Casmier J. Twardy of Libertyville
Mass for Casmier J. Twardy, 83, will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at St. Joseph Church, 121 E. Maple, Libertyville.
Born March 3, 1916, in North Chicago, he died Saturday, March 13, 1999, at Winchester House in Libertyville. Burial will be in Ascension Cemetery.
Mr. Twardy retired after 33 years with Cyclone Fence of Waukegan and from Abbott Laboratories. He was a member of many organizations, including Croatian Fraternal Organization (CFU #75) of Waukegan, Polish National Alliance and St. Jospeh Parish in Libertyville. An Army veteran of World War II, he also belonged to the Disabled American Veterans and the Order of the Purple Heart.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Amelia (nee Penich); daughter, Denise (Richard) Charts Sr. of Libertyville; his grandchildren, the joys of his life, Richard Charts Jr. and Amelia Charts, both of Libertyville; brothers, Thomas (Mary) Twardy of Pleasant Prairie, Wis. and John (the late Jean) Twardy of Waukegan; sisters, Lottie (the late Walter) Bielen of Waukegan, Stella (the late Ignatz) of Twenty-Nine Palms, Calif. and Mary (the late Al) Phipps of Yuca Valley, Calif.; in-laws, Katherine Nemzick of Waukegan, Stanley Jakaitis of Waukegan and Stephanie Daujotas of Papillion, Neb.; special cousin, Victor (Rose) Dietz of Waukegan; and many loving nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Diane Marie Twardy, in 1954; brothers, William Niemczyk and Stanley Nemzick; and sister, Frances Jakaitis.
Visitation will be from 9 to 10:45 a.m., Wednesday, at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, Ltd., 101 Park Place, Libertyville.

Sophie Voelker (nee Rychlik), 67, died Friday, March 12, 1999. Arrangements were made by Cypress Funeral Home, Glendale Heights, (630) 653-7666.

Betty M. Voller (nee Helfrick), 89, of Lombard, died Sunday, March 14, 1999. Arrangements were made by Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, Lombard, (630) 627-1400.

Harmon G. Washington of Libertyville
Private services for Harmon G. Washington, 60, of Chicago, were held Monday, at Burnett-Dane Funeral Home, Libertyville.
Born Aug. 14, 1938, in Chicago, he passed away Saturday, March 13, 1999, in Lake Bluff. Interment was in Lakeside Cemetery, Libertyville.
He was a lifelong Chicago resident and a computer analyst.
Surviving are his cousin, Katherine Knight of Dowagiac, Mich.; and dear friend, Arnette Bradley of Chicago.

Walter J. Wierzbicki
Services for Walter J. Wierzbicki, 75, of Crystal Lake, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at Kolssak Funeral Home, 189 S. Milwaukee Ave. (two blocks south of Dundee Rd. ), Wheeling.
Born July 23, 1923, in New York City, N. Y., he died Saturday, March 13, 1999, at Northern Illinois Medical Center, McHenry. Burial will be in Maryhill Cemetery, Niles.
Mr. Wierzbicki was retired after serving 30 years in the U. S. Navy. He was the commander of American Legion Post General C. Pulaski 86, and a member of the Polish Legion of American Veterans and the VFW Fleet Reserve.
He was the dear brother of Victor (Dorothy) Wierzbicki of Jacksonville, Fla.; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews; and cherished family friend of Virginia and the late Ernie Stetz and their children.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today, at the funeral home.

Linda M. Wolter of Arlington Heights
Memorial services for Linda M. Wolter (nee Sammarco), 52, will be held at 8 p.m. Wednesday, at Lauterburg and Oehler Funeral Home, 2000 E. Northwest Hwy., Arlington Heights.
Born Jan. 31, 1947, in Chicago, Mrs. Wolter died Saturday, March 14, 1999, at home.
A manager and accounting specialist for I. B. M., she was the wife of John A. Wolter; sister of Lawrence (Patricia) Sammarco and Karen (Alan) Melnik; sister-in-law of Charles (Antionette) Wolter; and aunt of Nicole and Karen.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home.

Patricia E. Swan of Oak Lawn
Memorial services for Patricia E. Swan, 65, will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, at Yurs-Peterson Funeral Home, 209 S. Batavia Ave., Batavia, with the Rev. Richard F. Watts officiating.
Born July 18, 1933, in Milwaukee, Wis., she passed away Monday, March 15, 1999, at the University of Chicago Hospital. Interment will be private.
Patricia was blessed with a great poetic sense of humor. She enjoyed music, reading her Bible, animals, especially cats; and spending special times with her family and beloved grandchildren.
She is survived by four children, Walter (Deborah) Swan of Batavia, Elizabeth (Tom) Lewis of Orlando, Fla., Richard (Tammy) Swan of Lake Marion, Ill. and Sharon (Michael) Maulding of New Lenox; 13 grandchildren, Bryon (Tracey) Swan, Derron Swan, Kathleen, Timothy and Patricia Lewis, Scott and Steve Swan, Ryan, Eric and Matthew Maulding, and Leslie, Lindsey and Mark Warda; and three great-grandchildren, Justyne, Jairen and Brennon Swan.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter B. Swan, and son, Timothy Swan.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until the time of memorial services at 3 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home.

Alice R. Anderson of Wheaton
Family and friends of Alice R. Anderson (nee NeCrosby), formerly a 50-year resident of LaGrange and a 14-year resident of Naperville, are invited to gather on Friday at Wheaton Christian Reformed Church, 711 E. Harrison, Wheaton, for a memorial service which will take place at 7 p.m.
Mrs. Anderson was born Jan. 19, 1911 (she always found it interesting that her birthday could be said `1-19-1911'), and passed away Monday, March 15, 1999, at Wynscape Nursing Home, Wheaton.
Alice had worked as an outside plant engineer for Illinois Bell Company from 1953 until she retired in 1973. She was past president of the Chicago Osteopathic Women's Auxiliary, West Suburban Business and Professional Women's Club and the Ogden Trails Chapter of the Telephone Pioneersof America.
She was the beloved wife of the late Dr. Eugene W. Anderson, whom she married in 1934 at the World's Fair; loving mother of Eugene Jr. (Lois), Robert (Linda), Gordon (Susan) and Donald (Sharon) Anderson; fond grandmother of seven; great-grandmother of four; dear sister of Lois Staley of Austin, Texas; and fond aunt of one niece and two nephews.
A memorial visitation will be from 5 p.m. until the time of services Friday, at the church.
In lieu of flowers, donations to your favorite charity would be appreciated.

Ethel S. Anderson (nee Heiland), 95, of Lombard, died Tuesday, March 16, 1999, at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, Lombard, (630) 627-1400.

Bernard L. Anderson of Des Plaines
Prayers for Bernard L. Anderson, 59, will be held at 9 a.m. Friday, at Oehler Funeral Home, 555 Lee St., Des Plaines, followed by a 10:30 a.m. Mass at Most Holy Redeemer, 9525 S. Lawndale, Evergreen Park.
Born July 7, 1939, in Chicago, he died Tuesday, March 16, 1999, at Holy Family Hospital. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Alsip.
He was the husband of Debra L. (nee Brody); father of John (Maria) Anderson of Grayslake, Matthew (Kathleen) Anderson of Des Plaines, Helen M. Anderson of Arlington Heights and Mary Catherine Villarreal of Buffalo Grove; son of Margaret Francis Grey of Worth; brother of Gregory (Marge) Anderson of Palos Hills, Mary (Al) Grzyb of Chicago and the late John Anderson of Palos Hills; grandfather of 10; and uncle of many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Anderson.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today, at Oehler Funeral Home, 555 Lee St., Des Plaines.
Memorials made to Vitas Hospice or Holy Family Hospital would be greatly appreciated.

Harriet Prentiss Bougearel-Knouff formerly of Barrington Hills
Services for Harriet Prentiss Bougearel-Knouff, 93, of Burr Ridge, also formerly of Lake Forest, Evanston and Chicago, will begin at 10:30 a.m. today, at Donnellan Family Funeral Home, 1571 Maple Ave., Evanston, and continue with a Mass at 11 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Lake St. at Oak Ave., Evanston. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
She was the wife of the late Lorentz Knouff; loving mother of John (Nina) Bougearel; dear grandmother of John, Linda, Molly and Sue; and great-grandmother of Colin, Katelyn and Michael.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of services today, at the funeral home.
Donations may be made to The Anti Cruelty Society of Chicago, in lieu of flowers.

Virginia Nell Brumagin of Wheaton
Services and interment for Virginia Nell Brumagin, 90, will be private.
Born Feb. 12, 1909, in Elwood City, Pa., she died Saturday, March 13, 1999, at DuPage Convalescent Center, Wheaton.
Mrs. Brumagin was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Wheaton.
She is survived by her daughters, Susan (David) Stephen of Golden, Colo. and Karen (Norval) Loomis of Wheaton; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilson Charles Brumagin.
Memorials may be directed to the Hospice of DuPage.
Arrangements were made by Hultgren Funeral Home, Wheaton.

Hazel Chamberlain of Palatine
Services and interment for Hazel Chamberlain (nee Austin) will be private.
Survivors include her daughter, Joan (Bill) Kamin of Palatine; grandsons, Robert (Deborah) Sander and James (Jeannette) Sander; great-grandchildren, Amy, Cody, Meagan, Logan, Jeffrey and Danny; and sister, Audrey Stanwood.
Shewas preceded in death by her husband, Carl, and son, Carl.
Memorials may be made to the Hospice of Northeastern Illinois, 410 S. Hager Ave., Barrington, IL 60010.
Arrangements were made by Ahlgrim and Sons Funeral Home, Palatine.

Wayne Lee Clark
A memorial service for Wayne Lee Clark, 56, most recently of Chicago, will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, at Grace Lutheran Church, 493 Forest Ave., Glen Ellyn.
Mr. Clark was director of IMC at Bloomingdale's DuJardin Elementary School and videographer for First Light Production in Burr Ridge. He was former AV director of Naperville North High School, and a member of Hudson-Essex-Terraplane Club and the Professional Car Society.
He was the beloved husband of Marlene (nee Fuhrman); dear father of Jennifer (Michael) Drew of Lombard; loving grandfather of Cassidy Jane and Samuel Vincent Drew; cherished brother of Carol (Arthur) Barlow of Munster, Ind.; devoted son of the late Raymond and Lucille Clark; fond nephew of many aunts and uncles; and special uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Saturday, at Tews Funeral Home, 18230 S. Dixie Hwy., Homewood.
