Center Foundation, 1325 N. Highland, Aurora, IL 60506.
