A celebration of the lives of Billie A. and Clifford W. Lundin of Tower Lakes will be held at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, at the Union League Club of Chicago, 65 W. Jackson Blvd., Chicago.
They were together for more than 55 years and forevermore! They were the loving parents of Cheri, Craig (Carol) and Chris (Erni); devoted Near-Near and Far-Far (grandparents) to Cassidy, Connery and Cheline; and beloved members of a treasured extended family.

Frieda Lillian Marcus of Wheaton
Services for Frieda Lillian Marcus, 74, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, at St. John Lutheran Church, Main and Seminary Streets, Wheaton. The Rev. Clarence Eifert will officiate.
Born Nov. 5, 1924, in Addison, to Henry and Frieda Hahn, she died Monday, March 15, 1999, at Delnor Hospital. Interment will be in Glen Oak Cemetery, Hillside, following the services.
Mrs. Marcus had been a resident of Wheaton since 1957 and was retired from the Container Corporation in Carol Stream. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Wheaton.
Surviving are her husband, George F. Marcus; children, George H. Marcus of Carol Stream and Janice Marcusof Yorkville; grandchildren, Tim, Jennifer, Amy and Brett Marcus; sister, Julie (Charlie) Trout of Elburn; and brother, Gary Hahn of Chicago.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton.

Laura E. Marotti of Hoffman Estates
A funeral Mass for Laura E. Marotti (nee Pepich), 84, will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, at the Church of the Holy Spirit.
Born Nov. 28, 1914, in New York, she died Sunday, March 14, 1999, at the Lexington in Streamwood. Entombment will be in St. Catherine's Cemetery, Spring Lake, N. J.
She was the wife of the late Ernest Marotti; mother of Linda (Bob) Ralls, E. William (Doris) Marotti, Michael (Barbara) Marotti and Laura (Joseph) Pepich; grandmother of 13; and great-grandmother of seven.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, at Michael's Funeral Home, 800 S. Roselle Road, Schaumburg.

Catherine A. McRory (nee Meckl), 98, of Schaumburg, died Saturday, March 13, 1999. Arrangements were made by Michael's Funeral Home, Schaumburg, (847) 891-2900.

Joseph A. `Al' Meersman 51-year resident of Palatine
Prayers for Joseph A. `Al' Meersman, 75, will be said at 9:30 a.m. today, at Ahlgrim and Sons Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Hwy., Palatine, followedby a 10 a.m. Mass at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 465 N. Benton St., Palatine.
Born Feb. 23, 1924, in Chicago, he died Saturday, March 13, 1999, at his residence. Burial will be in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.
Mr. Meersman was a retired electrician and a member of IBEW Local 134, Chicago.
Survivors include his wife, Alice Meersman of Palatine; daughter, Alana (Richard) Ashbrook of Eureka, Ill.; sons, Michael (Ann) Meersman of Palatine, Charles Meersman of Roscoe and Greg (Karen) Meersman of Palatine; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and brothers, Donald (Joan) Meersman of Chicago and Robert (the late Marilyn) Meersman of Mount Prospect.

Emily Melone of Schaumburg
Prayers for Emily Melone (nee Del Vento), 82, will be said at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday, at Countryside Funeral Home, 1640 Greenmeadows Blvd. (at Barrington Rd. ), Streamwood/Schaumburg. Mass will follow at 11 a.m. at St. Marcelline Church, Schaumburg.
Born March 13, 1917, in Chicago, she died Sunday, March 14, 1999, at the Benchmark of Hoffman Estates. Burial will be in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside.
Shewas the wife of the late Dominic; mother of Richard (Nancy) of Chicago, Peter of McFarland, Wis., Dominic (Emile) of Schaumburg, Anthony (Jolanta) of Seattle and the late Patricia; grandmother of 10; great-grandmother of six; andsister of John (late Joann) Del Vento, Ida (Walt) Nelson, and the late Albert (late Alice) Del Vento.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today, at the funeral home.

Marjorie E. Montgomery of Libertyville Township
Private services for Marjorie E. Montgomery, 83, of Fort Dodge, Iowa, were held Monday, at Burnett-Dane Funeral Home, Libertyville.
Born Aug. 18, 1915, in Fort Dodge, she passed away Friday, March 12, 1999, in Lake Bluff. Interment will be in Fort Dodge.
She had remained a Fort Dodge resident all her life, and was a member of the First Church of Christ, Scientist in Fort Dodge.
Surviving are her son, Karl (Susan) Montgomery and grandchild, Andrea Montgomery, all of Omaha, Neb.; and sister, Georgeann(late Hale) Tognoni of Phoenix, Ariz.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis and Eva Neudeck; husband, Ralph Montgomery in 1986; and daughter, Joyce Montgomery.

Ross Moore of Bensenville
A memorial service for Ross Moore will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, at United Methodist Church of Franklin Park, 9857 Schiller Blvd., Franklin Park. Pastor Steven Williams will officiate.
Born Sept. 23, 1908, in Dwight, Ontario, Canada, Mr. Moore died Saturday, March 13, 1999, at home.
He retired after 37 years from the Milwaukee Railroad Railway, where he had been employed as a switchman.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Elizabeth (nee Hinds); daughter, Margaret `Peg' Granger of Elk Grove Village; grandchildren, David R. Granger and Mark A. (Kathleen) Granger; and great-grandson, Andrew Ross Granger.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

Elmer E. Nist of St. Charles
A private memorial service for Elmer E. Nist, 88, will be held Wednesday, at Norris Funeral Home, St. Charles. Dr. John R. Rodgers will officiate.
Born June 29, 1910, in Pittsburgh, Pa., the son of Louis and Esther (nee McAdams) Nist, he died Saturday, March 13, 1999, at Provena Pineview Care Center in St. Charles.
Mr. Nist is survived by his wife of 60 years, Zeta (nee Wise) Nist; daughter, Audene (Russell) Schindehette of Phoenix, Ariz.; grandsons, Russell (Theresa) Schindehette, Steven (Lori) Schindehette, Richard Schindehette and Robert Schindehette; great-granddaughter, Claire; brothers, Ralph Nist of Florida and Richard (Janyce) of California; and sisters, Florence (William) Jacobs of Texas, Virginia Matvey of Pennsylvania, Gladys (Nathaniel) Dixon of Pennsylvania and Emma (Charles) Mason of Massachusetts.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Mary, Lucille, Helen, Dorothy and Ruth; and brothers, Louis Walter, Louis Frederick, James, Harry, John and Howard.

Ruth I. Nolan formerly of Barrington
Memorial services for Ruth I. Nolan (nee Lovely), 77, also formerly of West Baden and French Lick, Ind., will be held at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, at The Community Church of Barrington, 407 S. Grove Ave., Barrington.
Born July 8, 1921, in Chicago, Mrs. Nolan died Saturday, March 13, 1999, at St. Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates.
Mrs. Nolan was a member of the League of Women Voters, General Federation of Womens Clubs and past president of the P. E. O. Sisterhood. She was a volunteer for F. I. S. H. and PADS.
Survivors include her son, John (Jean) Nolan of Seaside, Calif.; daughters, Kathryn Nolan of Barrington, Jennifer (Kary) Miller of Barrington and Maggie Nolan of Streamwood; and grandchildren, Claire, Daniel and Colin.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John F.; two brothers; and two sisters.
Memorials appreciated in memory of Mrs. Nolan to the Volunteer Center of Greater Barrington, P. O. Box 450, Barrington, IL 60011.

Herbert J. Peterson of Des Plaines
Services for Herbert J. Peterson, 84, a resident of Des Plaines for 52 years and formerly of Norwood Park, will be held at 11 a.m. today, at M. J. Suerth Funeral Home, 6754 N. Northwest Highway, Chicago.
Born May 6, 1914, in Chicago, he died Friday, March 12, 1999, at Northwest Community Healthcare, Arlington Heights. Burial will be in Ridgewood Cemetery, Des Plaines.
Mr. Peterson had a long and distinguished career starting in 1937 when he joined local businessman and philanthropist, Carl Clare, and became one of the founding employees of the C. P. Clare Company. During his more than 40 years of service, later as vice president of manufacturing, he was continuously responsible for all manufacturing ofthe precision electrical relay and switch company, which employed more than 3000 workers in 12 locations across the globe. Mr. Peterson was personally responsible for all aspects of the business, including concept, site selection, initial staffing and ongoing operations, for the company's facilities in Chicago and Mundelein, Ill., Fairview, N. C., Rapid City, S. D., Port Falls, Idaho, Nogales and Guadalahara, Mexico, Tongeron, Belgium, Toronto, Canada, and Chi Tu, Taiwan. In 1987 the governor of Illinois, James Thompson, was so impressed by the positive influence that the Clare Company had on Illinois business and industry, he declared April 7, 1987, to be Clare Day in Illinois.
Mr. Peterson retired from active involvement in the company in 1987, continuing for an additional year as a consultant and troubleshooter of other divisions of General Instrument Corporation which had acquired primary interest in the Clare Company in 1967.
Mr. Peterson was very active in the Des Plaines community and was a member of the Des Plaines Elks Club. He also maintained a close association with his high school classmates in a group known as the X32 Club, which met monthly for more than 67 years.
He was the beloved husband for 58 years of Doris Peterson (nee Richter); loving father of Linda (Bruce) Martin of Barrington and Jack (Arlene) Peterson of Costa Mesa, Calif.; proud grandfather of Tracy, John, Jennifer and Amy; fond brother of Alice Johnson, Harry and Richard Peterson, and the late Margaret Peterson; and dear uncle of many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Heart Association or to the American Kidney Fund would be appreciated.

Clayton E. Peterson Jr. of Mundelein
Memorial services for Clayton E. Peterson Jr., 51, will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, at Meadows Funeral Home, 3625 Kirchoff Road, Rolling Meadows.
Born April 10, 1947, in Stanley, Wis., he died Saturday, March 13, 1999, at his residence.
Mr. Peterson was employed in network support for computers. A veteran, he had served in the Air Force during the Vietname War.
He was the father of Michael C. (Judith) Anderson and Jeffrey A. (Beth) Anderson; grandfather of Sandra, Jessica, William and Jonathan; son of Clayton E. (Marcella) Peterson Sr. and the late Joyce Peterson; and brother of Charles (Mary Ellen) Peterson, Robert Peterson, Roberta Williams, Pat Beinlick, Mitzi (Rick) Moore, Genette Peterson, Doreen (Edward) Cybulski and Donna Hyser.

Rev. Norbert Piper, 92, of Glendale Heights, died Friday, March 12, 1999. Arrangements were made by Cypress Funeral Home, Glendale Heights, (630) 653-7666.
